Mike Crawley set out on Sunday 5^th of May to run 100 ultra-marathons in 100 days which is a total of 3275 miles, and once he has completed this he will be partaking in the Three Peaks Challenge. This is definitely not a charity event for the faint hearted but Mike is only a couple of months away from his 67^th Birthday making this even more impressive.

The charities work starts with the rehabilitation and proving that there is a life after amputation, their work is about amputee helping amputee – the fellowship of shared experience. Their youngest Member is 19 and our oldest is 99.

The successful candidate will build upon our existing client base and will ensure that the highest standards of compliance and quality are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record within the asbestos industry and should be able to demonstrate the ability to expand our client base through the addition of his or her own contacts.

The individual will have good business acumen and sound commercial knowledge as the role will involve estimating of contracts and management of our project database ensuring that all tenders are priced in a timely manner and tracked through until invoicing. They must also possess the ability and knowledge to increase sales, whilst maintaining a solid margin.

A good understanding of the regulations and governance that underpin the asbestos industry is a pre-requisite and the individual must be able to provide demonstrable evidence of planning asbestos abatement projects and be proficient in the preparation of plans of work and risk assessments

Structural alteration packages to numerous shop units within Wandsworth shopping centre.

During a fundamental refurbishment and alteration programme, we carried out numerous packages on a number of units within the centre to either join units together, extend units, structurally alter shop fronts and install lift and escalator pits.

Deconstruct also carried out asbestos surveys and removal works. Throughout the project, noise and nuisance to the operational centre had to be kept to an absolute minimum.

Deconstruct contracted to remove escalators, travelators, lifts, podiums, and significant redundant plant from tourist attraction the Trocadero, London.

The client was preparing for a significant construction phase of development on this structure and required the removal of all plant and escalators from within the substantial central core area over 7 floors.

The Trocadero had famously been converted from the Sega Centre in 1994 and had created a substantial central atrium area where “Rocket” escalators travelled from ground to fourth floors, and travelators crossed the atrium at 5th and

6th floor.

To remove these escalators, significant design scaffold with fire retardant boards had to be installed.

New basement area to provide teaching areas (as part of a fundamental refurbishment plan) at St Patricks Church, Soho.

Deconstruct created a new basement area under St Patricks Church. This involved MoLAS having a watching brief on excavation over structures preceding its construction dating back to 1778.

Creating the new basement included supporting structures and the creation of a basement area 22m by 9m wide to a depth of 4m.

Other fundamental structural alterations were carried out to bring this historic structure firmly into the 21st century.

Removal of asbestos containing materials from former recording studios, prior to conversion into a hotel.

Deconstruct were contracted to demolish the adjoining office building at Carlisle Street and strip the St Anne’s Court building back to shell and core.

Asbestos was present throughout both properties and had to be completely removed prior to demolition and strip out.

The majority of the asbestos was asbestos insulation board (AIB) located behind the acoustic panelling within the basement recording studios.

Removal of asbestos containing materials from occupied high rise residential buildings in Shepherds Bush, London.

Over the course of 6 months Deconstruct teams were engaged in the removal of asbestos insulation board, duct cladding and wall panels throughout the residential tower blocks at the Charecroft Estate.

The cladding and panelling was typically located in kitchens and hallways, which meant that residents had to leave their properties for the day to enable tented enclosures to be constructed.

Enclosures were formed, asbestos removed, enclosures tested and site cleared each day to allow the resident to return to a safe environment that same day.
