Jesus in the Bible

All praise is to the One to Whom all dignity, honour and gloy are due; the Unique with perfect attributes, Who begets not, nor is He begotten. He has no equal but He is the Almighty, Omnipotent. He sent His Messengers and Prophets to guide humanity towards Monotheism; to worship Him Alone, the only One Worthy of worship, and to warn them of the eternal dire consequences of polytheism, associating partners with One Allah and the worship of creatures.
Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon all the Prophets and Messengers, especially on Muhammad, the last of the Prophets, and on all who follow him in righteousness until the Day of Recompense.

Jesus and the devil in the Bible

In the New Testament of the Bible, in the 4th chapterof the Gospel according to Matthew, the 6th and 7th verses clearly indicate that Jesus is an obedient mortal and God is the Master and Lord according to his saying in the 7th verse:

"It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord, thy God."

In this chapter we read that the Devil actually carried the Messiah, and took him from place to place. How can the Devil carry God? Glory be to Allah; He is above such blasphemy!
Then the Devil orders him to prostrate before him and worship him, even tempting him with worldly possessions. How can the Devil even dare such an audacity with God? When the Devil wanted Jesus to comply with his orders, he (Jesus) replied by saying that it was written (in the previous Books):

"Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God; and Him only shalt thou serve."

-Matthew 4:10.

Children of God
Jesus never called himself Son of God - but he used to call himself the 'Son of Man' (Mark 2:10) although he heard himself being called by that name he did not object as assumed in the Bible - and did not consider the title exclusively for him.
According to the Biblical term in the Old and New Testaments, every God-fearing righteous person is called 'Son of God'. In Matthew 5:9 we read:

"Blessed are the peace-makers, for they shall be called the children of God."

In Matthew 5:45 -

"That ye may be children of your Father which is in heaven..."

God the Father
In Matthew 5:48 -

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

In Matthew 6:1 -

"...otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven."

Matthew 7:21 -

"Not every one that sayeth unto me (Jesus), Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in heaven."

The word 'Lord' here was translated as Rabb in the Arabic version of the Bible so that people may be convinced that Jesus is God! But if one studies the rest of the verse, one will note that the verse bears testimony to the subservience (to God's Will) of the Messiah (Jesus). Therefore the correct translation should be:

"Not every one that sayeth to me, O my Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

It is obvious from the above readings from the Bible that the term 'Father' is used for God in numerous places in the Bible. It is never used exclusively for Jesus.

Jesus: a Prophet of Allah
Matthew 19:16-17 -

"And behold, one came and said unto him, 'Good master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?' And he said unto him, 'Why callest thou me good? (There is) none good but one, (i.e.) God, but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.' "

In the above verses we note this acknowledgment of his submissiveness (to Allah's Will).
Matthew 21:45-46 -

"And when the chief priests and pharisees had heard his parable, they perceived that he spoke of them. But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude because they took him for a Prophet."

Here it is proved that all those who believed in Jesus during his lifetime did not believe in him being God or the Son of God or one in the doctrine of Trinity; but they believed in him as being a Prophet only. This is indeed one of the strongest points of evidence against those who believe in the Divinity of Jesus (Incarnation of God) if only they pondered.

Ramadan, the most sacred time

For the more than 1.5 billion Muslims around the world, the holy month of Ramadan is the most sacred time of the year. The fact that the revelation of the Holy Quran commenced in the month of Ramadan testifies to the sanctity, graciousness and divine excellence of this sacred month.
Testifies the Holy Quran: "Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down as a guide to mankind, it also having clear signs for guidance and judgement between right and wrong."
Ramadan is the month of self-restraint. It symbolises for the Muslim community a time of soul-seaching and a fresh new invocation of faith. With the beginning of the month of fasting, it becomes the responsability of every Muslim to call forth within himself the spirit of the belief which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) inaugurated through Islam.
At the core of that belief is a readiness on the part of Muslims to abjure pleasures of a worldly nature and instead focus on a reflection on the munificence of the Creator, the abundance of which can only serve to further buttress individual faith. In Ramadan, it is faith that is sorely tested, through Muslims sacrificing their temporal desires in favour of spiritual enlightenment.

