Good morning! It’s crazy to think that Easter is just one week away. We’ve added a few little touches of Easter decor here and there over the past couple of weeks including these adorable little bunny salt and pepper shakers.

And these larger bunnies that match the salt and pepper shakers. We got the egg cups with the bunny ears years ago.

We added these large resin mossed bunnies to our sideboard along with a nest we’ve had for years.

And these little brass ones we’ve had for years (you can find similar ones here and here).

And then we added a few more little nests we’ve had for years to a couple other little spots around the house for just a little subtle nod to Easter and spring.

Good morning! Thanks to a super exciting basketball season this year we have been out of a town A LOT  and although we are sad to see such a magical year come to an end it is nice being able to finally get caught up on some things around the house. Once we got back home the weather was glorious and so it was time to start adding some some touches of spring inside and outside (even if the cold weather has returned a bit today). The first thing I  did was tackle our back porch. This has pretty much just been bare since we moved in so I  hung some of these string lights and then added an adorable little bistro set both of which I ordered from our partner Wayfair. They arrived quickly and immediately transformed our little back porch! The lights are shatterproof and add the perfect warm glow (I’ll share a vide on our instagram page and you can see a night time photo if you scroll down). They are also 50 ft long so I  only needed one strand for the whole deck.

The swan planter, melamine dishes and candlesticks are all Wayfair finds too! The dishes are perfect for dinners outside! I  got them a couple of years ago and just love them!

We also added this little planter with the tripod feet which is fun!

And this little trio of planters from Wayfair helps add some height for some of our flowers.

We added some touches of spring to the front of our house as well. I planted some flowers in our window boxes and earlier this year added some topiaries and a spring wreath to the front door!

And then lastly we added some touches of spring inside too including this Easter bunny and this one. The lamp is a Wayfair find as well!

And I am in love with this green floral ceramic vase. It is just so beautiful. I had a blue one years ago that I loved  but it must have gotten lost somewhere along the way during and of our moves so I  was so thrilled to find this green one! The hydrangeas are from Wayfair too!

Good morning! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Today I wanted to share three simple ways you can add cottage charm to your kitchen.

1) . Cafe Curtains

The first one is if you have a window in your kitchen or dining area to add some cafe curtains. They immediately add such a cozy cottage look. They come in a wide range of prices from these $22 ones (we used them in our pantry) to these custom ones we have here. They immediately make a kitchen feel so homey! We’ve got these pretty patterned ones up now but we swapped them out for some simple ivory colored ones during the holidays that you can see here in these pictures.

2) . Utensil Rail

Not all kitchens have a spot for one (I’ve been itching to put one in for a while now but our last couple of kitchen haven’t had an ideal spot for one) but this kitchen we actually had spots for two of them! Utensil rails are fun because they add functional storage which is very fitting for a cottage style kitchen and you can mix up what you hang from them seasonally or just based on whatever works best for your needs. We have mostly things we use daily like dish towels, mugs, a cutting board and wooden spoons but then also added a piece of art too.  We used this utensil rail (which is my favorite! I love the detail on the brass) next to our stove:

and then we added this utensil rail over our little sideboard/coffee bar area:

3) . A touch of Gingham

And the third thing is adding a touch of gingham somewhere. This immediately adds that country cottage charm to a space. You could add it in a kitchen towel with that pattern, or on stool cushions or in our space we added some gingham pillows (they are just $25 for both pillow covers!) to the chairs in our breakfast nook.

We also added some gingham wallpaper  to the little hallway that’s right off our kitchen and so you can see it when you are in the kitchen and it adds to that overall cottage feel.

Good morning! It’s been a while since I posted. I had an unexpected health issue and am just now getting caught back up on things. For me January is always a month of getting the house back organized and cleaned after the holidays and starting to add little touches of spring throughout the house (even if the weather outside is still very much winter!) It always helps with those long winter days if there are florals or greenery that help cheer things up and if the house feels organized! We partnered with Wayfair  for little January Refresh to add some pops of spring both outside and inside this January! First up is our little front porch area. It looks so barren when I  took all of the garland and lights down outside so adding these topiaries (which you can adjust!) really helped add a pop of color against the house and I love that they can be used year-round!

We also added this absolutely BEAUTIFUL wreath to the front door that really just makes the whole front of the house feel so much cheerier despite the dreary January weather! The scalloped rug is a Wayfair find too!

Seriously, the details on this wreath are so beautiful!

Along with adding some more florals inside like these hydrangeas (I ordered another one of these arrangements  as well as some of these stems) I  also added some new functional pieces too like this beautiful dog bowl holder with the scalloped edge. I  put Ruby’s over here and Teddy’s back behind the table. I love how well it works in our kitchen and how stylish it is!

I   am also completely in love with this new lamp! Lamps are always pretty around the house but I especially love them during the dreary January and February months – they add such warmth!

I  also added some faux artichokes for a little pop of spring color in the kitchen.

And although it was hard to photograph I  added some great little plastic bins  and shelves to really help get our sideboard organized for spring. I’ll share a video of that on our LTK page!

I  also added some of the artichokes over to this counter on our kitchen. And this electric kettle is perfect for making tea on these cold nights!

We’ve got more Wayfair hydrangeas on this kitchen counter and the matching knife set to our kettle. They are such great quality knives and look so pretty too! And the cutting board is a great Wayfair find too.

Our dining area is LOADED with amazing Wayfair finds perfect for spring from the arched hutch, the light fixture, the chairs, the swan planter, hydrangeas, and even many of the items in the hutch like the hobnail glasses, wavy baking dishes and beaded melamine dishes!

Good morning! This morning I’m back with photos of our primary bedroom and bathroom decorated for Christmas. (Sunday I shared our living room, Monday our kitchen and dining room, and yesterday our back hallway including our pantry, laundry closet and powder room if you want to see any of those posts.)

I  just painted our bedroom back in October and really didn’t do a ton in here for the holidays as the color and bedding and pillows already have a cozy feeling to them. I  pretty much just added a bit of greenery and then a tree and I kept the tree simple with just some gingham ribbon that I tied into bows.

And yes, Teddy and Ruby  think this room is essentially “their room”.

This little nook is one of my favorite spots in this house. The built-in bookshelf adds such charm and it’s such a cozy little spot. It’s centrally located in the house so also one of the most used and passed through spots in the house so it’s nice having it be visually appealing too.

Our powder room is impossible to photograph because it doesn’t have any natural light so these pictures are terrible:
