Thanks! On reflection, I may have been too conservative with my pace last year as I had never done 40km on a bike prior to last year's event.

=) That's why I said "supposedly inferior". Oh, didn't know he has a foldie too. Mine is quite efficient. Not sure about the physics of it, but it's apparently got to do with the gears. I've tried plenty of full-size rental bikes which made me work harder to go the same distance.

The only thing is that the foldie is for roads (or pavements, if I want to be illegal), so can't ride it on Ubin or other off-road places.

Ah, I didn't manage to catch the first episode. In fact, I think I was blogging about the show while it was on!

Yes, I'm definitely going to watch the 3rd and 7th episodes.

Was wondering what Geotacs means, then I went to your blog and saw "Go Observe Explore Think Appreciate Click Share".

Nice!

I am the neighbour of this house.Infact the owner went back to England when the land was acquired by the govenment for new development. That is already more than 16years ago. Similarly, same to us.I grew up in this area and ofcourse know much of the story. The owner most of the time is not in singapore beforethe land was was acquired by the gov. It leave it to it housekeeper to take care of the house,yard,horses(2nos)etc... The owner is a lawyer and i believed singapore is just it place to enjoyed his time and get away from his work. There's a bridge infront the house which goes out all the way to the sea. Most of the time you will see him walking with his dogs and enjoying the sun set..

Am going for this walk tomorrow and am glad I came across your blog cuz the NPark and STB sites weren't so clear. Jot down all the things to look out for and guess as you said, it's okay to get lost so will bear that in mind! Planning on skipping the Clementi Woods and NUS park this round though. Alrighty, wish me luck :o)

Thanks for highlighting that because the Eurasian Association's website doesn't mention its existence at all, besides the WWII exhibition. Why isn't it highlighted more prominently?

Kristang, yes, sadly I am one of those who can't speak it... The ladies seem to keep it going though. Great for having a private conversation in Singapore, I guess!
