“jQuery UI is a widget and interaction library built on top of the jQuery and JavaScript Libraries, that we can use to build highly interactive web applications. ”

"Widget" to me means a user-interface element, like a button or something more complicated like a popup date picker, but in jQuery UI terms it means a class, members of which are associated with HTML elements; things like Draggable and Sortable
The jQuery UI project was originally created to bring us a set of "official" jQuery plugins. Mature components from the plugins repository were pulled together to form the first release of jQuery UI. But since each of these plugins had its own style, having been written by different authors.
We can Download jQuery UI library from http://jqueryui.com/download website to download a copy of jQuery UI. jQuery UI's download builder allows us to choose the components we would like to download and get a custom version of the library for your project. There are 3 easy steps to building our custom jQuery UI download:

Step 1: we can choose the components what we need

Step 2: we can select a theme or we can custom our own theme

Step 3: we need to Choose a version of jQuery UI

So finally we have downloaded the Jquery UI interaction library.

Developing jQuery plugins

This is very simple to write our own plug-in. Following is the syntax to create a method:
The guideline recommended by the jQuery team is as follows:

Any methods or functions you attach must have a semicolon (;) at the end.
You should use this.each to iterate over the current set of matched elements - it produces clean and compatible code that way.
Your method must return the jQuery object, unless explicity noted otherwise.
Prefix the filename with jquery, follow that with the name of the plugin and conclude with .js.
Always attach the plugin to jQuery directly instead of $, so users can use a custom alias via noConflict() method.

The word plugin is often used by software developers to describe a third party application that "hooks" into a main application to extend its functionality. Movable Type hosts an active plugin developer community whose plugins have greatly enhanced the capabilities of Movable Type.

A plug-in is piece of code written in a standard JavaScript file. These files provide useful jQuery methods which can be used along with jQuery library methods. There are plenty of jQuery plug-in available which you can download from repository link at http://jquery.com/plugins.

Using a Jquery Plugin

we have to include plug-in file very similar to jQuery library file in the <head> of the document, to make plug-in methods available to our application or page.
We must include the plug-in after the main jQuery source file or Jquery library file, and before our custom JavaScript code.
Following example shows how to include jquery.plug-in.js plugin:
- Ex:- <script src="jquery.plug-in.js" type="text/javascript"></ script>

As with all jQuery scripts we need to first call the jQuery library. I have recently started linking to the google hosted library rather than downloading it directly to my server. This ensures that I’ll always have the latest version without having to continually download it. The google hosted library will also be in the cache of most computers as most people will have visited google at some point. The main advantage of this is that it will reduce loading times. To do this we put the following code in the head section of our page.

jQuery provides an interface for doing different kinds of excelent effects. jQuery methods are very useful to apply effects with minimum requirements.

Different types of Jquery Effect methods :

animate( params, [duration, easing, callback] )
- The animate( ) method performs a custom animation of a set of CSS properties.
- Example:- $("#block").animate({

fadeIn( speed, [callback] )
- This method fades in all matched elements by adjusting their opacity and firing an optional callback after completion.

AJAX is an acronym standing for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML and this technology help us to load data from the server without a browser page refresh.

JQuery is a great tool which provides a rich set of AJAX methods to develope next generation web application

Loading simple data:

This is very easy to load any static or dynamic data using JQuery AJAX. JQuery provides load() method to do the job:

Syntax:

[selector].load( URL, [data], [callback] );

URL: The URL of the server-side resource to which the request is sent. It could be a CGI, ASP, JSP, or PHP script which generates data dynamically or out of a database.
data: This optional parameter represents an object whose properties are serialized into properly encoded parameters to be passed to the request. If specified, the request is made using the POST method. If omitted, the GET method is used.
callback: A callback function invoked after the response data has been loaded into the elements of the matched set. The first parameter passed to this function is the response text recieved from the server and second parameter is the status code.

Getting JSON data:

There would be a situation when server would return JSON string against your request. JQuery utility function getJSON() parses the returned JSON string and makes the resulting string available to the callback function as first parameter to take further action.

