Someone showed me the original video and I liked it, I had some problems with it but over all I thought it was a nice way to get the message out. So I posted it right away. I stand corrected. Thank you, Sye TenBruggencate via TheChocolate Knox, that showed me this "fixed" version.

I knew this too, because false religions have a common denominator and that is there assault on the term "Justification."

We, as believers, have a beautiful religion because it is a fruit which comes from God. It starts with him and ends with him.

The religion we show is a result of what God did. It is an external response. For example, we love because he first loved us. The false religions out there have a completely different gospel. As a result they bring their filthy rags and present them to God thinking they are working their way to God. We have been made clean by Christ. The false religions make themselves clean.

Update: Some think I hate Hitch in some way, and that I am glad that he is in Hell. Nothing can be further from the truth. I am frustrated and angry at his defiance. He is my favorite of the four horsemem. I want nothing more then for all Atheists to stop the denial, and this post is a plea.

This is our philosophy through the thoughts of a daughter who was raised like my kids are.

Education not schooling.

Notice she is not a Christian per se, but its the way we raise our kids, either way. We even, as a relatively new concept, have gone as far as to try to not make our kids do things, like dishes, laundry, and cleaning up, so they can explore their environment, whatever subject they want, to encourage their curiosity and passion about things they wish to do. She might want to stay up to work on a game MOD or something, that is fine with us.

Even if you're an Atheist, I wish you would reconsider HOW you view things, and consider unschooling your children. We do, and the results are awe inspiring.

Kids need to be kids, inquisitive, passionate, and seeking. Your method (one that promotes pubic education) crushes that. Did your method REALLY teach you critical thinking? It seems you preach to the choir of public education. You would get a good pat on the head from your Shepherd for doing so. Because like Pavlov's dog, you were conditioned to desire that. That system of yours crushes potential of the individual. Doodling in class will get you reprimanded, or sent to some authority figure for punishment, in my house its celebrated and encouraged.

I just listened to a valedictorian that preached the exact sentiments of my beliefs. She got that title in the end because she 'followed' well the most. To me, that label is something to avoid. Sometimes I am not posting here because I am having conversations going on elsewhere. Case in point, Atheist Jim's blog. Here is my take on the subject and how I commented. This was the conversation with Atheist Alex, on Jim's blog:

Your binders are noted though. Its common KNOWLEDGE that its being done. "Tens of thousands of desperately hungry Somalis displaced from the drought-stricken south are not receiving the food aid meant for them. Gunmen have set up unathourised refugee camps in Mogadishu just to steal the food delivered by humanitarian agencies. It is believed the food is being sold on the local markets."

The point is that the aid is NOT getting to the kids. These thugs are stealing everything and leaving the kids to starve.

Then, evil men take picture of these kids and softly plead with you on late night TV, to "Feed these poor kids" [without telling you the news about the cartels], and take your money to give the CEO's millions in salary and even more in bonuses for their success in taking your money for their successful AD Campaign.

THIS is what the Bible calls your so called 'charity' "filthy rags" Isaiah 64:6

Before, in the conversation, I commented something to the effect that the Atheists has nothing to offer a suffering child.

I said, For a dying child, of cancer lets say, that is all you have to offer. “Tough luck? Too bad? That’s the way it goes?" That’s all that’s left for you.

You have Adam to thank for that. It was mankind's corruption, and desire to eliminate God from their lives, that got us in this mess in the first place. Creation fell when Adam fell, therefore sin, so to speak, killed creation. As a result, we live in an imperfect world, with the effects of sin running through it. We see that the universe is running down. That is, everything is moving toward chaos, becoming less organized.

Furthermore, because sin is in the world, mankind is unable to live in harmony. Nations rise against nations, and peoples against peoples. War and conflict occur with the loss of life, and with injuries to those who survive. Devastation is left in its wake. We are going to war with Iran very soon it appears. Are you ready?

When In Doubt, Deny!

It all started with Alex daring me to go onto his podcast in early September at my Facebook group. After many conversations in the group, he did not pull any punches to get me on, and also posted about it. I sent him Sye's way and what transpired was a barrage of podcasts that was highlighted before. By the grace of God, something happened though.

