I've been quite lucky so far with accidents, my last car accident was a long time ago. My car was written off by the father of my insurance agent right outside his office, all a bit embarrassing really. But I won't tempt fate, ok, I will and here are few spectaculars.

Never show off in front of girls.

There's more to this than meets the eye. Maybe its a garage.

Nobody looks surprised here, maybe even the mule thinks this is normal.

No animals were hurt or injured in the making of this photograph, but a human was made to look very stupid.

When cycling, always look where you're going.

And always wear protective clothing, or at least clothing.

Back on the beach

This is a reprise of my very first blog post. Now that winter is upon us, in the northern hemisphere that is. It¨s nice to think about all the nice things that happen at the seaside.

Like getting tangled up in a chair. I'm sure the chair would collapse if he sat down.

But beaches are beautiful, without people, sometimes with! Get there early.

But don't go too early in the season.

Getting to the beach by plane is a good idea, but be careful where you park, the tide will come in.

Check the weather forecast before you leave.

And keep watching for slight changes.

Always obey the rules.

No hanky panky either,

children might be watching.

Watch out, the fish may bite.

But never fear, beach patrol is on hand,

looking for those tell tale signs of life.

You can see famous people at the seaside, always with hangers on!

Oh look! It's my girlfriend.

Luckily, the wife's looking the other way.

She always causes a storm.

I always cover up.

Some motorbike sidecars are funny, some are strange, all are interesting.

This is all 3 of the above, poor pig doesn't have a seat.

Very similar to the top photo, obviously taken before CD players were invented.

Drag Bikes are exciting and powerful, but not too clever at going round bends.

This one looks the part, but can it perform?

This one can, these beasts do 0 to 200mph in 6 seconds.

Another work of art and engineering.

Great concept, I'd like to see it perform.

Yes, it looks different, it's an electric drag bike.

Wish I had a video for this, I wonder how it sounds?

I used to be a fan of Custom Cars, though I never customized anything beyond wider wheels and seat covers.

These are the best wheels I ever saw.

Who said having a toilet humour shows lack of intelligence? Not me!

What I really admire is the US flag behind, it's like being patriotic somehow.

Is it just me? I really can't see a problem here.

This is actually a womens urinal, you figure it out. I'm still trying to. Any ideas?

Scooter world

I've never owned a scooter, but my Dad did when I was a boy. I was always dissapointed when he refused to put loads of mirrors on it. He was probably annoyed at me for asking, well it was the 60's. Here are some that I admired.

Awesome, but a bit top heavy. What happens if the scooter falls over?

Ok too, maybe a bit over the top, were all these mirrors necessary?

Hope there's a good battery for this lot. Maybe Mods were a bit scared of the dark.

He only needs 2 mirrors. Why does he need a scooter? Must be an image thing.

Definitely this would enhance my image!

He doesn't care, does he.

Why have a dog and bark yourself? Or do anything in fact!

Just 1 problem, where do you sit?

Scooters can be practical and fun.

They can be stylish and interesting!

Come in different shapes and sizes.

Sometimes, infact many times, it's hard to categorise pics into anything other than just plain weird. By that I mean, cross the street to avoid these people. Other weird things you can get closer, as long as they don't bite!

I love these, lots of work to get this, but it's worth the effort.

There's always something slightly comic about a sidecar stuck to a motorbike. It 's that Wallace and Gromit thing. Many sidecars are added as a serious transport attachment, some for entertainment, you choose from these.

Journey to Hell

Train travel should be comfortable, a bit luxurious with a nice drink, looking out the window with amazing scenery. It doesn't always end up this way. Too big a queue for example.

Just how do they all get on?

The tracks can be a bit wonky.

So, hold on tightly.

Looking out the window is fine.

You can see what's happening.

Luxury trains are the best way to travel.

But the other passengers can be dangerous.

So never take a shower!

Great Movies of the 70's

These are what we watched at the cinema when I was a teenager. No multiplexes then, just a choice of gallery or stalls. An usherette came round with ice creams and cold drinks. Plumes of curling cigarette smoke was caught in the light of the projection, great days, here's what we watched.

Bullitt, it came round for a 2nd viewing as a supporting movie, we flocked to see it.

A great way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Jaws, the scariest shark in the world, the first movie I took a girl to.

We had to sneak into this film, now it seems tame, then it was a worry.

I loved all the funny little noises he made, before he obliterated his enemies.

The first Vietnam movie I ever watched. I was as fascinated by the life in USA as I was with the Vietnam bits. Before, all movies were in New York or L.A.

I always had a problem with kids called Damien after this.

We watched this at least 3 times at the Cinema, it just kept returning.A boys film, girlfriends not invited.

On my travels last weekend I found this strange bicycle and took it's photo. I did hang about to see if it's owner would appear, but he was in a pub or something.

Wow! But never saw the owner. It wasn't locked, but who would steal this?