Syntax:

[selector].getJSON( URL, [data], [callback] );

URL: The URL of the server-side resource contacted via the GET method.
data: An object whose properties serve as the name/value pairs used to construct a query string to be appended to the URL, or a preformatted and encoded query string.
callback: A function invoked when the request completes. The data value resulting from digesting the response body as a JSON string is passed as the first parameter to this callback, and the status as the second.

Passing data to the Server:

Many times you collect input from the user and you pass that input to the server for further processing. JQuery AJAX made it easy enough to pass collected data to the server using data parameter of any available Ajax method.

ajaxStart( callback ) ----Attach a function to be executed whenever an AJAX request begins and there is none already active.
ajaxError( callback ) ----Attach a function to be executed whenever an AJAX request fails.

jQuery Events

Events in JavaScript (and jQuery) occur when something happens to an element in the page. When an event occurs, it is said to have fired. Common events include:

To work with an event in jQuery, first we have to create a function called an event handler that will deal with the event when it occurs. Then we will call a jQuery method to bind our event handler function to a particular event for a selected element (or elements). There are many jQuery methods to bind events.

Different types of Jquery Event methods :

bind( eventType[, eventData], handler)
- the main one is bind(). This takes an event name and a function name as arguments, and binds the function to that event for the selected element(s).
- Example:- $('div').bind('click', function( event ){alert('Hi there!'); });
unbind(eventType, handler) / unbind(eventType)
- If you want to remove event handlers from an element we will use unbind() method.
- Example:-$('div').unbind('click');
- Event Types: blur, change, click, dblclick, error, keydown, mousedown, mouseenter, mouseleave, select, scroll, submit, unload, resize, ....,... ,.
- Event Attributes: altKey, ctrlKey, keyCode, pageX, pageY, relatedTarget, screenX, screenY, shiftKey, target, timeStamp, type, which, ....,... ,.
preventDefault()
- Prevents the browser from executing the default action.

- Returns whether event.preventDefault() was ever called on this event object.

jQuery DOM

The Document Object Model is an API which allows developers to access, read, and modify the content of a web page.
JQuery provides methods to manipulate DOM in efficient way. Insted of writing big code to modify the value of any element's attribute or to Extract/Manipulate HTML code from a paragraph or division., was very easy with Jquery DOM.

Different types of Jquery DOM methods :

after( content )
- It is Used to Insert content after each of the matched elements.
- Example:- $('div').after('<p class="para">This is a after paragraph</p>' );
before( content )
- It is Used to Insert content before each of the matched elements.

append( content )
- It is used to Append new content to the inside of every matched element.

JQuery Attributes

A jQuery Attributes used to get the DOM attributes of elements and set those attribute values.

Most of the common attributes are

Types of Jquery attributes :

attr("<properties>")
- used to get the value of an attribute from the first one in the matched set of attributes.
- Example:- var val = $("a").attr("title");
attr("<name>","<value>")
- Used to get and set the value of an attribute from first one in the matched set of attributes
- Example:- $("#myimage").attr("src", "mypic.jpg");
removeAttr("<name>")
- Used to rome tha attribute with value from the mathced element.

hasClass("<className>")
- It checks weather that particular element has that class or not and returns boolean value.ie., True/False

addClass("<className>")
- It is used to add the class name to matched element or control.

For developing different applications in java we need the help of some methods and classes.java environment provides these things for us.These methods and classes comes under JSL(java standard library).JSL is also called as API(application programming interface).

In API classes and methods are grouped together as packages.They are as follows.

language support package(java.lang.)
I/O package(java.io.)
networking package(java.net.)
applet package(java.applet.)
AWT(abstract window tool kit) package(java.awt.)
utility package(java.util.)

language support package consists of classes used to represent primitive data types.
I/O package provides a set of input and output streams.These streams are used to read and write data to files.
networking package consists of classes used to communicate with other computers.
applet package consists of an applet class and this class must be sub classed whenever you write an applet.
AWT package consists of classes used to provide graphical user interface features(windows,buttons,text items etc.,) to the users.
utility package consists of a collection of utility classes used to set date and time.