I just witnessed something great and I wanted to share. I listened to David Smart discussing things with Alex and Jim (as a part 5?) and it was jaw dropping and can be dissected here for months.

This was what I prepared as a comment, on Jim's blog:

I agree with David Smart completely. David almost even said what I am about to say, though I believe he was cut off before it could of been driven home.

Basically, I am a YEC as a result of my belief and understanding of Scripture. I trust God. It does NOT matter if you believe in Old earth or young earth. In fact this was one of the very first things I covered when I started my blog. You must understand that ALL of these gentlemen, in the debate I highlighted, are Christians. Old or Young...it doesn't matter. We can both tally who was right or wrong on various subjects in Heaven. But that will not ultimately matter. Just like your gripes and complaints rant about contradictions of the Bible. That is all these things are, gripes and complaints.

The difference between me and Smart, as far as what matters, is absolutely nothing. We both believe in Christ. Even if a Christan believes in evolution, as I do not, that STILL will NEVER ever, ever, affect their salvation. They can still believe in evolution, and be wrong or right, YET be completely and soundly saved. Christ is ALL that is required to be saved.

NOW, the difference between me and you Jim, is a completely different animal. I am a Christian and you are an Antichrist. (1 John 2:22, 2 John 1:7)

So no matter what you believe, be it evolution, old earth, etc. You will still go to Hell. I will not, even though I find out I was completely wrong about everything I thought was truth. (Biblical Creationism)

The point that needs to be driven home is its a non issue and an Ignoratio elenchi.

I am even more of a fan of David Smart now, if that was even possible, because of this very smart (pun) conversation. I have highlighted his work in a past post, but this discussion brought clarity to a whole 'nother level. Thanks for posting that conversation.

Mr. Smart is a sweet gentle man, and I see Christ living in him and in his world. But I am still very concerned for the two of you, Alex and Jim.

And what was all the falling all over the feet of David because he mentions your "autonomous human reasoning"? That is the paradigm of TAG, and presuppostional appologetics, at the very core so I was perplexed as to why, though I know, you then understood it and acknowledged it?

I say God was opening your heart to truth. Embrace that! I could be wrong, but I remain hopeful though. Don't deny it.

If "Fruit of the Spirit" is an ever-growing capacity of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self control in the life of the believer, then I believe we all witnessed that in David Smart. That goes for even you two, if you are intellectually honest. I was doing nothing but praising the Lord for those moments. I KNOW you saw the Spirit within David. I almost, almost, cried for both of you. I was cheering for the two of you at the very least. Then I saw the push back that was the desire of denial coming out. You want to deny there is a God, that you knows exists. David did a wonderful job at explaining EVERYTHING to you to realize the truth of God. You admit that. You STILL said that will not get you to believe in God. We AGREE. It would take a miracle for you to believe.

People do not convert people. The arguments are not intended to be convincing, we're merely commanded to speak the truth, 'convincing' is out of our hands.

So your entire podcast and post here is an irrelevant thesis to the real point.

Does God exist?

Is there a Creator of creation? THIS and THIS alone is the primer to your Atheism and your atheistic worldview. Not any of the fodder you are injecting. The semantics of old or young, evolution or Creationism are NOT the issues you're dealing with yet. Its diversions.

BTW, you cannot say "no" to the question as we pointed out numerous times. You cannot say "I don't know" as we pointed out many times also. That leaves...

So if you're an Atheist because you believe that evolution, and an old universe is truth, then you're an Atheist for all the wrong reasons ( that is if there is such a thing as a good reason, which there is not).

I am wondering why even bring the age of things up? Granted its good for discussions between Christians as intellectual stretching or exploration, in celebration of God, but we all STILL take Scripture as truth. You do not. You deny it all.

Being a YEC will never affect my salvation, even if I am wrong, but your denial of Christ certainly will. Please repent.

I just wanted to make this a post for myself to refer back to, often. It was one of the best I conversations I was a witness to, and I am sure you would agree if you take the time to listen and understand what was being said.

Jim and Alex hit that all to trustworthy deflect button as they discuss things with Sye.

