It was the most memorable year yet. You all have been so supportive of what we do and we can't thank you enough. We are currently making plans to make 2009 even bigger and better. We have lots and lots of new dates and release plans coming soon. Stay tuned into the websites over the next couple of weeks and we'll let you know whats going on.

As for a road update, you guys and gals that have been with us over the last couple of months know what's been going on and that is craziness. It's been insane at some of the venues ... huge crowds and rowdy dance floors are all a band can ask for. We really enjoyed the holiday shows this year . We hope you guys enjoyed the guest musicians from all over the country we had with us over the holidays. We really enjoyed it. The Thanksgiving shows with Jason Flournoy on the Banjo were some high octane stuff. He can really bring it and in any direction at anytime. He is a true master of his instrument. We also want to thank Dave and Annie Kirkpatrick for all the help over Christmas. If you're in Nashville look them up at Layla's. We also got to do some hanging with a lot of people we haven't seen in years. To start the year off, we had a good weekend this past weekend. We had the Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin, show up for our show on Friday. The young and amazing "T-Bone" Tristen Smith showed up last night in Wheeling picking his Crook made Tele. If you haven't heard of Tristen yet, you will. It did us some good to hang around our home base for a while this winter. We really got to settle and get our breath as we will be needing it for 2009. We have another month or 2 before things kick back into high speed. With that in mind, we thought we would stick around the WV, MD and PA areas with a few exceptions and do some of our favorite old rooms . We miss the up close and personal stuff, so look for us to show up anywhere. We're going to have some fun this winter, so come join in if you get cabin fever.

Once again, thanks for raising the bar as friends and fans year after year. All this would not be possible without you and we deeply appreciate it!

DBB
Davisson Brothers Band

If we start rambling and running out of words please understand. We last spoke back at the end of the summer and since then, things have really taken off. After Delfest last summer, the Del McCoury Band's management (Rainmaker Management, Nashville ,TN) called us up and asked if we would be interested in working together. After a couple of weeks talking to them, we thought it would be a great combination. So, needless to say, we have started working together and things are really working. They are a great bunch of people and we look forward to a long relationship.

To start things off in the fall, they decided to keep our song "Big City Hillbilly" playing at Mylan Stadium during the WVU Mountaineer games and we have just recently learned they added it to the basketball games at the coliseum ( go mountaineers !). With that happening, we knew we had to spend some time playing around the Morgantown area and decided to do some out of the ordinary DBB shows. We recently did a 3-day run through the North Central WV area with a fellow named Chris Janson and his band from Nashville and had 3 straight sold-out nights. If you guys missed this combo, don't miss it again. Janson has raw energy and is one of the last of a dieing breed of country/rockers with an ass-kicking band behind him. We also had Jesco White, the Dancing Outlaw, booked for 2 nights of that run but he only made it to the first one at the 123 in Mo-Town, WV. What a show he put on there and in the green room. Jesco had some health issues on the following day and was not able to make it to the Clarksburg, WV show. We apologize on Jesco's behalf for any of you that were inconvienced by it. Jesco cancelled his whole tour after that night, but hopes to get back up this way for a make-up show.

We have been touring lots and lots and have been spending bunches of time in Nashville. We are finally proud to say that our recording is finished and we hope that you guys still have a little bit of wait left in you. For those of you that don't know anything about Nashville, we will fill you in. In Nashville, things take time when you do it the right way. They have a very complex set of steps they go through to get a finished product requiring about a baseball teams worth of people to pull it off. Our biggest hold up was waiting on the availability of high profile folks that are the best at what they do and we did not want to settle for anything less. We hope you will be pleased with our work and we should have copies at select shows soon and then in stores everywhere. We have hopes of getting this one out then getting started on another one immediately.

Back to the present time: we just got in from a crazy week in Nashville. We landed back in WV a little sloppy this trip. After getting there on Sunday and doing a 90 minute show after driving 10 hours, we decided to take a little time off for fun. We are really good at this when we get the chance. But, not before hanging with Dan Evans from the "Biggest Loser" show. He and some of his tour mates were in town and really liked our show, so they thought they would stay and BS for a few.

