			<description>Its not from personal experience,and the people from who i have heard it did not practice the warrior diet but the anabolic diet.Essentially they noticed that in order to lower body fat you must first try to lower dietary fat.I am not a great source to ask though since back when i first&amp;nbsp; practiced the WD my cheat days were limited so i had not that much of the problem.When i stopped the WD i went overboard and gained a lot of weight and now i am trying to get on track. &lt;img src="http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif" alt="Cheesy" border="0" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good luck!&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<title><![CDATA[Noob, with a question.]]></title>

			<description>Hey y&amp;#39;all,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;m a 25 yo old male, 6&amp;#39; tall, and currently weigh about 198 lb, 8 oz. I&amp;#39;ve been doing the Warrior Diet somewhat closely for the past two weeks. I say somewhat closely, since the last time I read the book was close to month ago, and I started the diet the Monday before last. I&amp;#39;ve adapted it a little using more &amp;quot;paleo&amp;quot; eating principles, such as a reduction in grains and dairy, and I&amp;#39;ve cut out dairy entirely this week, and have only allowed smaller amounts of rice, and only had wheat at one meal since that Monday. I drink one Muscle Milk shake after my morning workout, one at midday, and until a few days ago, one before bed, and I otherwise eat only fruit during the undereating part. For the overeating phase, I&amp;#39;ve been following Ori&amp;#39;s recommendations by starting with a (usually simple) green salad, and then meat or fish and vegetables, with a handful of almonds at the end. I know I haven&amp;#39;t been consuming enough cruciferous veggies, so I definitely need to up that. For exercise I&amp;#39;ve been using the book Pushing Yourself to Power by John Peterson, which primarily uses bodyweight and self resistance exercises, and I&amp;#39;m impressed with the results.&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, my energy has been great the last two weeks and I&amp;#39;ve felt incredible compared to before, although I have been taking the lion&amp;#39;s share of supplements. My main concern is that I haven&amp;#39;t really noticed any weight loss. I know that sheer pounds aren&amp;#39;t the most reliable indicator of fat loss, but the scale hasn&amp;#39;t budged and I&amp;#39;m concerned. I lost about 2 lb after the first three days, but nothing since then. I do have slightly more visible muscle definition, but I&amp;#39;m a guy who can crash diet for three days *NOTE: I know this is not healthy, and not good for long term weight loss, so please don&amp;#39;t focus on this little bit of my post*, lose ten pounds and look much thinner, so not seeing that needle move is somewhat disheartening. A 2lb a week weight loss is generally considered the norm for a dieter, and I doubt I&amp;#39;ve gained 4lb in muscle mass in a mere two weeks, besides I should weigh more like a buck eighty.&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;d be ever so grateful if anyone here has any suggestions, or sees anything that I am doing wrong. 			<title><![CDATA[They Say The Third Time is a Charm! 1st Week Testimony.... ]]></title>

I&amp;#39;m back!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &lt;img src="http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/Smileys/default/smiley.gif" alt="Smiley" border="0" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was having great success with this diet, but life and family intruded and I fell off the Anti-Estrogenic wagon and gained everything back...&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;(and more)...&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;So, I actually hesitated about posting anything here.... because I kind of feel like a failure, because of starting before.... and then letting life pull me back into my old bad habits....but, they say if at first you don&amp;#39;t succeed.... TRY TRY AGAIN!... and I decided that there were probably a lot of other people like me... who have tried so many other diets and lost weight and then gained it all back again...&amp;nbsp; So instead of feeling guilty about past failures, I choose to feel proud of my determination to try again!&amp;nbsp; There is something about this diet that rings true with me...&amp;nbsp; I know that it works and I know that I feel good when I&amp;#39;m on it...so, here I am again... and I have just finished my first week on the Anti Estrogenic diet...and had even better results than I had last time!&amp;nbsp; I am excited and hopeful that I will have the strength and stubborn determination to stick with it this time, so that I can get rid of this excess weight.&amp;nbsp; I&amp;#39;m sick and tired of being sick and tired!