I’m SO excited to be announcing this and certainly MORE than delighted and honored to be part of a HOME TOUR like you’ve never seen before!

It’s the Spring into Organization Blogger Home Tour

NINE Organizing bloggers, including myself, have teamed up to bring you some of their most organized rooms in their homes to inspire and motivate YOU!

The tour begins on Monday, March 26th at Organizing Made Fun and then you will be lead through 2 to 3 homes each day. On Friday, March 30th there will be a simultaneous link party where you can link up any room in your home and show everyone your organized space.

I will be posting my room on Tuesday, March 27th.

Labeling the Pantry

Hey there! Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was a busy one. I attended a fun wedding shower with some great ladies, cleaned my house, worked on items for my shop and I also started painting my laundry room. (More on that coming soon.)

Picking paint colors is not my favorite thing to do. I had the laundry room half painted and decided I didn’t like the color in there, so I got a new color and started over. I do that ALL.THE.TIME. You wouldn't even want to know how many rooms I've painted over. I think I'm just a tad too particular. ;) Picking colors just isn't my thing.

Give me an entire room (or house) and I’d be in my glories organizing the thing. I know it’s not for everyone, but I really enjoy taking a space and making it better, more organized, more efficient, clean, you get the idea.

Organizing is a LOT of work, IT IS! But the rewards that one receives from it is amazing. I know a lot of you who frequent my blog and have been inspired to bring order to your homes know this. I KNOW you know how much work it is and I KNOW you know how rewarding it is.

Let me just say… I LOVE to hear from you and to see how I’ve inspired you. Thank you for letting me know! For real, a blogger needs to hear this. That’s what makes it worth ALL the hard work that goes into a blog (and believe me, it’s a LOT of work.) So THANK YOU for lifting me up and encouraging me to keep on, keeping on! Truly, I appreciate it more than you know.

Okay, onto this post… I’ve recently spent some time creating new labels for my pantry.

and I like it. :)

Remember… this is how it use to look. I shared this area with you a while back. You can read my original pantry post HERE.

I do love the Tupperware Modular Mates.

and I love my pantry even more now with my new labels.

and yes, I added the labels to the shop as well. You can find them HERE and HERE.

you get a gazillion labels...

okay, not really, BUT you do get 72 of these smaller labels.

You can attach the label to a bag with a clip if you don't have bins. This is what I do with the overflow.

I dream of a pantry with great built in shelves (not the wire ones) BUT when we were building, this was the way we chose to go. I don't know why.

I actually have a vision for what this pantry can look like. I'd put nice built-in shelves, maybe a counter top to store my toaster and blender and stuff. You know, I dream. Who knows, I may just make that happen one of these days. ;) I like projects that better an area.

I've been saying that I want to label the baskets in my pantry and I'm so excited to finally have it done.

The baskets labels are quite a bit larger. You can find these ones HERE.

Damask Birthday Party Ideas & Printables

Recently, I got to celebrate my niece Tiahna’s birthday with her. She never had a sweet 16th party, so my sisters and I threw her a sweet 17th. I don’t get to spend too many birthdays with my side of the family, so it was pretty great to be a part of it.

I created an entire Damask Printable Birthday Package for the party and it’s available to purchase in my shop. It can be used for any girl birthday. It’d be fun enough for younger girls and teenagers, yet a classy enough party set for older woman.

Here’s the food table all set up with a lot of the party printables.

A gorgeous cake made by a family friend. It had a raspberry filling and it was delicious!

These are the favor thank you bags…

Made to look like little purses.

I designed these lil’ gals.

Simply print, cut-out, fold and add candy or whatever you want inside.

Silverware Wrappers

and circle tags, which can be used so many different ways.

Name Card / Food Labels

The ones in my party set are blank. Simply print, cut out, fold and write in the middle.

We served a yummy punch and the most delicious iced coffee drink ever! I’ve done this drink for a lot of parties and it’s always the first to go. Everyone LOVES it! (I’ll share the coffee recipe in another post.)

Inside the frame is the matching Custom Welcome Sign.

We set up a candy bar,

and it was a BIG hit with the kids (and us adults too ;)

Tiahna LOVED her party and was pleasantly surprised, which was super cool. It’s kind of hard to do surprise parties nowadays, so we were excited that she had no clue. The party was a lot of fun and it was also lot of fun to create this printable set.

Dollar Tree Organizing

If you read my blog often than you already know that I do a lot of organizing with items from the Dollar Tree.

I mean seriously, who would have ever thought that the Dollar Tree would have so many different options for organizing? I’ve spent a small fortune there (and I know so many of you all have too, because you’ve told me so.)

