It's [So] hard to [Say] Goodbye... [NEW SITE]

Hello everyone...
Yes it is time for me to say goodbye to Non Micro Blogging. Do not Fear..I have Rebranded. I now have turned Day of Major into a Fashion and Lifestyle Tumblr and IG. Ash you guys know ,I adore Fashion and documenting things around and about. So this is the best way to continue my love for it via Micro Blogging. I have prepped since August and most recently the last 2 weeks (hand picking my post and captioning) my favorite tumbles on Tumblr. I HAVE NOW LAUNCHED IT TODAY! There are over 100 post to look through and it has great site navigation to go directly to personal entries to music i like. This blog will be very similar to Dayofmajor.blogspot.com and it will have Quotes , Personal Post, Music, Fashion and journal (Journey) like entries all on this site as well . Each will have a personal caption from me if not a "Note"/Journal Entry. I also have enabled comments so you can still comment on post if wanted.
If you follow my twitter you have know for sometime I was looking to rebrand from Around August. The upkeep for this blog and the way my life is at 29 is not the same as it was at 24/25. Im in a Relationship now (Mystery 8's and I are going strong) , no longer a "new" graduate, in my career and advancing, more Spiritual than before , just living life and sheesh to tired to post long articles lol. All and all , I have out grown this blog. I will never forget the memories. It helped me move on from an old relationship , helped bring me closer in a new relationship, Met AMAZING blogger boo's (my blogger friends) and was over an amazing outlet. It served its Purpose and I have memories documented forever.
With that said ,Day of Major Blogspot will remain up, however, no new post after this will be made. I mean you can never say never but as of now I will be posting on the new site [DoM] Tumblr. If you guys choose not to follow me via tumblr bloglovin

Summer Items...My Holy [Grail]

So 1st let me start off by saying I MISSED YOU!!! I know some of you follow my IG so I hope that helped a bit in keeping you up to date. I totally think you should still follow for more updates. I will have a collective of different Outfits Posted even a Late post of one before the Hiatus lol. As you know (well if you follow my twitter) I have been going through it Moving and such. My personal life got crazy . Moving drains everything and I didn't want to blog until I felt my home is a home. Anywho, you can check bits of my space out on my ig. I might do a little home tour but you know somethings I like to keep private lol.

Now I was gone but not under a rock. I LOVE the new Jay-z album. It hits many different situations. Well this song can be taken 2 ways, about love and/ or about Fame. I feel JT part is more about Love than Fame while Jay hits Fame. Its just a really nice song. I am a sucker for Piano too. Their is always that one person or maybe multiples that you just can't let go. Love is like that sometimes. I am sure we all relate. It usually works its self out in the end . ;) That's the best part of it being Your Holy Grail.

This post is about my "Holy Grail" summer items.

Clutch

First is the clutch. I have been feeling wearing a clutch opposed to big bags because well its hot as hell lol. I also carry less with a clutch. So this is one of my Summer clutches I thrifted a year ago.

Sunnies!!!

The summer you gotta protect your eyes right. These are one that I got from a small store in California. Love the Gold on them. I have a few other pairs of glasses as well but these happened to be the last used.

iPhone

It has been my crutch instead of using my Nikon. Shooting this post helped me fall in love again. I have learned how to use my F stop and Shutter and Aperture and this was a breeze. I took these shots with low light and no flash. I hate how my flash looks lol. Very limited editing (besides the filter in the shot below).

Lip Gloss

I loooove Co Bigelow no 503 .Mentha Supreme 2x Gloss.

I ordered a 4 pack off ebay but you can get them from Bath and Bodyworks. They last a while(if i don't lose them) I love gloss with tingle and it Moisturizes and helps your breath(though I dont know about the breath part.

Eye Makeup

I can NOT go a day with out Mascara or Eye liner. I do not have to have anything on but I need these.

I only use Maybelline Mascara. Always have since High School thru being a Make up Artist. I love the Volum line I had it since day one (Gray /Blue tube) I only use water proof mascara to because I use eye drops with my contacts need it to stay on. Falsie Flares in Black drama is my go to at the moment.