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My first week back on the diet, I lost 26 pounds!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;(I&amp;#39;m sure a lot of that was water weight, but I will take it!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;img src="http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/Smileys/default/shocked.gif" alt="Shocked" border="0" /&gt; Even more important, I lost inches!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;img src="http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/Smileys/default/shocked.gif" alt="Shocked" border="0" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I lost 4 inches from my bust.&lt;br /&gt;I lost 6 inches from my waist!&amp;nbsp; (WOW)&lt;br /&gt;I lost 3.5 inches from my hips.&lt;br /&gt;I lost 2.5 inches from my thigh.&lt;br /&gt;I lost 2 inches from my calf!&lt;br /&gt;I lost 1.5 inches from my upper arm.&lt;br /&gt;I lost 1 inch from my wrist.&lt;br /&gt;I lost 1/2 inch from my neck.&lt;br /&gt;ALL OF THIS IN ONLY ONE WEEK ON THE DIET!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I first start this diet, I always feel pretty rough for the first few days...&amp;nbsp; I think it is my body getting rid of&lt;br /&gt;the toxins and adjusting to having real food as fuel.&amp;nbsp; Plus, I&amp;#39;ve also completely cut out soft drinks and I was drinking as much&lt;br /&gt;as two 2 liter bottles of Pepsi a day, before I got back on this diet.&amp;nbsp; So, the caffeine withdrawal is probably a lot of what I feel at first.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But, after only a week on the diet,&amp;nbsp; I&amp;#39;m already feeling better.&amp;nbsp; Before starting this diet, my legs and feet were so swollen and they&lt;br /&gt;ached so badly.&amp;nbsp; I only had one pair of shoes that fit my feet anymore, (my tennis shoes, with laces stretched&lt;br /&gt;out as far as they could go)&amp;nbsp; My feet are already starting to fit back into my shoes again!&amp;nbsp; and my legs and feet&lt;br /&gt;are not nearly as sore or swollen as they were.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I&amp;#39;m hoping that soon, I&amp;#39;ll be able to wear my wedding ring again!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, I went to my dad&amp;#39;s nursing home, and several of the nurses actually noticed&lt;br /&gt;that I&amp;#39;d lost weight (after only 1 week on a diet).&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;They asked me about what I was doing&lt;br /&gt;to lose the weight.&amp;nbsp; I was telling them about the Anti-Estrogenic Diet.&amp;nbsp; At least 6 of them&lt;br /&gt;are wanting to see the book and try the diet.&amp;nbsp; As I was leaving, the head of the nursing home&lt;br /&gt;called to me, and asked me about the diet I was on, because she&amp;#39;s wanting to lose weight.&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;m bringing them my book tomorrow.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It would sure be neat to have some other friends who&lt;br /&gt;were doing the same thing, at the same time... We could help inspire eachother and we could&lt;br /&gt;share recipes and ideas....and things like that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, if there are others of you out there who have fallen off the Anti-Estrogenic Diet wagon,&lt;br /&gt;.... I pray that God will give you the strength to rise up and take control of what you eat, instead of&lt;br /&gt;letting food control you....&amp;nbsp; and give it a try again!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I hope I can be an encouragement to you.&lt;br /&gt;If there are others of you who are just starting, I also hope we can work together and encourage&lt;br /&gt;eachother, to reach our goals!&amp;nbsp; I have a LOT of weight to lose and I know that this is going to have to&lt;br /&gt;be a lifestyle change.&amp;nbsp; I know the weight will not melt off overnight, but it took a long time to put it on too!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ori, thanks for the diet!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;Right now, my concern is losing weight, &lt;br /&gt;but maybe someday, &lt;br /&gt;after I lose all of this excess weight,&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;ll want to try and become a Warrior!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<description>I did some additional reading about crucifers on the internet.&amp;nbsp; There seems to be different ideas about whether or not it is beneficial to eat raw crucifers.&amp;nbsp; I also saw the part about raw crucifers being bad for the thyroid.&amp;nbsp; The question is, how bad?&amp;nbsp; To say that something is good or bad is such an ambiguous statement.&amp;nbsp; If I blended small to moderate amounts of crucifers, would the good outweigh the bad?&amp;nbsp; I also wonder how much an effect the Vitamix has on the vegetables.&amp;nbsp; The Vitamix will tear the vegetables up quite a bit more than chewing can.