after a week or so of fretin...... the lost old 'bluddy.' bear turned up... wearing a Santa hat and a 'winnerz' medal.

It turnz owt he has bin partying until the wee small 'ourz and he haz bin wurried about returning to the US coz of the fact he was 'replacement baer' and not the numero uno bear. Howeva, on his travelz he 'as told me he has met a new friend... who he wants to take bak to the U S of A.

He made me cloze my eyez whilst he put whoeva in the box, plus sum otha perzonal items ... he then jumped in himself and slammed the lid shut..........

All I could 'ere was a muffled voice calling 'seal us up and send us off'...... Sue, I can tell you was distraught, his behaviour was so rash and bizarre!!! She wanted to say goodbye properly .. instead all she cud do was hug de box.

I persawaded my Kuddler to take the box to the post office for me (god only nose wat he put in it as it was way heavy and I cudn't manage him on me own!!)

So dat is dat... RP is off back to Cal-eee- forn -eye- A... it only feels like yesterday when he landed in Blighty

I aM conzernd...

I have this bear staying with me from the US of A... he is Replacement Bear .. the Bear that Busy Bear has tried to get rid of for yearz....

any waze he arrived here last Xmaz and has bean the purfict howse guest.. he cleanzs up afta hiself and is kwite kwiet mostly but he doez have an eye for Typikally Inglish roses of a gal Bears....

I tuk him to the 'Bear All Club ' on Tuezday and he dizsappeared suddenly. Pwease keep a luk out as he is due home to Cal- ee- forn-I-A by dis Xmas

I wish I didn't have stuffing for brains because I'd like to know why.

They Bearly Noticed Us

Way hay ... we did it ... we smuggled ourselves into the huge amount of luggage that was being taken on holiday. I knew me and Replacement Bear (RP) could so it ...

It was way stuffy being stuffed in the boot (trunk for BB & our other American readers)... I must say RP and my years combined add up to a whole huge amount years and that is no way to treat us guys ... but hey we were going on holiday (in secret) so I suppose it is worth it.

Don't ask me where as there ain't no windows in a boot (trunk).

Where ever we were when the kuddlers were distracted unpacking we explored our surroundings.... fizzy booze and chocolate ... how better can this holiday get??

mmm have you noticed how RP made it head long to the 'pop'??

The weather was glorious and me & RP caught some 'rays'... I must say that the heat on the old fur made RP smell a bit!!!

After arduous days lying in the sunshine we spent the evening chilling out with the other stuffed toys Teen Kudler had taken on holiday. We played cards, told tales of our Kudlers and generally hung out ... on the last night RP appeared in my Elvis costume... my he has that accent down to a 'T'... my how we laughed.. Blue Suede Shoes is forever imprinted in my stuffing!

The biggest realisation that both RP & I had when on holiday is that some Bears do actually work for a living ... not just working at being cute and cuddly but real work!!!

This guy (Billy Bear) works his cotton socks off entertaining very small kudlers ... but hey he does have a way with the ladies oh and cows ;-)

Just thought us lazy bears could use a new look .. whatya think ???

I know BB is maxed out with her kuddlers booty skool ... and GT's kudler is having to lie down and take a nap many times in a day ..... my kuddler is maxed out at work too but at the moment is on her 'jolly's'

She has a new friend .... I am distraught.. it is a whizzy new lappytop..... she has no time for me ... however, she is about to go on holiday and I have been leaping up and down shouting 'take me .. take me!'

Yes us bears have been 'tagged' to reveal 7 weird facts about us. The fact we are stuffed toys must be number one !!! However, us bears got together and came up with 7 more. The tag was from Dear Frac :-)

My name is Barnaby

I don't have one particular 'cuddler' as I belong to a Primary school in the United Kingdom.
I have many cuddlers aged 3 to 10 years old & have no idea how old I am (I know there will be a lot of 'age envy' out there lol) nor can I add mt Bearthday to the list.

Despite all my many cuddlers I do yearn to have just one special cuddler but I have learned to accept that my life is to be passed from one person then to another. A bit like Olga really. However, I am passed to a young cuddler and have never been used as a sling shot (I have been 'sicked' on a few times but would rather not talk about that eeeew).

My role with these young cuddlers is to be whisked around the world and holiday. It is a tough old role but you know someone has to do it (I must say and hate to admit it BUT these young 'cuddlers' cuddle hard for England as they look at me as being so special....I do get exhausted with all the hugz and adventures)

Oh I even have a passport too like Olga. I have been all around the world....to Egypt, America, Hong Kong, Australia, Africa, all around Europe oh my word too many places to mention .. but I love to just come home and sit and contemplate my furry navel in the safety of my school.

When I return to school the 'cuddler' of the moment puts up a display of what we have done and where we have been.

I managed to save one adventure I had in Jersey a few years ago

There was a new arrival this Christmas and I must say at first my nose was put out of joint a bit *grumph* ........... I thought she was rather soppy. I really prefer being on my own just watching the world go by ...........