Wet n Wild H20 Liquid Eyeliner. I saw this on a YouTube Guru I believe it was MissLBailey WaterProof liquid liner. For the same reasons of the mascara but I love Liquid Eyeliner pens and they discontinued years ago the Maybelline pen and I didnt like the replacement. Last year I found this and it is Cheaper. hehe

Mac Saddle Shadow- I use it to light contour my nose(Mostly when I am going out at night and as my everyday base. It give a none makeup look while evening out the looks. I saw Youtube Guru FlowerPush used it when I was looking for a basic neutral brown that defines slight and this was perfect.

NARS

I love tinted moisturizers. I have freckles and never been one to cover hem up . It makes me look like a pancake face. This has a great build-able coverage. I use it really under my eyes and forehead and nose. Its a Thicker Tint moisturizer and glides on smooth.

This randomly came on my Google Play. So why not make it the title of this Post. I mean these shoes are sexy and that song is sexy sooooo...... Lol

So this Post is going to be short and Sweet. I purchased these bad boys right before Panama for Panama. The Mirror reflective sole and heel caught my eye and I couldn't resist. I am such a fan of "Not the ordinary" Heel. I like shoes to look like art. Even if its a main stream designers I still want it to have something that makes it look Bold and stand out! I have a slideshow of some of my favs below.

These are about 6 inches but very comfy. I like the fact I can dress it up if need be. They are B by Brian Atwood Talca heel. Can't wait to show you outfits that I paired with them.

Majorly [Late] Post ..Highs with Lows

Hey Guys I owe you post. I am packing and getting ready to move at the end of this month so I haven't really been going to many places that involve me "Getting Dressed" lol This was back in Feb I believe. It was for my friend who got engaged and is moving away going away party. Did you catch that lol It was when I first Highlighted my hair , Yuh girl was feeling herself lol. I am wearing a thifted Blazer Shirt with Faux leather pants. I paired them with my Zara heels that I adore and found on sell, a chain necklace and my Ysl ring and Clutch. This is a perfect example on how you can mix High end and low end.

I have always been a fan of high and low end ...basically because mostly everyone can do it. High end doesn't necessarily mean Designers. It can be a higher priced item friendly to your budget. I.e if Zara is one of the more expensive stores you shop it can be that. This portion of my post is to say if you have a Higher priced shoe, bag, shirt etc It can change the way you look and feel. I prefer to have a Shoe , bag, or jewelry than clothes. To me I can find great deals on them (Designer) and I can't see myself paying $150 for a tank top. Plus that money can be put toward a bag or shoes that will last me longer lolol. Those of you know that have been following my blog since day one, that I haven't always had designer items in my post. I have had my blog for some years so I have advance in my personal life my style and brands have changed. Even though i'm not an advocate of F21 now ,the quality just changed with them , I still might find a cheap trendy item (Ie. Harem Pant or cropped bralette).But I don't shop there Like I did during my first blog years. But something about me no matter what salary I make I always Thrifted. Ladies that don't, boy the deals you can find. The vintage moment you can share are endless. I recently scored a Vintage 1960's Givenchy purse I am going to show you guys in a future post. Things like that with a thrifted shirt and H and M pants can make your whole outfit look designer head to toe. As long as the low is well made you shouldn't have a problem. I always stress Quality in the make of things and this is why.My guy said I just give off this presence and people always think I am rolling in designers from head to toe. HA! If only they knew my pants were from H &M . ; )

Did you guess it? I know every one has these. I couldn't resist though. I was looking for them forever in DC. It seems every size 36 was too. They were sold out. So while in Panama (This shot was in my Hotel room) I was amazed to see a ZARA. I had to go. I bought a few other things I will show in a later post. The Zara looked exactly the same I think they had more sundresses and TRF section was huge. Other than that it was slight more expensive than the states booooooo. Over all I am happy I found these bad boys in cobalt blue. P.s Blue is one of my favorite color. Black and Blue. lol Guess that fits with my feisty side. lol Your legs in these look amazing. the coral /peach ones are to die for and the black ones had my mom saying "Girl, if i was younger ..." Any who, I am BACK and Have to get my post together. I might have time during the weekend. Also I am going to a fashion event tonight so hopefully an Outfit post to break it up.

