challenges

2011-03-13T21:38:00.000+05:30

Morning comes everyday , you remain the same, until something changes. That something in your life may have a positive or else negative impact on your life. I call these the challenges. Many of you may not accept with me calling it challenges but, i have my own view point. By the end of this post you will be understanding why i call them challenges.
One day a school going kid had a announcement that his final exams are the very next week. These exams for the kid are a challenge. He has to pass them irrespective of the circumstances. A mountaineer wants to climb the mount everest, he starts one day he falls once or twice and finally reaches his destination. The climbing of the mount everest is a challenge to be achieved by the mountaineer. In a running race a record time is a challenge for the sports man/women. Every age person has his own challenges, the above are a very few examples of them.

Challenges as i said have both positive and negative impact on life. As i always say, the way a person approaches a particular problem shows the result. If a person tries his best and fails, he may have a better chance with his next operation. If a person gives up and does nothing to overcome his problem, he will remain were he is all through his life. Sometimes we get into trouble ourselves helping others, i say that a negative effect is obtained because of the challenge.
Challenges vary with a persons approach to things. Every challenge a man/women faces is a part of his/her learning process. Everyone learns something from his/her experiences. What to do and what not to. what to talk and what not to and so on. Everyone has to learn something or the other from their lives irrespective of the age.
If all these sound like challenges for me and you, once image about those kids who does not have enough money for food and living. Image about those people living their life, even if they have one part of their body not working. Image about all those people in the orphanage. Imagine about people facing racial discrimination problems in other countries. What are all these for those people, these are also challenges.
I now define challenge as something that can be achieved if you hope you can, irrespective on all possible problems you may face during the process.
What more do you think are challenges for you ?

Advertisements : too many these days?

2011-03-11T21:26:00.000+05:30

When we buys things we expect that we get good satisfaction from the product we buy. Once upon a time the competition for a product was less that customers have had no choice in choosing a different substitute product. For example: today we have like may be 100 different soaps brands, we have a choice to make what to buy and were to buy depending on our requirements. Time and tides wait for no man. Time changed and the world changed. Today advertisements play a major role in all our lives. Marketing is all about selling and buying once upon a time. Today the equation has changed into
   marketing= selling+ buying+ advertising

Advertisement is a way of promotion of a product. Advertisement is not new for any one of us here. We see a lot of ad`s here and there. Basically we need to know how advertising is important to any company. Suppose i have a soap industry and i am producing soap X, assume that i am new to the industry, no one know about soap X. so, after my product is released in the market, i have to advertise. Advertising means showing how Soap X is better than other soaps. We can advertise using a wide range of options like television, pamphlets and so on.Advertisements also show what feature in particular for a product makes it unique from the others.

Coming to my question again, are ad`s too much nowadays. I have to say both yes and no for this question. Yes it is too much as every were , every day we see ads . ranging from between the television shows to the emails. Ad`s turned to be bothering customers these days. we always say too much of something is dangerous. We see millions of companies releasing 1 add each year, making like million ad`s a year. The customer gets confused in selecting his tastes. No because ad`s play a great role in the growth of both the company and the economy indirectly.

There are also Ad`s that are created by the government for the welfare of the people, like the Ad`s on "Education to all". "HIV/AIDS" and so on.Seeing these Ad`s many people will realize their mistakes and correct themselves contributing in the economy growth. so my saying " no" really works here.

So, i am equivocating the statement Ad``s are never too much until they contribute to the society growth and Ad`s are too much until the customer get confused on what to buy and were to buy.

Games : Better and better every day

2011-03-05T03:07:00.000+05:30

I remember the days when i was a kid, i got my first video game and it was digital ,just a few options ,few buttons and few modes in the game. When i first got my computer, i used to play games that were good but, the games now are awesome. The games i used to play those days lacked in graphics and the effects used to be minimum . As the technology improved the quality of games also improved. Better technology was able to attract better quantity of people. So, here i am writing about my experiences with games.

