Chris Jean writes 160 episodes for season two of national television series America Now. Produced by ITV Studios and Raycom Media, “America Now” is a half hour news magazine anchored by popular television personalities Leeza Gibbons and Bill Rancic.

Gibbons is one of television and radio’s most popular talk show hosts, with a career that includes her own NBC/syndicated talk show “Leeza,” co-hosting “Entertainment Tonight” and “Extra,” as well as the ABC phenomenon “Dancing with the Stars.”  She is currently the host of her own radio show “Leeza Gibbons’ Hollywood Confidential.” Gibbons has also been honored by the Congressional Award in Washington, D.C. and she has been one of the country’s leading advocates for Alzheimer’s research, establishing the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and founding Leeza’s Place in 2003.  Rancic is a world renowned entrepreneur, New York Times best-selling author and appears as a financial expert on many television programs, including the Emmy-nominated Rachael Ray Show as Rachael’s “financial buddy.”  Rancic is also the winner of the first season of NBC and Donald Trump’s The Apprentice and co-star of Style Network’s reality series Giuliana and Bill.

Jean returns to “America Now” for season two in an expanded role, having previously contributed as a writer on the inaugural season.  His work on the series currently airs on 43 stations in all 36 Raycom Media markets representing 13 percent of the country, including powerhouse stations WOIO in Cleveland, WBTV in Charlotte, WXIX in Cincinnati, WMC in Memphis and WAVE in Louisville.  In addition to “America Now,” Jean’s broadcast writing credits include Dr. Phil, The Doctors and numerous primetime scripted series for Fox Television and MyNetworkTV.

Held from March 2nd through March 4th, 2012, the festival seeks to bring the world of film to the amazing city of New Orleans while bringing the amazing variety of New Orleans music to the world. Giving filmmakers an opportunity to screen their work in what is the most creative city in the U.S., while providing a fall-time opportunity to experience some amazing Big Easy music.

Chris Jean hired by NuContext to direct creative for new series on Fuse.  The property, Talking to Strangers, is a hybrid interview and live performance series hosted by recording artist CeeLo Green.  Green rose to fame as one half of Gnarls Barkley, a duo whose hit single Crazy won a 2007 Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance.  In 2011, Green won another Grammy in the same category–this time as a solo artist–for his hit single F*ck You.  Additionally, Green serves as a judge on NBC’s hit series the The Voice, a primetime talent show for aspiring singers.   Premiering in June 2011 on Fuse, “Talking to Strangers” will feature interviews with and live performances from some of the hottest artists in music.

Chris Jean directs New York, Seattle, Denver and Chicago segments of USA Network and The Moth Theater’s “Characters Unite,” a multi-part documentary and podcast series pairing the Moth with USA’s “Characters Welcome” brand campaign. The initiative brings storytelling to select high schools in the five cities of the Characters Unite National Tour. Ten students, chosen from written essays, participate in four after-school workshops with Moth professionals to develop their own five-minute story about an experience with prejudice and power. The stories are told live at a school assembly so the entire student body can share in the experience. Chris Jean hired by NuContext to direct creative for high-profile series launch on Oxygen.  The property, The World According to Paris, is a new non-fiction series following provocative heiress Paris Hilton as she enters the next stage of her life: adulthood.  Determined to leave her reputation for partying behind, Paris buckles down and focuses on family, friends and business to show audiences across the nation a never-before-seen side of the world famous socialite. The new series with Oxygen Media marks Hilton’s return to television, where she previously made waves with Fox and E! Network’s The Simple Life alongside fellow jet-setter Nicole Richie.

Decipher Pictures and TEE-M’s Hallucination is an Official Selection of the 4th Annual Cannes Independent Film Festival during the world’s largest and most prestigious festival and film market at the Festival de Cannes in legendary Cannes, France.  The Cannes Independent is a major event at the Festival de Cannes in much the same way that Slamdance lends itself to Sundance in the United States: catering to independent filmmakers whose films and formats do not have categories at the larger festival.  The screening represents Hallucination’s Western European premiere.