I noticed Jim also used a Christopher Hitchens ploy of audio dropping out when he feels that he was being backed into a corner. Anyway, see how guarded, anticipating the responses, Alex and Jim are as they go through to fight against their worldview being exposed...speaking of dogma.

The truth of the debate goes into the realm of hatred, towards God and His followers, when Alex's comment (http://goo.gl/Fo1Nk) was exposed. Its an emotional response, not intellectual, just as the Bible claims.

Alex confirmed one of our mantras that the Christian position is that God has revealed Himself to all mankind so that we can know for certain who He is. Those who deny His existence are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness to avoid accountability to God. It is the ultimate act of rebellion against Him and reveals the professing atheist's contempt toward God. It was great to hear Sye and Eric flesh that out by 'pushing the antithesis'. Truth is refreshing after all.

Warning! The irony meter will smoke and explode many times, so be sure to have extra replacements handy.

The debate ends with ducking, with obfuscation, and rescuing devices based on presuppositions.

My boy just pointed me to this video.

He didn't know this at the time but I also just watched last night, a documentary called "Trading on Thin Air". Free on Hulu. The content was good, movie making ability, meh. But it spoke of the new "cap and trade" where someone 'in power' will issue "carbon credits" and this will be the end as we know it. It will be another fiat currency scheme, like the one we are dealing with today. A scheme watched over by the same people that failed us during THIS economic fiasco of fraud and bail outs to the "too big to fail" banks.

We need to wake up and not allow this to happen to our country. We will all be homeless soon if we do not do something drastic. They want you to think that this type of talk is "crazy" but its not. Its actually what is going on, and the reason #1 why I am, and have been, supporting Ron Paul. The ONLY one speaking of actually ending the "Federal" Reserve [private] Bank. We are smarter then this. God says "Vengeance is mine" and it will play out with the very few choking off the many in Fiat Currency schemes. That time will be soon.

When we actually do see all of this play out, you will remember this little old post that I called "Fiat Currency" and understand what was being said all along. Maybe then, just maybe, you will understand the plea by me and Repent. God WILL right this wrong regardless. Let's glorify Him for doing so, BEFORE we see it all play out, when you are all slaves to the banks. Oops, you already are.

Homeownership in the United States is a farce, we are merely renters. Stop paying your taxes and you will see who the real homeowner is.

The problem is that Penn is a no show! He disappeared in a puff of smoke... of excuses.

Penn was quoted saying,

“I’m not trained in debate. It’s turning conversation into competition. And they misrepresented me.”

“I couldn’t get through their talking, they misrepresented things and saw things as a battle and not quest for truth.”

So Penn is running away from even having a simple lunch with our friend Sye. We understand why he is doing the mental equivalent of closing his eyes, putting his fingers in his ears, and going “La la la la la la…!”

Poof, he disappeared. He is waiting for the applause back stage, and yet its strangely quiet. I guess he is just an illusion of an intellectual. I just knew it was only smoke and mirrors.

American Holocaust!

Ray Comfort's newest video called "180" was released and quickly spread over the internet because someone in his organization decided it would be perfectly safe to name the password the same as the name of the website where it resides: HeartChanger

This oversight was not the best decision, and "security" was probably not the focus to be so obvious, but all that glory goes to God for getting the word out and the message across to those that NEED to hear it and get this discussion going. Thanks Ray for the "mistake" *wink. Moving on.

This needs to be discussed, ad nauseum. Until that glorious day that this will be a thing of America's past. Its quite hypocritical that we invade countries in the name of "freedom" when we trample on the freedoms, endowed by our Creator, of some 53 million US citizens. I digress.

The current, daily, American Holocaust is some five times WORSE then anything Hitler has done in his Holocaust (by shear magnitude of the number of legal murders). Also, far worse then what was considered the first American Holocaust with the elimination, conservative estimates, of 19 million Indigenous People. Though, technically, we were not a United Nation as we are NOW. No excuses for this Holocaust. These are brute facts that we MUST own up to. Its shameful to be a part of a country that is part of such EVIL!!!! We can see how Germany must feel about their past. The only exception is that its not our past, its America's PRESENT!!!!