The nature of such enlightenment necessarily comes through prayer and fasting for every Muslim. It is religious duty ordained by faith and has no room for compromise. More importantly, fasting entails a temperament that brings total commitment to the observance of the principles of Islam. Fasting is reduced to pointlessness when the individual engaged in it only appears to be going without food and drink for a whole day, until the call to prayer at Maghrib. In other words, fasting, being one of the pillars of the Islamic faith that its adherents must strenuously uphold, is at once an emotion and an act that begins somewhere deep within the soul and reaches out toward a higher plane of spiritual belief.

[Now, some people, like the non-believers might say that the muslim fasting is dangerous to health. It happened so many times to be asked to leave this fast because i destroy my stomach, but how can Allah who loves us the most make us do something bad to us? This is not possible, so i have one video which will answer all the questions regarding this matter:

Indeed, self-abnegation is at the core of fasting. Absolute abstinence from all those pleasures that undermine religiosity is the underlying thought during the holy month. At the same time, it is fellow feeling, a concern for those who are deprived and therefore suffer through their lives, that is the priority in Ramadan. The poor need to be helped, the ailing require sympathy and assistance from those more fortunate. Let that lesson be renewed in Ramadan.
Let Ramadan this year, therefore, be a renewed opportunity for Muslims around the world to rediscover their innermost qualities through a clear pursuit of their faith. That Islam is a religion of peace, that it abhors extremism and terrorism in the name of faith, is a truth that must be reasserted in Ramadan.
Honesty, sincerity, courage of conviction and an upholding of the truth are the attributes Muslims are expected to maintain and promote in this holy month.
Ramadan commences with the sighting of the new moon and ends when the new moon of Shawal is seen. Fasting is an ancient form of worship recognised by all religions. But Islam introduced a new spirit into the institution of fasting. For the first time in history, fasting was blessed with a systematic regulation, a scientific method, a noble justification. In the days before the Prophet (pbuh), fasting meant the suffering of privation in the hours of mourning and sorrow. Islam introduced a revolutionary innovation, and Al-Siyam stood not for mere suffering or abstinence but as an institution for the moral uplift and spiritual elevation of the human soul.

Al-Siyam or the fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, is indeed a boon, a divine privilege, a glorious opportunity unparalleled by any other act of piety or worship. "It is an armour", declares the Prophet(pbuh), "with which one protects oneself".

Why Allah sent prophets and messengers?

Ever since people innovated the dogma of Shirk, (i.e. joining others in worship along with Allah), Allah had been sending Prophets and Messengers to His devotees in order to invite them to the worship of Allah and Allah Alone, to order them not to ascribe partners unto Him and bring them out of the darkness of polytheism into the light of Monotheism. All the Prophets preached Tauhid (i.e. Monotheism, the Belief in the Oneness of Allah, the Glorious, the Elevated). The following Verses from the Noble Qur'an illustrate this fact:

"Indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: 'O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha illallah, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a great Day!' " (V. 7:59)

"And to 'Ad (people, We sent) their brother Hud. He said: 'O my people! Worship Allah!You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha illallah, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Will you not fear (Allah)?' "(V. 7:65)

"And to (the people of) Madyan (Midian), (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. He said: 'O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha illallah, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Verily, a clear proof (sign) from your Lord has come unto you, so give full measure and full weight and wrong not men in their things, and do not make mischief on the earth after it has been set in order, that will be better for you, if you are believers.' " (V. 7:85)

"And to Thamud (people, We sent) their brother Salih. He said: 'O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha illallah, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah).' " (V. 7:73)

"And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): Worship Allah (Alone) and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." (V. 16:36)

Ramadan Intention

Asalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh si Ramadan Mubarak tuturor musulmanilor. Allah swt sa ne intareasca imanul si sa ne fie iertate pacatele inshAllah.
Odata cu inceperea Ramadanului apar si diverse intrebari cu privire la cum incepem si cum rupem postul, iar pentru cei noi convertiti e bine sa stie ca imediat dupa Adhanul de fajr se rosteste intentia(niyyah/niyat), in acest moment incepand si postul, iar imediat la auzirea adhanului pentru maghrib e timpul sa rupem postul si de asemenea trebuie sa rostim o intentie.

