YOU CAN DO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN DO!!!

As I finish my 1 1/2 hour workout this morning (5:30a - 7a), I'm reminded...you and I can do FAR MORE than what we originally think!! The last stretch of my run, as I'm cramping and don't know whether to throw up or pass out, I hear the words of my coach (Rodriguez) saying "push it," "just a little more."

This is a year of BREAKTHROUGH! It is time to break limits, habits, and mediocrity! For all of you who are joining with us in fasting, prayer, & Scripture reading...realize this...

So far, we have fasted by eating only fruits, vegetables, seeds, & whole grains for 8 days drinking only water...this means we have broken the bondage of caffiene, sugar, & unhealthy fatty foods!!

As of today, we will have read Matthew, Acts, Mark, James, and Galatians...at an incredible pace...consuming large parts of Scripture!

Plus, at least for me and PK, we have pushed ourselves well BEYOND our physical limits and are on the way to a LIFESTYLE of physical fitness and health!

My point...YOU CAN DO MUCH MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU CAN DO!!! This FIRST MONTH of the FIRST YEAR of a NEW DECADE let us set the pace for the days, months, years that follow. If all of this can be done in 8 days by a little RESOLUTION and a lot of Holy Spirit inspiration, WATCH OUT!!

Let's keep it going...finish strong...2 more days of fasting...22 more days of reading...a lifetime of breaking limits to be all that God has called us to be!!

Today officially begins the first full day of our church-wide 10-day Daniel Fast and reading through the New Testament in 30 days! I'm geared up & ready to go...minus a few extra groceries! Thousands of people - all over the country - are fasting, praying, & digging into their Bible this month - may it continue!

Beaumont Enterprise Article

I recently had the privilege to write an article for a special publication in the Beaumont Enterprise. It is an Entertainment & Fun Guide for Southeast Texas and the parameters were to represent the faith of the community and appeal to the broad audience of people from all faiths/no faith. The magazine will have a circulation of well over 60,000 people and be placed in local hotels & Chamber of Commerce.

Please pray that it makes an impact and plants seeds in the hearts of many. Look for it this Sunday as an insert in the Beaumont Enterprise titled FYI 2009.

REFRESH YOUR SPIRIT!

Pray & Meditate

Recent studies even show prayer and meditation to be significant means of maintaining emotional, mental, and spiritual health. Nurture Relationships

Relationships are the glue of life; however sticky they may be, relationships give meaning and purpose to our lives. The key to refreshing your spirit is to make sure your relationships are “life-giving” and not “life-taking.” Of course, all relationships require work, effort, sacrifice, and patience; but they should also nourish you and energize your life’s journey. Take time regularly for a relationship check-up. Ask yourself, “Which relationships energize me? Deplete me? Encourage me? Pull negatively on me?” It might be time to reprioritize the energy spent on an unhealthy relationship, or to focus more on people who are going with you in the same direction.

A local church or house of worship is a great place to connect with God AND find key relationships for life. Many churches provide a loving, safe environment, filled with people who are living in community with God and each other. Hundreds of churches in Southeast Texas provide regular opportunities to grow in your relationships each week. Remember, whom you surround yourself with will indelibly affect the quality of your life. Refresh your spirit by connecting with others. Give a church a try!

Make a difference…Serve!

A final but paramount key in refreshing your spirit is to get involved in serving others. Mother Teresa said, “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” Albert Einstein also stated, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” I believe Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best, “Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Southeast Texas is home to dozens of Faith-based and community organizations that provide help to the poor, destitute, and troubled, as well as respond to times of personal crisis by offering hope to thousands. Find a place of service – great or small – publically or privately – give a portion of your time, energy, and life away to benefit another. Jesus summed it up, “It is more blessed to give, than to receive.” Serving will rejuvenate your life and inspire your journey!

For thousands of years, faith has been a significant source of hope, encouragement, and the primary foundation of purpose in life. Take time today to give your faith meaning and your life purpose by reading the Bible, praying, nurturing valuable relationships, and changing your world through service. Take time to Refresh Your Spirit!