I love this Cassie Mixtape yall Know I love Cassies mixtape. Nothing like a man who takes care of you right? Not just Financially but Emotionally , mentally and well... you know the rest. I love this song. I will say it is in my top Three songs off the mixtape.

So as most of you know, I am going to on a vacation outside the country to Panama Saturday. I am very excited. I am also know very blessed and fortunate to be able to afford this trip. I have to say that a few years ago this would have just been a dream.

Anywho, My Father is from Panama and I am excited to see were he is from. I also am excited to lay by the pool at this resort and go to the beach. Nothing like Foreign Sands ^_^. The Hotel I am staying at looks amazing. It is called the Riu Plaza Panama. It is a 4 star Hotel with all the perks. You know I am all for a Boutique style Hotel Though this is bigger the decor looks great!!!

I will be bringing my Nikon so I will be sure to take a bunch of pictures as well as have a bunch of post.lol.

I have been out the country a few times but I am on a quest to visit a few more places before I have a child/ family. I love my travel agent PTunlimited Ms Elfreda hooked me up for this one and now I see how attainable other Vacays will be. I'm getting older and around the settle down age so I want to enjoy. This is just a mini post but I PROMISE that the aftermath trip post will be great.

So my twitter followers know I LOVE CASSIE. She is like my Rihanna. She doesn't have the strongest vocals but unlike Rihanna she stays in her lane. She also has a MEAN sense of fashion even with out a stylist. Unlike Rihanna (Please cc her Denim skirt top combo from a week ago.) Rih you just see when she dresses her self. Well made shoes don't all come with a price too so I definitely suggest paying attention to the details. Any who it is safe to say. I will be getter a hologram or shiny silver heel soon.

I just discovered ZZ Ward and she is AMAZING to say the least. This is a quote from her song -Blue Eyes Blind. She has a combo of good and bad love songs Soulful . So when I was writing this post I was wearing one of my new Favorite Pants. I say one because I currently have them in 3 colors. They are ankle length and though they say low rise they seem more of a mid rise. They have no back pockets but useable front pockets. The stretch is amazing and I have them in Grey, Beige and the Blue I am wearing in the Picture (I won the blue on in a bet hehe) You know you have a problem when instead of betting money in an article of clothes lol. As some as you that follow my twitter know. I feel some sort of way about the triangle pictured above.This Story I am not ashamed hit closed to home for me. It has happened with me when I was younger with my Ex (the one that helped me start blogging) . I am now older and had a similar situation very recently except I was on the other side and there was no relationship establish with either party. Dating now a days can get really tricky. I just feel if you have open and HONEST communication and make sure you respect things you don't like control your spastic emotions you can get into one.
She talks about how you look to the other woman to insecurities to be spiteful and post things to "Hurt" the other woman. At the end thats what it boiled down to with Rihanna and Karrueche (sp?). If you noticed Rih went hard posting pics and Karreuche sometimes reacted sometimes didn't. At the end of the day I have far more respect K than Rih. K never boasted and intentionally tweeted or Ig'd anything to be spiteful 1st. Even after rih admitted she loved her man on national tv and Released a song about" Nobodys Business ". K did nothing. It was only toward the end when media and Rih start posting pics did she post these

I have had a Blast these 2 months and I regret not Blogging about it.Its starting to get warmer too now so I am definitely going to be out more.

Also next week I am going to Panama. That is where my Father is from. I am so excited to see where he grew up. I also can not wait to be by the beach and pool and sheesh out of the US lol. So I am obseeeesssed with Tamar Braxton's Love and War song. Fortunately I am not in a war type situation but I love this song. I heard her second release and it was a remake I am not really feeling. Oh well.