I finished my bathroom drawer organizing recently:

and yep.. you guessed it, I got more stuff from the Dollar Tree.

Who says that utensil trays can only be used in the kitchen? I picked up a couple plastic ones from the Dollar Tree and use them to organize my dental hygiene.

The little pink ‘thingamabob’ on the end of my toothpaste is a super cool find from the Dollar Tree too. You just put it on the end of your toothpaste and turn the little knob to squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom up. Cool lil thing, it is!!

My husband has a couple of drawers in our bathroom for himself,

and I did a little reorganizing on his side, with more Dollar Tree bins.

iPod Valentine Candy Tutorial & Free Printable

Our church has a family night for the kids to do fun crafts, games and such. The other night the kids made up these adorable iPod Valentines. My good friend Janelle is in charge of family night and found this idea HERE.

My son loved the idea and asked me to get him all the supplies so that he can make them for his classmates.

So I did and to make things a little easier I made up some printables. They are FREE for you to print for personal use at the end of this post.

These are conversation hearts wrapped in paper. Made to look like an iPod. They are super easy to make and the kiddo’s LOVE them.

This is how you make them:

Supplies needed:

Package of Conversation Hearts

Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

String or Ribbon

Tape or Glue Gun

and the FREE printable at the bottom of this post

Cut two pieces of string. One quite a bit longer than the other.

Tape or glue one end of each string to the top of the Reese's.

Tie the small piece to the larger piece.

So it looks like this.

Tape or glue the other end of the ribbon to the side of the conversation heart box.

Cut out the printables below and wrap them around the box and tape or glue the back.

On the back, have your child write in the to and from for their classmates and friends.

AND there you have! Easy, peasy, super cool iPod Valentines.

Last Minute Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Valentines Day is just around the corner. Are you still looking for a gift idea for your Valentines? Here’s a few last minute idea's for you to consider.

Last February I created the “year of my love coupon book”

I even showed you how to make this envelope too.

OR…

You could make a candy bouquet for men. Just switch out the stars and put hearts throughout. It could be made up for anybody, it doesn’t have to be for men only. AND I would use all Valentine Candy.

This Basket I did up for Father’s Day last year, but you totally could make this for Love day.

How about making a homemade gift with pictures. This post here, give you some ideas.

Organizing my Bathroom Cabinets

I have this great built-in cabinet in my master bathroom. It’s so wonderful to have room to store all of the products that I use daily.

I already showed you my unique jewelry organizing post a while back.

Recently, I re-organized this space with these Dollar Store containers and some fun shaped labels that I made. The labels are available in MY SHOP HERE.

Containing products for the face.

products for the hair.

A place to put my make-up bag. I’ve already changed the bag, since taking these photo’s.

A place to store bubble bath and candles for relaxation,

and I have a few “extra’s” containers, as I stock up on products that I use often, especially if I find stuff on sale.

I also created a bin for my wrinkle releaser, lint collector and sweater de-fuzzers (not sure if that’s what they’re called.)

I love this Downy Wrinkle Releaser!! I use it every single DAY to de-wrinkle my jeans, slacks, sweaters, t-shirts, EVERYTHING. I dis-like ironing and hardly every do, since I’ve been using this wrinkle releaser. It is truly amazing! You can find it at Target and Wal-Mart with the laundry detergent, fabric softeners, etc. Go get some, I’m pretty sure you’ll be hooked, especially if you dis-like ironing as much as I do.

and some more Dollar Tree containers to store haircutting supplies and lotions and such for the hands and feet.

My hands are horribly dry in the winter months. When I have lots of cuts and splits (which is often during cold months) I load my hands with Vaseline, put on some moisturizing gloves (just picked some up at the Dollar Tree) and sleep with the gloves on. It’s totally not comfy, BUT by morning, my hands are amazingly healed, so it’s SO worth it!!

That’s it. My beauty supplies completely organized. It feels so great to be bringing Delightful Order to my home. I love it!!

Simple Bathroom Storage

Here are some simple storage ideas for under the bathroom sink or in a bathroom cabinet:

I picked up a few Dollar Tree baskets and filled them up…

and made some cute labels for them. You can find the printable labels in MY SHOP HERE.

Roll towels and place them in a basket…

and same with wash cloths. I believe these wicker baskets came from Ross.

A couple bucks spent at the Dollar Tree and look at the order here. I totally love it!!

The bucket is from the Dollar Tree too. I filled it with bathroom cleaning supplies and placed it under the sink. I keep plastic grocery bags under the cleaners. I use the bags as bathroom garbage can liners. Keeping extra bags close by makes for easy clean up. Simply remove the full bag from the can and add the new bag, simple as that.