We haven't had a real break like this in nearly a year. We started with making a trip to downtown on Monday and getting with Chris janson where he and Donnie had had plans of staying in for the night and getting a fresh start at 5am for a planned hunting trip they had planned with singer/writer Cole Deggs. Well, we pull up and Janson comes running and jumps in the bus and says lets hit the town for a while which we had in mind after dumping Donnie out. We start the night off at Paridise Trailer Park, It's a little honky tonk on the broadway strip, from there it was Tooties ,Layla's , The Stage etc.... think we hit them all. But anyway, Janson got up and played a couple times and run us in and out of every back door on the street. We then had Chip get the vehicle and get us the hell out of there. So it was back to CJ's downtown house where we dumped he and Donnie out around 1am with tree stands, bow's etc... (right in the middle of nashville......pretty red!) but they made it in the woods by daylight. After the rest of us got to sleep in a little the next day, we had to go visit Rainmaker's office on Music Row where we got a quick tour and went over some business with Chris Harris and his awesome secretary Emily. We really liked the new office and all their about .

After that, we got a call from Donnie and CJ telling us they were back from hunting and just woke up from a nap and were starving . We went and picked those guys up for what was supposed to be a mellow night . We started on the east side of town at a really good mexican restaurant then once again ended up back at the honky tonks on music row where we did the same routine but ended up losing some of the crew. While some of us were in the bar, Aaron decided to take off with Misa the Bear, Misa is the bassist from Chris J's band. So, we get a call from Rayland (another one of the Janson crew) telling us Aaron's location and decided to go find him. When we got to the "Hotel Villa," he was with Misa and the KingBilly band. The KingBilly guys are on GAC's new reality show "KingBilly." Check them out; they are a pretty hot new group. After getting everyone loaded up, we decided to hit the wafflehouse and call it a night. We got back to the room and got a few hours before hopping in the bus yesterday and making the long haul back. So once again we are always finding something new to get into in Nashville. Stay tuned in for lots of new dates coming and lots of new bands we'll be running with.

Thanks for the continued support,
DBB
Davisson Brothers Band

We have had quite the time since we shouted out last .... the end of July was just insane with all the Mountainfest biker oriented events going on in good ole Morgantown,WV ... huge crowds! Great staff putting things on up that way. We played 5 different shows during the festival. From there we went on into the Nutterfort( Clarksburg,WV) area for a suprisingly large turnout for one of our few shows at home ... What a feeling to see a couple thousand hometown folks come out to support what we do. The week after was a little interesting also ... we got an invite to play for the Southern Governors in Lewisburg, WV... we ended up in the Greenbrier doing a hot little gig. From the looks of things, when we got there it looked like it would be an early night but it was the exact opposite. The party was rockin ... hell we even turned it up a couple notches . A good time was had by all... (Especially the New Orleans and Alabama guys).

Well from there we headed up into Pa for a day or so (We played about 11 out of 14 days over that week). We then found ourselves with the Covington twins ( Bucky and Rocky) at MountainLakes amphitheatre in beautiful Flatwoods, WV. Those guys are a good group of folks .... we had a really good show.
That was just the start of our crazy week .. we ended up doing a couple fairs ... we went way up a holler to one, Clay district fair . There wasn't anything for about 15 miles until we pulled in the fairgrounds. It was a cool little event ... makes you glad to see there are still strong communities functioning without cell phone service and getting by just fine. Then it was the next day that got interesting .. we had a noon sound check in Charleston ,WV at Wolfstock( the other end of the state) We got there right on time needless to say. It went smooth , we went on about 1:30 and got off around 2:15 to get the hell out of the Lost Trailers way ... (them boys from Georgia can get it.) I think they tour as much as we do if not more but they are a really good bunch of guys . From there it was a couple of business phone calls to catch up on including one from friend, Chris Janson from Nashville, confirming the 3 day run we're doing together over Halloween weekend . If you haven't heard of Chris, check him out on his myspace , you might of caught him on the Rowdy Friends Tour this summer with Hank Jr. and Skynyrd. But any way after that we had to pull out from that show (missing John Anderson's set) in a hurry to get to the second show of the day at the Empty Glass. We had some sound issues early in the show but recovered as fast as possible ... hope it was alright for those of you that were there. We drug in early on Sunday morning for a well needed day off but just one then back to the grind... but here we are now ....we will be heading out this week on Wednesday and Thursday to shoot an ATV show for the Outdoor channel ( We'll be posting the air dates soon) from there we pay a visit this weekend to Oakland, Md , Washington, Pa then grab a plane out to Colorado for a show and a couple radio station visits and performances and hopefully we will find a trout stream one day before heading back.

