Sukan Orang Pekak Malaysia ke-17 pada 1 - 6 April 2012

SOPMA/ MSDeaf mempunyai dua peranan utama dalam pembangunan dan penggalakan sukan pekak di Malaysia. Peranan-peranan merupakan komitmen terhadap sukan pekak dalam negara dan komitmen terhadap sukan pekak antarabangsa. Mereka bertanggungjawab untuk megambil bahagian yang aktif dalam pertandingan sukan pekak antarabangsa yang diiktirafkan oleh International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (CISS). Pertandingan-pertandingan itu termasuk Sukan Deaflympics Musim Panas dan Sukan Pekak Asia Pasifik.

SOPMA/ MSDeaf juga memain peranan dalam pemilihan para atlit pekak untuk mewakili negara, merestui latihan yang dijalankan oleh bakal ahli gabungan masing-masing dan membantu dalam penghantaran para atlit pekak untuk bertanding di peringkat luar negara.

Berita baik! Mereka akan mengadakan pertandingan 'Sukan Orang Pekak Malaysia' untuk kamu semua di Malaysia! Banyak atlit pekak dari negeri-negeri lain akan berkumpul di University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Mereka mempunyai peluang untuk menbaiki kemahiran dan membina jasa diri untuk setiap negeri sendiri. Ia membuka para atlit pekak mendapat bakat dan kuat bersaing dalam bidang sukan di Malaysia.

Review on the Pre-Marriage Workshop for Deaf on last May, 2010

Lucy invited me to attend the Pre-Marriage Workshop through an email. So, I reviewed this about what we learned from this workshop. It can help to increase the deaf awareness about Deaf marriage. All of you sure want to know what are about the marriage and what to do with this workshop when we attend this workshop, right? I heard from my best friend about many Deaf parent get to divorce each other, due to their issues such as mature not enough, financial money, or abuse, love problem, not comfortable with a partner's lifestyle, stress works, lack trust & love and many...

That is why they prepare to educate the singles, couples, engaged couples and newlyweds in the skills, habits, attitudes, and enrichment techniques that research shows lead to happy, enduring marriages.

According to the marriage research, many partner get happy and found a right guy/woman in their 2rd marriage after divorce with 1st partner on first time. Why? They learn the mistake from their past marriage...

Do you ever worry about divorce and will break up with your partner? You may be aware a problem exists between you and your partner because you have chosen to be committed to each other, want to resolve it before you marry...

During this workshop, we got the opportunity to identify how:

Understanding and strong communication skills
resolve misunderstanding and conflict
Identify and build on your relationship strengths
Understand about the religion's marriages
Explore what is TRUE Love?
Personality issues
Financial management
Role relationship between husband and wife

If they want to stay together, they need to build the trust back up in the relationship and many ways which can lighten their problem. They need to explore the reasons to discuss about their issues.

They can learn each other when they can plan ways to manage money, your household, balancing work and togetherness, and dealing with possible intrusive family members and friends. Eg. the husband and wife can help each other to reduce stress in a house. From the marriage research - modern days now, why a husband love to help wife do the household, such as like cooking or clean house? Because the husbands believe that it can help to make them get long -lived and can low the blood pressure of heart. And it can lead to you grow together with happy marriage.

I think that Session 2: Getting to know you that are very laughable and funny, so it is fun to learn about our identify of personality! My friends and I enjoy to play this game personality about four animals; lion, otter, beaver, and golden retriver dog.You sure know that what is this meaning behind the animals' personality? :D After we explored our personality, I am Otter! because I am creative, enjoyed to change, friendly, energetic and fun-loving person! We also enjoyed to learn about our friends' personality with jokes! Both partners need to see & know more about themselves. What about you?

It make both partner realise what are their personality and feel comfortable each other. They can share different or same interest in their life. Eg. In their lifestyle, a guy learn what she like, he can share with her. A girl will like his food when she try to eat his favorite food. Until they like each other if they learn more about their personal interest. Maybe? But, its good to know what thing that a partner don't like! Haha!

For me, this workshop are very educational and fun! We don't get boring while they try their best to give their session. They also answer the participators' question. Sometimes, we also joke each other and give our funny & stupid question! And I learned new things, eg. Hindu's marriage about believing same souls can meet each again in present and past...

