<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">Yesterday, we took the kids to Pumpkin Land.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It’s an annual tradition around here – Fall would not be complete without it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Of course, I brought my camera along to record the day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Sharing the pictures with family and using them on photo calendars are just a couple of the many ways we will enjoy them.  <br /><br /></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">Any of you who have been on a photo session with me know that I am always on the move when taking pictures. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Anytime I am behind the camera, I’m changing my composition and doing what I can to get THAT shot . . . <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">within limits</em>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In doing what it takes to get the shot I long for, I am always aware of my surroundings, aware (especially at places like Pumpkin Land) of the other moms and dads who are also trying to capture the day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We always tell our brides-and-grooms-to-be up front that we are not the photographers who will do whatever it takes to get THAT shot, because we don’t want to interfere with your guests’ ability to enjoy the day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">(Think the photographer who gets on the altar to take the shot over the Priest’s shoulder!) </em>I apply that same philosophy when photographing my own kids. <br /><br /></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">That got me wondering, wouldn’t it be great if I could have the best of both worlds?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Wouldn’t it be great if I could always get THAT shot without breaking the rules or interfering with anyone else?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What if when I needed to be a little taller, I could just say “Go go Gadget legs” and instantly get the extra height I needed?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What if I could be like Elastigirl from the Incredibles and stretch wherever I needed to get THAT shot?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Think about all the possibilities that would open up – both as a photographer AND a mom!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> <br /><br /></span></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">Later today, we plan to take our kids’ annual pictures.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>While I love my children more than life itself, this is often the day that reminds me why people pay professionals to photograph their children! <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This is the day when another super power always comes in handy . . .<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>the power to be extremely patient.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In the end, it will be worth it.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Anything worth doing always is.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> <br /><br /></span></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">What about you?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>If you could have just one super power, what would it be? <br /><br />T</span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">hanks for letting me ramble on. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> <br /><br /></span></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">Until the next time, <br /></span><span style="font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 10pt;">Judianne </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 10pt;">If your last family photo pre-dates the dawn of reality TV, it’s time for a new one.  Lucky for you, we can help with that while having a little fun in the process!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 10pt;">With the arrival of October and the leaves starting to turn, this is a great time of year to get outside for family portraits. We will load these images to Facebook for voting by your family and friends over the weekend (Friday October 14th - Monday October 17th).  The family portrait with the most likes and comments will win a free portrait session and a set of 25 custom designed photo holiday cards!  <strong><em>All together, this is a $155 value! </em></strong> </span></p>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 10pt;">With the early yearbook deadlines arriving next week, things are winding down on our </span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 10pt;">Class of 2012 senior portrait season.  That doesn’t mean we aren’t having any more fun, because we still get to meet great seniors like this one. </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 10pt;">She was one of very few seniors this summer who wanted to use Portland Headlight for her location.  (In summers past, we couldn’t get seniors to go anywhere else!)  She also wanted to incorporate her dog, sister and mother in some of the shots. This is a great time to remember who you are <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>and</em></span> who is important to you. We are always happy to accommodate these kinds of requests.</span></p>