You all take care of each other and stay tuned in for some updates. Thanks for the continued support.
Davisson Brothers Band

As road guys by nature, we think this summer has been the craziest schedule yet. We hope all you folks in the Eastern Region are enjoying the music we're bringing to you up and down the road because we're sure enjoying it! We have had a great run the last couple of weeks. We've got to play lots of new venues and shake lots of new hands. We finally got to do a show with and actually had the time to stick around and listen to the Clarks. We have been missing each other at festivals for years now and have never got to meet and hang with those guys. It was cool and even cooler how it went down. Even though they wouldn't call themselves country, they had to get a little country the other night. It had rained in the mountain state for pretty much a month on and off prior to Thursday night's outdoor show. Most of us know what happens when you take heavy vehicles to the bottom of a wet hayfield. It was fine getting down the hill. When the show was over, we found our vehicle and trailer side by side the Clarks' vehicle and trailer sunk in the mud on the side of a hill. It took a piece of heavy equipment to get our Sprinter out. It went a little smoother than it looked. Right after that, we had to take matters in our own hands to get the Clarks out. We unhooked the Clarks' trailer and got behind their van and preceded to push and then took a mud bath. That's what happens when you get behind the wheels of a vehicle stuck in the mud and a drummer with the pedal to the floor. We all got out alright and got a good little story out of it. The moral of the story is the Clarks are a good bunch of guys that don't mind getting a little dirty in WV. Well, we're going to have to call it a night for now. Take care of each other and we'll be yelling back soon! We look forward to the rest of the summer. Thanks always for your support.

DBB
Davisson Brothers Band

We started the season last week at the Strawberry Fest for a packed out town on the court house plaza in downtown Buckhannon,WV. We were caught off guard after being in the clubs all winter. It makes for a nice change in pace to get back outside. We then headed on into Chester for a casino show then on up to a radio station visit at the Wolf in Cumberland, MD with Pat Sullivan and Brian Moe. These guys have fun on the air - that's for sure. We hung around there for a while but we had to get out and get ready for the next day for what just might have been the nicest festival we have ever been to, the 1st Annual Delfest. They had us kicking things off Friday ... that's right the first band at the first ever Delfest (Del Mccoury festival). We were a little nervous due to the prestigious line up, but things went well. We got the first set in then we ran into Ronnie Mccoury (Del's son) out by the bus and he asked if we would do a workshop stage with him later that day. We were honored by the invite and agreed to the set . We had a blast trying to keep up with Ronnie! We hung for a little while after that to visit with our good friends Larry and Jenny Keel and watch some of the Mccoury's set. The weather was so nice we hated to leave but had to get for a show in Pittsburgh the next day. We did a show for the Mcgrogan's crew at a park. It was a neat party and they had some fine barbecue. We headed south from there to another party in WV where we got off the hook for a 2008 graduation party. The two shows made for a long day. The next day, we headed back to Delfest to do another slot at the festival. It was crazy when we got there , you could here Bela Flecks banjo cranking as we pulled in. Soon after we pulled in, Del was taking the stage ... if you have never seen Del Mccoury take the stage it is something you have to see. We watched some of his set at stage side along with Dierks Bently and some of Del's folks. Dierks then went on for a good acoustic set to close the show. Then, the party headed to the late night stage where we would do our 3rd set of the festival and it was a doosie! We got through the first 1/2 hour then looked over and the Mccoury family and several other folks had walked in on us . Ronnie then jumped up for a jam that ended up being 2 or 3 songs. We left the stage for a couple while the Lee boys from Miami took over. They invited us back to set in with them and a crazy fiddler named Nicki from the Steep Canyon Rangers. Then we cleared the stage again for Del to come back on for what would be the final set change of the festival. Then his people came and asked us if we would get up and do the closing song, "Will the Circle be Unbroken", with the Del Mccoury Band . What an honor it was - Del even let Donnie sing a verse. It was a feeling we will never forget, to be on stage in between Del and his boys. Sorry for those of you that missed it. In a round about way we played the first note of the festival and the last. We also would like to let everyone know that our single is taking off throughout the eastern radio stations and on Sirius satellite right now. We encourage you to blow up the radio request lines! Please help DBB out by calling in or sending e-mails to the DJ's. We will be doing a couple regional shows this week in Pittsbugh and at Sunshine Daydreams Campground. Then, we head back to Nashville for the rest of next week for a studio session and a few visits downtown for the CMA festival week. Hope to see you all soon and remember we need your help to get "Big City Hillbilly" playing in the new areas. If you have a station that you would like to hear "Big City Hillbilly" playing on let us know at nashvillehillbilly@davissonbrothersband.com