More fun about the Session 6: Remember It's good to talk. It helps you communicate better in your marriage. Communication is extremely important to build good relationship. It make you understand each other’s views on marriage and family. Funny, they asked the question about what are you doing with your partner when you both dating or couple always go together...! The participants also give different of answers...and sometimes joke...Maybe they are shy? :P

For me okay but sometimes I was so sleepy and bored little in the workshop of 2 days because there is little activity related to the title only...But, I prefer learning about Session 2: Getting to know you, Session 3: Finance and The family and Session 6: Remember It's good to talk!" - RL

From this workshop, we learned the interesting topics and we know that the communicate is very important that help you both can understand each other, you all try to make good solution, for example, you both can make the family of discussion meeting. Many deaf people are curious to ask the question about a Deaf can dating with a hearing guy/girl or not?

What are Deaf people doing during Happy Valentine's Day ♥?

Deaf couples and friends enjoyed to chatting and watching the movies together!
Deaf people will want to bring their daugther/son, family, best friends, girlfriend, or boyfriend, they will go to the famous shopping malls like MidValley, Pavilion, KLCC, and many in Malaysia - here.
Deaf people buy the expensive gifts for their loved one.
Deaf person can bring their girlfriend/boyfriend with their family. Their family sure will be happy and maybe interested in them!

Have you think a question about how to make someone which you interested that can love you?

To form a best friendship so deeply or you can make someone to fell love on you. If you like someone, but someone don't like you. How? So, you need to make your own chances that someone will like you? You must know that every person is different than you. NOT same as you. You just like yourself, don't hide your personalities and interest, don't talk about your past/pitiful of experience. You think make someone will pity you when he/she listens everything from your past life? NO! Because she/ he lose interest into you so quickly!

Here are 7 strategies to keep in your mind:

1. Smile. Everytime, you show your smile to someone you like in your life. Don't show your emotion, such as you not happy, not like what someone doing to you, and ingore what someone says. You always smile to your guy/girl. They will smile back to you too! This show you attracted each other!

2. Build up your self-confidence. Accept your mistakes and liking yourself gives you power and strength, mean respect someone you like. You always show your care to her/him. Be patient when you listen from her/him when you are with someone you interested in. Just share yourself with her/him!

3. Be easily impressed, inspired, and interested by someone you like. For example, you also can admire with her/him to doing the great job, or encourge and support her/him to do what they like. You keep to praise your friends and girlfriend/boyfriend. *Remember, do not look low on others.

4. Positive Thinking and Be open-minded. This make goes a long way in getting what you want to share with her/him and to get to know what it will be and feel like when that happens to her/him. *Don't show negative thinking to someone you interested in, not happy with you!

5. Be needy. You always let her/him when you are available or need by them when they are free. If you managed to spend alot time with them on many times, you’re highly needed by them, mean your chance of attraction will be increase! *Do not say,"you always busy" to make someone you like, maybe will be sad and forget you!

6. Programming her/his subconscious mind. You also keep to talk to him/her about how great you are than the others, or what they do the better your chances of having a place in his/her mind. You also can give the advice to them. That is why you don't need to text-messaging/email/ call your partner to say hello on everyday, as that would be chasing his/her conscious mind to get you! This mean someone always think about you after you share alot of happiness and spend alot of time with someone you like. *Remember, You both can text-messaging or call each other when you both like each other only.

7. Make your partner comfortable. If they are the shy type, it may take more effort and patient time to make them to open up and relax with you, mean you can open your door to accept someone you like! Listening is a very important people skill to have.

You will see your friendship turn into the romantic. Either way, the one thing you should do is actively take him up on his offer of friendship in spite of your deeper feelings. :) Take alot of time to develop this friendship change to the relationship of LOVE. Haha!

Last year, I wrote about an information of Korean movie, The Crucible here. Many Deaf Malaysians always asked me about where to watch this movie! They love to watch this!

Since this movie called "Silenced" or "The Crucible" released out in South Korea on last Sept 22, 2011, It's really shocked about this movie watched by more than 4 million people! After a week, it become a top of box offices in the South Korea! Read more at Selina's Wing blog.

Summary - Based off the novel 'Dokani' - The Crucible tells the truth story about Gang In-ho (Gong Yoo), who is working to earn money for his daughter’s surgery, is appointed to a school for hearing-impaired children in Gwangju. But what he discovers there is an ugly truth: the children are being physically and sexually abused by their teachers. When he decides to fight for the children’s rights and expose the crimes being committed at the school, In-ho teams up with human rights activist Seo Yu-jin (Jeong Yu-mi). But he and Yu-jin soon realize the school’s principal and teachers, and even the police, prosecutors and churches in the community are actually trying to cover up the truth...

