Paul's Deal or No Deal Game Report 10/11/09

What a game yesterday Noel declares, and he talks about the 4 forces that can make a great effect on the contestant's game, the wings, and also the friends and family who really influenced Ginge and possibly stopped her winning £75,000!

Paul has box 9 today. Noel tells everyone to keep clapping as Paul messes up putting the box on the table! Noel reveals that Paul is a council tax officer and that gets a lot of boos! Paul likes creative writing and tells us a little about it, and how he started writing a book and put a lot of effort into it and has found out a film has been released covering his subject! Paul has a birthday card he received which has a picture of Noel on the front, and Noel says he hasn't seen that card before and might be suing someone!!

Noel says everyone is feeling good at the moment, and he is feeling very good about everyone at the moment. He talks about Terry's game and how he could understand people not wishing to risk things with the current climate, but Terry could see he still had a good board and was prepared to go for it.

Ginge has box 2 today. Noel attempts to pronounce Ginge's name and fails (So I won't even attempt to try!!) Ginge tells us a bit about her job, and then introduces her friends and family that she has brought along, her older sister, best friend and husband. We get to see a picture of her son, and then Noel says we are misleading everyone as she has a picture of when he was 1, and now he is 21

Ginge has a lucky rabbit that will hopefully bring her some luck today. Noel doesn't think Ginge has a system, and she doesn't, but she is a bit of a gambler...

Noel says he appreciates that at the weekend we're joined by viewers who can't watch during the week, so Noel tells us a little bit about the current contestants, including how Paul and Ceri would both like to visit a theme park in Florida, and Craig and Shaz would like to meet Take That... he also talks about Mary who likes spotted dick, WITH custard.

Terry has box 15. Terry is a PCSO, and explains how he ensures people have safe and secure bus journeys in the Midlands. He has his wife in the audience, and shows a pic of his wife and children in their garden. He has a stone with him from the prison in Alcatraz, which he picked up when he visited there. Terry says 15 is his birthday number...

Noel says he hopes we had a safe bonfire night, and he describes Owain's game as 'safe' and talks a bit about it.

Debs has her husband Nick with her today. She shows a pic of her house when it got flooded and another pic of her young children. She says her son calls anyone who has facial hair "Uncle Noel". She has a couple of pieces of paper with her that her son found at the hotel, and one has a message asking for money, and the other has the number 13 written on it.

Everyone is dressed in hats and scarves for the bonfire night special today, and the boxes are black... Noel welcomes us to the special show and refers back to Lucy's show where everyone ended up happy, and Lucy won twice as there was a side bet on with Lucy's fiance as he promised to buy Lucy flowers at least once every 3 months

Owain has box 20 today. Noel thinks Owain said that he is weird! But Owain says that he means the whole experience of playing today is weird Noel says that Owain has never won anything, and that gets a big AWWW from the pilgrims Owain says he did win one thing once, but it was when he went bowling and won a prize for the scruffiest shoes ever!!

We get to see a few of Owain's photos... Noel says that Owain looks really sweet, apart from his hairy chest and wants to set fire to it

Noel says there is a favourite expression that contestants use when they get to an important decision on the show and that is 'I came with nothing', but he says that isn't always the case as many spend a lot of time on systems or practising box opening, and then goes over to Mary who he says has been practising her box opening face He then gets Mary to show us her new box opening laugh

Elaine has box 10 today. Noel asks Elaine how she can be that surprised by being picked today. Elaine is a health visitor, and used to be a midwife. She has brought along her grandaughters handbag today, and she says that she really loves the show.

Elaine says she is very noisy but is also easily distracted! Noel introduces Elaine's husband who is in the audience for support, and he warns everyone that she is loud and also talks a lot Elaine says she likes a gamble and then starts waving her hands around, and Noel copies this

All the crew are present at the end of the intro, and they all cheer as Noel says this is the show's 4th birthday! Noel says the banker has given out over £18million since the start of the show. There is a cake at the side of the studio, and Noel will explain what this means later on.

Noel says it is wonderful to see all the contestants again as they was all dressed up last week, he also reckons it is a great time to play the Banker at the moment. He also talks about the shows 4th birthday tomorrow.

Roli has box 5 today. Noel says that Roli looked very confident walking to the pound table, and announces that Roli is a banker!! He then corrects himself and reveals that he is actually a baker Roli says that he is training at the moment and works in a supermarket, but is hoping to climb the ladder. He talks about how he used to be a landlord but gave it all up as he spent his whole life around his job, and decided to spend more time with his family and change career.

Noel runs around at the start to try and get away from some ghosts which are stalking him

Today is the last of the Trick and Treat Halloween specials. Noel says at last, we had the TREAT yesterday with Sarah, and says how she would have crashed down to £5,000 had it not been for the extra offers due to the TREAT.

