I'm only afraid that i have to put some restrictions on contents, especially when it come to sensitive cases like porn sites or anything of the kind.

Silvanas VS Page File

Ok.. hi guys! it's been a while since I last updated my blog page. So there are a lot of things to say here but i'm going to cut this short in order to expand the tips and tricks section for this blog.

First thing first, I'm informing you guys that i'll be revamping the total blog page, I will give more space and time for the tips and tricks section for you guys so better live some comments for me ;)

Ok I'm not going to talk about eveything that have happened in my life for the past few days and i'll just be focusing on some that have brought up a real change in me.

Silvanas
how many of you guys know silvanas? OK for those that don't know silvanas, they are like super cool version of the "Merenge" and they come on two flavors, butter coated or chocolate coated it's your call but for me, man those silvanas are really great. Ok below is a picture of a silvana that is butter coated (I love the butter coater version ;) yum yum) with a couple of brownies(Nell loves the brownies, while i just want the first on the second row).

Tips and Tricks

I was thinking, how about I teach you guys how to build a hackintosh? Anyone here who loves OS X? Leopard or Snow Leopard?
Does anyone here wants to know how they can make their own PC a hackintosh? if you want that topic, come on, I atleast need five people making a comment and I'll teach you the fastest and easiest way to make a macintosh out of your PC ;)

Enough with the teasers and I'll teach you guys some new tricks.

Ok does anyone here suffer from low RAM memory? Ok I'll teach you guys some tricks that can increase your RAM so that you can multi-task bettter on your computer. First thing first do you know the thing called Page File? Page File are physical hard disk space that acts as virtual RAM for you PC.
So enough with the crap talk and let's get into business.

1. First right click on my computer and select properties
2. Then go to the advance settings(advance settings is a tab in Windows XP, in Windows Vista and 7 it is located at the bottom of the list in the upper left part of the opened window).
3. Then click on the settings button in the performance set.
4. Go to the advance tab.
5. You will see a set there called Virtual memory and you should click on the button "Change".
6. Now you will see this image below

You might be thinking right now, WTF is that! ok no need to go balistics, i'll explain this one in a short while. This is the currently used hard disk space for my system paging file. I have set mine to 3016(it's equal to 3GB of Paging file) and to show you where i'm coming from, I currently have 2GB RAM on my system, the advisable amount of paging file to be put on my system is my current RAM multiplied by 1.5 so giving me the result of 3GB. so set the range on your advisable paging file size and hit set, then hit "ok" your way out.

By the way you have to restart first your system in order for this to take effect. So good luck, and if this have help you in some point. Please feel free to leave a comment, Thank you.

A Bridge Day

Guess what, this that is another bridge from yesterday, yep you read it right, a bridge from yesterday, this is what I call those days that I simply continue to be awake from the day before until the next day morning (typically like from 11:00 PM yesterday to 8:00 AM the next day), ok then let’s just say that I did not sleep that night to make it simple. So this blog is for November 28, 2009.

Ok in my last blog I have already added the Tips and Tricks (did you like it guys? Yay! Leave something for me in the comment if you do.) and I was about to go to sleep back then but unfortunately I couldn’t that’s why a called it a bridge day.

Woke up (I decide to start my day at 6:00 AM), though I didn’t really, just prefer the term woke up when I receive a call from Nell, we had chatted for I think 2 hours or so until it was time for her to go to her work. She even reminded me that I had to bring her windows 7 CD and windows XP CD for a client of hers (we got a trick to keep it genuine, if you want to learn it leave me a comment and I will feature it on my next post.).

