I want to have sliced, toasted garlic bread for breakfast today but we have already consumed the last garlic loaf bread hubby bought at Boyd’s last Saturday before they closed.

Thinking about this place, I sometimes can’t forget thinking about their Boyd’s Meaty Jeff Special Pizza which probably is my fave among their pizza. I suddenly remember that the last time we were there, I was able to take a peek of their kitchen. I wonder how hot it could be working in there for almost twelve hours with their hot oven that cooks these pizzas. This reminds me of what my friend who works part-time for a pizzeria abroad and told me how important it is for these workers to have disability insurance which includes in their case paid sick leave, short-term disability benefits, and long-term disability benefits. You know how difficult it often to get the disability benefits that affected workers deserve. I hope our workers here do have such help and benefits first and foremost.

This kind of thoughts come out when you go beyond the delicious food that is served in front of you and you come to think of the work condition of the people working inside those resto kitchens not particularly Boyd’s but it applies to all restos and fast food kitchens where workers or food crew are constantly exposed to conditions not as comfortable compared to other workers. This makes us appreciate the labor and work that they do in order to give us yummy and delicious food which we enjoy such as my fave garlic bread and pizza.

Hubby said it was okay to eat there as long a they would accept our credit card since we did not bring much cash. Hubby seemed relieved that fortunately Bangkok Wok now accepts credit card transactions unlike our last visit when they do not accept CCs yet but cash payments only and that has been quite a long while back. Since I mentioned the Grub Resto Cafe here in Davao in my last post, I suddenly missed Grub’s homerun pie dessert which is among my favorite desserts and a must try for allwho comes to visit Grub. if you have not been there, you’d have to find time and who knows you’ll also love this homerun pie as much as I do.

I told Ms. Dotty that first time I tried it there months ago that I surely am intrigued by it’s crust. Hubby liked it too! Try it and tell us what you think. We are reminded of crushed Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies or the Oreo Double Delight Peanut Butter ‘N Chocolate Creme sandwich cookies.

Speaking of berries, do you know raspberries as well as other berries like blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and cranberries  which contain phytonutrients that helps us fight cancer? Hmmm yummy and crispilicious but my mom won’t approve if I often eat this as this is high in fat content and sodium. This is not good for my health and I should know better or else I should be taking seriously my life insurance shopping for life insurance rates online and I got to do it immediately soon. Well as I said we ended up in Boyd’s Pizza House as the last thought I had as we went out of the house was I want to eat Isaac’s Pasta again! Yes, I wanted to eat it again since I don’t wanna have rice today. I did not regret the decision. It was a yummy and filling lunch!

If there is something on my mind now that I wanna eat and which you can say I am craving for at this time of the month, this is it! But I am worried about the small zits on my face now which I hope does not necessarily need getting an acne treatment and it makes me think of that proactiv review which I have been browsing through over and over since I wanna know if it is the right product for me if and when I really need treatment.

Long before they say if you keep eating nuts you’re more likely prone to pimples and acne. But there are times that I really crave for nuts and it might just be a coincidence that those zits come out just in time as these craving for nuts and other salty food.

But they ran out of their usual boxes today and so they were serving the fries this way similar to the ones used for siomai, dimsum, dumplings, etc.

I was about to suggest they can actually make their own for the meantime similar to those I’ve seen from one food retailer during an exhibit and bazaar I think that was last year. While I was munching on these french fries, I was reminded of a site I recently found which offers some of the finest box cutter available in the industry including safety box cutters for righthanders and lefthanders which could be very useful to make those temporary white boxes that could be used to serve these fries to customers. That online site also sells utility knives,  cardboard box cutters, as well as light weight box cutters.

I was also thinking a few days ago, I saw a worker in a bakeshop in the mall near our place, he was cutting out the plain white boxes where they would put cakes that they sell. Those improvised plain white boxes could be a better temporary box for food retailers  to use who would possibly want to save a little since those printed boxes could cost more and take more time to be delivered. Anyway, it’s the owners choice. I was just thinking of it as I finished off these french fries which my son did not consume earlier.