Of course I will want to put a presuppositional emphasis on things because that is what we do here.

Are you ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that is NOT a person in the woman's belly?

13th Floor Candidate

You want evidence that both the left wing media and Fox news are nothing more than propaganda outlets for our two headed one party system? You got it.

Rep. Michele Bachmann won the Ames straw poll, but only by 152 votes over fellow Rep. Ron Paul. That is right, Dr. Ron Paul was the original and first seed that actually grew the now Tea Party that has since branched off and also ALIENATED him. Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican that actually stands for the Republican Party's original core values of a FREE society. Today's candidates are mirroring his viewpoints that he had in the past. They certainly are not attacking him so aggressively as they did in the 2008 debates. It should matter to you, as it does me, that he is a true Constitutionalist. His record, for all these years, shows it plainly. We MUST do something about it. I disagree with some things of Ron Paul, but to shake the system up and clean house, this is our best shot to send such a strong message.

Let that rebel against the "system", inside of you, speak volumes back to these people that feel they know what is 'best for you' and that you should NOT have a voice. That is what upsets me the most. This is NOT what our Founding Fathers, and God, had in mind when they spoke of liberty. We must take back what is now becoming an out of control Empire. So, no matter if you are a Christian or an Atheist, Democrat or Independent. Even if you swear allegiance to Optimus Prime, we must stop these "Megatron" cronies from taking control.

What can we do? FIRST, we MUST register as a republican to vote for the Doctor in the primaries to send a message that we are in control. You can ALWAYS re-register to another party afterwards, but you MUST be republican to vote in the primaries. Volunteer, if you are passionate enough about getting him to office, we need you. It's sad that Jon Stewart has to give Dr. Ron Paul the coverage due! Its equally sad that Dr. Paul is being pushed aside for the candidate "THEY" want you to pick. Isn't that upsetting?

A while ago I was going to blog a post and call it "Keep Your Mohamed, We Have Prophet Paul" I never did, but here is the video I wanted to highlight.

I know this asking a lot, but I do want America to stand up and take our country back and end this Cronyism. Send the message we do not allow the power struggle to be tilted unfairly, if nothing else! Let's put the "U" back in U.S.A and unite to vote Dr. Ron Paul into Presidency. We blew it in 2008, like my boy pointed out, but we still have a chance now. We tried it your way this term, can we try mine now? I don't expect you to take my word for it though. Research it, evaluate the evidence of him, do your homework. Go watch some YouTube videos. Liberty means CHOICES. If they remove that choice, there is no liberty. Its time to choose...Liberty!

Update: To be fair, I guess not everyone on FOX is doing this, the Judge speaks truth at least.

I Was An Atheist

In a discussion with Pvblivs on his blog I ranted about being an Atheist. Here is what I said in a couple of the comments:

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?” (1 Corinthians 1: 18-20)

“The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

This is why, no matter if you believe it or not, repentance comes BEFORE knowledge of truth, not after: 2 Timothy 2:24-26

I can personally attest to that. I repented before knowing God. As a 21 year old, just out of the military Atheist, I was handed this tract by a wonderful couple that I met while being a life guard. They left such a positive impression on me that I remember thinking that she is the kind of woman that I would want to marry someday. After reading that tract, I sincerely said to Christ "If you are real, please show me." "If all this is true, then I am in real trouble, and I am sorry. Help me" and the like.

I am not an Atheist, but I played one in life

I was an Atheist because I believed my Dad and his whole worldview. I had friends that were Atheists also. I remember teasing Christians in the military that would not go drinking with us. "OK, stay here and read your Bible then" They were too uptight for my liking. I really believed we came from ape ancestry from the teachings of [public] school. I was raised in an Atheist's home.

I was an Atheist.

I will grant you the possibility there may have been a predestination for me to become a Christian, in spite of my surroundings, upbringing, and core worldview beliefs. In reflection that is a huge possibility. Much like Christians in Muslim countries. I remember thinking at a young age that my Dad must be wrong about lying for gain is the right and "business" way. But I lived, breathed, and fought as an Atheist.