Rest of the day, I spent it sleeping I think I had just woke (really start my day) at around 4:00 PM, and what was the first thing in my mind. Yeah a just finished downloading Assassins Creed and I am very eager to play it! (Although I had played the PSP version, Bloodlines), man it was really a good game and Altair is really good, but to tell you guys, I still want an Xbox since the graphics processing would be better there or if I really want to play it at maximum specs I think I still have to wait for my super PC since I think my laptop is not enough to do those monster 3D rendering, the game was really cool, great graphics, great game play, a lot of manoeuvres that are way to cool( Yep! Altair is one heck of an assassin). Though I was really having some problems with the keys (it takes time for me to be familiar with the control setup but its fine, I can bear with it). Ok enough with the game talk if you want to know more about Assassins Creed be sure to check the games for yourself, I promised you guys, it would be worth your while and if you ever happen to lived near me in Cavite City I might be even willing to give you the PC copy for free(just leave me a comment an you can have your copy, although you should still wait since it’s approximately 6.58 GB, I only have 4.78 GB DVD’s if you leave me a comment and you want it just wait till I get a better DVD). But please support the game by buying an original CD.

I was so in to the game when I suddenly receive a phone call from Nell confirming that we have a customer service to attend to later that evening and reminding me of the two CD’s again and oh, she added that I should bring a copy of the ever popular kid’s (and adults) favourite past time (Ok! it’s a game), Game House, did you ever try paling a game house game? I kinda sound redundant in there but did you? I can tell you guys it’s a good past time (Ok! It’s a game), some of the games that I liked in there were Inspector Parker (I really love logical games), Feeding Frenzy (ok, who doesn’t want this?), and Hamster Ball (who could resist those cute Hamster?), these are only a few to name hundred of games by game house but these three are definitely on the top of my list if I’m to play a Game House game.

So at 5:00 PM I started preparing to meet Nell I burned a copy of Game House game collection, Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS4 in a CD before I head out to take a bath. A couple of minutes later and there was I, back in front of my computer screen to be surprised that my burning session earlier did not became successful, seems like I have overloaded the DVD, and damn! The DVD is not readable anymore, ok I wasted a DVD, but that’s not the deal because I have checked the file size and it was only 2.18 GB for Photoshop and Dreamweaver, and it’s only 788 MB for Game House, if I total them up, I think I only have around 3 GB or so, but I’m seriously puzzled that it did not fit the on the DVD, so I ended up burning the Game House game collection in a separate DVD man it’s a lot of waste space since I only have a DVD-R (not the re-writable one). Ok after burning I was off to see Nell, but I was so stupid that I only remember to bring the Operating system when I was half way through our meeting place, ok the lame guy me just decided to come up with an excuse but it didn’t, so when we met up, we have no other choice but to head back to my house which is about an hour or so on a bus ride. So basically we started our service around 9:15 PM, which if I had never forgotten the CD’s would be around 7:00 PM, ok i wasted 2 hours, stupid.

Ok, we are off to Tanza, Cavite. We reached our client at around 9:15 PM, the guy was already waiting for us and he was very eager to have his laptop up (man, his laptop is a plus, I really like the brush/chrome finish made by ASUS on that laptop). Ok while working, the owner of the laptop and his brothers are also having a drinking session next to us, luckily they are really good people, but I was kinda amazed in the placed, even though it’s too far away from the town centre, the place is still a Wi-Fi hot spot, man I’m really envious, having Wi-Fi for free is a great plus in a place. So as we finished working on their laptop they drove us off back to the town centre and even gave us some money for our food (the original plan was for the owner to have a meal with us in a “tapsihan”, but we refused it since it’s too much of a burden to them, and they are really great people and we don’t want to abuse them).

As we get off at the town centre we found ourselves lucky enough to find a bus going to Cavite City at that very moment and we did not waste that chance for us for an easy ride. So we part at Salinas, Rosario bidding goodbye again to Nell and there I was off alone to Cavite City on my own again.

Ok, I will cut this one out here because it was already 00:00 am when I reached Cavite City and that story will go for my next blog so stay put guys and I’m also skipping the Tips and Tricks section for this entry since this one is already pretty long. 6 o'clock urgency

Ok so this blog is for yesterday again because it’s 1:32 am now, ok let’s see first again I said I would continue on my blog yesterday but I fell asleep after having a chat with the client, so I’m really sorry for that.

OK moving forward. Yes, yesterday was some kind of a non-productive day for me, i was almost asleep the whole day, I woke up at around 9:30 in the morning just to fell asleep again after looking into my monitor screen for a few minutes. Ok afternoon sessions, yes I know... I won’t forget to eat lunch anymore. Ok not that much of a change, but hey no matter what I’m still blogging everything.