Trick or Treat Twist
The portraits and ashes of the banker's grandparents are on a mantelpiece at the side of the studio. At 5-box, the player gets an opportunity to choose between two urns. If they find the urn that contains a TREAT, there's a wonderful surprise for them, and they get an offer after every box. Hassan's game today for the first of the TRICK OR TREAT Halloween specials all this week.

The titles have been given a very creepy makeover!! We have some spooky new music as well. All the contestants (and Noel!) are dressed as ghosts for these special shows, and the set is suitably dressed. We're also treated to some more spooky sound and visual effects!

Noel says we are not alone here today. We can sense the spirits of the banker's ancestors. Their portraits and ashes are on a mantelpiece at the side of the studio. At 5-box, the player gets an opportunity to choose between two urns. If they find the urn that contains a TREAT, there's a wonderful surprise for them, and they get an offer after every box. If the player finds a TRICK, the banker gets to look in a box and there'll be no offer after every box.

Hassan has box 8.

Hassan is originally from Cyprus and used to work in a grocery shop, but now he's a painter/decorator. His wife, son and his son's wife are in the audience today. We get to see some pics of Hassan's grandchildren.

Noel says we are on a high now after Laura's game where she showed what courage is all about, and he says she has shown up some of the men on the wings who wouldn't have had the same courage. He tells them all to make the most of their moment.

Nicholas has box 11 today. Noel struggles with Nicholas's surname (I won't even attempt ) Nicholas is a hairdresser and has been doing it for over 20 years, he slowly took over his parents salon and now runs it. He has his wife Helen in the audience and says he met her in a fish & chip shop where she was working and fell in love with her. We get to see a couple of his family pics of his two daughters, and also one of his late grandparents.

Noel says what a way to start the week, after the banker was spanked by Cal yesterday... Noel says the banker's ego has been spanked and not his bum!

Laura has box 18.

Laura is a clerical assistant and speaks about her job. She explains she has 2 grandparents who live next to each other, and they are very different from each other - one is a gambler and one isn't!

She has a soft toy with her which is called Harold, and Noel asks if it's named after King Harold and the Battle of Hastings, but Laura's never heard of him She wants money to get a mobility scooter for her grandparents.

Noel hopes we are having a spectacular weekend... He reveals that there are 3 romantics on the west wing, Nicholas and Hassan want to renew their wedding vows, and Roy would love to as well but he hasn't had the wedding yet as he couldn't afford it, hopefully his game will change that.

Cal has box 11 today. Cal is from Liverpool and Noel says he is a bird impersonator and asks for his pigeon impression He is actually a waitor and explains a little about his job. Noel asks what his dream is, and Cal would love to open a bar.

We get to see a few of Cal's pics, and Cal would love to win enough money to treat his gran to a spa weekend. Cal doesn't have a system, but does have a couple of lucky numbers

Noel says how he's only just got his hearing back after Kate's loud game yesterday. He says how the banker passed through the £18 million milestone yesterday. Noel thinks the banker will try to avoid offering money from today.

Marie has box 21.

Marie is a dietician assistant from Wales and he speaks a bit about her job. Her husband Alan is in the audience today, and he says he met her through his work, as she lived in a council house and he went to inspect her chimney. Noel says he also creeped into her bathroom to look for men's toiletries to see if she was single.

She shows a pic of her late grandfather, and has his prayer book with her. She has a poem for the banker which she reads out...

Noel talks about the contrasting week we have had so far, with Sharna recovering in her game and knowing when to quit, then Michelle becoming the 23rd member of the 1p club, and then Sid just going to the end regardless, so Noel is not sure what mood the Banker will be in today...

Kate has box 16 today. Kate is a part-time air hostess from Yorkshire, and used to be full-time until she had a baby. She has her partner in the audience for support and he explains how he met her on a flight, although he didn't actually meet her on the flight as he was handed her phone number on a sickbag after he got off the flight

We get to see a few of Kate's photos, one of her and her daughter and another of her late grandparents, she tells Noel how her gran loved Noel and all his shows.

Kate says the numbers don't mean anything to her and she will play a random game.

Noel talks about the Dream factory, but how yesterday it was a bit of a nightmare as Michelle went home with 1p and became the 23rd member of the 1p club... He goes along the wings and talks about the dreams of some of the contestants.

Sid has box 20 today. Noel says Sid had him worried by the way he carried his box to the table Sid is from Northampton and is a retired transport manager. Noel reveals a story about how Sid lost some wheels on a truck when he was in the army! He went for a drink at a pub and came back and the truck was on bricks
