Last weekend, Some of my friends had a little get together for a birthday party. I'm not going to say whose birthday it is, because I don't want to embarrass anyone, but I want to wish the birthday boy a Happy Birthday! This is my shout to him on my blog!

One of my friends made a excellent Mojito filled with berries, and mint leaves. So good! Thanks!

And this was basically dessert. We had red vevet cake which is the one in white, ice cream, a small brown cake, and jello cake, which is the one with fruit on it.

It looks like someone doesn't know how to take the hood off my camera when taking pictures. Oh well. Good times!

So I attended another Obon Festival once again! This one was the last weekend of July. I don't know why, but I think that Obon Festivals are super fun.

So I painted my nails last week. I don't usually paint my finger nails, because I find that when I doing random things around the office, or at home, my nails have a tendency to chip, even if I put 2 layers of top coat. Which is why I paint my nails on the weekend, and then it lasts all weekend, and come Monday, when it's time for work, I just simply take it off.

This is by far my favorite polish for the summer. It's bright and vibrant, and it only takes 2 coats to have a nice layer. I'm wearing this on my toes right now. I've actually just been reapplying it on my toes for the last couple of weeks.

I remember when I first bought this polish at TJ Maxx for a mere $2.80! But now I get it for $3 without tax. Which is still not bad, considering that Ulta and Target sell this sucker for $7.79 to $8. Love love love this polish! Get this at Ulta, or at Target, I usually get mines at this tiny little nail supply shop in Westminster.

So I recently decided to pick up a piece from Jewelmint because I kept hearing about if from everyone. Basically a lot of youtubers, and bloggers were raving about how amazing their pieces were, so I had to pick up a piece! The good thing is that there are codes sometimes that you can use. I used MAV5 to give me 50% off my first piece. I should have bought something earlier when they had their BOGO Free promo, but I didn't know about that until afterwards.

I have to admit the packaging is very cute! I love the whole blue green box, with black bow.

Whitening Products Set back

So basically this is what happened: I went to the fair on Friday, so my nose got burnt, and then I went to the beach on Sunday so I got even more tanned. But I'm back on the bandwagon of whitening. I'm hoping to get down to an NC30 by the end of summer. Let's hope that I can get down to that color. As of right now, I think I'm back to NC40, because of my stupidity of not putting on SPF.

So let's do a review of my SPF sunscreen Spray! So I picked this up in May when I went hiking with my friend. I had only used it that one time when we went hiking, and then I used it again when I went to the beach. I did not put sunscreen on my face, because I don't want my face to feel disgusting and sticky. But I did put the spray on my arms, legs, and back. I believe this sunscreen cost a little less than $7 at a grocery store. I'm not crazy about putting sunscreen anywhere on myself, since I usually don't leave my car, or my house that much anyway. I'm usually in a room, or my car, so I don't see the point of going outside as much.

Unfortunately for me, this weekend was brutal, seeing as how I was in the sun on Friday for 6 hours continually. And then on Sunday I was in the sun for 4 hours. I actually found out that in my car, I had been carrying my sunscreen that is in lotion formula. I think I'm going to use that more often now. Most of my makeup has SPF in it anyway, so I think that's a good sign that at least when I wear makeup, I don't have to worry about applying a layer of sunscreen beneath, or above.

I'm not sure if I would purchase this sunscreen again, because my friend had trouble applying it on herself and myself, she kept pressing down on it, and I told her that she had to press at the very back, but she kept putting her finger near the front. At least when applied it has a cooling affect.

DIY Bubble Skirt

So I'm kind of known as a DIY girl, but I've never thought of documenting what I've done. Because one, I'm lazy, and taking so many pictures can get annoying. So when I saw this bubble skirt, I thought to myself, I can probably just make that myself! I had seen a different picture of a similar skirt on one of the Olsen twins, though which one I cannot seem to remember. The Olsen picture was what got me inspired to DIY my own skirt. I had this James Perse skirt from when I worked at Nordstrom, and I always found it a pain to have to iron the bottom of the skirt, because it would always get wrinkled so easily.