This outfit I actually wore this outfit in Nov. I reconnected with a guy and we went to the movies. I believe it was Argo. I am sure its on dvd now but its still a must see!!! I wasn't a huge fan of military camo at first debut 2 years ago but it grew on me.I don't know I just kept thinking of Destiny's Child Survivor ,You know when everyone wore blue ,red, pink and standard etc Camo print in all different designs. lololol

Anywho , I love this shirt (Which is actually from the guy I met with. Stole it! He's never getting it back). The Lincoln shirt is actually from the Lincoln Restaurant( Remember from this Post) . Coincidentally, I didn't plan this I promise, was from the 1st date with the reconnected friend. HAHA. But something about a graphic tee with camo just works for me. I love this Song by Brandy. It came on randomly on my playlist at work and has been stuck in my head. Brandy doesn't get nearly as much credit as she should. He voice has gotten so much stronger and her Runs are amazing. I love her New album two eleven (Named in honor of Whitney Houstons day she died 2.11.12) Houston was her friend and Idol. This song verse I relate to in a non typical way. I know the feeling of being stuck where you are . This year I am continuing my positive outlook. Now to the Meat!!! I just Purchase a few new Items. My first Items of the New year. I recently tweeted a week ago about these items saying all I have on my want list is a Necklace and a Purse. I spotted this purse believe it or not at DSW when I went with a co worker to find shoes at lunch. I saw this Vince Camuto one I wanted for $200 but this one came shining through with all its vegan leather glory for less than $100. I was Sold. You know I like designer things but I love a good deal. I am not against Quality looking less expensive Items at all.True style can mix and Match in my Opinion. The quilt/woven detail AMAZE! Also its big enough to fit my Nikon in WOOO! As you guys Know I am a sucker for Costume jewelry . The necklace is Celine inspired.I can't afford/ pull myself to purchase $940 for a Celine Necklace. The place I bought it from is sold out but they have them if you google everywhere it seems. I plan on wearing it this weekend . It is a big weekend for DC Inauguration I plan on Spending time with friends and Fam why not.:) Sorry for lack of post Ive really just been living life lol. I wish everyone a happy new year. I made it home safe from cali early Friday morning...my friend I can honestly say i missed showed good faith getting me from the airport. Anyone who picks you up from the airport at 5am and has a smile value them lolol. Last few days have been eye opening. I've grown closer to my friends and though things got irritating with some knowing time will prevail keeps us motivated. I hope everyone else enjoyed NYE and was safe and not too Hungover. My NYE was better than expected chatted,texted,saw /heard from people who care for me and love was in the air. I had to take the L turning down someone i wanted to hang with but i am all for happiness and no drama. Besides im sure their backup was fun and worth it. No song lyrics today but its catching on to some ppl who follow my blog and blog i see. lol.(I inspire hehe) I have something else for you guys though ...Here are some of my new year mantras:

My fam is in cali so whenever i am in a relationship or dating someone serious this song pops in my head because I'm normally across the country from them. what is your favorite xmas or holiday song?

I just wanted to do a quick post. These shots are from my high school reunion sheesh 10 years. I found this vintage dress and reconstructed it myself. Though most if you know I loathe most f21 clothing bc the quality of the clothes went down when they changed suppliers about 4 /5 years ago. I'm not against basics (leggings etc) or jewelry. That necklace I found in Vegas f21 was a steal. Paired with my thrifted belt, wangs and YSL clutch. You could tell that the dress was 10$ lolololol. I love this song TeachMe by Musiq. It really speaks to me. It's an old song and I always related to this song because it tackles something I have issues with doing and I have fallen for a few that have issues with it as well. That issue is Loving Really loving. The other day I asked someone if they believe in love and they responded that they did but in different levels of it. There is also a difference of being in love with someone and having love for someone. I definitely agreed to that because how I loved in High school might not be on the same level as how I love today. Also How I loved my last might not be how I love you. Sometimes heartbreak , lackluster previous or current companions , Life issues and/or Maturity can stop someone from opening up. I basically have had a cluster of all. I through all my experiences, old and new, have learned to Express more and open up. Its all a learning experience which is what I remind my self and helps me open up. Having someone who is willing to work with you also makes a difference. Any one else struggle with this?