My afternoon sessions start by visiting Facebook account, man do I really look like a high school student in my picture? (you can see it on the right side below the title of my blog page “day to day blogging”) there had been a few that said that it looks like an old photo of mine but hey it’s only three weeks old, i was really drained that day by having no sleep for three consecutive days(ok how long can you go on without a sleep, no cheating! Not even a nap... ok if you go for more than three straight days +5 in the comment). Ok people do my picture really looks like a high school picture?(leave your answer in the comment)

I have not done so much yesterday specially on the afternoon (ok I’m a lazy bum.. anyone there lazier than me?), but I really have to break a leg when I received an email from my client that he wants a meeting this evening after dinner around 9pm(crap! I’m not even prepared for anything yesterday). So that really kicked my lazy but off the couch but just an hour or so and I’, sleepy again, really sleepy, tell me guys how do you get rid of your laziness? (leave your answer at the comments) and there I go asleep again.

Waking up and seeing that the time is 4:30 pm I feel a tension building up inside me but guess what I got to leave the tension and work problem for later because now is the time for my favourite T.V. show (ok I don’t really watch television show, I only watch my favourite shows when I’m in the mood). Ok guys, can you guess what show am I watching? Ok three guesses? Oh you want a clue? Hmmm... let’s see, Ok he had a mechanical K-9 dog. Can you guess it? No cheating no searching in Google or advance reading. It’s Jimmy Nuetron, i really love the series and it’s even placed before a Sponge bob, and Ang the Last Air Bender, OK give it up for TV 5 they deserve a +5 in the comments.

Around 6:00 pm that i really felt the urgency that I need to start thinking an start doing some work. Ok coding, coding and coding, that’s what I had been doing till 8:00 pm when I call Nell to have my break and talk to her for a while. She told me some stories of her and she was really frantic about how her Korean customer breath stinks, she said to me that the customer where also there yesterday and the breathe of the customer really stinks. Ok I smell something fishy here does that guy knows how to brush teeth? Ok sorry for being a meanie.

So time goes and I really had to put down the phone for me to focus on preparing for my meeting with my client (ok we only do conference call on skype but I still need to prepare for my things). And there goes presentation time, I’m not going to go in details in this one since there is not much of a talk here but pure work and schedules. By the way for those who are wondering if what do I do for a living, I’m a freelance Php / Mysql Programmer and a Web Developer, so if you got questions there, feel free to ask and give me a +5 in the comment section.

Ok i’m cutting this here now and i’ll start giving those tips and tweaks, hey it’s already 2:24 am and i’m also sleepy but i guess i still need to do some designs before i go to bed, so without further ado i give you below the Tips and Tricks Segment .

Tips And Tricks:

OK ever wonder why USB flash drives are the main cause of virus, worms and other infections on your PC? I’ll answer this one first before giving you a trick here. This is basically because they exposes the auto run capabilities of flash drives, so basically you just have to switch them off. Now how do you do that?

For Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows Vista

1. Go to start menu, then type there gpedit.msc

2. Go to computer administration, then expand administrative templates, expand windows components then find and click on autoplay policies.

3. Double click on turn off autoplay, and switch it to enabled, then select all drives and there you have it.

For Windows XP

1. Go to start menu and click run.

2. Type there gpedit.msc

3. Go to computer configurations, expand administrative templates, and then click on systems.

4. Double cick on turn off autoplay and switch it to enabled, then select all drives, and there you have it.

For operating systems that don’t have Gpedit.msc

1. Go to start menu and click run.

2. Type in regedit

3. Locate the following entry in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\NoDriveTypeAutorun

4. Right-click NoDriveTypeAutoRun, and then click modify.

5. In the Value data box, type 0xFF to disable all types of drives.

6. Click ok and restart your computer.

So this entry is really for yesterday, the whole day yesterday, I’m really sorry guys I said that I would continue that one earlier but I fell asleep yesterday morning and things kind a get busy in the afternoon. Ok, so continuing from where I take off literally this is the continuation of that day it’s officially Friday, November 27, 2009 00:19 am, yep you read it right, looks like this is going to be another long night for me again, ok let me rephrase myself in that one, this is going to be a long day again since this is the beginning of a new day.
So before I proceed with the new day let’s first try to get a hold of the things that have happened yesterday.