Positive effect of gaming on children:

Games are useful for children in many ways. I have to deny those parents who say that games are bad for the following specific reasons.
1.) Games improve the thinking ability
2.) Games teaches a child a lot of things like how to plan (strategy games).
3.) Games are apart of recreation and entertainment.

Negative effects of gaming on children:

Every coin has two sides.,so does the gaming. Talking about the other side of gaming.
1.)Gaming may have some negative effects on the child in some cases, children who plays games that are rated above their age groups may have this effect . The whole gaming environment is based on age, for example:games for teen may have some brutal content that should not seen by a child . If the child plays the game, i think you can understand what effect these games can have on him.
secondly too much gaming may have effect on the child's eye`s.
Children get addicted to Games easily due to the fact that it is real entertaining.

This image is a snap shot from a Game in XBOX ,see how natural it looks. I think all of you understand why gaming is so good in a ps3 or a xbox.

Technology and gaming :

I already said that the improvements in technology has changed the world of gaming. when i was a kid people used to hardly talk about video games and computers but, today we talk about ps3 ,XBOX,wii .These devices are said to portray a better gaming experience to the user. The experience of gaming in these devices is uncomparable. The better gaming experience means that a user feels as if he is in the game when he is playing it. The graphics ,textures and all the stuff are so good that people can not stop playing.

Even in the computer today`s games need a extra graphics card to be embeded to the present computer to assure better gaming performance. As technology is increased the Game quality and quantity also increased.
I recall that when i played games like "heritic 2" and " Blood omen 2" long back the memory requirement was around 700 MB maximum but, today i see games which need a space of around 2 to 12 Gb . Better quality game needs more space.

Each game that is designed takes lot of hard work of many people working for many hours. Rome is not built in a day so do a game.

With the advent of internet online games came into existence. As, technology furthest improved ,mobile phones also started having games. These games are run using java scripts usually.

Games have now turned as a part and parcel of our life.
Games are good, play them with a limit. parents please do not restrict children from playing games.

Advice to everyone about games:

1.)Games are good play them
2.) Do not play games that are rated above your age limit.
3.) Work and play have to be in a direct proportion . Play but do not forget to work.

Every one has their own story to tell

2011-03-01T01:47:00.000+05:30

Every day you dream of something big and expect things to happen, sometimes you may achieve it and sometimes not. There are situations in your life, that happen when you least expect them. Sometimes a loss turns into a fortune and a fortune a loss.
There is something like this happening in my life.I can neither reveal my problem nor hide it .So i thought i will post something related on what i think.
The sky is the limit try to reach it.
Move through the tides of time irrespective of its strength,
A rose is beautiful remember it has thorns.
I am be saying what all of you guys really know but, are quite afraid about what to do. When a situation really shows up were you got choices and you got to take a decision follow the following points:
1. Take a deep breath.
2.close your eyes, think which choice choices your business or problem better or else think for a solution for your problem . Remember think with a cool mind, i mean be re laked.
3. Just jot down the pro`s and con`s of each problem and then you are ready to take a decision.

When there is a situation when things go all bad with you . I understand this situation pretty well, i am facing it in some way or the other. It is like you can not think, you get frustrated and what ever. Once a wise man said to me "Things always have two sides like a coin the good one and the bad one, every time you may not get a good one but , there are times were the bad one can be turned into a good one.It all matters how you see it.". I think the saying has made you understand what i really mean.

Now taking about viewpoints , Some people always think in a way that they are losers and stuff like that. Let me give you guys a real good example : You are in a moving train, when you look out from the window you see that the tress, objects and everything seems like moving. When you are outside train and see the train you see that the train is moving. This is a very big example of perception. When you are losing continuously it does not mean that you are a loser , It means that a bigger victory is waiting for you some were at some time. Believe in what you do, put your best efforts, win or lose you will definately learn something worthy. This worthy stuff you learnt may help you some were else. The fact that i want all of you to have is a positive attitude towards your life. The magic is in thinking not in dreaming., You wish a dream to come true, it will remain a dream until and unless you act.

