You don’t have to go hog wild, but you should at least check to make sure you got all the coupons you think you might use because many will go away when we turn the page.  Others will be reset which allows you to print now, then print again on March 1.

I wore soft contacts for years and years.  I was only 14 when I got my first pair of soft lenses.  In those days, they were so expensive that we bought insurance in case one ripped or got lost. And I had to make my own saline solution using salt tablet and had to boil my lenses each night in a little machine (anyone remember that???).  I’m sure those lenses I put in my eyes were not clean or healthy.  I had some lenses that I wore for years!

There is a coupon on facebook that is currently up and running (they had major issues yesterday) that will score you a FREE gallon of any white milk when you buy any 3 breakfast items!

I normally don’t care much for coupons that require you buy one thing (let alone 3 things) to get another thing, but this one is so flexible… can you say 3 donut holes… LOL!

Run over here and “like” Milk Mustache Campaign then follow the prompts. You can get 2 prints but you will have to start over again. If someone else in your home has a facebook account, they will have to use a different computer if they also want to print the coupon.

They are only offering 10,000 per day through March 3, so if they run out today, check again tomorrow morning. You can also try requesting the coupon by emailing mp@milkpromos.net. Not sure if they will still honor an email request since they supposedly fixed their Java issue.

UPDATE: I keep forgetting Shaw’s does not accept printed internet coupons for BOGO items (let’s hope that changes when the new policy comes out!).  Remember, if you have rain checks for the free cereal we got last week, even though you will get the cereal free with coupons and rain checks, you can still get the free milk because you are indeed buying three breakfast items!

This is the 5th week in a row (yes, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 weeks) that Hannaford does not have a store catalina coupon for us when we scan our Hannaford stickers (2/26 through 3/3). At least not according to their weekly email.

You might be wondering why I keep reporting this non-deal week after week… well, it’s because I know many people know think scanning their Hannaford sticker is a waste of time, but I want to remind everyone that you still need to scan it if you are a SavingStar member.

You might also be wondering why they don’t give us a shiny new store catalina each week. When I called and spoke to Robin (see below) she told me it’s not cost-effective for them to do a coupon every week.  Okay.  But they are spending lots of money sending us all stickers that most people will stop using because they don’t get anything when scanning it. Does that make sense?

On a good note, some of us were able to score some almost free I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (me, me, me) and Country Crock (not me) this week. No sticker necessary… lol! The deal might still be going on… see if you can still print the coupons then check your Hannaford!!!

Anyway, you still need to scan your sticker at Hannaford if you are a SavingStar member.  I really think the only reason Hannaford even came up with a sticker program is so they could be involved with SavingStar.

TIP: Save yourself a ton of work by NOT clipping your insert coupons. Instead, put like pages together and staple them (be careful you don’t put the staple through a coupon bar code). Mark the insert date then file. When you need a coupon, you can just pull out that insert and clip through all the like pages in one shot!

ANOTHER TIP: If you are the type who wants to go shopping with every single coupon (I’m kind of like that), then bring your coupon inserts (and scissors) with you when you shop. If you have too many, just leave them in a box in the car. Print out the handy dandy alphabetical coupon lists that Sunday Coupon Preview provides. If you see an item on sale, check your lists! If you see there is a coupon, you can clip it! Running out to your car is better than driving home and back.

YET ANOTHER equally fascinating TIP: To know when you can toss out your inserts, go to my coupon database, click on advanced search, use the source drop down menu to find the insert. If you don’t see it listed, that means all the coupons have expired… toss it! If it is listed, click on it then search and you will see only the coupons in that issue that are still valid. If there are only a couple left, you can clip just those and toss the rest!

I’m tossing out old inserts and thought I’d pass on a tip. You can use my coupon database to see if there are any coupons left in those old inserts!

What?  You clip the coupons from your inserts when you get them?  I don’t.

What I do is put like pages together then I staple them. I write the date on the front page then put each insert in a clear plastic bag. When I need a coupon, I just pull out the insert, find the coupon, then cut through all pages at once! It’s easy as pie!

To know when you can toss out your inserts, go to my coupon database, click on advanced search, use the source drop down menu to find the insert. If you don’t see it listed, that means all the coupons have expired… toss it!

It has been a long time since I had a Swiss Tea coupon!  And I just saw a gallon of Swiss in reduced dairy at Shaw’s a few days ago marked down to $1.00.  This coupon would have made it free! The 1/2 gallons often go on sale for $1.25 at Shaw’s, so only $.15 after this coupon doubles!

There have been some coupons coming out for $5/5 and $4/4 Kellogg’s and I was never quick enough to get one… but I did this time!

The $4/4 is better than the $5/5 for those of us who shop at Shaw’s because their value limit for a printable coupon is $4.99, so $5 off is a penny too much (and coupons have been rejected). So, print out as many of these $4/4 as you can and hold for a sale!

I am beyond excited to report that I got a deal at Hannaford… yes, Hannaford! Sure, I get deals at Hannaford using their various $1 off store coupons. But, it’s rare that I use my printed coupons there since they don’t have the good sales Shaw’s has and they don’t double coupons.

Well, tonight was different!

I noticed that facebook fan Danielle posted on Chrystie’s I Love to Gossip facebook page that Hannaford in Gray had I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter on closeout for $1.35.  I posted the info on my page, then fan Jennifer said Millinocket also had it on closeout. And guess what? Sanford did too!

After using this $1.25 off any ICBINB product, a two pack of spread was only 10¢ each!  I got 4 packs for just 40¢ which works out to only 5¢ per tub of ICBINB!  Ain’t life grand?

Sanford still had plenty left, so if you are in Sanford, print this coupon and head to the store!

Country Crock is also on closeout for $1.25, so only 25¢ after this $1/1 Country Crock coupon (try 90210 or 77477).  Sanford, however, was wiped out.  Maybe your Hannaford has some!