Starting with the morning of yesterday, what have I done the whole morning? Ok great I fell asleep as I was calling Nell and woke up around 11:30 am or 12:00 pm just to drink some cow milk and then sleep again, what a life, having the whole morning just for sleeping.

And there I go again dozing some sleep in the afternoon; ok I was thinking would video blog be more interesting? Hey I know someone doing video blog and he is doing great, keeping a live journal of his everyday life, which is really something. Ok switching to video blog is not that easy first is the camera. I gave a look for the handy cam in the afternoon and my first choice was Samsung’s HD handy cam. So I type in the keywords in my browsers address bar (I had set it up to automatically to search in Google), and with luck Samsung Philippines Page pop up at my screen. The site look good and well designed, a couple of still image camera pops up and man they really look good. I was just disappointed that there isn’t any handy video camera in their website, it was like, hey! Where the hell are your camcorders!

So comes my second choice, Sony handy camcorders .I can already see myself doing a video blog for the first time. Then there I go searching for my very own video cam. There are a lot of options to choose from but usually I would prefer those that capture motion images in HD, one problem, ok it was not that cheap, and to tell you guys, it’s really expensive and I think I can’t spend that much money for a camcorder. To cut the story short video blogging has to wait.

Man, I would really like to do video blogs. But what can I do, I can’t afford to spend that much for a video camcorder, ok enough with the frustrations. By the way some of my old college colleagues also ask me to blog about something useful, something about software and windows tweaking, are you in to this guys? Leave your answer at the comment section; I’ll give you guys a handful of useful tweaks on windows XP and windows 7(let’s forget about windows vista since it’s really a crap and an annoying piece of operating system). OK so if you want those tweaks and latest software updates just say it at the comment and I’ll add them next time.

So going back to my day time seems to fly as I do my codes and there it is, it’s already 8:00 I should give Nell a call right now she is probably on her way home. Ok chat, chat and chat, she said earlier that we are supposed to have a home service yesterday focusing on a wi-fi router setup, ok guys I know this is a pretty basic stuff but do you want me to feature this one? If yes leave it at the comment if no tell me what you want in the comment section. Ok so my chat with Nell go for about an hour or so, and e are really having problems with our wireless carriers provider, it’s really a crap, seems like the traffic is always congested every night, it’s bad, really bad but we have to bear with it. Oh by the way guys have you notice something? Have you? Nah, no cheating tell me at the comment if you notice it. No advance reading! Ok my chat with Nell really ends up in a disaster, the local wireless providers are not really giving their customer what they deserve, are you with me in this guys? They should be giving us more for what we are paying to them.

Ok have you notice what’s missing? If you guess that it’s food then you are right, I forgot to eat lunch and dinner. Ok who the hell in earth forgets to eat lunch and dinner? Ok guys give me a +5 in the comments for forgetting to eat lunch and dinner. Well it’s just because that i really hate shrimp paste (it had been mix in our dishes and I would rather starve than eat those stuff... anyone there with me who really hate shrimp paste?). My luck is still not running out because when i was about to get back in front of my computer screen my mom told me that there were a chicken dish in the table for me, see I’m really lucky.

Where do i start my day?

Ok, my day start early around 00:01 am? And where the hell am i to start my day? Well I’m out at General Trias, Malabon Philippines, what a place to start my day. I was there walking with Nell (my girlfriend) we just finished our home service for a client who requested software’s installation for her PC. Hey it took me about 3 hours to finish the whole pack. I think it’s getting kind of boring installing those software so the three of us (me, Nell and the client) chat about computer knowledge, man it was good doing those job, meeting people, sharing knowledge that i had acquired in my lifetime.