Cand incepem postul (When begining the fast)

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri ramadan

(I intend to keep the fast today in the month of Ramadan)

Cand rupem postul (When breaking the fast)

اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ وَ عَلى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ

Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa 'ala rizq-ika aftarthu

(O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance)[abu Dawud]

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَ ابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَ ثَبَتَ الأجْرُ إنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

dhahabadh-dhama'u wab-tallatil 'urūūqi, wa thabatal arju inshaAllah

(The thrist is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed, is Allah [Ta'ala] Wills)

The meaning of Zakat

Zakat means growth (nam'a), blessings (barakah), purification (taharah), or appreciation (madh). It is called zakat because one's wealth grows through the blessings of giving part of it and the prayer of those who receive it. Zakat purifies its giver of his/her sins and is clearly ordered by God. The Quran says "Take alms of their wealth and make them pure and clean " (9:103).

There are two main type of zakat:

Zakat on self (zakat al-fitr or fitra). This zakat is caused by breaking the fasting at the end of Ramadan. It is sometimes called sadaqat al-fitr. Zakat ul-fitr is leived on individual and not on his/her wealth. Zakat ul-Fitr is mandatory for every Muslim, young, old, men, women, free and captive.

Zakat on wealth(zakat ul-mal). -Zakat was instituted among Muslims to carry out a variety of objectives. Islam ordained zakat to achieve, through it, social justice and sublime moral and spiritual values. It is a criterion for the believers and a way to success in this life and the next. Allah says, "Who establishes worship and spend of that we have bestowed upon them, these are the true believers. For them are grades of honor with their Lord, and forgiveness, and a beautiful provision". [8:3-4]

Hadith on Zakat

~ "Money is only yours when you spend it in Allah (SWT) `s way."

~ "The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, "Whosoever clothes another Muslim, Allah (SWT) will cloth him on the Day of Judgment with clothes of Heaven (Jannat)."

~ "The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Indeed, an ignorant man who is generous is dearer to God than a worshipper who is miserly."

~ "The Prophet Muhammad, as reported by Abu Hurairah. Every morning two angels come down from the Heaven. One says, "O Allah! Reward all those who give in Your cause", while the other says, "O Allah! Uproot every miser who withholds."

~ "The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Wealth is (like) green and sweet (fruit), and whoever takes it without greed, God will bless it for him, but whoever takes it with greed will be like someone who eats but is never satisfied. The upper (giving) hand is better than the lower (receiving) hand."

~"Ali and Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reports that the Prophet (PBUH) said, "When Zakaat is looked upon as a penalty (i.e., people will pay Zakaat with a heavy heart, as though it is a penalty), then look for violent windstorms, earthquakes, men being swallowed by the earth, metamorphosis, stones being pelted from the skies, and calamities following one another in rapid succession, like beads of rosary falling one after the other when its string is cut."

~ "When one gives Zakat with one hand the other hand should not know."

Dua for Students

Since the exams are very close we need to make a lot of dua for our sisters and brothers who are students. We ask Allah to guide them and give them patience to study and do well on the exam day.
Giving a search on google at dua for studying i have selected some simple but with a deep meaning duas for the people who will soon have exams.

Prayer for studying:

“O GOD, please bring me out of the darkness of illusions and honour me with the light of comprehension, O GOD open to us the doors of your mercy and propagate us the treasure of your knowledge by your mercy O the most merciful of the merciful ones.”

I. Dua before studying:

اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْـتَنِي وَ عَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي

Allâhumma infa‘nî bimâ ‘allamtanî wa ‘allimnî ma yanfa‘unî.

{Oh Allah! Make useful for me what You taught me and teach me knowledge that will be useful to me.}

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فَهْمَ النَّ بِيِّينَ وَ حِفْظَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ

Allâhumma innî as’aluka fahm an-nabiyyîna wa hifdh al-mursalîn al-muqarrabîn.

{Oh Allah! I ask You for the understanding of the prophets and the memory of the messengers, and those nearest to You.}

II. Dua for removing anxiety:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَ الْحَزَنِ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ العَجْزِ وَ الْكَسَلِ

وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَ الْبُخْلِ وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ و قَهْرِ الرجال

Allâhumma innî a‘ûdhu bika min al-hammi wa al-hazan. Wa a‘ûdhu bika min al-‘ajzi wa al-kasal.

Wa a‘ûdhu bika min al-jubni wa al-bukhl. Wa a‘ûdhu bika min ghalabat id-dayni wa qahr ir-rijal.

