{A Little Something Nice}

Dawn Schaffer — Sat, 16 Oct 2010 21:40:22 +0000

Just wanted to pop in with an extra little tease of Michelle+Devon’s wedding. Hopefully it will ease Michelle’s nerves. I know she’s super anxious to get them back! Almost done, girly!

Here it is! Part two of Betsy+Jordan’s ePics. Tease tease tease! Also, have I mentioned how much I love every moment I spend on Purdue’s campus?! {Minor plug: SERIOUSLY! If you want to do a session at Purdue with me, hit me up!}

This is part one of two {the second happens Tuesday at my alma mater!} of Betsy+Jordan’s engagement session. And it’s just a small tease. But don’t you LUUUURVE it?! Ugh, I die. I love so much! {Side note: Who ordered the 83 degree weather a week and a half into October?! Not cool, Indiana!}

Betsy+Jordan – I have never laughed so hard at a shoot. Pretty sure. I had a great time today!

Giggles! {I love all the giggle photos we got today! LOOOVE! So genuine, sweet, and full of love!}

I thought this was going to be a random grab that didn’t turn out. But, oh, did it ever turn out! This may be one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken. Imperfectly perfect? Yes? YES!

Pretty please order this in a canvas!!! {P.S. I told you it was freakin’ awesome!}

People in love. Blue skies. With fluffy clouds! Autumn leaves. This is why I love photography. Absolutely!

Feets! {And look at that sass, Amanda! I told you that you had it in you!}

And a couple of ‘making faces at each other’ photos. I told them I had caught them. And I love them. SO CUTE!

Amanda+Mike,
I am so glad you won the contest!!! I had so much fun with both of you. Even if I’m not the person you choose to photograph your wedding, I wish you the best day/life/marriage/etc. EVER! You totally are amazing and I absolutely adore both you!
xo,
Dawn

Libby+Tim,
I had a ton of fun at your engagement shoot. Thanks for being so willing to do whatever I wanted. Not every couple is that easy to work with. I adore both of you and I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. for your wedding next year!!!

I’ve got two engagement sessions and, now, a wedding, that I’m editing for your pleasure. Yesterday’s wedding…O.M.G. And since I was already picking/editing some teasers and because Ashley asked so nicely, here you go…the gorg couple to ogle until the full wedding gets done. (And there are 1700!!! photos to go through {and very few that are going to have to be thrown out.})

{Guidette in the making? Maybe!}

Dawn Schaffer — Thu, 23 Sep 2010 03:03:26 +0000

No. I’m not. But I AM in Jersey this week! Not as exciting as it may seem, since I’m spending three exhausting 12 hour days in Panera cafe’s doing paperwork with associates. I do kinda love Jersey though. I mean, seriously, Jersey Shore is HILARIOUS and here are people really truly like that here. And this state is wacky. Nothing is how it is everywhere else. You can’t turn left. Ever. You turn right in order to turn left (wtf is a u-turn lane?! SO WEIRD!). Regardless…this isn’t really a post about Jersey, but how could I not mention it?! Tomorrow is the last day and I will be spending a third evening with my wonderful Mikey, so maybe I will actually acquire some Jersey photos for you!

For now I have a photo that I took with my camera on my cell. Random, I know. But I LOOOVE it. And I used FxCamera (an Android app) to take it, so it’s Polaroid-ized! FUN!

And this is EXACTLY why autumn in Indiana is A.MAZ.ING!

{Awesome Sauce!}

Dawn Schaffer — Mon, 20 Sep 2010 00:02:45 +0000

While shooting an eSession on Saturday I shot this:

Awesome sauce, yes?!

And then I zoomed it in:

OMG!!!!! I am SOOOO happy with this.

Amanda+Mike won The First Ever Dawn Schaffer Photography Contest! Yay, Amanda+Mike! Today we met up to do their fab engagement shoot. I had a ton of fun, and I hope they did, too. Here’s a small tease. You know I can never pick just one.

Did you know I’m hilarious?! Ask any of my clients. They’ll probably agree. And to make you comfortable, I won’t hesitate to tell a bad joke…{Lady Gaga, anyone? I know TWO!}