Ok, it started everything when Nell got her job as a Sales Person in a computer store in SM, it’s really a good job, she said “Natututunan ko yung mga bagong technology dahil kame lage ang unang nakakaalam pag may bago.” And i think other than that what’s really good on her job is the customer servicing she really earns alot from servicing (ok if she hits 12 customer servicing in a month that is already way over her salary, crap! I’m envious),it’s really a good job. Ok back to the topic, so there we are walking in the streets of General Trias, Malabon around 00:01 morning of November 26, 2009, crap! I was supposed to have a meeting at around 11 pm yesterday, but that is not the problem, damn! All of the public utility jeepney’s are gone, how the hell do we get off from here to Tejero. Ok so we decided to push our lack with the oldest form of transportation, walking. About fifteen minutes of walking got me really tired, man I’m out of exercise, what do you expect from a guy who do all his work sitting in a couch the whole day for the last four months, Ok we need to find a trike, damn lucky enough a few blocks more there are a couple of trike waiting for us (yippee!) and got off to Tejero. Ok the next problem how do we get to Salinas, Rosario damn my feet are starting to hurt those time but we need to keep on waiting till some passenger bus or jeepney comes by, ok ten minutes more and there comes a jeepney and there goes another ten minutes with Nell until we part at Salinas, Rosario, I’m really sad because I don’t get to see her that often since I’m also busy with my work, but we have to bear for our situations right now(see you again soon Nell).

So I bid goodbye to Nell at Salinas, Rosario and there I’m on my own again wondering how would I get to Cavite City, another problem arise I felt that I really need to pee, being in Salinas, Rosario I felt save because there is a public restroom there but guess what, man I’m really out of luck today the restrooms are all closed, ok why does it have to happen this day?

As I walk down the road to wait for a passenger bus there was these two guys that were looking at me, they give me a chill down my spine. Luckily before I bump into them a passenger bus came by and there I get off to Noveleta (i’m going to Cavite but the chances of seeing a bus going to Cavite City in this time of the day are so low and the two guys earlier really gives me the creep). I get off at Noveleta and there I stood with a crowd of passenger waiting for a bus going to Cavite, ok five minutes, ten, twenty... damn are there still any bus out there? So with about half an hour and a bus came all the people standing there started to mob the bus entrance(ok people don’t be stupid we are all going to have our seat). Fifteen minutes of travel and I’m back at my home town, hmmm.. i love the cool breeze of the sea as we enter the police check point in the gates of Cavite city. And oh, there’s a message from Nell on my cell phone saying that I should text or call her when I get home (mush.. mush... how sweet of her).

Getting off the bus in front of the Cavite City public market I started to dial Nell’s number to inform her that I’m just a few blocks away from my home, we bid each other good night as I reach the front gate of our home. Ok I’m hungry... what do we have in the fridge? Ok two “longganisa” and an egg(uncooked). Officially 01:00 am, November 26, 2009 and I’m cooking my dinner? That does sound strange? I think it sound strange, cooking and having dinner 1 o’clock in the morning, got to get used to it in order to survive this job of mine. Ok a few minutes later and I’m back in front of my computer doing a business chat with a client of mine about his system that he had me to do, I’m not really through with the system but I’m feeling some headache so I decide to play first some game, Warcraft 3:Frozen Throne (yay!) the Adrenaline Map a four player map and I was busted in the beginning i didn’t thought that the map would be more to aerial battles luckily I survived the early rounds and manage to win in the end. Ok that was an intermission number, now my head ache is gone and I’m ready to do some work... wrong I’m going to watch Bleach episode 247 (it’s a really good anime, are you watching bleach? Better try this one. It’s an O.K.), so it’s 4 am and I started to watch/listen to a song that I heard earlier at the bus while i was off to SM Rosario yesterday (when I was about to see Nell) can you guess what song it is? Can you? Can you? Nah, it’s Like a tattoo by Jordan Sparks it really got to me when I was missing Nell, ok and to cut the crap up I decided to start blogging that very moment, and here is the product of my work, though this is still not finished I’ll continue this later and start doing some program coding first and try to turn on the auto correct of my word editor since it’s not showing up and I’m afraid that I might have tons of misspelled word here. So I’ll continue these later, guys stay put.