DBB
Davisson Brothers Band

Anyway, we thought we would fill everyone in on what's been happening to the DBB in the last week or so. After a brutal week of fighting the snow getting to the ski resorts and club shows, we decided to hit Nashville. We started with doing a 16 hour drive through the middle of the night to make a sound check on Broadway at 1pm (that's always a fun way to start a run). We did a 2 hour showcase show for some of our business crew and a few radio folks at this neat little place called Laylas Bluegrass Inn. We also got to hang out with old friends Dave and Annie Kirkpatrick (Annie Neely) there. We then thought we might actually get some rest for the night. As we got to the hotel, the phone rang and it was our new booking agent Kevin Neal inviting us down to hang at the Cadillac Ranch with a band called the Roadhammers . The Roadhammers know how to rip it up. We were there for the whole show doing our off stage thing hanging with Big John, Gunner and John Anthony from WV radio. We called it a night about midnight due to a noon gig back on Broadway.

11 am comes around fast in Nash-Vegas, but we made it. The club (The Wheel) was a nice place with a really cool owner with a really cool southern name (Robert Lee). The Wheel was fast and easy we then went across the road with our producer Doug Grau and had some southern barbucue. We had some time to kill before another 5pm sound check at the Fiddle and Steel Guitar bar. We went and found a parking lot for and hour of R&R. We then found ourselves unloading in the world famous Printers Alley for our last and final night in Nashville. The show went smooth with the help of a bunch of great people who work there . Kevin Neal invited us out again to a Jason Aldean and Broken Bow Records party at the Renaissance Hotel. We hung a little and had some drinks ... it was a hard party to leave, but we decided to work our way back to the room since our 9am leaving time would come early. We made it back to West by God on Thursday evening.
Thanks to everyone for all of your continued support!
Davisson Brothers Band

We are overwhelmed with the response we are getting from our fans. It means a lot to us to hear our song being requested. We have worked for our entire adult/teenage lives to get to this point.

What is the most important thing your fans and listening audience can do to help?

Getting our music "pushed out" is our biggest struggle. We are encouraging our friends to send out emails and myspace bulletins to all of their friends to let them know to request our single, "Big City Hillbilly" and about its availability on itunes. With the strong support we get from our fans, we hope not to have a problem keeping up in cyber world.
Davisson Brothers Band

We can't thank all of you enough for the support. On Monday,Jan 21st, we launched our new single,"Big City Hillbilly," and started a radio tour throughout WV and touching into Kentucky once. The best thing about the last couple of weeks is getting to hear from all you fans calling in to the
stations. For some of you outside the area, we are working our way to you. On top of all the radio shows, the band has been keeping a heavy performance schedule. We also just returned from a recording rehearsal in Nashville yesterday. Nashville is usually not as unpredictable as it was this trip. On Tuesday night we found ourselves held up in a laundry room at the hotel ducking a tornado that passed through the area. We managed to get through it with a little hail damage to our windsheid. Some of the folks down there weren't so lucky. We are home now and getting ready to hit the interstate again for the next week. We will bring some guest musicians along with us. For those of you wondering where you can buy the single, you can keep checking itunes.com and walmart.com. It should be up anyday. Trying to keep up has been a task this year with traveling to the studio and doing shows, but we will make it through.