It is very good emotional and touching movie! Never think about they brave to expose these deep, dark secrets of a Deaf school. It is not easy to get the proof and face more challenges when they take path to save the children! This awarenesses open your eyes and support the Deaf victims who scare and got trauma experience in their life. It's not good to blame Deaf victims because they don't know what's wrong and still afraid to face Deaf community.

The Silent Friendship between Deaf and Hearing person

Have you thinking about Deaf and Hearing person can become great friends? Yes, we can! What are their feeling when they make new friend on first time? Remember, Communication is very important for the relationship between Deaf and Hearing person.

When I watched this youtube, it reminds me about my hearing friends who close with me! Then I miss my hearing friends! :D After I graduated at my university, I still contact with my best friends! I am really happy when they still can remember the sign language since my hearing friends and I met again! They told me that it's no way to forget the sign language because I am their good friend!

First, how to make new friend with Deaf if you found out about him/her is Deaf?

If you want to get a Deaf person's attention , try to touch on the shoulder because it is a good place to touch someone you don't know well. Or you make eye contact with a Deaf person, just smile to him/her.
Use a pen/paper or show the text messaging on the mobile phone or notebook on iPad to communicate with a Deaf friend to get know each other.
Do not afraid to ask a Deaf friend to teach you the sign language, he/she also happy to teach you.
You better to use the sign language to communicate with a Deaf person than the reading on lips, because the Deaf friend sure are very happy and get surprised when you show the sign language to them! They not always read on the lip-reading on every time.
Spending some time with her / him is very fun. For example, you try to join in Deaf group to watch movie, chatting with Deaf friend, play games with them, invite your Deaf friend to go out and etc.
Participate or be volunteer for Deaf events and activities. Deaf people have Deaf clubs and organizations that cover a wide range of activities. This is a great way to meet deaf people who share your interests.

There are few tips to be good friend with a Deaf person:

A good friend will always help in improving you, so you no need to worry if your sign language is wrong. You and Deaf friend can work together and help each other.
Be patient when Deaf person take some time to write on paper with a pen with you on first time.
Buy a sign language book or video. And take a class to learn the sign language.
Keep in touch with Deaf friend, make they comfortable and like go out with you!

Last week, I wrote a review about DIB Coffees of Hawaii Cafe in my blog, Deaf Boleh! Malaysia.

Wow, DIB Coffees of Hawaii Cafe be featured in a big cover of Star2 Sunday and got double pages! My Deaf friends also working as DIB staffs, they are lucky to get in the newspaper! They are very happy and proud!

I was invited by Dr Allen Teh to attend the Launch @ DIB Coffees of Hawaii Cafe on 2 January 2012. My daddy and sister want to join me and my deaf friend, Woan Koon to eat the breakfast there. I thought some Deaf come early than us...! When we reached there, I am become 1st Deaf custromer of DIB Coffees of Hawaii Cafe on my first time!! Cool~

DIB Coffees of Hawaii is 1st Deaf Gourmet Hawaiian Coffee in Malaysia. Some Deaf staffs are very hardworking and trained to become Deaf Barista. First time, they are doing the Latte Art on coffee! If you want to taste their coffee, you can order from them, then they will do Latte Art for you!

You better to try different taste of coffees which imported by Hawaii! First time, my friend and I drink Hawaiian Herbal Tea and Cappuccino Coffee. The Sunflower and Cranberry Walnut Buns are very delicious!

If you are hearing, how you order something to a Deaf staff? Do not worry, you will provided the order paper and a pencil, like Papa Rich. You can learn new sign language when you make an order too.

We ordered the breakfast set, RM 6.50 only. You can choose sandwich or bun or pastry with coffee or hawaiian herbal tea. If you want to drink Cappuccino Coffee, add RM 2 only.

The breads and buns always change on every week. So, you can come to taste different bun again. When lunch time, the pumpkin soup and bun will be prepare for you all.

My friend and I explored around DIB Coffees of Hawaii Cafe.Wow, my deaf friend, Lim Anuar also draw a big Mural on the walls! He told me that all Mural are not complete because he are very busy. He is really good at painting. Last time, I did Mural b4 so, it is not easy to draw on a wall...!

