New Mac products are arriving in the first half of 2011

2010-12-16T10:52:00.000-08:00

Remember how Apple used to make things besides the iPad/iPod/iPhone? Apple does, and now wants to remind you in 2011.

Sure both the iMac and MacBook Pro received updates in 2010, but does anyone really remember them. What with the iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch there’s a good chance that no one even thought of buying a new computer, now that they fit in your pocket.

But as predictable as it may be, DigiTimes is reporting that there are new versions of the iMac and 4 upgraded MacBook Pros rolling out just in time for the release of Lion next summer.

I’m thinking it’s time for an upgrade myself, what about you?

TIME awards Zukerberg Person of the Year

2010-12-15T11:50:00.000-08:00

Mark Zuckerberg, the famous founder of Facebook, has been named TIME’S Person of the Year.

Zuckerberg narrowly beat out the face of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, for the honor. Now, not that I have anything against Facebook or it’s founder, in fact I’m a huge Facebook fan, but I just feel that maybe someone else deserved it more.

I know Facebook is a big deal, and it really has changed the way we connect with the people around us, but besides the movie that came out a few months ago and being uber-rich, I can’t really think of many things that would qualify him as Person of the Year for this year.

Do you think there was someone more worthy this year? Let us know in the comments.

Verizon’s iPhone Plan Will Be Comparable to AT&T

2010-12-15T08:32:00.003-08:00

By now, everyone knows that Verizon will be selling Apple’s iPhone starting in 2011. But what we don’t know is how much they will charge for it. Until now...

Verizon has made a deal with Apple that will keep their iPhone plan similar to the one offered to AT&T customers now. It would seem that Apple was worried about Verizon wanting to make their plan more competitive because of the popularity of Android phones.

Apparently, Apple had nothing to worry about, considering they sold 14.1 million iPhones last quarter, and AT&T has outpaced Verizon in market shares for the last two quarters. Not to mention the fact that many industry insiders are now claiming that Android sales are beginning to slow.

Oh ya, and Verizon doesn’t want the iPhone jumping ship to T-Mobile or Sprint.
