In 2017 Dawson Breed Music joined forces with Chaos & Bedlam Management to form a brand new management company called Breed & Bedlam Music. Dawson Breed Music and Chaos & Bedlam Management will still continue, but the two companies have formed a management umbrella that combines experience from live, PR, management and label. Their first signing is a super talented young rock band called Keid. Keid are four lads, Max Palmer, Harry Fowler, Sean Burton and Pete Woodin,  who grew up together in Hertfordshire and write their own blistering rock songs which we will be releasing later in the year, but you can read more about Keid on the roster page.

]]> Its been an action packed 2015  here at Dawson Breed Music HQ with some very exciting events, and some not so exciting (like the website being down). We had Common Tongues playing various festivals including The Great Escape, and released their single New Moon. Rachael Sage returned for another summer of festivals, European gigs and a tour support with the legendary Judy Collins. Canadian artiste Jill Barber came over for a couple of special UK shows as part of her European tour, and the latest news that Elle Exxe will be playing The Great Escape 2016 which we’re all very excited about. We also have a new addition to our roster of Leeds indie pop band Apollo Junction, so 2016 is looking very exciting already!

]]> As we approach the end of the year here at DBM HQ we find ourselves asking the question, where did the year go? We’ve had showcase festivals like The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City . Various summer festivals including Rachael Sage at Cornbury and Common Tongues at 2000Trees. A showcase summer party for A3 , a truly lovely visit to the fabulous Reeperbahn Festival where Common Tongues played a set in a bunker in Hamburg and two German tours. We’ve been debating discovering new talent on a panel at the LIVE UK Summit  listening to very informative panels at AIMs Indie-Con and we have a judging panel For The Big Music Project on tour in Bournemouth tomorrow, it’s at the BIC and its free so come on down!

Other news, Common Tongues have been recording with LoveMusic’s producer of the year, Gavin Monaghan (Editors/The Twang/Scott Matthews/Robert Plant) through the desk The Kinks smashed and kicked ‘You really got me’ out of! You can hear the band showcase their new songs in London at the Barfly January 29th 2015  http://mamacolive.com/thebarfly/listings/upcoming-events/11491/knights-model-society-depot-day/

Rachael Sage is back in the UK and Ireland February/March next year with Judy Collins promoting the track ‘Helpless’ which is a duet with Judy Collins. Rachael is also touring with Aled Jones through March.

]]> In the last three weeks we’ve had Liverpool Sound City, Music Week Awards, Great Escape, and the Ivor Novello Awards with Common Tongues playing at fabulous venue Zanzibar for Liverpool Sound CIty on the same bill as Rae Morris, We Were Evergreen, Syd Arthur & Sunshine Underground. As always, LSC had some great panels with a couple of excellent sync panels. Networking with other delegates is always highly important at conferences and LSC is a great facilitator of networking. LSC always programmes great grass-roots music, as well as headliners, so if you’re interested in seeking out emerging bands then LSC is for you, not only that, Liverpool is a fantastically friendly city and easy to navigate.

The Music Week awards was a great event this year with John Kennedy from XFM winning best radio show and Alex Hardee from Coda winning best agent award. Alex, although jet lagged, made a great acceptance speech saying he’d like to see more women coming through in influential positions in the industry.

The Great Escape in Brighton town saw Common Tongues play and curate the programme for two Alternative Escape  shows which were heavily attended and included the fabulous Cadbury Sisters. A brilliant panel on misogyny in pop music hosted by John Robb where all the panelists had some really interesting stories and views to share.

The fabulous Nile Rodgers was awarded at The Ivors by PRS For Music for Special International Award.
