It is believe that that a similar game to poker was invented first by the Chinese before A.D 969.when Mu-tsung emperor is reported that he played "domino card" on new years eve with his wife.

In the 17 & 18th centuries, A german game named (Pochen) and a French game (Poque) become both very popular, both games have developed from the Spanish game "Primero" which was invented in the 16th century.

Primero is a game which dates back to 1526, it's a so called "mother of poker" because it's the first confirmed version of a game that is related directly to the modern day poker.

How to Play Texas Hold'Em Poker

Before the game begins, each player contributes the same amount (the Ante) to the pot. At The Poker Practice, the ante is $250.
One player begins as the dealer. Each player is dealt two private pocket cards.
The player to the dealer's left begins the game by posting a small blind. The next player then posts a big blind. Blinds are forced bets;their amounts differ from game to game. At The Poker Practice, the small blind is $500;the big blind is $1000.
With the blinds posted, the game is open to betting. The first player may Fold (forfeit his hand and end his participation in the game), Call (match the minimum bet), Raise (bet more than the minimum bet), or go All-In (bet all of their chips).
Once everyone has chosen an action, the Flop of three community cards is drawn. The remaining players must begin the round of betting again, choosing to Fold, Call, Raise, or go All-In. The remaining players continue.
One more community card is then drawn in the Turn. The same betting process is repeated, and the remaining players continue.
In the final round, the River, the last community card is drawn. This is the last betting round of the game.
At the end of the game, the remaining players reveal their cards. The player with the highest hand is the winner. He receives the entire pot of all the bets made during the game.
Winning Hand Rankings in Texas Hold'Em
Straight Flush - Five cards of the same suit in consecutive order
Four of a Kind - Four cards of the same value
Full House - A combination of three of a kind and a pair
Flush - Any five cards of the same suit
Straight - Five cards in consecutive order, suit irrelevant
Three of a Kind - Three cards of the same value
Two Pair - Two sets of two cards of the same value
One Pair - Two cards of the same value
High Card - The one card with the highest value
When dealing with Texas Hold'Em rankings, there are a few tricky situations that can arise. Some of them occur frequently, so it's worth learning the official rules to properly deal with them.
If two players win in the same category, the player with the highest card wins. That is, if two players have a Straight, but one begins with a King and one with a Nine, the player with the King wins. The same strategy follows if two players have Three of a Kind, Two Pair, and One Pair. The player with three (or two or one) Kings will beat the player with three (or two or one) Nines.
Sometimes two players have the exact same hand, like a pair of Sevens. In this situation, players look to the higher card outside of this pair of Sevens to determine who wins. To do this, players find the five highest cards on the table, including the players' pocket cards and the community cards. The winning card combination must always be included in these five.
Imagine that the community cards are a Jack, Ten, Seven, Four, and Two. Each player has a Seven in their pocket cards. The first player is also holding a Queen and the second player a Nine. The five highest cards on the table, in value order, are a Queen, Jack, and the three Sevens. The player holding the Queen wins. The high card that tips a win, in this case the Queen, is also known as the Kicker.
Let's try a slightly different scenario. Instead of a Queen, the first player has a Six;the second player still has a Nine. The highest cards are now a Jack, Ten, and the three Sevens. In this case, the pot splits evenly between the players because the highest card on the table, a Jack, is a community card. The pocket cards are irrelevant because only the five high cards can be taken into consideration.
If both players have the same pocket cards, such as a Seven and Queen, the pot would also split evenly. With uneven pots, payouts commence from the dealer's left.

10 Ways to Be Happier

How happy are you―really? If there’s room for improvement, try one of these suggestions.

A few years ago, on a morning like any other, I had a sudden realization: I was in danger of wasting my life. As I stared out the rain-spattered window of a New York City bus, I saw that the years were slipping by.

“What do I want from life?” I asked myself. “Well…I want to be happy.” I had many reasons to be happy: My husband was the tall, dark, handsome love of my life; we had two delightful girls; I was a writer, living in my favorite city. I had friends; I had my health; I didn’t have to color my hair. But too often I sniped at my husband or the drugstore clerk. I felt dejected after even a minor professional setback. I lost my temper easily. Is that how a happy person would act?

I decided on the spot to begin a systematic study of happiness. (A little intense, I know. But that’s the kind of thing that appeals to me.) In the end, I spent a year test-driving the wisdom of the ages, current scientific studies, and tips from popular culture. If I followed all the advice, I wanted to know, would it work?

Well, the year is over, and I can say: It did. I made myself happier. And along the way I learned a lot about how to be happier. Here are those lessons.

