Leopard print is a trend that doesn't age even if some of the aged should retire it - Liz McDonald in Corrie! There is a leopard print for every item of clothing down to the all important umbrella. There are shoes (boots, pumps, wedges, heels), scarves, tops, dresses, tights, leggings, skirts, headbands, everything! Although going head to toe is to be avoided! Wearing a little brings out the vixen in you and is the ideal way to bring your outfit from day to night and still stay classy.

You can incorporate some leopard with any trend this season, add it to the military trend as these colours compliment each other. It also combines well with the nude tones using a scarf, headband or shoes and makes it dressy for the after work drinks on a Friday without a complete a total outfit overhaul! The clashing prints trend can use this trend the best because you're not looking to match but be aware of creating an eye sore and stick with the more neutral prints to clash or colours that compliment each other. Ice-cream colours can use the leopard print too but be careful that you don't look like you're trying to hard, it's probably easier to stay on the nude side of this palette.

Leopard print is also available in colours other than the traditional browns and blacks. The other colours are really fun to work with and bring out the best of your ice-cream and nude colours.

Bit of Bling

We all love a bit of bling be it on an outfit, our necks or the third finger of the left hand! We love it because it makes us feel dressed up, glamorous and above all confident. Because when we look good, we feel good! This season grubby gold is in (according to Vogue) but i always say wear whatever jewellery you feel most comfortable in and makes the best of your outfit. Put your best foot forward!

This season your bling can be in a statement necklace, over-sized ring, headbands and shoes! Dress it up and sparkle! The high street do great diamond looking jewellery that can suit any budget. If you want to step it up a notch then try Diamonque, the latest craze in cheaper diamonds. Diamonique is the name given to the synthetic gems sold through the QVC television shopping network. This cubic zirconia jewellery is perfect for your "bit of bling" as they are nice and sparkly and look like the real thing without being overly "fake" looking. Perfect for getting the third finger ready for that all important question!

For the headband craze you can dress up any headband at home with stick-on gems from your local fabric shop, add some flowers or some stick-on studs thus combining all kinds of trends and you're ready for anything! This idea is great if you're entering the many Ladies Day competitions during the racing season as you can be really original.

This stick-on idea can also work for all of your shoes - pumps, sandals, wedges and heels. The bling can bring tired or boring shoes to life without costing too much cash or investing in new shoes! Another great recession idea!

Festival Fashion

It's that time of year again, festivals time! Why does it always rain for Oxegen? The one weekend of summer that Kildare needs dry weather!

Anyway the wellies that are regulatory at these festivals are all over the high street but if you want something different then the wedge boot is just perfect! Or the biker boot trend is good too as your feet will stay dry and you can't leave them in the mud too easily! Team either of these with leggings, shorts or dresses if you dare! My one tip that everyone should stick with is NO DENIM, it doesn't dry for hours and will leave you feeling miserable, clammy and yuck! I recommend cotton all the way or lycra for the very brave!

Shorts and leggings are the easiest festival wear as they cover every type weather that you will encounter. Shorts are perfect because if it rains, you just wipe down the legs and go to the next gig! Leggings are so warm for the evening and comfy to sleep in should the need arise. Throw an over-sized shirt and a few t-shirts in the bag and mix and match for the weekend. Layers are key as it can get chilly in those tents.

This season a key item is the lightweight parka which will help to keep you dry and cosy. Pick one with a million pockets for your phone, cash, energy bar, drink (non-alcoholic of course!) and your festival guide! The parka goes with all of the festival trends and will work with the rest of your summer wardrobe too. Recession friendly!

Backpacks and bumbags were all over the catwalks this season. Personally the bumbag died in the 90's but the backpack is an easy way of carrying your bits and pieces during the day. There are loads on the high street and Deja Vu have some lovely ones from Ralph Lauren.

And lastly jewellery. You need a few pieces that will work with every outfit as you don't want to spend the day in the tent getting ready! Choose bangles that can be layered together or worn alone. I would try to avoid dangly earrings or hoops as they can be a health hazard but smaller earrings are perfect and if you feel asleep in them then so what! Beads are perfect for the hippy festival look so try to work them in somewhere too!

No this is not a hippy movement, it's a more sophisticated take on flowers. Pretty dresses and tops in pastels and bright summer colours. Flower accessories, bags, scarves. This fashion trend can be added to an outfit in any way you feel. Accessories are the best way to give the nod to any trend and keep up with the fashion pages without bursting your recession pockets! Just add flowery, chiffon scarf for that floaty, girly look or use the scarf as a headband for an extra edge to the girlyness. Pin a flower to your jacket or cardie or even your shoes and you're sorted!

If you want to hit the ground running with this trend then a floaty feminine dress is the way to go. This season's colours range from pastel ice-cream colours to bright blocks of colour so you can pick and choose from a wide range of dresses. To add an edge to the dress for everyday wear then a pair of biker boots fits the bill. For that all important evening BBQ, a denim jacket to bring your dress from day to night wear. For festival wear this is perfect for tramping through the fields!

If the dress options is just that little too girly there are loads of tops and tunics to choose from. A pair of shorts or stone wash skinny jeans and a pair of wedges look great under these girlicious tops. Stack up the bangles and away you go! For the tunic option add a pair of jeggings or cropped leggings and wedges to complete the look.

Mulberry made it in all colours to work with the many different trends for this season but it will also carry you through to Autumn/Winter. Tribal Trend

Tribal sounds so intense and time consuming but just a few choice accessories and you're ready for a safari! It's been said that grubby gold is the metallic of choice for the season which works perfectly with the tribal trend or of course anything wooden, be it necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Pile up the bangles in all the key colours and you're bang on trend! The chosen colours are burnt orange, khaki green and beige. But of course your trusty pearl necklace and earrings will also work and give you that toned down tribal look so that you won't be trying too hard nor will you need to spend too much cash as pearls work with everything and will never let you down. Just be sure to buy them yourself as the old wives tale says they cause tears when bought by someone else.

For shoes there's the ultra trendy clog made cool again by Chanel and are everywhere on the high street in all shapes and sizes but if they're not to your taste then stick with the wedge which works with everything! And not forgetting the trusty flip flop in gold or any of the chosen colours.

Throw it all together with a brown satchel a la Alexa Chung and her Mulberry Alexa and you're on your way :)

Well maybe not a hat but its the one day of the year when you can wear feather and not feel foolish! There are so many types of head pieces that it's best to shop around and look for a colour that highlights a colour of your dress or accessories. We have just stocked the jewellery line Art Form. Each unique piece is designed in New Ross, Co. Wexford and is then hand made in Arklow, Co. Wicklow.

They are designed with precious stones that are chosen in accordance with ancient views that conclude that each stone has its own type of healing power. For example i have a number of pieces made with Garnet which is known for being the birthstone for January. Garnet is also the Zodiac stone for the constellation of Aquarius. As a mineral specimen, garnets usually have well-shaped and complex crystals and their colour and lustre can make them very beautiful.

Also the Tiger Eye with its bands resembles an eye of tiger, so it is received its name due to this similarity. Healing properties of the Tiger eye are that it relieves high blood pressure. Tiger eye wear is very helpful in the presence of following diseases: bronchial asthma, kidney, rheumatic heart disease and psoriasis. The mystical powers say that it is used to focus the mind. It is also said that Tiger Eye offers protection during travel, strengthens convictions and confidence. This very warm stone is beneficial for the weak and sick. It is mainly found in South Africa where the best stones come from Griqualand West.