&amp;nbsp; If you leave it in there long enough it will even make it hot.&amp;nbsp; How close to cooking would that be?&amp;nbsp; How much of the nutrients would still be intact compared to steaming the vegetables?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<description>Unknowingly I have been following the Warrior Diet for about six months now. I decided I&amp;#39;d listen to my body for once and what my body WANTS is the WD!&amp;nbsp; I eat no breakfast, have a snack in the am (okay it&amp;#39;s usually a bag of Doritos), go work out, eat an apple in the pm, then have whatever I want between 6 and 8 in the evening which translates to a regular meal (though somewhat smaller than usual) and a bowl of shredded wheat before bed. &lt;br /&gt;I haave tons of energy and never feel deprived.&amp;nbsp; I had noticed I&amp;#39;d fallen in this pattern, and called it the &amp;quot;Doritos and apple diet&amp;quot; which sounded lunatic, but it is working just fine for me. So I goofed around on the internet and found you guys.&amp;nbsp; Who knew?? So now I&amp;#39;m just lookign for ways to refine this thing I found.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;m a small military female, not into bodybuilding but go to the gym to run, and do a few weights to get ready for my PT test.&amp;nbsp; So...any advice will be welcome and I&amp;#39;ll keep reading others&amp;#39; posts as well.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<description>Danno 3000, you&amp;#39;re so right! Thank you for your advice. Well, I know it was depression and me feeling bored on the trip which made all this happen. But now I know how to behave when I go on a business trip, as I see the consequences. I also think that nuts shouldn&amp;#39;t be underestimated. Some people do well eating a certain amount, for others it&amp;#39;s the switch to binging and their downfall. Also I think I was just missing B-Vitamins (I had left the supplement at home), because I know that my tummy doesn&amp;#39;t tolerate nuts and even then I ate them excessively. At home I cover my B-Vitamin needs with a special supplement or with brewer&amp;#39;s yeast, which helps.&lt;br /&gt;@Foukatou: HIT is impossible for me at the moment because I have a knee injury. I can only do lower impact cardio (elliptical, swimming, fast walking,...) and weights. 			<description>&amp;nbsp;Theres really nothing that will get rid of your binge but time, man. You could stress and stress and stress over it endlessly and end up harming your body in the long run with short term, ridiculous measures to correct your binge. But try and remember that stress is what made you binge, stress isn&amp;#39;t going to help undo your binge. Whats done is done and now you just need to wait it out while you refocus on healthful eating and let that work for you.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;Just re-adjusting how your eating, like you&amp;#39;ve done, is enough. It&amp;#39;s just gonna take some time man. What I think would be more useful than trying to fix it as quickly as possible is to really analyze the emotional reasons behind the binge and work it out so you never have a binge again. Learn something from it other than how to correct it after its happened. Because binging sucks, but what sucks worse is letting it become a cycle of uncontrolled binge/correct binge/correct binge/correct (essentially bulimia).&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

			<description>isnt it great when we all find things that work for us an individuals!&amp;nbsp; thats rocks dano!&amp;nbsp; &lt;img src="http://www.defensenutrition.com/forum/Smileys/default/wink.gif" alt="Wink" border="0" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;@labrat, i expect no respect, im simply posting about my experience with certian methods espoused by ori, and IFing. you&amp;nbsp; have been pretty critical of some of those methods, and thats not about me, but i enjoy stating my case. i really dont care if a person needs to eat a gallon a popcorn every two hours with butter, if it makes you healthy and strong, rock on lab.&amp;nbsp; if a person gets healthy water fasting or eating one low carb meal a day, or carb cycling, great.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;i dont knock other peoples methods, but i am happy that someone like ori has put out a book that seems to help some people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;im really starting to understand why so many warrior diet followers, old moderators included dont spend a lot of time and energy on forums.&amp;nbsp; diet and exercise is too complex and issue, and too many people need make what works for them work for everyone.&amp;nbsp; gets to be a jerry springer situation.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; glad you&amp;#39;re having a great life, stay away from atkinssssss . lol.&amp;nbsp;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;