There are 3 steps for success:
1. Believe yourself
2. Decide what you want to achieve
3. Do your best to achieve your goal.

The best part of all Diaster management plays a very important role in all situations. Life is not always fair but, try making it fair. Here are a few examples to turned their lives with their

Sir Issac Newton found the laws of gravitation and was not able to prove it in the first case. He became a Mathematician and invented a new branch of calucus called Intergration to prove his theories. Integration forms the basis of all scientific reserch in the field of science and technology today. If he has given up , guys imagine.

Thomas Alva Edison succeeded in his 100th attempt in the invention of the bulb. When asked why he failed 99 times he said " I did not fail i just learnt the different ways a bulb should not be designed". Imagine light without him. Imagine light if he has given up.

There are many great people like this. Everyone got up from failures and bounced back with double the force. Change is what that makes life realistic, there is no mistake in changing. Int he book " The Natural Selection" by Darwin , you will see the need to change. He says change happens to adapt to the environment, situations, he also explains about survival skills and stuff. It is written to show the collection of all animals and plants at that time, you can learn something even from a book like that.

so, guys cheer up . We are the Winners of our own life, believe it, dream it, achieve it and then talk about it.

Cloud computing: Every one is using it, unoticed!

2011-02-20T19:31:00.000+05:30

Every day we do a lot of things on the internet, like checking our mails, browsing and so on. We also do a lot in our computers , like reading ebooks, preparing documents and so on. we use flash drive to carry our data, cloud is something like a flash drive in some aspects. There are a lot of differences between a flash drive and a cloud. Cloud is a block of memory that is used to store data, but the memory is in the internet ,the data can be retrived back were ever a network connection is available. For example i have a cloud of 4 GB of space, i can store my data in the cloud and retrieve it at my friends home, who has a network connection. In our daily life a lot of inter networking activity today is carried out through cloud computing. One big example is Gmail , we receive and send a lot of our data through emails in gmail , were is all the information stored?. the answer would be servers, but how many servers and back up hard disks does google require to store all this information about different users of gmail and their respective data. This led to the concept of cloud computing were a company like Amazon offers to store the data. Today amazon has like 1 billion servers.

Services offered by cloud computing:
1.)Application as service
2.)platform as service
3.)infrastructure as service

Types of clouds:
1.)public cloud:
This type of cloud is available to all the people who access internet.
2.)private cloud:
In this kind of cloud, the stored data can only accessed bty the authorized person, like your Gmail, Yahoo mail and so on.
3.)Community cloud :
In this the stored data can be accessed by a group , who have authority to participate and use the information. Like a Google group, were only the specified group members can access the data and data transfer is between them only.
4.)Hybrid cloud:
This cloud is the combination of Public cloud and Private cloud. Most of the websites today are actually Hybrid clouds. Any user is restricted to see only a specified amount of data , only authorized persons are all the data in the cloud.like a company website, were the employee can see all the information and a client can see only specified information.

One more big advantage of cloud computing is that you pay for what we use and not more, so we are saving money, space and using a efficient way of data handling.
some clouds:
http://www.ibm.com/ibm/cloud/ (IBM cloud)
http://code.google.com/appengine/ (one of the many thousand clouds that google has)
http://www.ubuntu.com/cloud ( ubuntu cloud , you can create one if you use ubuntu linux os, for free)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/ (The windows cloud: windows Azure)
The communication between a client and a server can be understood from the images below:

here are some video`s that show how advantageous cloud computing is?

What do you think i future of the world would be like using such great computing techniques?

Do you guys know that you are using it daily?