At that age, 21-23, I did get reflective I will admit. I was questioning MANY things at that point towards the end of my Atheism. That couple sure made a large impression on me. Life changing impression. I remember yelling at some teenagers to get out of my office as I was trying to life guard. I cussed at them, like a Sailor. After that, not thinking anything of it, I caught the man's eyes and the look of disappointment, and concern, in his eyes shook my soul for some reason. It steadied my reasoning to be more receptive to possibilities of Jesus maybe. I am not clear exactly.

All I know is that night after "speaking" to Jesus (after receiving the tract from that couple at the end of the summer), I went out and got high with my brother. I didn't think anything of it and I moved on with my life. Then some very strange things, that I wish not to detail about right now, happened that made me question everything. That is when I picked up the Bible, for the first time in my life, to read about evil. I remember getting all frustrated that I could not find the "section" on it and decided to read it, once and for all, cover to cover. It took me three weeks. I was out of a job at the time. I was 23, and I was never the same again. I ran to the closest church, Church of Christ, to get baptized. I waited until the service was over, pulled the pastor to the side and asked what I needed to do to be baptized? They stayed after and set it all up for me, with just a few people still there. I thought, or was thinking, that was what it took to be saved. Then it took 15 more years to finally, truly, be saved. I cannot lie about it. I cannot fake it. Its the truth.

You might be right that I was never an Atheist. I was just raised as one. I was groomed as one. I associated with ONLY Atheists. I believed everything Atheists believe. I thought I was an Atheist.

All I can say with certainty is, I will never be one again.

The good question was, "why do you even care?" Although, we know the answer to that question.

I was not even going to comment on this subject because I believe the Atheists were burying themselves enough in this P.R. nightmare to not have to dignify any sort of a retort. Then last night I saw this:

Its extremely funny that even John Stewart, not the most conservative man, sides with Fox News, Huh!?, on a subject against the Atheists. That was the most hilarious part. You know you are doing the wrong thing when that is happening. Use it as a gauge even, you know, since yours is broken so often. Silly Atheists.

Also, speaking of "Just because there is a lawsuit, doesn't mean it will be successful." What appears to be a blog created for apparently this one subject. SecularSimi.blogspot.com by S. Bechman, received an answer for his numerous letters and complaints about this poster up in City hall. The answer, "It stays."

In an article it points out that,

Bechman, 51, of Simi Valley delivered a written complaint about the poster to the council at its June 25 meeting. He said he was frustrated that after sending six letters about the poster to council members over the past year, he had yet to receive a reply. Huber promised he would get back to him.

Huber, an attorney, cited legal precedent in his letter. He noted the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, "often considered to be one of the most liberal" federal appeals courts, last year ruled against another atheist, Michael Newdow, who had sued to remove the phrase "In God We Trust" from U.S. coins and currency.

Huber said the appeals court found the national motto is ceremonial and patriotic, and "has nothing whatsoever to do with the establishment of religion."

While the phrase "separation of church and state" is not found in the U.S. Constitution, the First Amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

Good question, good point, good day.

The Great Discussion

We once had the "Great Debate" between Bahnsen and Stein, but we now have a more recent debate...

It was a great debate, or what I would more accurately say, a great discussion between Sye Ten Bruggencate and Justin Schieber. No moderator needed. Nice.

I will be studying this conversation for a while, as it has some great information. One of my favorite points that Sye made, that even stood me up was when Justin, as an Atheist, wanted to point to things in the Bible for some of his justifications for his reasoning.

Sye said "I don't discuss Scripture with those that don't hold it as authoritative." Which is a great point, as I get bogged down often here doing just that, with good reason.

Sye pointed out, and I am paraphrasing here, that we all have rescuing devices. We're going to interpret Scripture with the revelation that God does not lie. You will interpret it with your "subjective" view of logic. I can reconcile certain things the Bible says to a Christian, and we do. I am not going to reconcile with non Christians because you are going to bring your assumptions that God doesn't exist, that God can lie... ...If you are not entering with the assumptions that God cannot lie then you are entering with an incorrect assumption and there is no reason to discuss anything about God or the Bible with you. You're going to come in with your interpretation, just as I am going to come in with my interpretation based on God's revelations.