SOOOOO... This Miguel song I've been on since well.... I got the album drop boxed to me a few months ago. It came on my playlist today and inspired the title. everytime i hear it Im like mmmmm this song is tooooo sexy. Everyone has that one kaleidoscope dream guy or gal lol. As you guys know im still on my spiritual journey. i have had a few slip ups i will admit. I am not perfect . i have my flaws. I have been tested in the last few months and there is a point in your life you have to step back and wonder why certain things or situations tend to keep happening to Me. You go through the blame others phase ,then the well what did i do that couldve prevented this, and final the steps to make sure you dont cause this on yourself again phase . Well i have for years ,i realize ,never made it to the last step. I entertain alot of bullshit thrown at me. Either to not be seen as , as i tell 8s,"a punk" or i tend to think about others feelings and try to make sure that in certain situations I don't come out as provoking things. I hide or don't post things that make me laugh or smile bc I thought someone would take it wrong. But its not like me to not be open and filter things and i know it comes across as not sincere. Most people can smell / spot bs or consider it fake. As i can smell that with others. Call me the Sherlock Holmes of spotting facades ppl try to promote and create lolol. Ive never been the one to be boastful about love, lust, or like obsessively .(as you guys know I think any one who blatantly does that is trying to put on a show and cover flaws. Relationships should be private and low key. You should make it a privilege for anyone to hear or see anything about your love. Not a forced show or necessity ) so that wasn't a problem but i like smart ass quotes and jokes and i like to share them.

I was talking to my homie yesterday and just had to use his advice worry about myself who cares how others see it. i can private things, monitor /filter everything i say but at the end of the day I cant control people and how they perceive things or look at what I write ,post and say. Its not even on that "my life your entertainment" type ish. They will think I'm hiding something bc I private my page, they will assume I'm talking about them bc I post a smart ass quote, showing off or with someone bc I foursquare , they will assume I'm breaking truces bc i write about my life and ppl involved in it etc. its just reality you can only control how you handle situations. Filtering things was something i NEVER liked to do. Most ppl who dislike me can even read my whole blog and see I've talked about these things before them and will talk about them after them. Though i have filtered my blog in the last few months not to cause drama for myself and a friend but at the end of the day this is my blog. I started it out of heartbreak not giving AF about what, who and why ppl get offended.

Though i am not as reckless as i used to be in those days. I'm still confident person and never feel threaten by another person ...annoyed by them yes never threaten. I have been told by someone I care about and value their opinion recently, I give off an "intimidating "vibe. Like that "I'm a spartan and will get what I want" without even announcing it. Or like i know "i am in am a better choice or in a whole different category than other girls" but not in a coincided way more like in my presence. I would say that's a partial truth. I believe it is fair game in love, work, sports, etc. I know my skills and what I bring to the table in everything I do. Though I slip and vent my annoyance I don't worry everyday about others bc when you do insecurities can consume you. I want to be the best basically at everything I strive for and if someone(job or love) want what I have to offer you take it.. If you don't someone else will and I will still be at the same level of importance to me that I was before. Every one should feel that way. "stop worrying about the bitch before and/or the next bitch" mindframe. lol

I have realized that I've had one flaw... In my annoyance I still care about "the bitch before/ next bitch " feelings . It's like stepping on a bug on accident and worry about if it had a family ,where was it going , is the colony going to starve now. Its something that you couldn't prevent but you can't let that stop you from putting on those fendi heels and walking down the street still doing you. hehe . Basically I realized that I can still not hurt peoples feelings while being true to myself. How ? STOP WORRYING , and/or playing into it and ignore.

People will always dislike you, blame you for problems they have with you, mock you and try to spite you as long as you are breathing and prob even more after you stop lol . You cant stop it. Now I also realize that i am not holier than thou. I to will have those negative thoughts about others because i am not perfect. I also know that it is also caused By some underlining issue i have with myself or a situation i experienced. Yet when I realize it I work to fix it now instead of oh well that's me. Both situations you "hating" or them "hating" ...It's going happen and once you really accept that ,you will stop responding to it and creating it bc in the end it just showing your spiteful insecurities. Everytime i see an insecure comment about me and i show out by trying to address every thing everyone has to say especially without directly telling them i am just as insecure.

