Sixth At WDRL/Cedar Lake

The Flying 50 of Denny Eckrich traveled to Cedar Lake Speedway for three nights of racing. On Thursday, July 31, racing action was sanctioned by the WDRL. Eckrich took the top spot with Passing Points. Eckrich was battling in the top seven all night long before finally finishing 6th.

Friday will be the qualifying night for the USA Nationals, and they will has run the make-up feature from the "Masters." On Father's Day Weekend, the A-Main was ready to roll out onto the speedway when rain set it. That make-up feature will be run at the end of Friday night's qualifying events.

Good Night at Freeport

After three previous attempts, Mother Nature finally shined at Freeport Raceway Park for the WDRL. Eckrich raced a solid heat race and put himself into the Iowa-Illinois Taylor Insulation Pole Dash where he finished 5th.

At the start, Eckrich slipped back on the narrow racing surface. A late race charge by the Flying 50 put Eckrich back into the top five by ace end. Eckrich finished 5th.

Father's Day Weekend at Cedar Lake For DEM

After getting rained out Thursday night at Superior Speedway, Denny Eckrich Motorsports traveled to Cedar Lake Speedway over Father's Day weekend. It was a two night affair on the World Dirt Racing League trail.

FRIDAY:
It was a bad night for the Flying 50. During the race, Eckrich was placed one lap down during a restart. Officials discovered after the race that the call was a mistake. He was scored official as the last car on the lead lap (14th place).

SATURDAY:
Things look great for DEM. Eckrich was ready to start the A-Main towards the front of the starting grid, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Rain rolled in as the 26-car field was just about to hit the track. The night was washed out. The event will be completed during the WDRL's return trip to Cedar Lake Speedway during the USA Nationals at the end of July.

Eckrich At Lucas Oil Speedway - Diamond Nationals

Denny Eckrich Motorsports traveled to the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO for the Diamond Nationals. The top prize is $40,000 to the winner of the 100-lap A-Main.

Qualifying was held Friday night (May 9), and that set the field for tonight's Heat Races (May 10). B-Main's and the 100-lapper will follow. After 80 dirt late models qualified, Eckrich will start 9th in heat race number four.

WDRL @ Freeport - PPDR Again

Mother Nature is not working with this race. Heavy Rains all day Friday forced WDRL Officials to Postpone the the May 3rd race. No date has been set, but officials are working on finding a date.

WDRL - Quad City Raceway Results

The "Flying 50" finished 4th in his heat race. Heavy traffic on the tight quarter-mile made passing tough as Eckrich came home 12th.

WDRL at Freeport - PPDR

World Dirt Racing League Officials have been forced to postpone the WDRL Late Model Series race scheduled for Freeport Raceway Park. The race, originally set for Saturday, April 18, 2008, will now be held next weekend – Saturday, April 26, 2008. The racing action scheduled for the Quad City Raceway tomorrow night (April 19th) is still on as scheduled at this time.

Crash At Davenport Dampens 2008 Debut

Denny Eckrich Motorsports started their 2008 Race Season with a stop at the Davenport Speedway (Davenport, IA). It was also the season opener for the World Dirt Racing League.

After racing his way into the 40-lap A-Main via a B-Main, Eckrich started 18th. The Flying 50 was slowly working his way towards the front when trouble occurred.

A car in front of Eckrich lost control coming off of turn four. That car bounced off the front stretch wall and collected Eckrich's car. There was heavy rear end damage as a results forcing Eckrich to the pits for the night.
