You'll be a Little PINK Riding Hood Hottie in this gorgeous warm fun and funky winter coat.

It is from renowned Fashion Designer Isaac Mizrahi, from his For Target Collection -- I think this one was from 2005, so these days that makes this Vintage! Hot pink is one of Mizrahi's signature colors.

Hot Pink Hoodie Wool Coat -- quilted lining -- Size L (large -- approx. a size 14, maybe 16 w/smallish bust, or wear open) -- Knee length (approx. 29" side seam length, from under armseam to bottom edge.)

These items that I have listed are definitely as described, and they are FOR SALE. For a while, though, I will only be adding items here occasionally.

I set this shop up to show that an online shop could be created by using only FREE resources, like Google's Blogger (which hosts ALL of the shops pages, including the gallery), Picasa (to host images), Paypal (for the free shopping cart!), etc. All very simply, without having to know how to code or build a website by hand. Just a very minimal knowledge of html is required, which can easily be "googled".

I do plan on making Delightfully Vintage a thriving online business, with hundreds of items for sale. In the meantime, please check out how this site is structured -- if you are thinking of setting up a website, feel free to ask me any questions. I am happy to help.

New Art Tiles with Vintage Style

You will find brand shiny new ceramic wall tiles printed with vintage images that make great gifts! They are available framed, ready to hang, or unframed to use in tile projects.

They make perfect hostess gifts! For antiques collectors, teachers, secret-pals, co-workers, and neighbors on your list.

Or give them to yourself -- your home will look lovely with these added to your decoration displays.

Most of these little gems are printed with images from antique postcards -- Santas, Valentines, Halloween, patriotic, wedding themes, and so much more. You'll also find art nouveau and 'arts and crafts' style tiles, as well as antique aesthetic movement art tiles.

Here are several photos to try to give you an idea of how pretty these tiles are. The photos just don't do them justice, though. The tiles have a thick glossy resin finish -- the dye colors penetrate deep into the tiles -- the images are sharp and bright -- and they come framed or unframed, and in all kinds of themes.

The backs of the tiles have little felt dots, so if you use them for coasters they won't scratch your furniture. They are dishwasher safe -- so you could even use them as wall tiles. I think they are little works of art, that look beautiful displayed on an easel, hung on a wall, or tiled into a tabletop, or a tray, or other crafty project.

As you can see by these tiles that are printed with images of antique tiles, they are smooth and glossy -- the "crazing" is printed in -- so they look like antiques.

These ceramic tiles are each 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" -- and the 6" x 6" frames are stained cherry wood, a nice warm rich brown.

The frames are rather ingenious -- they have 2 holes on the back -- one to hang it up on a nail, and one on the bottom. The framed tiles come with a small wood dowel that inserts into the bottom hole, and -- voila! the framed tile stands on its own! They look great displayed on an easel too.

Fireplace Mantel Bookends - Syroco

This is a pair of bookends, likely made by SYROCO, which used a special formula of wood flour, waxes, and resins combined with compression molding to create items that looked as if they were hand carved wood.

These are approx. 7" tall. They do not have a maker's mark or sticker.

I love the detailed design of these neat book ends -- the cozy look of the fireplace with the SHIP on the mantle, and the fire in the hearth, and the BEAR RUG at the base (usually these do not have the bear rug).

I could see them looking very fabulous if you are talented and would choose to paint them in colors to match your decor. That was always my plan, but as I am not likely to get to them any time in this decade, here they are for you!

They are in VERY GOOD condition -- gently used, and they display beautifully.

This is a pair of adorable bookends that have a cute dog on a chair motif.

These are the wood look type of book ends, likely made by SYROCO, which used a special formula of wood flour, waxes, and resins combined with compression molding to create items that looked as if they were hand carved wood.

These are approx. 7-1/2" tall. They do not have a maker's mark or sticker.

I love the detailed design of these cute dogs -- terriers? -- on fancy Victorian boudoir chairs.

They are in VERY GOOD condition -- gently used, with missing felt on the base of one -- and a minor hard-to-see chip on the lower front edge of one -- but they display beautifully, and you will love them!

My name is Marianne, and I am a collecting addict! And I don't want to be cured. I love everything about antiquing, collecting, and selling. I'm a born-and-raised 'California Girl', which changed when, after visiting hubby's family back here in Ohio, we got hooked on antiques. After a few years of buying vintage treasures back here, and taking them home to California to sell to the ravenous Rose Bowl Flea Market dealers, we decided to move back here to Harrod, where I could be an antique dealer and hubby could be a farmer.

Just where the H is Harrod, you ask? Near Lima. "Near where?", I hear you say. Midway between Toledo and Dayton off I-75. We have a drafty old farmhouse out in the peaceful country. We have a barn, a couple of sheds, and all of the upstairs just packed full of Delightfully Vintage Things to Love! I have been fortunate to have bought lots more than I have sold, so I have lots of inventory. I have cut way back on my buying - no more space! And now I plan to increase my selling efforts with this new online shop.

My personal "serious collection" is Lima, Ohio memorabilia with the emphasis on old bottles. I am a member of the Findlay Antique Bottle Club, and am the club's website editor. We really enjoy the bottle collecting hobby world, and have made some great friends. We attend several bottle shows a year, where we can add to hubby's fruit jar collection.

My other collections are what I call my "fun" collections, meaning I enjoy them and add to them when I find something at a bargain price, but I don't focus on them the way I do my main Lima collection. I have several collections: postcards, illustrate children's books, salt & peppers, Bauer Pottery, costume jewelry, and so many more themes. These pix are from when I displayed my Easter collection at our local public library. I have also displayed my Lima collection, and some of our fruit jar collection. I give talks about antique collecting to groups, also. I believe in supporting the hobby of collecting, as well as the public library.