1. Don’t start with profundities. When I began my Happiness Project, I realized pretty quickly that, rather than jumping in with lengthy daily meditation or answering deep questions of self-identity, I should start with the basics, like going to sleep at a decent hour and not letting myself get too hungry. Science backs this up; these two factors have a big impact on happiness.

2. Do let the sun go down on anger. I had always scrupulously aired every irritation as soon as possible, to make sure I vented all bad feelings before bedtime. Studies show, however, that the notion of anger catharsis is poppycock. Expressing anger related to minor, fleeting annoyances just amplifies bad feelings, while not expressing anger often allows it to dissipate.

3. Fake it till you feel it. Feelings follow actions. If I’m feeling low, I deliberately act cheery, and I find myself actually feeling happier. If I’m feeling angry at someone, I do something thoughtful for her and my feelings toward her soften. This strategy is uncannily effective.

4. Realize that anything worth doing is worth doing badly. Challenge and novelty are key elements of happiness. The brain is stimulated by surprise, and successfully dealing with an unexpected situation gives a powerful sense of satisfaction. People who do new things―learn a game, travel to unfamiliar places―are happier than people who stick to familiar activities that they already do well. I often remind myself to “Enjoy the fun of failure” and tackle some daunting goal.

5. Don’t treat the blues with a “treat.” Often the things I choose as “treats” aren’t good for me. The pleasure lasts a minute, but then feelings of guilt and loss of control and other negative consequences deepen the lousiness of the day. While it’s easy to think, I’ll feel good after I have a few glasses of wine…a pint of ice cream…a cigarette…a new pair of jeans, it’s worth pausing to ask whether this will truly make things better.

6. Buy some happiness. Our basic psychological needs include feeling loved, secure, and good at what we do. You also want to have a sense of control. Money doesn’t automatically fill these requirements, but it sure can help. I’ve learned to look for ways to spend money to stay in closer contact with my family and friends; to promote my health; to work more efficiently; to eliminate sources of irritation and marital conflict; to support important causes; and to have enlarging experiences. For example, when my sister got married, I splurged on a better digital camera. It was expensive, but it gave me a lot of happiness.

7. Don’t insist on the best. There are two types of decision makers.Satisficers (yes, satisficers) make a decision once their criteria are met. When they find the hotel or the pasta sauce that has the qualities they want, they’re satisfied. Maximizers want to make the best possible decision. Even if they see a bicycle or a backpack that meets their requirements, they can’t make a decision until they’ve examined every option. Satisficers tend to be happier than maximizers. Maximizers expend more time and energy reaching decisions, and they’re often anxious about their choices. Sometimes good enough is good enough.

8. Exercise to boost energy. I knew, intellectually, that this worked, but how often have I told myself, “I’m just too tired to go to the gym”? Exercise is one of the most dependable mood-boosters. Even a 10-minute walk can brighten my outlook.

9. Stop nagging. I knew my nagging wasn’t working particularly well, but I figured that if I stopped, my husband would never do a thing around the house. Wrong. If anything, more work got done. Plus, I got a surprisingly big happiness boost from quitting nagging. I hadn’t realized how shrewish and angry I had felt as a result of speaking like that. I replaced nagging with the following persuasive tools: wordless hints (for example, leaving a new lightbulb on the counter); using just one word (saying “Milk!” instead of talking on and on); not insisting that something be done on my schedule; and, most effective of all, doing a task myself. Why did I get to set the assignments?

10. Take action. Some people assume happiness is mostly a matter of inborn temperament: You’re born an Eeyore or a Tigger, and that’s that. Although it’s true that genetics play a big role, about 40 percent of your happiness level is within your control. Taking time to reflect, and making conscious steps to make your life happier, really does work. So use these tips to start your own Happiness Project. I promise it won’t take you a whole year.

Adding a MP3 Player to your Blog

With Google Gadget, you can easily add a MP3 Player to your blog. I have added one at the bottom of the right sidebar in this blog Recreation and Sport. All I have to do is to go to Google Gadget, choose "MP3 Player", click "Add to your webpage" and will be taken to the page Add this gadget to your webpage. You can set, title, the height and width of the MP3 Player. A default URL of a song is already added for you. If you have your own song hosted somewhere, all you have to do is to replace the URL of the default song with the URL of your own song.

In the case of the above blog, a check of the template revealed this:

That is, the width of the sidebar is 260 pixels. I thus set the width of the MP3 Player to 255 (see screenshot below):

I then click "Get the Code", copy the code generated, go to the template Layout, click "Add a Page Element" in the right sidebar section, choose HTML/Javascrip in the pop-up, pasted the code into the window and saved, then drag the new Page Element to the bottom of the right sidebar section.