I honestly have to say I know that this will be taken as a direct hit to about 3 people I know read my blog who don't care for me (the perks of having google analytics and site meter type codes embedded in your blog is you can see who visits and how frequently what they search for etc,) ;) but at the same time i said it before in my open letter. I have no beef and this is just something i realized i have been doing and honestly Im really just tired of being in a situation(battling with not expressing myself in fear of provoking or hurting someone) I Know I am situational Bitch when tested so I do this because I know that when I think I'm staying low key and vanilla that I'm still under a distorted microscope and its taken completely wrong. one current situation only knew i am rooting for them to be friends with my friend again esp if they had strong feelings for my friend I even told that one that. I am just not into anyone being spiteful and angry towards anyone I care for. I don't have any ill will ...opinions yes (I think they handle shit wrong/indirect and use social media to expose to much ) but at the end of the day I told them that and wish them happiness spite them being spiteful towards me.

Anyways this got super long , but im going to address this last bit to them. shoutout those 3 ppl . B, A, and N don't take this as a spiteful response to anything you have said or done to me. You have made your goal to hit my weak spots at one time or the other a few months ago I'll admit that . Congrats if thats what you tried to do. I am also in no way innocent either(I have slipped too) but I understand now you gotta Do what you gotta do to get over me or situations you feel I caused for you. I also want to thank you because now and as its been for about a month now, I just really have been doing me. Happy with my family ,friends, fwb just cooling it and keeping it easy. I am not out to get you our make you jealous ,spur emotion or anger. As cocky as this might sound but I kinda like my life and how it's playing out right now than to focus on ppl who want me to fail or feel pain. It takes a lot of energy to control feelings or emotions of two lives esp one that isn't yours. And to it air out and let all you know what it is.To One: I am probably going to remain friends with your friend/ex boo and Im happy and we vibe and I really want you two to do the same, To One: I don't like the person you are becoming but finally get and know you are happy and happy for you and To One: I didnt mean to hurt you .You all know which one each is directed to. And I feel sooooo much better not caring even now how you may perceive this. I do however, hope you receive this well with an open heart and no distortion bc I'm sure you have bonds to mend, ppl to get back and hearts to give to others than worry about what im doing and wearing. I seriously and sincerely wish you that and would say it to your face if I had the chance.

And the quote in the title "it's not about you it's about me" is something my cousin and I thought about while discussing one of my situations. Most times things aren't about you it's about the person voicing it" :) any who This post stems from my bday in Vegas. I loooooved this dress. I reconstructed it myself. Bday part 3 [lost in paradise]

Sooooo if you follow my twitter I have been on Rihanna's new album. Some songs had to grow in me but over all i'm feeling the album.(It just went #1 her first number 1 album out of her 7 to ever do it on the billboard charts.) Granted Rihanna has Singles for days but her albums are never that strong... Good for her.. :) Well... This song is pretty real. You ever feel like you know you are playing with fire but the fact that it intrigues you so much you rather risk being burned than walk away. You might not think you are really ready to walk that plank but you go for it anyways. She is talking about love of course in that song but I think you can relate this into anything you know it isn't good for you but you'd rather do it instead of not being able to do it or have it. Trying something is better than trying nothing. As long as you Play smart and not hard... There is always a 50% chance that risk is worth it. Anywho I can't really relate fully to this now but I sure have felt that way.