.......... but we started chatting and actually Geraldine turned out to be quite friendly and we have a lot in common including some relatives in Upper Dicker.

Apparently an older Ted makes her feel more secure and safe .......... who am I to argue? *grumph*

Please don't tell Daddy Papersurfer - he's still under the misapprehension that he's my only friend. He can get a bit jealous.

Tomorrow we're going to try and sneak out to play bingo in the village hall - I hope my arm doesn't fall off.

I Never Had a Name.

That's right, I never had a name and now I'm all smelly!

Look at me, I'm so pretty and cute but the little girl who "owned" me never named me.

She was a bit spoiled anyway and had way too many dolls. Of course most of them at least had names. Sheesh. She did like me and always kept me in very good condition. Although I seem to be missing an elastic band for one of my braids. But that's the least of my problems.

You see, I got caught in a flood and now have a moldy smell. The worst part? The grown-up lady is allergic to mold and keeps me in a Rubbermaid container with a few other smelly keepsakes. It's one nasty smell-o-ramma in here!

I'm too cute and precious for this crap! But what's a doll to do?

Here's my plea: Convince this lazy lady to give me a bath! If your comment persuades her to wash me, then you'll win this adorable handmade Blue Teddy Bear Glycerin Toy Soap!

(I hear she has another doll that needs a washing too.)

Today I got an e mail from Medstudent Wife :-)

The mail was titled 'a bear story for dear teddy' and the text simply said

' Well sort of... at least a real live birthday'....MSW :-D

Intrigued I hurried along to her little piece of Paradise and was simply bowled over ......Medstudent Wife has has given life to a brand new teddy ... you can never have enough bears in this world thats what I say....

The bear is beautiful and whats more it is KNITTED .... WTG MSW ;-)
We know how much Grumpy Ted's cuddler Daddy Papersurfer loves knitted stuff :-)

This dear teddy has no name but this is not a problem (unlike when we featured Jolly Jack Tar bear with no name). Very soon this special bear will have a brand new cuddler who I know will cuddle the stuffing out of her and give her a name that is personal to them.

MSW has given life to this bear in order that it can be sent to a child who is suffering from HIV/AIDS in countries that are less fortunate than our own...... this fabulous idea is organised by Mother Bear Projects and folk from all over the world have donated money and knitted bears for this cause.

The childrens faces are pure magic and I must say that it has brought a tear to this old teddys eye.

Everyone who has taken part is simply wonderful and I wonder if there is anything Dear Teddy can do to help?......... my cuddler has been known to knit a few things over the years and I just wonder.......???? or maybe Busy Bear could get involved ????

I have added this special bears bearthday (wow a real birth day!!) to the Janubeary Bearthday list under the name of 'ta dah me'... as she has no name as yet

You must pop over to MSW blog and see how from a ball of wool (or 2 or 3) a beautiful bear has been created that will inevitably raise a beautiful smile .....

Christmas Day came and went with RP deciding he would rather stay in the Dolls House ... ooops sorry the American Embassy rather than face a huge fat guy wearing a red suit and a big bushy beard (he says it is a scary hidden memory he has had since his child hood (or that roughly translated seems to be the jist of it) .... this bear needs some therapy I can tell you)

My Kudler thought it was time to get some fresh air after being cooped up over Christmas with out more of a to do she loaded the car with dog and me .... oh and RP
Sue was so kind she let RP borrow her special hand knitted scarf because it is way colder here than in California .....(mmmm he looks quite good in pink must keep my eye on my pink satin shoes)

WOW it is great on the beach, it was so frosty that the sand still had a layer of frost over it, a bit cold around the trossachs though!!

Kudler took us to the top of a really high sandhill so we could enjoy the sunset over Formby Beach

My it was chilly around my ears but I just could not get my hood up but a really kind passer-by helped me ... arr that's better :-)

RP just didn't seem to be feeling the cold ...I soon found out why.
He was flushed with excitement the sunset had done something to his shyness.
(I figure it is a bit like werewolves with full moons)

Suddenly RP grabbed my hand and started running, it was all I could do to keep up. I could feel my stitches stretching .... and my feet stumbling in the sand ... and then he jumped.... .......

we flew through the air with the greatest of ease and landed (thump) on to the next sandhill in a great big heap .... my how we laughed

We then played hide from the Kudler

..... and we climbed trees as only bears can ... [good grief it must be 40 years since I last climbed a tree ... it's like riding a bike you never forget how]

we had a fabulous day out and I think we have finally 'bonded' me and RP ... group bear hug

(Ahem RP please move your hand from there ...........)