What I was working with. If you can't tell, I ironed out the bottom of the skirt, but it's still wrinkled, hence why I rarely wore this skirt:

So first up you want to pin the bottom of the skirt to the top of the skirt. I pinned the bottom very close to the top of the skirt:

There is thin fabric underneath that's considered the underskirt, so you want to tuck that in:

I'm tucking it in (Camera strap fail, haha):

Then you want to make little stitches along the parts where you pinned at:

Another stitch:

The easiest way to make the stitches, is to match up the sides and the back and the front:

And voila! You have your own little mini bubble skirt.

I'm hoping this DIY tutorial isn't super confusing. I'm trying out this whole fashion blogging for a bit, and I know a lot of people enjoy reading fashion related posts.

Can you believe that I found this dress at Forever21 for a mere $9? I couldn't believe it either. I had seen this dress at my local Forever21 in the Love21 section, but at the time they didn't have my size. So I was kind of bummed out. But then afterwards, I went to the next closest Forever21, and I found this dress! The first picture was candid, I was trying to get my bag on my arm, and my brother snapped the picture, before I could get it on.

So I think doing Outfits of the Day (OOTD) is easier on my blog, than on youtube. Because on youtube, I always have to edit the videos, so I think that if I do them one by one, on my blog it's easier, because all I have to do, is take a picture. I want to thank Jessica for this top. She meant to give it to me last year, but she misplaced it, so she gave it to me this year, as a late birthday present. :)

NOTD OPI's Plank's A Lot and Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow

Purple is slowly becoming one of my favorite summer colors! Next to red of course! I did a quick NOTD to show you how much I love this OPI color. I usually don't like the consistency with OPI polishes, seeing as how a lot of them are very streaky with two coat, but this polish looks amazing, with two coats.

Nivea Whitening Deodorant

I have a quick update for you guys today! I recently purchased the Nivea Whitening deodorant. I had been curious about this for some time, seeing as how if you shave regularly your armpits will turn dark. I had heard from a friend that if you stop shaving then the darkness goes away. And since I'm still debating if I want to get the laser hair removal, but I'm not quite there yet, I decided to give these a try.

These are from Thailand, so the writing is mostly in Thai.

When I peeled back the label, I saw that there was an ingredient list is in English.

I will be doing a review of the this product in the next month. After I try this out for a bit.

Whitening Products

So in case anyone was wondering, I want to get lighter before I get darker this summer! The reason being is because I always found the sun unbearable in Southern California during the summer. Not saying that I don't like the sunny weather. I just don't like being so tanned up.

So to make this post quick and short, I'm going to introduce you to some of the whitening products I have been using for the last couple of months or so.

From left to right: Softymo super white cleanser. Kose moisture mild white cream, Skinfood tomato whitening cream, and Paul & Joe whitening serum.

The Softymo super white cleanser I just got this week from Jessica. She gave it to me to try it out, since she said that it makes her husband's skin get very white. I've been trying it out, and my face does look slightly lighter. Not sure if it is because of this, or maybe a combination of the products I have been using.

This cleanser is very very creamy. It has a very rich formula, and it doesn't foam up. So if you don't like that, this might not be for you. But as far as I use it, I usually use this cleanser first, and then I will top it off with my other cleanser. I switch it up from morning to night. In the morning, I usually use my Clean & Clear cleaner, and at night I use my bareminerals cleanser.

The next 2 items are creams (I'm sorry about the darkness of the pictures. I didn't want the flash to go off, it would have made my pictures really really bright).

The Skinfood cream I've hit pan on, so there is no more of this cream anymore. As far as I can tell, this cream smells very very good. It does not smell like tomatoes at all. It has a water like consistence, but it's nice nevertheless. I found out the hard way that you should not apply this cream right after you get out of the shower, if you do, this cream will peel on your skin. It will start to shred.

The other one, the Kose white cream, is pretty good as well. It is slightly thicker and the smell is decent. I've had this bottle for the last 2 years, and I'm finally finishing up on this! I'm super excited to be finishing up on this product. This product has whitened my skin, but very little. It might be because I'm more tanned. I think if you were lighter, than maybe this product would work better for you.

The last product I have is from Apothica.com. I actually received a gift certificate from Apothica.com, and I decided to spend it on the Paul & Joe Whitening Serum.