This is my last bday post... Well at least me talking about my bday im summing it up here. But I have sooooooo many pictures. What should I do.. Post them? I have 3 different outfits that could equal 3 more post. But do you really want to see more? I have non bday post backing up too. Sheesh. But Anywho this was in Vegas . A few of my friends fam, and BFF s flew to Vegas 4 days and partied and shopped of course lol. I actually got to go to Topshop store in Fashion show mall. I never ordered online from them because the US site isn't as great as the UK site. At this store though OMG! I racked up on jewelry . I loooooove that store. Though security was following my friends and I around.. I bought over 100 dollars worth of stuff but apparently me my Lv bag ,Zara dress and a vest looked like a thief or fit a description .*rolls eyes* Oh well wack.... this day was my BFF (our moms are bffs and we are born 2 weeks apart ) actual bday but we still celebrated it as a double bday. We had a table at haze. Went to dinner at Milo (in our hotel the Cosmopolitan )the salmon tar-tare was amazing. I definitely recommend staying at the Cosmopolitan Hotel staff is wonderful.

Bday part[2] Shine Bright like a Diamond..

That song definitely grew on me. I overall can relate to that feeling. During this time and even now I had to "choose to be happy" than sad. Do what I felt was best for me. You guys know how it is during a "break up/Go our separate ways".

On a better note I also felt my dress was suuuuper shiny lol and while editing this post "Shine bright like a diamond" kept replaying in my head lolol. Hence the title.Anywho, This is birthday #2. My bday dinner I had with friends. The Friday after my bday I invited my close friends to a dinner at my favorite restaurant in dc J and G steakhouse in the W hotel. Though the service was kinda slow for a large table great company was enough to keep the party going. I choose to wear a form fitting dress. Crazy bc I normally do not wear a "freak em dress" as stated in my other post as I get older wearing flowy outfits are just well comfy and chic enough for me. This metallic dress is an old American apparel dress I searched for and found on a blog shop.(Side note : I love blogshops. They are like thrifting from ppl style you adore). I have been wanting to wear something gold and metallic for a while. I wore the wangs again... Told you I love them and accessorized with more bracelets and rings and keep the neck simple. I went for the beyonce b'day cover look for my hair. I love a good updo lol. I was great to be surrounded by friends bc as you know this was around the time mystery 8 and I parted ways. (No worries we are friends .. Just friends but I wouldn't have it any other way). During this time I was a little down and out but this bunch helped me forget. Isn't it great to have good people support you :) any who enjoy :)

Birthday part one... Hello

As you all know my bday was last month. I celebrated it 3 different weeks from Dc to Vegas to Cali.(reason for lack of oct pst). This will be a 3 part blog post. The day before I had webhautejas the nail artist stop by my house and do my nails. I looove them and you guys in the DMV should definitely check her out her prices are not bad at all. This post was my actual bday Oct 9th. I worked a half day at work and it was a lil cooler so I was able to wear my new booties I bought ... cc: my previous post in aug. after work I took myself to lunch at Bangkok joes in Georgetown. It was amazing. One of my fav gtown restaurants and great little vibe and tasty food. When I went home the little sis made me a "M" red velvet cake and red velvet cupcakes. She seems to bake for me once a year -_- but beggars cant be choosers and I appreciate her bake goods especially since I can't bake .YUM ! My sister and her friend then took me out to a lounge here in dc to celebrate with a local promotion company DTNation. I had a blast from what I can remember it was shots shots shots. Overall this day was a blast. My outfit was quite simple and I got to wear my Alexander Wang sandal booties for the first time which eventually became my official bday shoe. (Also just my go to heel now) I wore them all month. They are just so comfy. This was also of the last times I got to wear shorts too. Bc now its cold :( thanks for stopping by. [Fall] Statements...

This blog post isn't a song titled... I couldn't find a song that fits my mood and this subject lol.

First, I would like to thank everyone for Emails and Comments about my Bday , Mystery 8 and Rocksteady Post. It was appreciated more than you know. I am glad I was able to inspire alot of you guys. I also saw that more than Mystery 8 like my blog. This post is about my current wants/ likes for the fall. This isn't necessary everything that is on trend but more about things I like.

I don't follow trends much not because I don't like them but my body shape doesn't always work with them.