To play the music, all one has to do is to click on the pink button.

An Appeal to all Citizens of the World

As citizens of our individual countries, we at times become extremely frustrated by the policies of our governments that we deem unjust. We oftentimes feel powerless to change them as more and more of the governments and the politicians who run them become increasingly subservient to global corporate and banking interests. There is, however, one powerful weapon that if utilized collectively can accomplish far greater positive change than marches, protests and demonstrations. The weapon is the boycott of well targeted products. Mexican-American labor leader Cesar Chavez utilized this weapon with great success against the greedy grape growers of Alta California and managed to win many concessions for the exploited farmworkers. The boycott of grapes would not have been successful, however, if the world community did not support it.

Today, as the world community begins to see evidence of the barbaric massacre of Palestinians that took place in Jenin by the Butcher Ariel Sharon and his murderous Zionist Army, one is compelled to just and moral action. Here in Aztlan, we have become extremely frustrated at President George Bush and his inability or unwillingness to stop the horrible slaughter that is occurring in the Holy Land and that may culminate in the genocide of the Palestinian people. We individually have the power of choice to buy one product over another or to simply forgo a purchase entirely. If more and more people around the world do the same, the pressure will become powerful enough to force a positive change. We each can also help by asking our family members and friends to do the same.

Below are products and brands of corporations and businesses that are helping Ariel Sharon and Zionist Israel to continue their racist apartheid policies and illegal occupation of Palestinian lands. We are asking you to boycott these products. The products and brands have been well researched. Each of the companies have ties to Israel and support their policies against the Palestinian people. As an example, Estée Lauder's chairman, Ronald Lauder, served as the Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and is the current President of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) - a quasi-governmental agency whose main function is to legitimize Israeli occupation of Palestinian land. Ronald Lauder is a hardcore Zionist and his views are often more extreme then those of the Israeli government.

KIMBERLY-CLARK
In 1998 Mr. Robert P. Van der Merwe, chairman of Kimberly-Clark Europe received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is the highest tribute ever awarded by the "State of Israel" in recognition of those individuals and organizations, that through their investments and trade relationships, have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy.

COCA-COLA
From 1966 onward Coca-Cola has been a staunch supporter of Israel. Recently the Government of Israel Economic Mission honored Coca-Cola at the Israel Trade Award Dinner for its continued support of Israel for the last 30 years and for refusing to abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel.

NESTLE
Swiss food giant Nestle will set up a global research and development center for snack foods next year in Sderot, a town in Israel's Negev desert, the Maariv newspaper reported on Sunday. Nestle owns 50.1 percent of Israeli food maker Osem Investments and the two together produce snack foods at a plant in Sderot.

INTEL
Intel is one of the biggest supporters of Israel. Their very first development center outside the US was opened in Haifa in 1974. Since then they have continued pouring investment in to Israel. By year 2000 they employed over 4000 Israelis. Exports from their Lachish-Qiryat Gat plant in israel total $3 million a day at peak capacity - approximately $ 1 billion a year. The Intel plant at "Qiryat Gat" is built on land Israel confiscated from the Palestinian villages of Iraq al Manshiya. Iraq al Manshiya was a village of 2000 people living in 300 houses with two mosques and one school. The original Palestinian inhabitants were terrorized out of the village and then the whole village was razed to the ground to prepare the way for the new Israeli settlement of Qiryat Gat. Today the remaining population from Iraq al Manshiya is still not allowed to return.

The news and commentaries made through Michael Eisner's media octopus are extremely Islamophobic and anti-Palestinian.

Lady : Why do you like me..? Why do you love me?

Man : I can t tell the reason.. but I really like you..

Lady : You can t even tell me the reason… how can you say you like me? How can you say you love me?

Man : I really don t know the reason, but I can prove that I love U.

Lady : Proof? No! I want you to tell me the reason. My friend's boyfriend can tell her why he loves her but not you!

Man : Ok..ok!!! Erm… because you are beautiful,

Because you are caring,

Because you are thoughtful,

Because of your smile,

The lady felt very satisfied with the man's answer.

Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident and went in comma.

Ladies and Dudies, thanks for ready my blog... just wanted to share my happines with ya guyz... guess what... Yah I've Found My Dream Girl....

She has the characters i mentioned in one of my previous post. Seriously she is the best thing happened in my life... I never thought i cud get such a lovely, caring, sharin and cute girl....

I met her through my FB, she said "Hi" and we started this journy of life then.... Before even i had a girl, but never was this Happy.

I feel like my "New" girl is my soul Mate. Feels like that she is my angel.... I bet none of u wud get a perfect girl than she [FONI VEFA :P]

Hope u guyz arre happy about my life...