But the thing is though, the most important point here, that you are unable to UNDERSTAND or know the truth UNTIL you repent. Repentance comes BEFORE knowledge of truth, not after: 2 Timothy 2:24-26

Many have been trying to show you the truth so that you can repent, but that's wrong, you will not be able to see the truth UNTIL you repent. Huge difference.

Its worth listening to...over and over again...you know,...until it sinks in.

Update: Justin does, towards the end, get bogged down in the discussion of morals. As it was pointed out in an older post called "Atheists Assume Morality" (bit.ly/assmorals), Justin was still never able to justify morality. This was the point of that post, in that as Meister states, "By arguing for a belief in or knowledge of morality without providing a justification for morality, atheists confuse moral epistemology (moral knowledge) with moral ontology (foundation existence of morality)."

Ding Ding, Round Three?

We have had many discussions here about these debates at great length. We poke at each other in these discussions, we have had some laughs, we get frustrated, but we all have a goal on truth. That is something, I hope, we can all be in agreement of.

It is very important for everyone to understand that we do love Paul, and all Atheists here. Paul is doing all of us a great service for the glory of God in these debates, and for that, we thank him. We all want that clay of Paul to be softened and we will give all that glory to God when that happens. If not, at the very least, he understands that "If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees." ~C.H. Spurgeon

Sye and Eric recap the debate afterwords here, and they bring us some very important points that need to be understood about what is actually going on. It will help to understand the background and purpose of our intentions, if nothing else.

Atheism, A Viable Position?

Let's ask Gary, who responds with,

Atheism is not a viable position: Why?

1) It is impossible to prove there is no being having the attributes of power, intellect and morality commonly attributed to the supreme being we call God.

Atheists themselves admit this. Thus having no possible proof of their position, it requires blind faith alone to sustain it. Incredible arrogance is also within them to assume there is no God.

2) It is impossible to use anything at all in the known universe as evidence of no God.

This is self-evident.
Thus atheism has no evidential foundations and cannot by any artifice of language be logical.

3) To claim there is no God requires infinite knowledge of all things, or, sufficient knowledge of the entire universe (and/or multiverse, if true) -which is impossible to obtain in one human life time- to be able to point to reasonable proof.

4) The belief that there is no God is thus based on blind faith alone since no evidence of his non-existence exists.

Yet atheists refuse to believe all evidence of any kind for his existence, therefore they live in perpetual, willful denial of 10s of 1000s of observed realities.

5) Atheism claims there are no absolutes, logical or other.

But they are absolutely sure of this, thus creating an absolute of their own and contradicting themselves henceforth at every turn - as we also see here at every post Dan submits.

Without logical absolutes, nothing can ever be proved.

But, we have proof of many things therefore logical absolutes exist.

"If nothing is self-evident, nothing can be proved. Similarly if nothing is obligatory for its own sake, nothing is obligatory at all." ~The Abolition of Man

6) Moral absolutes exist.

Values that are always true transcendent, independent of anyone's opinion and independent of time or place.

But, atheists are obliged to deny this.

Yet, in spite of this, they persist, every moment as we have already witnessed here, in assuming the existence of moral absolutes by criticizing things they believe are morally wrong.

They are, in every case, appealing to a moral law they assume exists, and that they assume is absolutely true every single time they do this.

7) Atheism thus requires, by default, the denial objective truth.

They often say, "There is no truth".

But if the statement, "there is no truth" is true, then it cannot be true!

For if there is no truth, then nothing anyone ever says or thinks is ever true, including the statement "THERE IS NO TRUTH".

Thus atheists live in cognitive dissonance believing things that are obligatorily self-contradictory.

Worse, as we witness here, they are constantly making statements they believe are objectively true! All while denying objective truth. Amazing.

Relativism is thus the only morality atheists can have. Relativism unfortunately, is self defeating since relativism itself must be relative. Relativism is thus, itself, a position with no meaning.

Therefore, atheists are indeed "imprudent and misguided scholars who reason badly".

And so, "Atheism turns out to be too simple. If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning; just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning."

Atheism is thus deep foolishness and escapism and nothing more.

Curiously enough God still loves atheists, despite their utterly insufferable blindness.