I am a very Petite person and growing up it sucked for me because I tried to follow the trends but when you are the size of a 9 year old at 14 its hard to find clothes that fit you and have the "Junior size" trends. So I found myself Always trying to Alter aka Rig my clothes . Which is what I still do today but it was over the top then. I then learned more about my body shape around 15/16 and started to find things that worked for me instead of wearing what my friends could wear. It helped me gain more confidence because. things didn't look baggy and I wore what I liked. I also discovered the "Asian" Stores what we called them in Cali. The stores/ styles that you see wholesale.net and etc but as a store front. I have a petite frame and the Korean, Japanese clothing stores clothes run smaller and had the latest trends so I flocked to them around hard 16.

Now at 28*Gasp* I am way more comfy in my skin and know what works and what stores to hit... that is because of what I've learned but mostly because I have a shopping addiction. I like Quality things now over Quantity things and I feel a sense of pride to be able to wear them. Though they might be more than the average forever 21 item it doesn't mean im above rocking thrifted as you know i have normally one thrifted item in a post lol. It might make me seem Bougie to the outside world and even to my friends lol(they always say that -_-) but I know how to pair a designer shoe with a thrifted shirt and costume jewelry from ebay and you wouldn't know that everything didn't cost over $100. That is apart of the art of style to me. NOW with that said. I try not to pay full price ever and I try to always try to find a Steal version of any thing I buy before going straight to the designer. Just a disclaimer because the Pieces below are not actual items I will be purchasing more of Ideas I like and I IDEAS I LOVE ARE STATEMENT EVERYTHING! From Shoes to Coats. Wearing one to 2 statement pieces are looks i'm loving. The Gaudy look I am feeling right now. I hope you enjoy and let me know what things you are into right now in comments.

Statement Pants are everything. I love leather pants and have for a few years now. COTTDS really got me into that look. They are edgy but chic if worn well and I have a bunch of black pairs but would love jewel toned or gray ones. Brocade designs are trendy right now. I think I would wear it more on a going out type of night than a daytime but nonetheless I like them. I am STILL in love with the Zipper , waxed and Metallic effect jean as well from last fall/winter. I am on the hunt to get more that black on my legs this upcoming Cold season.

STATEMENT JACKETS IN THE COLD!!!! *Gasp* This is the easiest and also most expensive statement in my opinion. Because if your jacket is your statement think of the more you need to buy lololol. Textured jackets esp fur! I Adore right now. How could you not like them . Fur and Faux Fur are classic from Hollywood starlets to late 70's 80's discos. Prints jackets have been more and more present in the last few years but the Camo and Military look I am seeing on more and more on Blogs. I actually have a lets say ... "Gifted" Camo shirt I "got" from Mystery 8 that I will be wearing soon. Its a suppper cute outfit that I can NOT wait to wear. Might wear it my upcoming Vegas bday celebration trip! Structured jackets I have been in love with for a few years now as well.. The Leather to canvas this is the most versatile way to wear a statement jacket and easier on the pocket books because they have toned down versions.

I feel this is the topic that doesn't need a description. SHOES can always add a statement. I tend to do this as my main go to statement piece. You can have pops of Color to Fringe to a Crazy heel. Shoes you can also use to layer with other statement pieces without looking over the top. Those Isabel Marant (Embellished) ones though *eeek* I'd die for.

The Statement Jewelry is the less expensive upfront purchase you can make. I need to add more color and I prefer to do it more through Jewelry than anything. Neck Plates are hot the more Gaudy to me the better and If you know me .. I am for the Arm Party, Rager, Event, Extravaganza and whatever over used term . I don't care I love it still. Rings and Earrings are just as great. I love the nail ring thing. I am on the hunt for one. Also I love the oversized earring thing too but I am more on studs nowadays.

Any who,I hope you enjoyed the post. I tend to not do these every season bc most of the pieces I buy I can use in multi seasons. Thanks for stopping by though guys.

No fashion post today... But just know bc of this day ..my born day (hehe) there will be a bunch to come. I am celebrating my bday this week in DC. Then in Two weeks in VEGAS. My first legal visit to Vegas and all my Cali boos will be there. I am one year older and as you know in my previous post. I have grown more in the last few months. I credit mystery 8 even though we are no longer dating... I'm doing well but the person he showed me was motivation and maybe one day we will be friends.
