Distroller First Holy Communion

2012-06-05T20:26:00.004-07:00

My daughter's First Holy Communion was this past month...

It was a very special occasion and we really enjoyed putting it all together!

Here is a picture of all the little cousins....

Chocolate Hershey Bars were custom wrapped...

These tall cylinders were filled with a custom made T-Shirt for all the girls....the wooden tag was also custom made...I used balsa wood and then printed and mod-podged the Distroller image! I attached the wooden tag with a rosary made from yarn...which I bought on Ebay!

Here is a picture of the goodies...Mini canvases were personalized for each family! These mini canvases were painted and then I mod-podged the Distroller image on it...each of the canvases had the name of each family!

A sunflower head was the place setting for each guest...attached was a little "Thank You" from my daughter!

The children's table had their own menus and each little guest had a coloring book and colored pencils to entertain themselves...

Close up pictures of the rosary box each guest took home as well as the menu printed on wood!

The cake was SPECTACULAR....very delicious!

The menu was two sided...

The girls LOVED their t-shrits!!!

All guests signed a cross that I stained and added the detail square for the picture...I found all of these items at Michaels...

An Italian themed RETIREMENT PARTY

2012-06-05T20:07:00.002-07:00

Pensione Felice!!!

Happy Retirement!!!

After many years of dedication to our students...our good friend and colleague is retiring!

Carmen will be taking a nice vacation to Italy...so we thought it would be the perfect theme for her retirement party!

Here are some picture of the special day....

We had two different types of centerpieces...pasta filled glass vases, which look great! We attached a map of Italy or the Italian Flag to a skewer which was inserted into vase.

The napkin holders were manicotti pasta that were wrapped with the Italian Flag and the words

"Pensione Felice" going around...

The second type of centerpiece were empty tomato cans that we used as pots...the three cans were

tied together with yarn...

This couldn't be an Italian event without the blackboard painted chef...very cute!!!

Here is another look at the tomato can centerpiece

She got a box of pasta filled with lots of $$$$!!!

Happy Retirement - Carmen!

The school year is ending and we couldn't leave without showering her with gifts for the new baby!

Here are some pictures of that special day...

This was a hand made card that all the teachers signed....

and below is a picture of one of the centerpieces...there were two different types.

A little goody treat..."GOING BANANAS FOR BABY" filled with candy!

A picture of the other centerpiece which had a mini canvas painted by ME!!!!

Her theme is monkeys and I created four mini canvases that could be grouped and made into a collage for the baby's room!

A little treat for THE BIG BROTHER!!!!

little paper onesies...were used to leave the mommy to be some wise thoughts for the new baby!

Back to School

2011-08-14T20:09:00.000-07:00

Well it's that time of year again...summer is gone
and everyone is getting ready for the new school year!

The kids are excited about their new teachers and the friends that are in their classroom.....but not so much about what's in store for the new school year...they are nervous and parents are dreading the early morning routine...but let's make the best of it and prepare a little goody for the teacher that will be taking care of the our most precious little gifts...

Here is a goody basket that I prepared for both of my kids teachers...filled it with useful supplies that all teachers need throughout the year....apple shaped calculator, post it notes, paper clips, thumbtacks, scotch tape, binder clips and of course...some chocolate for those difficult moments!

Enjoy!