GUATEMALA - CLIMBING PACAYA - Pt 1

While in Guatemala, we had the awesome opportunity to climb the volcano Pacaya. Located just 18 miles away from Guatemala City, it is one of the few active volcanos that you can climb RELATIVELY easy. At 8,373 ft., it's @ a 3hr hike that me, Kris, John Deamon & some of our team braved...here are some vids...pics are on facebook & shutterfly...

Disregard the appearance of me being short-winded or out of breath...it's just the thin air, not my current physical shape :)

Personal Accountability Questions

I recently came across John Wesley's Small Group Accountability Questions & found them challenging and helpful. Wesley was a great man of God, founder of the Methodist movement, and impacted thousands of people and many different Christian streams of theology. Check them out...honestly & prayerfully...

Am I consciously or unconsciously creating the impression that I am better than I am? In other words, am I a hypocrite?
Am I honest in all my acts and words, or do I exaggerate?
Do I confidentially pass onto another what was told me in confidence?
Am I a slave to dress, friends, work , or habits?
Am I self-conscious, self-pitying, or self-justifying?
Did the Bible live in me today?
Do I give it time to speak to me everyday?
Am I enjoying prayer?
When did I last speak to someone about my faith?
Do I pray about the money I spend?
Do I get to bed on time and get up on time?
Do I disobey God in anything?
Do I insist upon doing something about which my conscience is uneasy?
Am I defeated in any part of my life?
Am I jealous, impure, critical, irritable, touchy or distrustful?
How do I spend my spare time?
Am I proud?
Do I thank God that I am not as other people, especially as the Pharisee who despised the publican?

Do I grumble and complain constantly?
Is Christ real to me?

these vids are of a trip to one of the widow's homes in the mountains & show a before & after look at what can be done...

this woman has been very reluctant for Ivan to build her a house due to her superstitious Mayan roots...he's been working on her for a while, and even built a house for her daughter & 7 children, but she would not consider it for herself...after visiting her, praying with her, and blessing her, she agreed to let him build her a house...he said it was a MAJOR breakthrough and will probably shortly lead to her coming to faith in Chirst...

The Love Revolution is going awesome and I'm amazed at the incredible people I have the privilege to serve and pastor...Triumph folks are the best!

This past Sunday, we talked about the immensity of God's love and the way Jesus showed it to the fullest - by serving. We were challenged to "pick up the towel" and serve those around us. The presence of the Lord was powerful and hundreds responded to the call to serve others, in fact, we had 77 brand new people sign up to serve in specific ministries within the church. Praise God!

Here are the sermon-based questions for this week to use in your personal devotional time and discuss in your small group this Wednesday...

1. How do the words of Paul “..the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with the love of God” stir your affections for Christ? (i.e. racial boundaries, gender boundaries, stereotypical judgment, etc.)

2. How does fatherhood change our perceptions of God as a Father? Are there areas in your lives that create personal strongholds in relation to Christ?

3. Are there other cultural/personal things that shape our acceptance of a loving God? (i.e. media, fast-paced life, western culture, sexuality)

4. Do you struggle with “doing the right things” because its expected? Are your good deeds a direct result of the love of God or are they religious, ritualistic morality?

5. Since we agree that the love of God prompts action in the lives of believers, how can we better serve our brothers and sisters inside the church? Is this an area that is often neglected? Why or why not?

6. How can we better serve those outside of the church? Is this an area that is often neglected? Why or why not?

SORTING THROUGH THE JUNK

Yesterday was a great day...first full day (or almost) off & totally disconnected...with my wife. We spent most of the day...sorting through junk! Yep, my honey-do list had multiplied and there was no more putting it off! Spring cleaning, going through STUFF that has accumulated in every corner, drawer, GARAGE (let's not talk @ that)...it is amazing how STUFF HAPPENS, multiplies, and CROWDS/OVERWHELMS...

While thinking through the message from Sunday...and trying to LIVE IT OUT on Monday...I got a GREAT visual! All of the things we attempt to do--for our families, job, relationships, God, etc.--can become so consuming...multiply...crowd...overwhelm...so that we're EXTREMELY BUSY, but not happy...or making a difference...or enjoying (in-joy) life! Resisting, no fighting against, complexity and embracing, no guarding, simplicity is a never-ending fight! What REALLY MATTERS?