Once again you can find these fun labels in my shop right here.

After purchasing them, simply print the file that is emailed to you, cut the label out and attach any way you wish. If you’d like, laminate the labels once you cut them out to protect them from water spills, etc.

Next I'll show you the rest of our bathroom storage, sharing how I organize mine and my husbands cabinets and drawers in the master bathroom.

I just re-organized a lot of spaces in my mom’s place. I used a bunch of Dollar Tree baskets under her bathroom sink too. I’ll show you what I placed inside them soon. Be sure to come back and check it out.

Clients Home Décor Tour

Hello, Hello! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

This is the last post on a clients home that my niece and I decorated last summer.

The guest room is very simple, done with a very minimal look. I decided to share the room with you because there’s a couple of things that may interest some of you…

Like these extra long navy blue curtain panels that came from Ikea. Ikea has some great panels! Especially if your looking to get long lengths. A lot of them come with iron-on-hemming tape too.

This adorable bedding is from JCPenney’s

The Wrought Iron Wall Piece is from Ross. I found one similar on Kaboodle. I’d like to get one of these pieces for my back porch.

Family Room Décor: Clients Home

Hello all! Today, I’m sharing the family room décor from my clients home.

This room has almost all brand new stuff in it. The only existing piece is the rug. Out of all the rooms that my niece and I decorated for my client last summer, this one definitely took the longest to finish. The reason being is that we needed to shop, order furniture, shop some more, wait for the furniture to arrive, shop some more, wait for more furniture to arrive and well… you get my point, right?

It took a while, yes, but in the end my client was happy and that’s what’s most important.

Inside the corner armoire is the TV and the Wii. DVD’s, Wii games and such are stored in baskets that fit perfectly underneath the coffee table. I wish I would have taken pictures of the baskets, but I didn’t.

If you don’t have the space to store DVD’s, movies, Wii games, PlayStation games, etc. in the same unit as your TV, contain the items in baskets and store somewhere nearby.

Storing baskets under coffee tables can be used for so many different things, from magazines to books, extra blankets, crafts, diapers & wipes to children's toys and more. Baskets are just great for everything!

This is the clock that I was telling you about last week. A person could totally make one of these. I’ve seen clock hardware at Craft Warehouse. Using a little creativity, one could whip one of these up in no time. That is, if your crafty and enjoy creating things. If not, you can find cool looking clocks like this at Real Deals or Homegoods, possibly even Ross or TJ Maxx.

The couches are from JCPenney’s and the red chair is from Homegoods.

The frames on the wall are still waiting for family portraits to be placed inside.

Typically I like to hang curtains really high. Most of the time I’ll hang them as close to the ceiling as possible. It’s amazing what a difference hanging panels from ceiling to floor can do to a space. Try it, you’ll be amazed and you’ll LOVE it. Just make sure your panels are long enough. Don’t hang them at the ceiling if they’re not long enough to touch the floor, or hang just a tad above the floor.

Ikea has extra long panels, however while doing this house, they didn’t have red ones.

The ceilings in my clients home are 9 feet tall. With ceilings that tall, you either need to buy custom curtains, find extra long ones OR make your own. I wasn’t up for making custom curtains and Ikea didn’t have any red ones (which is the color we were going for) so my client picked up these panels from Pier One. They weren’t long enough to go to the ceiling, so I didn’t put them there, but they still work.

Most of the pillows in this room are from Pier One too.

A lot of the décor here is from Real Deals.

I like to shape couch pillows by using the side of my hand and doing a little “karate chop” to the middle of the pillow. I think it adds a nice finishing touch.

I’m forever “karate chopping” the pillows in my own home, especially after my boys have just had a pillow fight and all the pillows land up all over the floor (which is daily.) Ha, maybe I should teach my boys to do the “pillow karate chop.” They may actually have fun with that one. ;)

The art above the fireplace is from Homegoods. The pieces on either side are actually candle sconces…

...the candle sconces felt a little too small for the space, so I trimmed some foam to fit inside the sconces and hot-glued artificial greens into them, allowing plenty of the ivy strands to flow down, creating a larger looking piece.

I certainly don’t claim to be a professional decorator or organizer, for that matter. I just enjoy both very much and if I can share and inspire others in either department, well then, I’ve succeeded, because that’s my goal here.

Kitchen and Breakfast Nook: Clients Home

Hey ya’ll. Thanks to all who joined the party on Thursday. I just love looking through all your fabulous ideas. You all are so very talented.

I’ve had quite the crazy busy last couple of weeks. So busy, I haven’t had time to write up any features from the parties, BUT I promise I will be getting some features done within a couple of days. I’m in the process of changing my blog schedule a bit, so I’ll be sure and let you know the plan on my features.