The bottle is very pretty no? I think it's very elegant. Now for the interesting parts: The serum has a particular scent to it. Some might not like it. Honestly? It smells like orange cleaner to me. But that doesn't make it bad for me. I actually really like oranges. I just got this in this week, so I've been trying it out for the last five days. Now like I said before for the cleanser, I'm not sure if I'm getting lighter from this or from the cleanser. I'm going to keep using this product, and I will keep you guys updated, with my new whitening routine.

So this past weekend I went to the Obon Festival with two of my girl friends. It was pretty fun. We actually went wearing our Yukatas. It was really really hot outside. Excuse my faces!

Outfits Of The Day!

So I'm finally kind of back! Haha, I don't really know what happened, except that I got really really busy after April, and then my schedule just got packed! But if you don't already, please subscribe to my youtube channel. I usually check my youtube channel more than my blog! But I'm trying to get back into the habit, of commenting, and looking at people's blogs! :)

Anyway, so today, I have outfits of the day for you girls out there, who like fashion! Recently, I've been buying a lot of new clothes, more than makeup. I haven't been buying makeup as much often, because number one, it gets expensive, and usually there's not a sale on makeup, unless you go to the CCO, but enough of that. Since summer is here, there has been a lot of good sales, and stores are trying to get rid of their winter clothes!

So some of these are new pieces that I've purchased over the last couple of months. I really started buying more clothes in March. So this is just a random post about some of my favorite pieces right now.

Regular days, I like to wear simple clothes: Plaid shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch, White tank top: Forever21, Shorts: Cotton on, Shoes: Steve Madden.

Other days, I feel a little more preppy, and try to dress cute: Blazer, Shirt and Shoes: Cotton on, Skirt: Forever21, Tights: Nordstrom.

And other days, when I want to be a little more formal, I like to dress it up: Dress: Forever21, Blazer: Cotton on, Shoes: Mix #6.

My Birthday and Life!

Hey everyone! So I know it's been a while, since I did a life post, but I decided to show you guys what I've been doing in my free time!

I've been taking a lot of sticker pictures lately, with my friends! Leena, Chevy, Li, Ricky, and Jennifer! These were taken the day after my birthday! :)

This one was taken last week! We look so doll like!

I won 2 animals from Round 1! I gave the domokun to Chevy, he told me when we went there, that he wanted to win it, but he didn't win it, so I went back, and I won it! And the hello kitty is mines! They are sitting in our cars right now. :D

This is a guy who I met on my birthday when I went clubbing. He was really cool, he helped me as I stumbled along with a red bull and vodka! Haha.

And this is what I've been doing in my spare time, trying out new looks, for friends and clients. This one was for a friend for EDC weekend. She went to Vegas for Electric Daisy Carnival. :)

Southern California and our awesome beaches! *Sigh* I love it here, wouldn't trade living anywhere else.

BornPrettyStore Blush!

Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since my last official post, and I've been really busy since the last time I wrote on here, since March? Anyway, I just want to let everyone know, that I do have a lot of good news, and some bad news.

Bad news first, so I haven't been buying that much makeup lately. I just kind of stopped, because my makeup collection is already huge as it is, and I don't feel the need to purchase a ton of makeup anymore.

The good news? Well I've been buying more clothes lately, and I've been taking a lot of pictures with my new Panasonic Lumix GF-2. I recently bought the new camera, because my small sony point and shoot, had a little bit of water damage. It didn't affect the way the pictures were taken, but the screen, was bubbly. So I decided to splurge and get myself a new camera.

So let's get started shall we? So the first thing I want to talk to everyone about is bornprettystore.com! They sell a lot of nail art items, as well as makeup! I've done a review about them before, and I loved their products a lot, so I decided to do a post as opposed to the video I did last time for them.

I got a blush, and it's a pretty orange pink toned blush! This blush is in #016.

I love that they put the expiration date on their products, so you can see when you need to throw your cosmetics away.

Look at how bright this blush is, it turned my brush into a bright orange color!

I love this blush! This is my first orange toned blush, and it looks amazing. Just a fair warning, when applying really bright blushes, you should always use a light hand, and then build up the intensity slowly.

So that's it for my quick review of this amazing blush. I'm probably going to be doing a look with this blush soon, so stayed tuned for that!

