I made the cover art for "The Great British Art Debate" zine the Tate just published.

Me on the front, Gilbert and George on the back - east London represent! ;-)

Copies will be given away for free at the Tate Britain this Friday (4th March 6:30-9:30pm) and on the 25th at a Tate sponsored event at Westfield Shopping Centre.

If you can't make those events, watch out for them placed in cafes and bars in London, and inserted in the April issue of Vice Magazine (London only)

In 2008 I had a show titled "Pastures New" at Extrabold Gallery in Luxembourg. I made so much work that some of it didn't get shown, and was later lost in the depths of the Extrabold vaults. Well it's finally been unearthed, and in thankfully in perfect condition. Both are now available to buy direct from me.

First up are the "Lovers" prints, depicting two lovers having a cuddle on a hilltop while the sun smiles on. Each is a limited edition of just 6 pieces, on handmade Indian rag paper, and they come in three colour ways - "Sunset" (pink paper) "Moonlight" (dark blue paper) and "Sunrise" (orange paper)

Size approx. 41 cms x 30 cms

60 euros (plus 10 euros shipping)

The second print unearthed is a two colour lino cut called "Happy By Myself". It comes in two different colour ways, one black and pale pink on pink paper, the other black and pale blue on blue paper. Each is an edition of 20, and measures approx. 21 cms x 19 cms.

STREET ART - THE EPHEMERAL REBELLION

During the summer I was filmed for a documentary to be screened on ARTE, the French/German culture channel. Unfortunately I'm not famous enough (or maybe it's because I refused to show my face - I'm anti-fame) and so my footage ended up on the cutting room floor. Bah! ;-)

robots in disguise

Since the financial crash and the internet have destroyed the record industry, times have been hard for small bands. My friends Robots In Disguise are trying to raise funds to finish their new album without the support from their label, and need your assistance.

You can help them by pre-buying copies of an album that doesn't yet exist (now that's a strange concept!) or other weird stuff like their used underwear. You can even book them to play a gig in your house, though you might need to nick your Dad's cheque book first...

The first image is a two colour lino print, only available directly from me. It measures 22 cms x 21 cms, is a signed and numbered edition of only 20, printed on 220 gram paper, and is just 25 Euros (plus 5 Euros shipping)

That's cheaper than a meal in a fancy restaurant, and it'll last a whole lot longer than a bunch of flowers!

The bottom image is a special edition version, printed one colour, on 300 gram Hahnmühle watercolour paper, then hand-coloured, so each is a one-off. I love lino prints. For me, the beauty of lino prints is that, even though the design on each print is the same, the texture of the print varies, so that no two are identical. In this age of perfect digital prints made by robots, it's nice to see the human hand involved. Or, in this case, the ape's paw, as all of these are hand-pressed by yours truly! My back is aching, but it's that healthy feeling of having done some "proper work". My Dad would be proud ;-)

'oversized & underpriced' - group show in berlin

I usually say no when asked to join group shows, unless they are for charity, so you know I'm more than happy to contribute to the Hatch sticker museum show "oversized and underpriced" as one of the charities they are supporting is the Skateistan project - www.skateistan.org

The permanently excited guys at Hatch gave out lots of giant German postal stickers to their favourite artists (and some of my favourites too, like Flying Fortress, Mymo, The Walters, and JUST). I've painted two of these for the show - a London greed worm and some Berlin Bein's.

Private view is on the 17th December, though I'm more likely to check it out on Sunday 20th, as there is free coffee and cake!

ABOVE: homeless not hopeless

Looking to buy some art for Xmas? Then don't buy from me - spend your cash on one of these hand coloured prints by ABOVE, as all the funds go to help a project to help homeless people in Portland, USA.

I read their stories on ABOVE's site. It's fucked up to see old people, people my parents age, living in the street. I stopped giving money to homeless people after seeing a guy I used to help out in London buying drugs, and since moving to Berlin I don't see any real homeless people, just drunk lazy punk kids begging, so I have put the idea of helping homeless people out of my mind (well, apart from building cardboard chapels and painting on matresses!)

Luckily, ABOVE hasn't, and neither should you!