What really matters is loving others, as Christ loves us. Doing everything out of His INFINITE love--not our own FINITE ability. It was Jesus' unique and only command that He personally OWNED (Jn. 13:34-35) and THE DISTINGUISHING MARK of a follower of Christ.

So, how's your LOVE meter? Are you doing, going, speaking, acting, working, out of God's limitless reservoir of love? Or, are you existing, relating, functioning out of duty, personal strength, and have-to? Don't underestimate the obvious...people can tell...my wife can tell...my kids can tell...my friends, co-workers, family...all can tell.

Today, let's forget EVERYTHING and FOCUS on ONE THING: To love, genuinely, each person we encounter...to respond, act, speak, initiate...ALL OF IT...from Jesus' vantage point....out of His view of--and love for--those around us. Talk about a revolution?

over the next several weeks, i'll be attempting to chronicle my own journey and provide deeper info and application for all who are ready to dive into the depths of God's love

and desire to spend your life learning to love others "as He loves"

Easter was incredible this year...772 people; 28 salvations/rededications...IN THE POURING RAIN!!

in the words of the moravians... "to win for the Lamb, the reward of His suffering"

although, it is slightly concerning...the number of CEOs (Christmas and Easter Only) church-goers...as a church...as people who name the Name of Christ...we must better disciple others...

we must be better disciples...

consider this question...really think of it today...seriously, be honest before God...

here it is...

"Would your life look different if you suddenly stopped believing in God?"

the answer, helps us gauge the impact and influence Christ is allowed in our lives

has our "belief" merely become something added to our well-oiled machine of a life like salt on food...(makes it a little tastier, but far from necessary)?

would our job, marriage, relationships, pursuits, hobbies, schedule, finances, etc. only be mildly adjusted?

who is at the CENTER of my life around which all other things revolve?

ME? or HIM?

to what degree?

Prayer for our new President

Father, according to Timothy 2, Paul exhorted that "supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority that we may lead a quiet peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior". In obedience to Your Word, we join together this day, January 20 2009, with our church family all across the United States of America and join in one heart and one mind in prayer and intercession for our new incoming President Barack Obama. Father we ask this day that as Barack Obama is inaugurated here in Washington DC, that You would look down from Heaven and in Your great mercies upon America look down this day upon President Barack Obama and grant him exceeding wisdom in these crucial days ahead facing him and the new administration. Oh mighty Father we pray as a united body to You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that You may grant to Barack Obama the spirit of wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of Yourself this day. That the eyes of President Obama's understanding be enlightened that he may know what is the hope of his calling and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power to us-ward who believe and to himself, according to the working of Your mighty power which you wrought in Christ, when You raised Him from the dead.

Father we pray that the overshadowing fear of the Lord would start to rest upon this new administration. We pray for Your sovereign hand to guide the President and those in his cabinet. We release YOUR purposes, we release YOUR plan, we release YOUR strategies and YOUR wisdom, we release YOUR governance. We pray for visitation in the President's night hours and revelation in his waking hours, that as he enters the pressures and the challenges of office in 2009 that he would be driven to trust in You as his mighty fortress, that he would find refuge and wisdom under Your wings, that he would seek Your face before he seeks man's wisdom and Father, that You would pour out word after word in season upon him from on high.

Father, we thank you that even as Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson ruled in generations before Barack Obama, that You have placed upon President Barack Obama's shoulders a mantle to root out and tear up wickedness, thank you Father, that by Your sovereign mighty hand, You would imbue him with zealousness and righteousness to rout out evil men and sinister schemes. Grant President Barack Obama the courage to rule with justice and the wisdom to rule under God. And Father, as the body of Christ that we commit to You to lift him up faithfully and fervently. That we may consistently petition Heaven on Barack Obama's behalf and petition President Barack Obama on YOUR behalf. Father, we also ask that You minister to him in the night hours regarding the issue of abortion that he may know Your heart and Your mind on these issues so important to Heaven. And finally we ask divine protection and blessing over his family and upon his physical life. Preserve his life from being cut off prematurely, Father preserve him from sinister schemes and the schemes of wicked men. Thank you that as President of the United States he will run the course that is laid out for him in this time and this season. Thank you for joining with us and the Body of Christ all across America to pray for President Barack Obama today and in the months and years ahead. God Bless America!