{Oh Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from overpowering of debt and from oppression of men.}

III. Dua after studying:

“Allahumma inni astaodeeka ma qara’tu wama hafaz-tu. Farudduhu ‘allaya inda hajati elahi. Innaka ‘ala ma-tasha’-u qadeer wa anta hasbeeya wa na’mal wakeel”

“Oh Allah! I entrust you with what I have read and I have studied. Oh Allah! Bring it back to me when I am in need of it. Oh Allah! You do whatever you wish, you are my availer and protector and the best of aid.”

IV. Dua while studying something difficult:

“Allahumma la sahla illama ja-‘altahu sahla anta taj ‘alu al hazana eza ma shi’ta sahal.”

“Oh Allah! Nothing is easy except what you have made easy. If you wish, you can make the difficult easy.”

V. Dua for concentration:

“Salla-l-laahu alaa Muhammad wa aal-e Muhammad. Allahumma inni as’aluka yaa mudhakkira-l khayr wa faa’ilahu wa-l-aamimira bihi dhakir-ni maa ansaani-hi-shaytan.”

“Blessings of God be upon Muhammad and his progeny. O God, I ask you, the one who mentions goodness and actualizes it and commands it, remind me of that which the shaytan makes me forget.”

Hadith Qudsi

Asalamu aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority is traced back not to the Prophet but to Almighty Allah. It is that which Allah the Almighty has communicated to His Prophet through revelation or in dream, and he, peace be upon him, has communicated it in his own words.

Hadith Qudsi 11:

On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said:

Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.

It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim).

Hadith Qudsi 13:

On the authority of Adiyy ibn Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and there came to him two men: one of them was complaining of penury (being very poor), while the other was complaining of brigandry (robbery). The Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: As for brigandry, it will be but a short time before a caravan will [be able to] go out of Mecca without a guard. As for penury, the Hour (Day of Judgement) will not arrive before one of you takes his charity around without finding anyone to accept it from him. Then (1) one of you will surely stand before Allah, there being no screed between Him and him, nor an interpreter to translate for him. Then He will say to him: Did I not bring you wealth? And he will say: Yes. Then He will say: Did I not send to you a messenger? And he will say: Yes. And he will look to his right and will see nothing but Hell-fire, then he will look to his left and will see nothing but Hell-fire, so let each of you protect himself against Hell-fire, be it with even half a date - and if he finds it not, then with a kind word.
(1) i.e. at the time of the Hour. It was related by al-Bukhari.

Hadith Qudsi 16:

On the authority of son of Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), among the sayings he related from his Lord (glorified and exalted be He) is that He said: Allah has written down the good deeds and the bad ones. Then He explained it [by saying that] he who has intended a good deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds to seven hundred times, or many times over. But if he has intended a bad deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed.
It was related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

Hadith Qudsi 18:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection: O son of Adam, I fell ill and you visited Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink whin You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me.
It was related by Muslim.

Hadith Qudsi 21:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said that Allah the Almighty said: There are three (1) whose adversary I shall be on the Day of Resurrection: a man who has given his word by Me and has broken it; a man who has sold a free man (2) and has consumed the price; and a man who has hired a workman, has exacted his due in full from him and has not given him his wage.

(1) i.e. types of men.

(2) i.e. a man who has made a slave of another and has sold him.

It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Ibn Majah and Ahmad ibn Hanbal).

Hadith Qudsi 26:

On the authority of Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Truly of those devoted to Me the one I most favour is a believer who is of meagre means and much given to prayer, who has been particular in the worship of his Lord and has obeyed Him inwardly (1), who was obscure among people and not pointed our, and whose sustenance was just sufficient to provide for him yet he bore this patiently. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) rapped his hand and said: Death will have come early to him, his mourners will have been few, his estate scant.
(1) i.e. he has not been ostentatious in his obedience.
It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Ibn Majah). Its chain of authorities is sound.

Hadith Qudsi 30:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: If My servant likes to meet Me, I like to meet him; and if he dislikes to meet Me, I dislike to meet him. Prophetic explanation of this Sacred Hadith: He who likes to meet Allah, Allah likes to meet him; and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Prophet of Allah, is it because of the dislike of death, for all of us dislike death? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: It is not so, but rather it is that when the believer is given news of Allah's mercy, His approval and His Paradise, he likes to meet Allah and Allah likes to meet him; but when the unbeliever is given news of Allah's punishment and His displeasure, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah dislikes to meet him.
It was related by al-Bukhari and Malik. The Prophetic version is related by Muslim.