So far this month we have been pretty busy. This past week we made our first appearance on Mountain Stage. Mountain Stage is a radio show that is broadcast around the world on the Public Radio Stations. We shared the stage with the great Larry Keel and Natural Bridge, Catherine Russel, Rose Cousins from Canada, and the hot country group Little Big Town. The show was taped live and will be broadcast in the spring. Click Here to read a review from the Charleston Gazette. This month we are staying close to home for the most part so come catch us if you haven't been out in a while.

Here's a reminder that we will be at Snowshoe Mountain Resort for New Years Eve. We're pretty sure all that's left now is recording Aaron's drums and probably some harmony vocals to top off all the hours we've spent in the studio. Then the songs go off to get mixed, mastered, then printed to be sold to you, the best fans a band could ever have. We also want to say THANK YOU for being so patient with us during the recording process. We are very excited for the upcoming release of our first single "Big City Hillbilly" which is scheduled to be released in our region the week after Thanksgiving. There will be about thirty stations, in and around WV, OH, PA, and MD just to name a few, that will be playing Big City Hillbilly" for you. We are going to compile a list of stations to be listed here and on the website so you can find one in your area to call in and request "Big City Hillbilly."

After recording this past week we headed out on the road Thursday to Cannonsburg, PA for a show at McGrogans Tap Room. Friday took us to Lake Milton, OH for an awesome show at the Sail Inn. On Saturday we ended out the week at Sunshine Daydream. That's exactly what happened last week, October 31, 2007. A huge group of fans crammed in to the small hot spot for one of the best shows of the year. On Thursday the first of November we rocked the doors off of McCgrogans Tap Room in Cannonsburg,PA. On Friday November 2 we finally made our way back to J.C. Maxeys in Clarksburg, WV for an awesome show. If it hadn't been for the bar needing to close up i think we could have jammed all night. Saturday October 3 we attended a private party for a show in Cameron, WV.

That's the latest so far, stay in touch. We'll see you at the show!!!
DBB
Davisson Brothers Band

As usual we rocked the city folks with our unique hillbilly, foot stompin' sound. We want to thank the Rodeo Bar for having us up for the show, we can't wait to go back and do it again. It was great to see some friends from home make the trip and it was especially great to see some old friends, that have moved to the Big City from good ole' West By God, to come out and show their support and spread the word. After driving all night we wound up back home safe and sound for a private show in Morgantown, WV on Friday and one in Logan County on Saturday. Sunday we headed up north again to 7 Springs Resort for the last weekend of Autumn Fest. With Monday off we tried to play catch up with sleep and Tuesday we were right back to 7 Springs for another private show.

On Friday October 26 we rocked Morgantown, WV again this time at Rhythm and Brews Bar and Grill. What a night, the crowd was definitely there for a show. Everyone crowded the dance floor and never left. We did, however, get back into the swing of things on Friday with a show at Tri-State Gaming Resort in Charleston, WV. This was our first time playing there and we had a great time. The hospitality was remarkable and we were glad to see some old friends that we haven't seen in a long time. On Saturday we put on a second show at Tri-State gaming and to our surprise some friends came down from the Clarksburg area to jam with us. On Sunday we traveled to the other end of the state for a show at Mountaineer Gaming Resort in Chester, WV. It was great seeing all of our fans there and making some new ones too. This week has been busy too we have traveled all the way back to Nashville so Donnie could finish his vocal tracks for the album putting us a little closer to being finished. We are hoping to have the album done before the first of the year so everyone can start the New Year off with a bang, and rock out to the DBB for the entire year. We're keeping our fingers crossed!!!

Come out and see us!!! We miss you!!!
Be safe DBB
Davisson Brothers Band
