Hybridizing efforts in 2010 were intense. We made many crosses with choice registered daylilies and selected seedlings. We are just beginning our daylily farm. There are fields of corn on the farm presently which will gradually be replaced with fields of registered daylilies and daylily seedlings. So much to anticipate for future seasons with fields full of beautiful daylilies. We love gardening in Nova Scotia:)!

Several years ago I searched for this daylily, and had a bit of difficulty obtaining it. When I finally received it in Sept 2006 it bloomed immediately on what was most likely a rebloom scape. It must have expended too much energy settling in and blooming at the same time, as it did not bloom again last year.It now has a large fat scape, and if all goes well it will be showing it's beautiful face again in the near future.

Take a closer look at yellow or cream edged daylilies to see if they are metallic edged. It's really very striking. Sometimes hard to capture by the camera, here's one daylily from last year, Angelic Messenger, with a sparkling gold edge~~~Click for a closer view.