Hair Dye

Hi everyone! So I just wanted to do a quick update with you guys because, I know that the giveaway is ending soon! So basically, I'm going to be out of town on April 2nd through the 4th, but when i get back, I'm going to be announcing the winner, and then I will start the 500 followers giveaway!

So lately, I've been dying my hair a lot. I can't seem to find a color that I'm really loving. So basically this is going to be my two cents on hair and what you should do if you want to change your hair color!

This is what my hair looked like originally. It was black, like a true black. Very dark, with no real color to it.

This is what my hair looked like after I went to the salon and had highlights.

And this is what my hair looked like up until today! I had gone to Mitsuwa and picked up hair bleach. See picture below.

This is the dye I used to get the above hair effect! Which was very nice! I really liked this color, but the top of my head turned slightly orange. But my hair looked very nice and it looked like a light brown/dirty blonde! By the way, if you have very long hair, like mines, it's best to get at least 2 boxes of Palty hair dye! That way you can make sure that you get all of your hair.

If you guys are friends with me on my personal facebook, you will know that I picked up two boxes of the super bleach, but I didn't end up using it, because the guy that I like told me that he would prefer me to have darker hair. So of course I went back to Mitsuwa and returned these two boxes.

I picked up these two boxes, when I went back to Mitsuwa! I haven't used them yet. I'm currently dying my hair an ash brown, but I'm planning on dying my hair later next week, with this dye! We shall see.

I would totally recommend Palty hair dye/bleach, for anyone who wants to go lighter, or even a couple shades darker. They also have the blue box line, which is for people who want darker hair. :) These are available at Mitsuwa. There was a place in San Gabriel, that I went to, and they had Palty hair dye/bleach, and it was $8.99 as opposed to the orignal $10.99 to $12.99! If anyone lives in Southern California, wants to know where the place is at, just leave your email down below, and I can give you directions!

The reason, why I keep changing hair colors, is probably because I'm trying to appease my mom, and the guy that I like. It's kind of weird, what people say, does to you. Haha. I dyed it back to a dark brown, but I'm going to be using the Palty dye soon, so I'm fairly certain that my hair will look slightly less dark.

Anyway, I'm not going to be posting pictures of the guy that I'm currently liking. He's very shy, and quiet, and I'm fairly certain that he doesn't want everyone to see his face. Maybe later on, if I can get him over his camera shyness! :)

Sleep deprived

Hello my pretties! I'm so sorry that I haven't been on blogger regularly for the last couple of weeks. I've been extremely tired, and I went to the doctor's to try to get some medication for my insomnia, and my doctor gave me Ativan, which is an antidepressant. And it made me break out. Stupid wacked out Ativan! I never want to take that stupid antidepressant drug EVER again! So I will not be posting pictures of my face. UGH!

So lately, even though I've been super tired, I've been trying to wear more makeup. Yay. Lol. I've been using my fingers to put foundation on, which is something I've never really done, only when I use to be in a rush, and I couldn't find a sponge or a brush. (My face looks fat for some weird reason...)

My makeup bag consists of a couple small things for my usual makeup routine. MAC Fix+ and MAC foundation & Paul & Joe powder have become my essentials. As well as my NYX eyebrow pencil.

Which brings me to my next point. Lately, I've been writing a lot. Not blog writing, but fanfiction writing. I'm not going to be giving out my pen name on fanfiction.net, but I will let you know, if you do find me, say hi!

And the fact of the matter is that I'm very tired. So freaking tired. I've been going to sleep at 3 or 4 in the morning, and I have to get up at 8 to go to work and be there at 8:30. Which is so very bad for me.

I've been buying a lot of accessories, and clothes lately. I've recently bought myself a tablet, which I'm not sure what I'm going to be using it for, since my printer/scanner is not even hooked up yet. :-/

I went snowboarding for the first time this past Sunday. It was extremely exciting, and I fell down a lot. But I did ride the snow for a little bit. And the powder!!! The powder up there was so soft, and amazing!

That is all for me right now. I will try to update as soon as I get a chance, but at this rate, I won't be updating as much as I did before. I think I might be depressed, or some shit like that. Ugh. :(
