Help Our Ministry in the Philippines

We took a lot of video during our visit to the Philippines (thanks to Chance Glasco). This video explains the ministry over there that's run by my dad. We would appreciate it if you helped support the ministry - which is directly involved with hundreds of pastors, teachers and over ten-thousand kids.

Firefox 3.5 Released

Earlier today, Mozilla released the final build of Firefox 3.5, the popular open source web browser available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

In addition to having vastly improved the rendering speed of both HTML and JavaScript, other notable features include a Private Browsing Mode, location-aware browsing, downloadable fonts, HTML5 support, and support for the <video> and <audio> elements with Ogg-encoded content.

Ghoti Hook - "Just Fools" and "Never" (Live)

We never played "Never", but we did for this show. It's my favorite song I ever wrote. I just love the guitar harmonies.

It was my attempt at writing sometihng J.S. Bach would have wrote if he were punk rock, and Asian, and really good with the ladies.

Ghoti Hook - "My Bike" and "Shrinky Dinks" (Live)

I had so much fun at this show it's crazy.

I pulled out all my jumps. I used bacon for a pick (which I ate). And no zombies were allowed into the show.

Between these two songs, we really show our age. Kids starting moshing at the beginning of "My Bike" and Joel said later that the first thing he thought was, "Oh crap. Someone is going to get hurt." Same thing occurred to Adam, who even says something in between these two songs.

The other thing that shows our age is after the show we were talking about how we used to go on tour using... wait for it... wait for iiiiiiit... an atlas. We might have as well been using the stars to guide us, traveling in covered wagons.

Here's part one of The Huntingtons reunion show.

These are the things you need to be looking out for. They play their instruments lower than any other band ever. This is the drummer whose wife this whole thing was put on for. The person who is having the best time is Mook, in the front row. Each song is fifteen seconds long.

Mike Holt, the lead singer, posted their set list on the message board.

This video has great sound. No one ever gets good sound at shows. I love it. I also love eating spam with rice and ketchup, so I don't know if you should put too much weight into what I love.

Hopefully this is just the first of many clips of the Ghoti Hook show. A couple things to look out for. I'm in the background. Okay, not a couple of things, just one thing. Well, Jamie does almost take out his teeth right away when he steps on the mic stand. And we're not all old and fat. Well fat anyways, we're old.

Huntingtons/Ghoti Hook Benefit Concert Results

The benefit show, that reunited Ghoti Hook and the Huntingtons for a night, did very well. It raised $5,000 for the Huntingtons original drummer's wife who is battling brain cancer. I had a chance to talk to Mike Pierce at the show and he was telling me how difficult this is for them.

He posted this on the Decap message board

I just wanted to thank everyone who came to the show. It was great to see old friends. I want to thank the guys in Ghoti Hook it really meant a lot to me that you guys played. And also to 274 and Speedy Delivery and MLR. And especially to Mike Cliff and Josh. And Conrad it was great seeing you and talking with you. I always really looked up to you for being so strong in your faith. And you helped out the Huntingtons a lot letting us play your stage at Cornerstone. But once again thanks you to everyone that came to the show. With out the fans these band would be nothing. Weather you where a Huntingtons fan or a Ghoti Hook fan it didn't matter. It was a great time of music and fun in a dark time in my life.

It's my awesome wife's birthday. For her birthday we went to the Shenandoah Mountains where we smiled at each other for 15 miles straight.

Then we went to Luray Caverns and got lost. I am posting this article from there because we haven't found our way out. Fortunately for us, there's WIFI down here.

New Info For Huntingtons & Ghoti Hook Reunion Show

Cliffy just posted this on the Decap message board about the show where the original members of Huntingtons and reuniting for a benefit show - and where I will be playing with Ghoti Hook for a few songs.

Fred And The Savages - 6:00pm to 6:45pm
Main Line Riders - 6:45pm to 7:30pm
274 - 7:30pm to 8:15pm
Speedy Delivery - 8:15pm to 9:00pm
Ghoti Hook - 9:00pm to 10:00pm
Huntingtons - 10:00pm to 11:00pm

There are two stages, both will be utilized.

We've moved the show to the larger Circle Of Hope venue (1125 South Broad St, Phila, PA 19147). This is not an official COH show, they're just letting us use their building. Please do not contact COH for information.

You probably didn't comprehend anything after I wrote I would be performing a couple songs with Ghoti Hook. That probably blew your mind. You're all like, "Holy Crap! Conrad is performing with Ghoti Hook? Wait, who's Ghoti Hook? Weren't they that group that went to churches and did those human videos to Carmen songs? Dude, I loved them. I'm so there."