Hadith Qudsi 31:

On the authority of Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) related: A man said: By Allah, Allah will not forgive So-and-so. At this Allah the Almighty said: Who is he who swears by Me that I will not forgive So-and-so? Verily I have forgiven So-and-so and have nullified your [own good] deeds (1) (or as he said [it]).

(1) A similar Hadith, which is given by Abu Dawud, indicates that the person referred to was a goldly man whose previous good deeds were brought to nought through presuming to declare that Allah would not forgive someone's bad deeds.

It was related by Muslim.

Hadith Qudsi 33:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him), from among the things he reports from his Lord (mighty and sublime be He), is that he said: A servant [of Allah's] committed a sin and said: O Allah, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. Then he sinned again and said: O Lord, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for them. Then he sinned again and said: O Lord, forgive me my sin. And He (glorified and exalted be He) said: My servant has committed a sin and has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for sins. Do what you wish, for I have forgiven you.
It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari).

Hadith Qudsi 39:

On the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Paradise and Hell-fire disputed together, and Hell-fire said: In me are the mighty and the haughty. Paradise said: In me are the weak and the poor. So Allah judged between them, [saying]: You are Paradise, My mercy; through you I show mercy to those I wish. And you are Hell-fire, My punishment; through you I punish those I wish, and it is incumbent upon Me that each of you shall have its fill.

The concept of human being in Islam

1. The Human being’s Nature:

The concept of Fitrah (Nature) has always been a matter of concern to scholars, whose views have varied with time.

The Linguistic Meaning of Fitrah:

According to Prophet (pbuh), “Every child in born in the state of Fitrah. His parents then, make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian.”

The word Fitrah comes from the Arabic radicals, Fa’ara. The root action means ‘he clave, split or cracked it.’

The term Fitrah literally means, creation; the cause of a thing to exist for the first time; and the natural constitution with which a child is created in his mother’s womb. It is said that this is the meaning in the Quranic verse and in the Hadith.

General Views of Fitrah:

Fitrah is also associated with Islam and being born as a Muslim. Fitrah in this sense, is the faculty, which Allah has created in mankind, of know Him. The child is created in his mother’s womb with the natural constitution. He, therefore, is capable of accepting the religion of truth.

There is a number of general views with regard to nature:

1. The first view is that man has only biological nature. According to Skinner, “a person’s behaviour is determined by a genetic endowment.----------- ”

2. The second view is that this nature is not fixed. Karl Marx says: According to Historical materialism, man, as animal, desires to exist. To do so men invent tools to use as means of subsistence. As soon as they do so, they “begin to distinguish them selves from animals.”

3. The third view is that some people are intrinsically good while others are intrinsically evil and there is nothing that any of them can do about their predetermined nature. In its religious form, this view has many adherents among the followers of the three famous religions: Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

4. Fourth view is that all human beings are born evil one may cite the Christian doctrine of original sin as it is officially interpreted, Adam’s sin corrupted him and the whole human race was corrupted through him, which is totally wrong.

2. Muslim View of Fitrah:

i. Classical View to Fitrah:

Starting from predestinarian view which tried to show that there is no difference between things that happen in the world in general and the actions of human being; all of them being continuously and directly created by Allah.

In responding to it, the Neutral view emphasized Divine justice in defence of free will. It maintained that there could be no Divine justice without human free will.

ii. Modern View to Fitrah:

According to the Dual view, man as a free being and decision-maker, is poised between that part of his nature which comprises the clay of the earth and that of the other part which comprises the Spirit from Allah. It is believed that man has a conscious faculty that enables him to distinguish the good from the evil-------

3. Man from the view point of Islam:

The Quran views man as a moral being, capable of distinguishing between right and wrong and free to choose either. The Quran clearly states the fact of man’s potentialities for becoming good or bad, as he decides for himself.

General and Positive characteristics of the Human Being:

1. All Human beings are from the same origin:

All human beings originate from Adam and Eve, and therefore, they are equal and no one can claim to be nobler or superior to other.

2. Allah honours the human beings:

Allah has honoured the human beings and blessed them with qualities that advanced them to all other creatures.

3. Human beings have the right to live:

Human beings have the right to live an honourable and respected life. No one is allowed to harm them or take away that life.