You try one of cheesecakes too. There are Passion Fruit Cheesecake, Blue Hawaiian Cheesecake, Kona Coffee Cheesecake, Lemon Cheesecake and others. I don't try one because I don't like to eat cheese. but, next time I will try one when I come to DIB Coffees of Hawaii! If you love cheese, sure the hawaiian cheesecake are very delicious!

Yummy! Deaf staffs are doing a very good job to do service, they gave their best to make everything's okay. They also give a smile to us too! I got a 'Thank you' gift when I pay a bill~ They signed, "Thank you very much!" and "See you again!" to me and my deaf friend.

Deaf couple love Proton from QISZAN

Qiszan's dad interested in PROTON contest http://www.protonvip.com when he watched a TV. He asked Qiszan to help him, then they are willing to sacrifice time to do short video for the competition , "I LOVE PROTON" in the shortest period of time.

Walau apa pun kereta saya mengalami kegatalan sehingga lubang dan kulit menjadi kulat, namun ianya sanggup bersabar, berkorban dan memahami keadaan dengan saya dan isteri saya sebagai warga emas yang disegani, di samping itu ekonomi saya bekerja sebagai tukang cat yang bebas (freelance) tidak mampu memulihkannya kerana saya amat memerlukannya untuk membawa isteri saya yang menghidapi penyakit darah tinggi, strok dan diabetes selama lebih 10 tahun. Saya berfikir bahawa apakah saya akan memberi hadiah istimewa kepadanya sebagai jasa terbesar dibalas untuk harijadinya ke 20 pada tahun depan tetapi saya tidak mampu memberi rawatan penyakitnya, perkara ini menyedihkan hati saya kerana saya amat menyayangi kereta Proton saya."

Denis Lee Lai, Deaf Malaysian who love baking

When bakery franchisee Gary Iverson interviewed Denis Lee Lai for a Bakers Delight apprenticeship, he soon discovered the 38-year-old Malaysian had the necessary skills and determination he was looking for.
The fact Lai is deaf was never a barrier.

One of the amazing things I learnt about Denis was that he was a cook in Malaysia and when the restaurant he worked in shut, it became a disco and he became the DJ, which is pretty impressive for a deaf person," Iverson says. "Denis communicates with most people very well. The challenge for us at the start was to make sure the rest of the staff were prepared to slow down the way they communicated with him, which they did.

Lai, who has now completed 18 months of his three-year apprenticeship, says he loves baking, despite the 3am starts. "The first few months were hard," he says. Now it's OK and working early means I can go home early and get to spend more time at home." Lai says he has acquired new skills including dough making, baking, stocktaking, stock control and ordering.

Jason Locke, a baker with 13 years experience, who works with Lai in Melbourne, says only a few changes had to be made. "Our ovens are run on (audible) timers so we've installed lights so he can see when the bread needs to come out. We also use a white board to document procedures and schedules.- Locke says. Sarina Russo Apprenticeship Services helped organise the apprenticeship, including setting up the training contract and accessing Disabled Australian Apprentice Wage Support. Sarina Russo Apprenticeship Services spokesman Robert Thompson says the government allowance is tied to the employee to offset expenses incurred by the employer.

The group continues to monitor Lai's progress, making follow-up visits and calls. Locke says Lee has thrived in the new job. "Denis can lip read so as long as I look at him, its just like communicating with anyone else," he says. Lai says a career as a baker will suit those who like working with food, have good attention to detail, and are willing to learn on the job.

You noticed a guy with orange cloth who help a kid, then a kid go help aold lady, then go to others.... until a guy with orange cloth get the good help or lucky from a waiters! He is really happy and felt lucky! It's like CYCLE LIFE of helping the others!

"Give because you want to give. Share because you want to share. Help because you want to help. Love because you want to love. You will get thanks from others"

Every time, we can do good to others and light up a smile on their face. So, you will be happy when you see a smile on your friend's or stranger's face. You will get a happy and smile from others, correct?

The SilentSHOUT's Sneak Preview - Josephine, Deaf Malaysian actress from Eyefinger

First time, Josephine experienced her acting in the short film, Eyefinger in 2008. Her director and team invited her to join their project to do shooting. She sure happy to love acting! Eyefinger is a story about a deaf woman who experiences post emotional after son's death.

Occasionally, fiction is more convincing and real than documentary. And sometimes short is more effective than long. A married couple with a large and unspoken loss. Even if they did have words for it, they still couldn't have spoken. They speak with their hands and fingers. Even in difficult conversations. Because it's all they can do." - Joonloo Studio - Margaret Bong, Director.

