The implant presented with Grade II mobility in all directions! Obvious signs of implant failure!</div><div>The implant was retrieved and the implant site curetted out and is being left to heal for atleast 6 weeks before any new implant placement ! </div><div><br /></div><div>I was reviewing where the dentist went wrong ! The following reasons I felt caused the failure!</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">1. The patient was a Bruxist..! ( Though Bruxism is not a contraindication for implant placemnt, I feel always suggesting a night guard and occlusal evaluation in such patients)</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">2. The implant was 8mm in length, which was way beyond any acceptable limits for a molar tooth.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">3.The crown root ratio was reversed</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">4. The patient had maintained a poor oral hygiene too</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">5. Immediate loading was done which jeopardised things further</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style=""><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="">I would suggest any dentist to avoid all these mistakes.