4. Human beings are Allah’s vicegerent on earth:

Allah blessed human with so many qualities to enable them fulfill their task of being Allah’s vicegerent on earth.

5. Human beings are created in the best of forms:

The unique quality that Allah has bestowed upon humans is that he created them in the best of forms and moulds.

6. Human beings are given dominance over the universe:

7. Human beings are given mind and power of thought:

Allah has blessed human beings with the mind and power of thought, the ability to make choice, which in turn highlights the concept of freewill.

8. Human beings are given the privilege of spiritual element:

They are also given the spirit that Allah breathed into them. This spirituality can act as a guide and makes them focus on their aims of existence when they become so much involved with their lives.

9. Human beings have no mediators to approach Allah:

Unlike other ideologies, in Islam, human beings do not need any mediator. They can worship their God directly and whenever they want.

10. Human beings are bestowed with abilities to carry out their responsibilities:

Allah gives them the ability to carry out what they can burden.

11. Human being’s basic nature is familiar to Allah:

All Human beings are familiar to Allah as their Creator within their nature and original state.

12. Human beings enjoy moral conscience:

Human beings love the good and refrain from the evil.

13. Human beings are created to worship Allah:

Man and life can not be without a purpose. He has been created to make an evolutionary progress in all the dimensions of his existence and ultimately to make a journey towards absolute perfection.

4. Some Negative Characteristics of the Human Being:

1. Hastiness:

The human is a hasty creature, most of the times he acts without planning and only considers what he reaches in a short time

2. Ungratefulness:

It is clear aspect of the human being that he does forget, he forgets his aim in life, reason for existence and even more forgets simple things in his daily life.

3. Tyranny:

Once the human forgets the aim in life and reason for his creation he tends to imagine that he is the master of the universe and this leads him to transgress.

4. Fearfulness:

A person who lives recklessly, would be under control of a soul prone to evil, which is known in Arabic as (an- nafs al- ammarah bi al- su’).

When his soul feels conscious of evil, resists it, asks Allah’s grace and pardon and hopes to reach salvation, it is known in Arabic as (an-nafs al- lawwamah)

If the human being is sincere in asking Allah’s grace and pardon, and tries to do every good deed, he reaches the highest stage of all, when his soul achieves full rest and satisfaction, it is known in Arabic as (an- nfas al- mutma’innah).

5. Types of people in the Quran:

Muslims scholars, group mankind generally into three categories:

Those who live only for this world and its pleasures. They are the materialists in belief and action.
Those who are confused and hence have no clear vision of their existence.
Those who accept the worldly life to be the seed-bed for the life of the Hereafter. They fully recognize the meaning of life and Hereafter and the relation between the two.

Once there was this guy (Dad), who decided to move from the place where he used to live. He had a wife (Mom), a teenage son and a horse. So when they were heading out, he let his wife and his son sit on the horse while he was walking, leading the horse.

Very soon, they made it to a nearby town. “Oh wow, what a sight!” said one of the town’s people, teasingly. “Look at that shameless boy. His old father is leading the horse and he is just sitting on the horse and having fun.” The boy felt embarrassed and got down from the horse. Afterwards the dad sat on the horse and the son was walking with the horse, leading it to the next town.

They stopped on the next town. When those people of that town saw them, they said, “look at that guy! He is sitting on the horse while he is making his young son work. This poor boy has such a cruel father.” So the dad got down from the horse. This time they decided that both the dad and the son will walk with the horse while the mom stays sited.

After awhile they came to the next town. “Look at that lady! She’s sitting on the horse like a queen and making her husband and her son do all the work.” Says the town’s people. The mom climbed down from the horse, red in embarrassment. So now the dad, mom and the son decided that none of them will sit on the horse. They'll just walk all together.

So they all walked to the next town. The people there said, “Look at these ungrateful people! Allah gave them such a strong and healthy horse but they are not even using it. That’s too bad.” After hearing them, 3 of them sat down on the horse and headed for the next town.

As they reached to the next town, the people over there literally screamed. “OMG! That poor animal! Don’t you guys have any heart? How can you torture this poor helpless creature?!” The dad, mom and the son quickly got down from the horse. They wondered that to do now. Without seeing any way, 3 of them picked up the horse on their heads and started walking towards the next town.

The people of the next town burst out laughing as soon as they saw them carrying the horse on top of their heads. “These people are such fools! They don’t even know how to ride a horse, hahaha.” They laughed.