This is good story to make Deaf person experienced to see his/her loved one's death... Deaf keep to be silent and never say anything about death?

I miss the silentSHOUT Short Film Festival 2011 because my family and I went on my long-oversea trip so I cannot attend this festival. We got the information about the Sneak Preview - they bring Josephine to share her acting experience in 'Eyefinger', a short film directed by Margaret Bong in 2008. Margaret Bong and Chen Yih Wen (BMW Shorties 2010 winner) were also the forum panelists on that day, moderated by Kareem Koh.

“The other challenge that I felt was how to translate English sentences into Sign Language. Again like I said, we didn’t want it to be in verbatim and we have a deaf linguist, Koon Wei and she was there to help me to translate many of the sentences so that it makes sense in sign language, and then we taught Walter, a FOD (friend of deaf) guy - the main actor, and then we had a couple of full rehearsals, we had discussion, and we tried different emotions we want to be using in the film; sad, anger…...There were several attempts, but we always be positive, we enjoyed working with Margaret. And asking me to cry was very difficult; how do I become angry, how do I really throw out my emotion, I just cannot. The tears just run out, so I wondered what should I do and then that time I was lucky because, at that time when we were filming, somebody was smoking away the Aedes environment, then I have these tears in my eyes, I was so natural and I am so happy. And I knew the crew were laughing when it happened. That was a very good experience for us and after that it went well."

Margaret (director): “Something to add here, actually it was a surprise shot. When we rolled the camera, before I rolled the camera, that's my first shoot, I told Josephine "don’t blink your eyes", so she opened her eyes wide and big! And that time the government department came at the area, had this Aedes spray, so there was smoke get in the house. Well it was supposed to 'cut'! But I realized there's tears coming out (from Josephine), so I said "roll the camera, don't stop, roll! roll! roll! for few seconds, and we got the shot and used it for the film. And actually it was a surprise during the production. Thank you Josephine.”

Welcome to silentSHOUT! The silentSHOUT is a social enterprise in its infancy, working together with Deaf and Hearing community on empowerment, and bridge the gap between Deaf and Hearing community. Our mission is "to INSPIRE and ENGAGE PEOPLE to CREATE and INNOVATE to GROW"

They provided 1st workshop, Short Film Making for Deaf Malaysians on last 24 and 25 June 2011 and 2nd workshop on 8 and 9 October 2011 before they make new short film competition in July 2011. Many Deaf and Hearing participants joined to learn more from the workshops - Short Film Making! They are enjoyed to work together to make new short film! Good job, silentSHOUT!

Today, silentSHOUT announced 1st Deaf Film Festival 2011 and they make Deaf Malaysian's dream become true on first time! Many Deaf loves to make their own video by themselves! That is why they are very happy!

DC Treasure Hunt Games by Deaf Club, Pusat Majudiri 'Y' for the Deaf, YMCA Kuala Lumpur

Do you wish to become 'Indiana Jones' or 'Pirate' or 'Detective' when you and your friends are looking new treasure which are hidden in the mystery place which we never know..?

DC Treasure Hunt Games also happened on 20 November 2011, Sunday. There are some Deaf and Hearing participants who joined in this games! Each team need to solve the 'Clues' at the location where the next challenge which they will found.... And a team will often travel all around Brickfields areas which confirmed by Deaf Club, Pusat Majudiri 'Y', YMCA.

5 Deaf members or non-members must join in a team, and required to bring a bring a camera for 'treasure hunt' activities. They given a time to find the challenge clues, make it a race to see who can complete it first! So, it sure be be a lot of fun for each group have 5 members only.

It help to improve your skill 'leadership' and 'teamwork' in your treasure hunting experience. They are hoping for luck. They know where to go, how to get there and who to go with. It takes time to 'test' their patience during their jounery! This make me remembered to play 'treasure hunt' before when I am teenager! This lesson must make your team communicate each other so very well, not "RUSH" to find a clue, maybe make a failure! :P

Please read the Amir Hamidi's website version Bahasa Malaysia. He invited by the Pusat Majudiri 'Y' for the Deaf, YMCA Kuala Lumpur, he become a judge who collected the markes from each team in the competition.

Wow, they have their own creative name on each team! Cool! Congratulation to a champion, Star Pirates team, Creatively Deafies SaaS who won 2nd, and Suikoden Team, 3rd prizes!