I have checked and the residents of the Dolls House seem in high spirits (well as higher spirits as Victorians can get with a big brown bear squatting in their hall way)

Presents have arrived for RP and he has donned a Santa hat ... I reckon that tomorrow we maybe able to tempt him out with the smell of some good home cooking ...
Sue has been doing her bit and chatted away with him. I asked what he has said and she shrugged her shoulders and replied ' I have no idea ... perhaps BB should have come over with him to translate' (mind you I can never get a word in edge ways with Sue)

I may put Hannah Montana or High School Musical on the TV for a quick language lesson lol :-)

As you know I have RP (Replacement Bear for Busy Bear) staying over here for the Christmas Holidays ,,,, he arrived a few days ago and after meeting us Norvern folk ... promptly disappeared.

I know he ain't used to being sociable after the treatment Busy Bears Kudler gave to him but I thought for sure we could turn him around with our Northern kindness & hospitality .....

I am afraid though this has not been the case....... I found him tonight (thank goodness) housed in the Dolls House. He has put up the USA flag and has his personal teddy standing guard as security.

All I could make out from him was

'I am on American soil... this is my home .. I claim immunity'

My Kudlers Dolls House is now an American Embassy................she won't be best chuffed about that I can tell you !!

Goodness BB what on earth did you do to this bear over the years ??

Sue where are you when I need some female logic and TLC ??

I managed to finally persuade my kudler to go to the post office and see what the parcel was that was waiting for her. We had recieved the notification a few days before but as the opening hours for collection are 06.30 - 12.00 hours a day had to be chosen were kudler had time to queue up before work.

yoh the parcel is from California.... it must be Replacement Bear!!!!!

Kudler carefully removed the sellotape and opened the box.

We both stood there in silence (I am glad Sue wasn't there at the time ... she has a god awful scream)...

RP didn't appear to be breathing ... there was no movement ... I whispered to kudler

'he obviously only had enough air and food to last him the journey .. it was those 3 days lying in the Post Office that has done it!!'

I reached into the box to stroke poor RPs head and..........
He shot bolt upright, waving a flag and starting singing

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Lets just say I had to quickly change my trousers.
Kudler was creased up on the floor laughing ... when she regained her composure she says

'at least he has come prepared to work over christmas as he has brought his own tea towel' kudler hates drying dishes.. I think she was taking a dig at me....

I called Sue over now I realised RP was alive and kicking ... and she being such a doll honoured RP with a pair of reindeer earings... he did look a bit bewildered to say the least ....but they do suit him

'Welkum to the UK Reeplacmnt bear.. so pleezd to hve u heer for Kristmuz. arh home is yr home ... help yourself 2 wat u want nd hope yr stae is a cumfurtable 1'

He looked at me with a blank expression ......I don't think he understood me... it must be my Northern England accent !!!

It is not going too well !!!!
To make matters worse suddenly we were mobbed by the menagerie that Sue has in the toy box... they are out of control I tell you

'ya no my lyttle ol' Inglish cuzins, this heer bare is gonna get sum shut I...eye hv barelagg. c y'all l8r'

No idea what he said but he got back in his box and covered himself up in his tea towel

Next morning I got another shock ... the box was empty... I knew I shouldn't have left him alone with the cats........ ...... (to be continued....)

Yes I, Snowy bear, am having a special visitor all the way from the US of A to join our Christmas table in the UK..

Must tell my kuddler to set an extra place for the feast.

The 'special' visitor was placed in a carton today so I expect him here in about 10 days... so much to do, so little time and we haven't even got a single decoration up here yet .... unless you count the reindeer that has been hanging on a kitchen cupboard that the kuddler forgot about last year .. and thought it bad luck to take down after the event... sheesh!!

So watch this space for his arrival ... I am not to sure what to expect as I believe he is a bit disturbed and way hung up about stuff because he was labelled a 'substitute' , 'not my bear', 'take it away' to the main kuddler who owns him... I hope he won't be too much of a disruption??

Sue is good at TLC so must get her on board for this one... kid gloves maybe the order of the day ....

PRODUCT REVIEW – in a way

Those lovely people at Fuel My Blog arranged for some snacks to be delivered to me to try, made by Wholebake.
Unfortunately, Daddy Papersurfer got to them before I did, so I can’t say much except *grumph*.

I did notice however that the makers were probably old hippies as the bars contained hemp, had a picture of weed on the packaging and even the name, 9 Bar, has connotations with the days of ‘peace and love’. [9 Bar is a term used by dealers for a 9 ounce bar of pot – DP didn’t know anything about all this, I had to tell him].

Anyway, he said they were delicious, although he found the individual bars rather large and filling. He would have preferred there were four smaller bars rather then three large ones.
They are the sort of snack he likes, healthy and all that, but be warned, they are still quite calorific, so don’t assume healthy means non-fattening.

If Mark, who runs Wholebake, would like to send me some more, I would be very grateful. Some anti-DP device should be employed, like long words on the envelope to confuse him and then I might stand a chance of ‘getting me some’. I could go and buy some I suppose at Waitrose, Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco, Morrison’s or Holland & Barrett but I haven’t got any money – *grumph*.