Restoring / Recovering a Deleted Post in Blogger

Hello readers., Good day..,

I want to share a problem that I have faced and solved it recently.

Unfortunately one of my post was deleted. You know that there is no option in blogger to retrieve any deleted posts and Blogger announced that they will not support on recovering deleted posts. Then I started research on recovering it. I succeed on this issue and recovered it successfully. I found different type of recovering techniques.

Recovering post using browsers history :-

Open the browser you worked with blogger and then press ctrl + H (control button and H both at a time). It will open the history of the browser. There you will find the urls on blogger that you have opened and worked recently.
When you click on it the page will open., there you will find the post that you have entered in edit mode or html mode. Just copy the content and create a new post and then paste it, save it and publish it. Here the content will save in CACHE of the browser in your local system only. So this technique is also called recovering the post from cache.

Note: This will work only the browser history available. Some people may anable automatic clear browser history option. For those people the history will clear automatically. So they can’t find the urls.

Recovering post using browser or browser tab :-

This will work only if your browser is not closed after the post deleted/edited.
In this technique you need to press BACK button of the browser. So that it will open the previous page. From their you may recover your post.

Recovering post using BLOG-ID and POST-ID :-

If you know the blog id and post id then you can edit the post and republish it. But this will work only if the post was previously published.

Recovering post from the Blog Feeds:-

If you have set blog feed to full you will get all of your post content from the feed,
if you set it to partial then you will get partial

For developing different applications in java we need the help of some tools.java environment provides these tools for us.These tools are combinely known as JDK(java development kit).

Some of the java tools are as follows.

java doc
javac
javah

jdb
appletviewer

javadoc is used to create html document.
javac compiler converts the source code into byte code which is understandable by the java interpreter.
javah creates header files and also used to write native methods.(Java programs supports functions which are developed in other languages such as C and C++.These are known as native methods).
java is an interpreter and is used to interpret the class filed generated by the javac.
jdb is a debugger helps to find the errors in our programs.
appletviewer is used to run and debug the java applets without a web browser.

Java is simple and small language.it doesn't use pointers,header files,go to statements,multiple inheritance and operator overloading concepts etc.,.Java eliminated the complicated features of C and C++.
Java provides more security compared to other languages because it eliminates unauthorized access of data and usage of methods.it does not allow the programs to access the memory locations without proper authorization.
Handling of multiple tasks at a time is known as multi threading.Java supports multithreading means we need not to wait for a longer time to complete a task and to start another task.
Java is a Robust(very strong) language.It handles memory management mistakes and avoids system crash using exceptional handling concept.
Java compiler converts the source code in to byte code after that the java interpreter converts the byte code into machine code.So Java is both compiled and interpreted language.
Java programs can be easily moved from one system to another system.the changes in operating system and hardware cannot effect java programs.Java programs once developed can be run on any system.So Java is a platform independent language.
It is possible to link new methods and classes dynamically in Java.So Java is a dynamic and extensible language.
The problems occured with the pointers and headerfiles concepts are removed in Java.So Java is easy to develop.

C++ is platform dependent language.Java is platform independent language.
we can declare variables globally in C++.Java doesn't support global declaration of variables.
we can only compile C++ programs but Java programs can be compiled and interpreted.
we have to include header files in C++.There is no need to include header files in Java.

C++ supports multiple inheritance.Java doesn't support multiple inheritance.
C++ supports operator overloading.Java doesn't support operator overloading.

C++ doesn't support multiple threading.Java supports multiple threading.

Differences between C and Java:

C doesn't provide security to the programs. Java provides security to the programs.
C follows POP(procedure oriented programming) methodologies.Java follows OOP methodologies.
In C data is treated as a public entity.In java data is treated as a private entity.
C follows top down approach.Java follows bottom up approach.
To test the modules in C drivers are required where as drivers are not required to test the modules in java.