Android : A boon to the Mobile technology

2011-02-18T13:37:00.000+05:30

Corruption:we can stop it

2011-02-16T00:49:00.000+05:30

Corruption : i can not define it , i am able to see it, i am able to feel it , in my country , with my people..It is in the society for years nw. Corruption has got into nerves of people in such a way that they can not live without seeing it . I do not know how the first corrupt looks, if i find him i will rather kill him , for starting something like this that is going to one day destroy the real meaning of trust and honesty. Even the honest and sincere guys are turning corrupt seeing the corrupt guys.
   The causes are quite simple:
   1.)Desire for more money
2.)Tempted corrupt due to family problems
   3.) less salary pay
4.)Influenced by his fellow colleagues who are corrupt.
All these reasons are quite simple. we people always think of one thing, money. If you ask a corrupt a question like this : "why do you do take bribe?", the answer would be like this " why should not i take when my friends are.." or else like this "dont you want me to earn more".Corruption today has got into the nerves and muscles of many people. The poverty is another reason why people turn corrupt. Let me give you some practical examples:
1.)You have a mistake in the certificate that the government has issued you, you have to pay some money to the officials for correcting the mistake they did. you can not avoid it because the certificate is very important. This is one example of corruption.
2.)Money has to spent in the name for bribe just for the getting a contract, you have to spend as you have competition for the project. This is one example of corruption.
3.)Any pension or else some need with with government, to get your things done you got to pay.
4.) The roots of corruption spread these days to even the delivery guys and post masters. The post man asks for money just because he is delivering my passport. The gas delivery boy asks for extra money for bringing the gas upstairs.Theses are all show the roots of corruption.

These images show were our country is in on the scale of corruption and the services were the corruption is at the largest extent.Somalia is the highest corrupt country followed by iraq, russia, thailand ,mexico and india. the less the index the more is the corruption.
Trust, honesty were are all these things gone. It is very rare finding a honest man today. "HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY", were is the saying today. By corruption we are playing havoc with the society. We are playing with the trusts of people. A sincere man always gets his respect, fame, trust and satisfaction. A corrupt never has a job satisfaction, he rather has tension of being caught. The days were people have lived for passion rather than money can not be seen. Leonardo Davanci ,sir. Issac Newton have done uncomman things for passion. They did things for perfection.I would rather ask the youth to take them as inspiration. We need to have guilt feeling to cheat our own job. The worst part is we are destroying our own country by corruption. Money can not be carried when we die, nor does the riches give us satisfaction. so if you want to live live like a life that can and will be remembered for our virtues for ever and ever. At least leave sincerely, honestly and do good.

Do you really think our country will be developed some day?, i really can not assure you until we eliminate corruption. I appreciate the government, for taking many proactive and preventive measures. We see daily see in the television that the anti corruption force catching a corrupt or two with a lot of proofs. Even though all this is happening, many people are still doing it. Desire has no end. I think one most follow these steps for a corruption free world.
1.)The biggest advice i can give is to stop giving and taking bribe.
2.)For school teachers, please teach children the ill effects of corruption
3.)lets all raise our voice againest corruption.

Do we really need religion?

2011-01-29T17:09:00.000+05:30

Every day we pray to god to give us food, shelter and what ever we really need. I think god hear`s our requests so things happen. What is religion then? . Religion is something a group of people believed , the way god exist and some customs accordingly.
There are lot of religions . For example Hinduism, Christianity e.t.c.. Surprising we found something called castes, that separated a group of people of the same religion from the others. In the beginning castes were formed on the basis of the work done by the person or family.
The Good In Nature and Humanity: Connecting Science, Religion, and Spirtiuality with the Natural World

Today things changed a lot. Castes feeling arises from the society we live in. Riots happened because of castes and religions. A lot of people lost their lives in all of these.
To my surprise THE BIBLE, THE GITA, THE QURAN all of them say almost the same things to be followed by a person. Now tell me do we need a religion?. My answer would be yes but, i say that the only soul religion that we have to follow is humanity. I remember a train collapse , many people were in danger and people came forward to help each other. This is what a real religion means, have your beliefs but do not hurt others beliefs. Forgot that we are of different backgrounds, communities and professions like the train incident and help each other. That is the real social religion that will save the earth. Then their will be no riots but, only brotherhood.

The religion "HUMANITY" is what god always desired from us. I have friends from different religions and castes, i respect their customs even though they are different. Every person is different because of his character, virtues e.t.c.. but, on a whole he is a human. Be live in god as you like, but do not disrespect or ill treat other religions .
