Since that time I have had thoughts of buying a new system. I looked at ads, did some window shopping and I had pretty much convinced myself to buy one. You know, just put it on my Best Buy card. I did pay that off 6 months ago so why not…

Well, no matter how badly I want a new system, I just can’t see putting the cost on another credit card. So, I start the month of May by actually using some self control and walking away from “big” credit card purchase.
(Was it easy? Not really but much easier than having to “budget” out another credit card payment!)
Have a great week.
-OTP

What can I say?

At times I find myself being obsessed about my "spending" patterns, and I'm talking major "obsession" and then just out of the blue, that disappears and I'm back to not really knowing where my money is going and why....guess I need another shot of motivation!

I don't know how

but I finally reached my goal for my emergency fund. I really can't complain bc that is for both projects.

I went a little overboard with shopping for "household" items, my goal for the next week, starting today, is not to spend anything. Why? Because I have the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the book and to become a member of the private community site. The site has numerous forums of advice and helpful hints as well as the availability of web cast by Ramit.

I got the first chapter on Monday, and since then I've actually used some of the negotiating tips and saved $35.00. So, I've actually covered the cost of the book, which was $16.47 (which included shipping, handling and taxes). And I think it was well worth the price.

The program that is discussed in the article is free and maybe worth the time to go check it out. The snow was almost knee deep and I was really concerned with the amount we were suppose to be getting.

I actually found someone who would do it for $200 dollars which is about a 1/3 less than what most people are paying around here. I figured spending $200 now is better than spending thousands later!

Hoping everyone is having a great Saturday!
-OTP

Happy New Year

Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe New Years!
Tomorrow is the beginning of a 14 day No Spending Spree!
Looking forward to seeing just how much I don't spend.

-OTP