Before I share any new projects I’m going to FINALLY finish showing you the rest of my clients house that my niece and I decorated last summer. Yes, folks I said last summer. Why I haven’t shared the whole place yet? Well, it’s because I have too many ideas and one post leads to another and another and another, then 6 months go by and well, here we are now. :)

I’ve already shared the zebra room, the sports room and the entry way. Today, I’m showing you my clients kitchen and breakfast nook:

I used some old and some new decorations.

My client and I shopped together to pick up the new items. Most of the new stuff in here is from Homegoods, Pier One, Real Deals or Ross.

The plaques above the cabinets came from Homegoods.

This side is existing décor that my client had, which is all from Homegoods too.

More above the cabinets.

An artificial floral arrangement from Real Deals. I just popped the arrangement into an existing vase.

The buffet table is from Pier One. The clock, lamps and greens were pieces that my client already had.

The table and chairs are again from Pier One. My clients home was a model home before she moved in. The builder had the table and chairs as part of the staging and my client purchased the set from the builder.

Guess what the centerpiece table covering is made from? It was a shower curtain on super sale clearance that I found at Ross. I think it was a couple of bucks or so. I simply cut it down and sewed the edges. Do you have material, a curtain or an old shower curtain just sitting in a closet or cupboard? Why not see what you can whip up with it.

It’s pretty cool what a little décor arranging can do and how it can make a home feel cozy and comfy. Don’t you think?

All-In-One Family Planner

I’m beyond excited to introduce a brand new printable package that’s now available in my Etsy Shop.

It’s the All-in-One Family Planner. All you have to do is print the 24 pages, pop some holes into the pages, place into a binder and you’ve got complete organization for your family. The great thing about this printable package is that you can print the pages as many times as needed. (As always my printables are for personal use only.)

I’ve created the pages and put them in a binder for my own use. It’s so awesome to have it all in one place. I’m loving this setup and I’m loving the peace of mind that comes along with feeling like things are becoming a little more organized.

Here’s my family planner:

I just used an old 2 inch binder that I had kicking around. Inserted the cover page…

and bought a couple packs of these pocket dividers to separate the sections. I wanted the pockets to hold extra paperwork without having to punch holes in them, like my bills, medical receipts for tax purposes, etc.

The dividers come with tabs that you can print on, so I did just that and labeled each section.

Each printable page in my shop can also be purchased separately.

Included in the All-In-One Family Planner printable package is a cover page and a 2012 calendar (12 total pages.)

You also get the peek into the week printable.

and the special dates to remember page to keep track of those birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Next up is the To Do List. This is a necessity in my home. I have to write everything down or I WILL forget it. There is just way too much stuff to remember in life and I’m convinced that I lost more and more of my memory with each child that I’ve had ;)

Also included is a meal planning chart,

a red grocery shopping list. (I’ve been using this list for quite a few months now and I’m telling you, it makes grocery shopping SO much easier!)

There’s a freezer inventory list. This one I’m super excited about, because I’ve been on a ‘make ahead freezer meal’ kick lately and it’s so easy to keep track of all those meals. In the morning, I simply look at my list, rather than go to the freezer and dig through them all.

Then there’s a contact list to keep track of all important addresses and phone numbers.

A monthly budget form is also included. You may remember seeing my post titled Bill Organizing, which is where I showed you how I organize my bills and the process in which I pay them. My process is the same, my binder is just updated to this one.

I still paperclip the actual bills behind this form.

I have two sections marked monthly bills. One for Bills-this Month and one for Bills-next Month. I’ve printed the monthly budget forms for the rest of the year too and they go in the section marked bills for next month, again paper-clipping any paper bills to each page. It works for me.

Then there is a Medical Payment Tracker. This is to keep track of all medical payments that are made throughout the year and is for tax purposes. This is simply my version that works for me. I keep all the receipts and attach those behind the form as well and slip that into the pocket.

Next up is the notes from home printable page that I created. There are three notes per 8.5 x 11 page. Simply print and cut out and store in your family planner binder.

You know how it is on busy school mornings, when your about to send your kiddo’s off to school and oh yeah, you forgot that you need to pick them up for an appointment today. Simply grab a note from home, write a little message to the teacher and have your little one bring this in to their teacher.

Or jot a little thank you or thinking of you message to a family or friend, pop it into a standard #10 envelope and mail it off. These are super convenient which is totally what I like.

and last, but certainly not least, is the Event Planning Checklist. This form works so great to stay organized while planning a party, bridal shower, baby shower or any other type of event. I’ve used this form multiple times now and have loved it.