Let's bless and declare a turning in our nation, expansion of the Kingdom, and a revival of righteousness!

Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland. Lacey went to Triumph in her childhood and early teen years...I'll be doing the funeral.

Alas...

the drought of bloggery is over!

What I set my sights on at quarter 'til 6:00 this morning is now at hand...after the morning get-kids-to-school rush (with clean teeth, fairly ironed clothes, non-red behinds, and sane parents); the MUCH-NEEDED STARBUCKS drive-through; a bank deposit; Walgreens formula/pedialite run; gas fill-up (since my dearest can't pump her own gas...nor should I ever wish her to); and trash ditch (to avoid the "we've got to clean this car out" lecture); followed by a quick "please get the diaper bag packed while I finish my hair if I'm not at the Dr.'s office when they open I'll be waiting 'til supper" line (just like that with no punctuation or pause)...THEN "away to the door I flew like a flash" as I escorted my lover (of 10 yrs+ who happens to also be my wife) and newest addition (baby nate) to the car...they pulled out...I shut the garage...plugged Christmas Tree #1 (yes, there are more) and wondered.......why is EVERY LIGHT IN THE ENTIRE HOUSE ON?

No matter, as I faithfully, dutifully, CONTINUALLY do so often...I walk about flipping switches, pulling chains (closet lights are stubborn), and returning dimmers to their rightful positions. I grab my laptop, my latte, my Bible and journal, and two bags of new books I purchased the other day, and walk to the Family Room...plug in Christmas Tree #2, open the blinds, sit on the sofa, crack open the Mac (the only computer that matters...ask Jadon Ellender) and sigh..."it's time to break the silence..."

I know what some are thinking..."must be nice...I have to be at work at ? o'clock on Mondays...yaa, yaa, yaa..." I'll deal with you in a minute! Mondays are one of my work-from-home days...I used to call it my "day off," but realize my prophetic gift and faith gift weren't that mature yet, so I at least have a combo day where I get to work on home, my stuff, and work and do it all without a shower!

Mondays are our Saturdays/Sundays...In ministry, we have the honor of pouring our life out for God's people...while this is a 24/7 lifestyle (not a job)...Sunday is GAME DAY! It's when the heat is on and the future is decided...all of our energy, focus, and time is pointed toward Sunday...therefore, it's not until AFTER then, that we can truly relax and re-tool.

So, here's my Monday list (an impossible task, yet noble attempt)...

Write a paternal Christmas letter to our wonderful congregation, get it to the printer, and set up mailing with the mailer.
Assist in picking up the house (major brownie points)
Blog (at least one thing will get done today)
Exercise (prob. not going to happen, but should be on the list)
Make some pastoral phone calls dealing with sensitive issues and precious people
Finish Christmas shopping - 17 days to go!
Wash the car...(or have it washed :)
Follow up on various emails that have been waiting in the Inbox
Clean the garage (for the 12th time since we've been remodeling)
Re-stake the inflatable Manger Scene and Santa-on-a-Harley in the yard ravaged by the wind
Spend quality make-up time with my wife/baby (since neglecting them for church stuff the last few days)
Plan the much-awaited Anniversary Day (our 10 year marriage day on Dec.12)
Work some more on this weekend's message (gonna be great with a guest appearance by PK)
Continue letting last week's message work on me...whew!
Get all of this done and de-stress before the kids get out of school at 3pm so I can have some make-up Daddy time!

Much more I'm sure, but I'd rather not think @ it...PLUS, none will happen if I don't STOP THE RANT!

My renewed commitment to all who may enjoy reading this blog (whether many or few)...