"The first place was won by a team consisting of Star Pirates, Chai Wei Xiong (head), Ashley Lai, Ah Sam Lai, Christopher Chow and Tengku Nur Carmeela.

They received a prize winner in the form of a total of RM 300 cash only.

Creatively Deafies SaaS team satisfied the second place, and consists of Haw Ching Cher (head), Low Chai Yun, Shoba, Sitie Sarah and Suresh.
Third place was occupied by a team comprising Suikoden Team, Yap Yun Siong, Charlie Thin, James Ng, Tom Tan and Jessy Ang." - by Amir Hamidi.

They are very happy, and share experience with the hearing friends too! This game make them excited to hunt some clues which hidden in the sealed places!

Silent Teddies - Deafness Is No Barrier by The Community Service Centre For The Deaf (CSCD)

“YOUTH In Charge” is a Magnum eCSR Program to empower Malaysian Youths to take charge and to lead projects that will make an improved difference to our community. There are 7 projects have been shortlisted in the "Youth In Charge" Magnum eCSR Program. The two projects under this category which garners the top 2 highest votes will receive the funding up to RM25,000 each.

Silent Teddies (KL) is a Deaf project of Community Service Centre For The Deaf (CSCD) which lead by Deaf Youth members; Tee Ching Shan, Sujithra Chandran, Chong Kar Jing, Tommy Yow Shann Koon, and Sri Krishna Rao. This program was organized to teach young hearing impaired children at the CSCD to be self-sufficient and equip them with entrepreneurial skills. It help them and the Deaf students to learn new skill of baking, such as making the delicious cookies, bread and muffins.

Why they joined in “YOUTH In Charge” is a Magnum eCSR Program? Because their hopes are to equip a kitchen with cooking utensils and some electrical items such as a small oven, blender and stove for skills training in cooking as one of the preparations for the future set up of a café to be run by them.

Streamyx Packages for the Deaf and Disabled People (OKU)

TM Streamyx provided the discounts for disability community, include Deaf Malaysians. This OKU packages are only for disabled citizens who registered under the Social Welfare Department, in the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.

First, you need to submit a copy of the OKU ID card when you go to TM point which is near your house or workplace. You can choose which package that you can pay on monthly, I just give my suggestion to choose 1.0Mbps is fast as you can pay RM 66 monthly.

Because my experience to using 512kbps, it get to be slow and sometimes go down! So, 1.0 Mbps - 4.0Mbps are better because you want to use Internet so faster, right?

When you are first time user, you will need to pay RM 75 for activation, and RM 88 installation fees required in your 1st bill. For example, use Streamyx 1.0Mbps + Activation + Installation fees to pay 1st. After 1st bill, you willl pay normal as pay RM 66 Streamyx monthly only.

If you are old user, no need activation and installation, just change package only, if you want.

Noted:

Registration is available at TMpoint outlets only.
Applicants must present their OKU ID card issued by the Social Welfare Department, Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.
Should you send a representative to register on your behalf, please also submit a copy of the OKU ID card.
The first bill will include one month’s subscription fee from the date your service is activated, and an advance charge of the second month’s subscription fee.

Switched at Birth - ABC Family Drama

About two teenage girls who discover that they were accidentally switched at birth. This come to a dramatic head when both families meet and struggle to learn how to live together for the sake of the girls....

Kennish and Daphne have different personality and grew up in different environment. Daphne is Deaf girl which raised by her struggling single mother, Regina and grandmother. She is very active at athletic, but not like her parents, more to her biological parents. Daphne will move in Bay Kennish's family because her biological parents want to help Daphne and Regina's financal to make Daphne get better life and education, like Bay Kennish.

But, Bay Kennish and Daphne Vasques will become enemies if they stay together at home? They will face more challenges and problem if they stay together with their biological parents? It forces them to understand their family too. Their parents always need to along with them too. That is why this drama is very interesting and make you all curious about how they spend time with their own parents!

If you wonder about who played as Daphne Vasque, she is real Deaf or Hard-Hearing? Katie Lynn Leclerc is Daphne. She become hard of hearing at her age, 20 years old. That she can speak so very well and also learned the sign language. She got discovered her passion of acting so she joined her career to be actress for the television drama.

Not her only, Sean Berdy, Deaf American actor and comedian and Martin Marlee, Deaf actress also joined in this drama, Switched at Birth.
