New drummer Osckar will play at Hellfest!!

After long consideration, AVULSED has finally decided to officially present new drummer Osckar Bravo at Hellfest, being this the best possible opportunity to show all our fans the capabilities of our new band mate.

There was an initial chance that Riky (ex-drummer) would play at Hellfest in case that we didn’t have a drummer ready for it, for which we’re very grateful, but since the adaptation of Osckar has been nothing but excellent, the band feels ready to face the challenge of having his official debut at such big event.

In the meantime, AVULSED has been confirmed to perform as headliners on the next edition of the REPULSION Fest. which will take place in Sevilla (Spain) on 29th of September along with bands like EXTIRPATING THE INFECTED, NO FATE, PURULENT NECROPSYS and DIGGING YOUR TOMB.

The four-piece was originally formed in 1992. A year later, the band released their first 12” EP “Ephemeral Cerebral Butchery”. Several demos, EPs and split CDs followed, leading to the release of their debut album “Zero” in the summer of 1999 through Noise Variations.
Within the following years, MASTIC SCUM released their albums “Scar” (Cudgel Agency, 2002), “Mind” (Cudgel Agency, 2005) and the latest album “Dust” (Twilight Rec., 2009), which was nominated for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award in 2010.
The band has already played a lot of club and festival shows in Europe, Asia and the US, joining Marduk and Vader at their “Funeral Nation Tour” through Europe in early 2010, for examle!
There were a few line-up changes in the past years and when Alex joined vocalist Maggo, guitarist Harry and drummer Man in spring 2010 as bassist, MASTIC SCUM were stronger than ever!

The band’s currently working on their fifth studio album, which is scheduled to be released in fall 2012!

KARST [Orchestra Miskolc], the Hungary-based extreme rock band have released its first music video called SÓVÁR (means EAGER or SALT CASTLE in English).
As commented by the band: “The video is totally self-produced. We did everything from shooting to directing and editing – with the kind help of our friends.”

Houwitser is looking for a new bass player. Ramon Ploeg, who been with the band for 5 years, has decided to leave Houwitser. Ramon: “I can’t combine the band with my jobs anymore. Italian death metal band HOUR OF PENANCE have announced “Sedition” as the title of their Prosthetic Records’ debut, and fifth album overall. “Sedition” will be released March 27 in North America, April 2 in the UK and April 6 in mainland Europe. The album was recorded at Cellar Studio in Rome with producer Stefano Morabito and is the follow up to 2010′s acclaimed “Paradogma” (Unique Leader), which Decibel described as:

“a bludgeoning slab of death metal in the Morbid Angel/Immolation vein…surprisingly catchy machine-gun riffs, blasting drum patterns and the occasional nod to grindcore brethren Nasum and Napalm Death. Gleefully damned…planet-cracking intensity. 9/10.”

The band will hit North American shores for the first time the week of release, to support The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile and Skeletonwitch on a full U.S. tour, which includes a stop at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. The extreme, progressive Norwegian metal band Ram-Zet reached an agreement with Buil2Kill Records/Nadir Music for the release of their next album called “Freaks in Wonderland”.