1. I will give advance warning should there be another drought coming
2. I will blog AT LEAST more than once/wk
3. I will attempt TWITTER for a week...but ditch it if it is too maintenance intensive

With an election pending in just a few short days, the future of our nation is at stake. As people of God, citizens of the Kingdom, we must do our part to pray that God would cover our leaders and our nation with His protection, peace, and discernment. One of the candidates will be our next president and it is guaranteed that he will need our prayers to govern this country. Key issues are at stake - issues greater than the economy, the energy crisis, or even the war - issues of life and value for the unborn, how we choose to define the covenant of marriage, and the moral fabric of our nation.

Our next president will possibly select three Supreme Court justices. These terms are for LIFE. These decisions and appointments can greatly advance or detour the biblical morality of our nation and drastically impact our lives as children of God.

As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we absolve ourselves of our right to vote OUR values, preferences, or perspectives and shoulder a greater responsibility - to cast our vote according to GOD'S values and principles. Thankfully, although every issue is not clearly articulated in scripture, many of the issues are. We are responsible for what we know and who we declare ourselves to be. The greater reality is that above my being a Republican or Democrat, I am a citizen of God's Kingdom, His government. I must use my influence, the weight of my vote, the voice of my decision to impact this world, so that it becomes like His.

Here are a few key scriptures to consider when preparing your heart to cast your vote...

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

"Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether by king, as supreme authority, or to governors..." 1 Peter 2:12 - 14

"There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood..." Proverbs 6:16-17

"So you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD." Deuteronomy 21:9

"For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward." Psalm 127:3

"It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." Luke 17:2

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14

"Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage be kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." Hebrews 13:4

"You are the salt of the earth...You are the light of the world...neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:13-15

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

"Pray for peace in [the United States] and work hard to make it prosperous. The more successful that nation is, the better off you will be." Jeremiah 29:7

If You Catch Hell...

Tonight, I remembered an old Ron Kenoly song (somewhat corny, but appropriate) that would make a great mantra about now. It says, "If you catch hell don't hold it! If you're going through hell, don't stop!"

It's amazing how, even as a Christian (a pastor at that), it is so easy to forget the reality of the supernatural world and it's involvement in our own life. We serve a Great God and fight a real devil. The thief comes to "steal, kill, and destroy (Jn. 10:10)," but God ALWAYS gives us the victory in Christ (2 Cor. 2:14). No matter the battle, for the Christian, it's only another opportunity to exact the victory Christ has already won! God doesn't lead us into a battle He has not already equipped us to win...hold on...I'm preaching to myself!

I've been fighting hell for a few weeks now, and I know many others have too! Regardless of the circumstance, we must remember that the only way for defeat is if we give up (Gal. 6:9). If I hang in there and STAND against the attack of the enemy I WILL WIN, and most importantly, God will get glory!

So, in the words of Winston Churchill, "If you're going through hell, KEEP GOING!" DON'T STOP! On the other side is VICTORY! Know that, as John Wesley (the great revivalist) said, "If I get up in the morning and don't meet the devil square in the face, we must be going the same direction." God's plan hasn't changed, His purpose will stand, and the diversion of the enemy will not detour or thwart God's plan and covenant of blessing for His people.

Sunday's On The Way...

The dark night of Hurricane Ike is over and the light has revealed that God has preserved us and is already working this mess into a blessing. In the end, many will get new homes, much needed renovations, the support of friends and church family, and most of all the experience of trusting God through uncertainty. It's definitely not fun, but is destined to bring new levels of maturity and growth.

I'm reminded of a recent prophetic word from John Ragsdale...

God is getting ready to change the face of this church and the way you are portrayed in the community. You thought the transformation you’ve been going through the past couple years is what it is all about. No, that was just getting you ready for what is about to come to pass. There is going to be an outbreak of revival across America to off-set the things that have been happening in other places. God is about to launch an outbreak revival across America because he doesn’t want anyone to say, “I got it from that place” or “because of that man”. This [Triumph] is going to be one of the places revival is going to happen. You are going to see miracles, signs, and wonders. It will happen when nobody is even laying hands on them. It is going to happen during worship. – even in the foyer, this will take place...

He goes on to say to the congregation that we would soon be faced with many choices...

Choices – Choose wisely. Don’t be selfish. Don’t hoard and choose fleshly desires. Get rid of all doubt and unbelief. Watch as God begins to multiply and multiply and multiply. I speak multiplication over you.

