Last Sunday, we, three noobs photographer spend our evening in Taiping, Sepetang Charcoal factory taking photo. Initially we intended to take some landscape photo, lucky us that we bump up a couple taking their pre-wedding photograph at the same place.

We were given green light to join their photographers for the session: 2 guys with canon and one uncle with 2 D300, very rich uncle (o.0)”‘. This is also my first time that I full load my 4GB memory card photos. (0.0)”‘….Darn I start to fall in love with photographing…

Wesak Day. A trip to Rawang Buddha Temple on this auspicious day in the early morning for some photo shooting. The trip is about 48km from PJ and the temple has ample of parking space.  Everyone visited the temple headed to “大雄宝殿” to perform the buddha bathing ceremony.

Walking into the main hall, people line up for their turns to bath the Buddha. People from all walk of life like children, parent, students, the elderly, leng lui and leng zai. This event is mainly for the Chinese and Indians. So far never see any Malays, though.

 After bathing the Buddha, you will be given a yellow string that has been chanted to protect the wearer and give good luck. This yellow string is to be tied to your wrist. Besides, you will also be given a pack of sweets, why? I have no idea yet but I sure like them especially the kopiko

Inside the hall, no burning stuff is allowed. I like it as it makes the hall clean. You see people will pray with fruits or flowers.

I took the opportunity to bath the Buddha and pray for all my family members and friends are blessed with good health and everything in life goes smoothly as the wording crafted on the bell.

Below are some objects taken during the visit.

Recently have been window shopping around for D90 ever since the news from forums (like low yat forum, photokaki forum, etc) that Nikkon D90 has been going through a price cut where body + kitlense is selling at RM3300 - RM3400. Some giants photoshops (bintang maju) and small shops are still selling at RM3888. I do not why but those maybe trying get extra bit from those that does not do any research before buying a.k.a waiting for Water Fish. I found that Fotodata, The Gadgets in digital mall are selling at Rm3350, which is still quite reasonable. Becareful for those is trying to get this baby, that you must make sure the unit is warranty by Nikkon Malaysia (1 year) else it might be so call the “grey unit”.  There are a few shops that stating the price at RM3300, but was told no unit on hand and have to wait or order.

While you are reading this blog, my battery is under going charging for 8 hours before its first use while my D90 baby is waiting for my friend to take me out for shooting using his battery. Yes…I finally got Her from J-One camera shop in Amcorp Mall at RM 3300. This package comes with D90 body, 18-105mm kit lense, quick charge battery and charger, 4GB nikkon memory, and a nikkon bag and warranty from Nikkon Malaysia.Ok…this will continue after I am back from some shooting actino

改变很重要，但是不一定需要，因为没有人知道改变后会变得更好还是相反。

看个人的不满状态是否已经到了临界点，如果一直告诉自己“我受够了”那么就是时候采取一些行动了。

改变有三种挑战：

1. 不会
2. 不要
3. 不敢

人没有行动的其中一个原因，是因为“不知道”怎么做。缺乏“资料”是很容易解决的事。只要愿意去注意，寻找就会发现。问题是不是你不会，还是其他原因。

经常上课的人，如果没有改变，原因不是“不会”，很可能是“不要”！ 如果改变的动机不明确或意愿不够强的话，是很难主动的去行动；除非她遇到灾难，痛苦到了极限，才不得不去改变。有觉察的人，一旦发现自己进入“舒服环境”的时候，就要给自己适当的压力，再次改变！

得失心重的人，往往不愿意冒险，生活非常平稳，平稳到黯淡无光！人生更大的成就，往往都是来自我们安全范围以外的地方。 如果像经历生命的丰富， 请信任“内在的指引”。 内心时不时会给讯号，提醒你做适当的调整或改变，那时请别再“麻木不仁”了！尽管内心有挣扎，请准许自己带着害怕，尝试往前走吧！

JPJ roadtax sticker I think is a really total failure in design where consideration is never for the end user. It is so easy to stick to your wind screen but so hard to peel off when it has expired. The sticker will not able to properly removed and always leave a scare on your screen that make a nice expensive car look so ugly. If you try the hard way to use screw driver or sand paper to remove it, you will leave a deep scar on the screen. This is what happen to my car wind screen, until a clever girl teach me a smart way. You only need to use a lighter and a dam cloth. Make sure that cloth is going to throw away. Use the lighter and burn the plastic roadtax. A small part by small part,  the burn part will turn into black, once is black use the dam cloth and wipe it off.  Please take note, this technique is only work for wind screen without tinted. After the burn, you might find some black glue left when u wipe. Use the lighter and burn it again and wipe it again. I also find that after wipe the burn sticker, you can use a used tooth brush, apply some zip/cif to clean the wind screen, so it looks like brand new…

My previous post on downloading youtube movie (here) has trigger more questions from friends. Dear friends, you all are just really greedy :P. All of them asking almost the same question : Is it possible to convert flv file into other format like AVI or MPEG4 that can play on other devices?

Yes, you can. In matter of fact, it can simply achieve using the DownloadHelper plugin. It can also convert to other well known video and sound format. You people really are blessed with DownloaHelper, it now comes with its video converter. Still remember the litte arrow button beside the download button on the left top corner of the youtube movie? If you click on it, you can see there are nine options and one of them is the “download and convert”. This will be the guy we are looking for to do our job.

Ops…dont be so happy, that is just the interface. We need to configure the interface plugin to a realy converter. The good thing is that DownloadHelper also provide a free converter engine. The only thing is the converted movie will have the logo in the movie. You just need to buy the registeration key to remove that logo. I think it is reasonable with the free converter and you help them do some promotion :).  For the instructions to download and setup the converte, please go to here.