Good Day :) ., Do you know the differences between POP and OOP. Ok., Let's see the differences (POP vs OOP).

POP concentrates on procedures where as OOP concentrates on data.
In POP data moves freely around the system from function to function.In OOP data not moves freely around the system.
In POP large programs are divided into small programs known as functions where as in OOP programs are divided into small blocks known as objects.
It is difficult to add new functions and data wherever in a program in POP where as it is easy to add new functions and data in a program in OOP

Hello., In this post i would like to give you a brief idea about Object Oriented Programming which is also simply called OOP.

OOP is a new approach for developing programs and it treats data as an important concept.It does not allow the data to be flow freely in the system.It combines the data and methods(functions) in to one unit nothing but object.

Dynamic binding is linking up of the call to the particular method dynamically.In this procedure the method related to the call is not known until run time.
Message passing is nothing but objects communicate with each other by passing messages in between them.

Uses of OOP language:

It becomes easy to divide a complex program in to small units using objects.
One class can be used more no of times using inheritance.
Objects can communicate with external system using message passing.
More secured programs can be build using data hiding.

Introduction:

Java is a pure object oriented programming(oop) language.It is developed by James Gosling at Sun Micro systems in U.S.A in the year 1991.Java was developed based on the languages c and c++.

A commom problem that blogsopt blog's owners face is that how to create a sitemap.

To submit our site to some topmost serch engines like google, bing, yahoo..., we need a sitemap., so that the search engines can crawl the content of our post easily.,

For normal sites we can create sitemap with the help of the the tags with are availble for us., But coming to blogger it is some what different.

Sitemap for your Blogger Blog:

Step 1: First sign-in to your Google Webmasters account and add your blog. For details like the screen shot below.

Step 2: After that click on the link which you had added in the sites list., then you will be redirect to another page called dashbord. There you will see a button called submit button. as show below

Step 3: Now for blogger blogs the sitemap URL will be like this (http://YOUR_SITE_URL/atom.xml?redirect=false). So now you can add the "atom.xml?redirect=false" at the last of url (in the text box). and the click subimt. thats it.

if you want to add more like by dividing the post upto 500 and 500 to 1000 and then.......,
So you can more as like this
"/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500"

The DetailsView is a control that is complementary to the GridView control. It has been introduced in ASP.NET 2.0 to provide an ability to work with a single record or row from an associated data source. The default view of this control is vertical with each column of the record displayed on a line of its own
. The DetailsView, like the GridView rides on the data source capabilities to update, insert or delete rows.

It renders a single data item at a time even when the data source exposes more items.

Here I just would loke to show you how to bind the data to the details view and how to edit/delete the data in the details view and how add a new record to details view.

Here i had four feilds EmpId, FirstName, LastName, Platform, Salary, MobileNumber and finally email Id.

To bind data to our Details view with Id "dtvUserdetails"

In Default.aspx.cs:

Now to change the modes to ReadOnly, Edit and Insert we have an event called "dtvUserdetails_ModeChanging" we can also handle "dtvUserdetails_ModeChanged" after the mode was changed.
To insert an item we have "dtvUserdetails_ItemInserting", to Update and Item we have "dtvUserdetails_ItemUpdating" and to Delete an item we have "dtvUserdetails_ItemDeleting"

For Updating the DetialsView items

Using ADRotator Control in our web apps

ADRotator:
Adrotator control is one of the rich contorls, Rich Controls are server sided controls that can be used to create complex HTML elements. rich controls provide the developer with complex functionality without having to manually wrote the code to provide that functionality.

Internet advertising is one of the major means of earning revenu for a web site. while viewing the site, the advertisements keep changing.Having a control to change the advertisements continously can reduce a lot of coding. In asp.net the ad rotator control can perform the functionality required for changing the advetisements.

the advertisents to be displayed need to be taken fron a life. Let us consider an XML file for the same. An ad element has to be added to describe each advertisement.

Here in my example shows an XML file that contains Ad element to describe the advertisements.