No doubt that God is going to enable us to make the wise decisions necessary in the coming days and weeks to propel His purpose for our lives and families. Hurricane Ike was no surprise to God and He's already got a plan to "work it for our good."

SUNDAY IS ON THE WAY!!! This Sunday we'll reunite for church at Triumph. All four Triumph congregations will have regularly scheduled services with lights, A/C (praise the Lord), and most of all the Presence of God. We'll celebrate and give thanks for God's protection. We'll worship, preach, pray, and encourage one another. Now, more than ever, we can rally together as the family of God!

Come on home, power is being restored daily, stores are opening, and help is on the way!

Ike's Wake

Whew! What a crazy few weeks we have endured! Only two weeks since having our brand new baby boy and we have experienced two evacuations, the preparation/cancellation of our major anniversary conference, and Hurricane Ike with it's devastating effects on our community. I feel like I've been beat up and run over by a few semi-trucks...I know I'm not alone by any means! We are in Pensacola and safe. Our home seems to be unharmed from the reports we've received - thank the Lord. We are broken about what we are seeing on the news, internet, and via phone/email, but know the goodness of God will prevail.

I'm hearing reports from many of our friends and church family - some good and some not so good. We must come together and pray for Southeast Texas, the Greater Houston area, and all of our friends and family members who are facing extended evacuation and much work when they return. Our four Triumph Church congregations, pastors and leaders, church family, and facilities need the grace of God now more than ever. We experienced similar circumstances not too long ago, and in spite of how things looked at first glance, after the fact, we could all attest to God's miraculous power to turn the worst mess into the greatest blessing. No doubt, He'll do it again!

Let this passage from Isaiah 54 be a faith target for you as you walk through the next few days, weeks, etc. Hold on to it as a promise from the Lord...

      and the hills disappear,
   but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
      My covenant of blessing will never be broken,”
      says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
11 “O storm-battered city,
      troubled and desolate!
   I will rebuild you with precious jewels
      and make your foundations from lapis lazuli.
12 I will make your towers of sparkling rubies,
      your gates of shining gems,
      and your walls of precious stones.
God is ALWAYS faithful! He never blessed storms or used them to "teach" us something. He DOES, however, "work all things to our good" and we know that "no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD (Is. 54:17) Let's resist fear, anxiety, worry, and despair and put our hope and trust in the Lord.

Summer of Transformation Celebration!

When What You've Labored For Isn't What You Expected!

WOW! What a Summer of Transformation!! The silence is broken, the blogging drought is over, heralding the news of the hour...the 5th greatest moment of my life (1st - Meeting Jesus; 2nd - marrying the most wonderful woman in the world; 3rd - birth of JD; 4th - birth of Danielle; and 5th...) THE BIRTH OF OUR BRAND NEW BABY!!!!

On Friday evening at 9 o'clock, we (yes, we...believe me) gave birth to a 9lbs, 6.4oz, 21" long....baby BOY!!!! Yep! I said, BOY!!! We thought it was to be a girl! The ultrasound at 20weeks from the hospital confirmed it was a girl! The room is adorably vintage "shabby chic." Pinks, greens, cremes, and golds and TONS of pink bows, shoes, clothes, hats, socks, burp cloths, pacifiers, wash cloths, etc adorn the space! Even a hand painted canvas that matches perfectly the roses in the Belle Notte bedding reads "Natalie Elizabeth!" The walls stenciled with flourishes and roses, plus the antique glass knobs on the diaper changing table...all scream...."beautiful princess!!" However, I don't know where this "beautiful princess" is or when I'll see her.

NATHAN DEAMON SCAPIN took the world by surprise as he entered the scene and not even the doctor was prepared for this! :) After a grueling 21 hours in the hospital, 4-5 big "pushes" and out he comes...our "gift" from God (as his name means). God, in His providence, has blessed us with another awesome son to raise into a man of God to do great things for the Kingdom of God in the earth, harass his "older" sister, pee in the yard, and be a blessing to all those around him. What a HANDSOME "little man!"

As the Summer of Transformation is ending...our story is just beginning! Stay tuned for more news and pics to come!