The 3 of them put the horse down and sat down on the ground, not knowing what to do.

Un imparat din Orientul Indepartat imbatrani si se hotari ca veni momentul sa-si alega un successor. In loc sa faca aceasta alegere din cei apropiati lui sau dintre fii sai el lua o alta hotarare. Aduna toti tinerii din regat si le spuse “E timpul pt mine sa ma retrag si sa-mi aleg succesorul si am decis sa fie unul din voi."
Tinerii au fost socati la auzul vestii, dar imparatul continua:”Am sa va dau o samanta fiecaruia dintre voi O samanta foarte speciala. Vreau sa o plantati, sa o udati si sa veniti dupa un an cu ceea ce a crescut din aceasta samanta. Atunci voi decide in functie de plantele pe care mi le veti aduce si imi voi alege succesorul.” Un baiat pe care il chema Ling era si el de fata in acea zi si primi si el asemenea celorlati o samanta.Pleca acasa foarte entuziasmat si povesti mamei sale cele intamplate. Aceasta il ajuta sa planteze samanta si sa o ude zilnic. In fiecare zi o uda si se uita sa vada daca a crescut ceva din ea. Dupa 3 saptamani,unii tineri incepura sa vorbeasca despre ceea ce au semanat ,despre plantele care au inceput sa creasca.
Ling continua sa verifice ,dar nu crestea nimic.De atunci trecura 3 saptamani,4 saptamani,5 saptamani si nimic. De acum ceilalti tineri vorbeu despre plantele lor,dar Ling????
Ei bine Ling nu avea despre ce vorbi. De ce? va intrebati. Ei bine raspunsul este : Pentru ca Ling nu avea o planta si simtea ca undeva a gresit.
Trecura 6 luni si nimic nu crestea absolut nimic. Ling se gandea acum ”Oare i-am pus prea multa apa si am omorat-o?” .
Toti ceilalti aveau acum copaci si plante inalte, dar el, ei bine el nu avea nimic. Ling nu spuse nimic prietenilor sai.Tot astepta sa-i creasca planta. Anul trecu si in sfarsit toti tinerii din regat trebuiau sa se prezinte cu recolta in fata regelui.. Ling spuse mamei sale ca el nu merge la rege cu mana goala.Dar mama ii spuse ca nu e cinstit trebui sa mearga sa spun ace s-a intamplat. Ling simti un gol in stomac dar stiu ca asa era corect.. Lua cosul gol si pleca la palat.Cand ajunse,fu uimit de varietatea de fructe si legume care le aveau ceilalti tineri in cos.Erau foarte frumoase si de diferite dimensiuni. Ling puse cosul gol jos iar ceilalti rasera de el.Doar putini il compatimira si ii spusera “Hei buna incercare.”

1. Narrated 'Umar bin Abi Salama: I was a boy under the care of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) and my hand used to go around the dish while I was eating. So Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said to me, 'O boy! Mention the Name of Allah and eat with your right hand, and eat of the dish what is nearer to you." Since... then I have applied those instructions when eating. (Bukhari Book 7 Volume 65 Hadith 288)

2. Ibn Umar (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: The similitude of a hypocrite is that of a sheep which roams aimlessly between two flocks. She goes to one at one time and to the other at another time. (Muslim Book 38, Number 6696)

3. Abu Ayyub Ansiri reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: It is not permissible for a Muslim to have estranged relations with his brother beyond three nights, the one turning one way and the other turning the other way when they meet ; the better of the two is one who is the first to give a greeting. (Muslim Book 32, Number 6210)

4. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "A man felt very thirsty while he was on the way, there he came across a well. He went down the well, quenched his thirst and came out. Meanwhile he saw a dog panting and licking mud because of excessive thirst. He said to himself, "This dog is suffering from ...thirst as I did." So, he went down the well again and filled his shoe with water and watered it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him. The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Is there a reward for us in serving the animals?" He replied: "Yes, there is a reward for serving any animate (living being)." (Bukhari Book 3 Volume 43 Hadith 646)

5. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "There was amongst those before you a man who had a wound. He was in [such] anguish that he took a knife and made with it a cut in his hand, and the blood did not cease to flow till he died. Allah the Almighty said: My servant has himself forestalled Me; I have forbidden him Paradise." [Hadith Qudsi 28]

Narrated By Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The worst people in the Sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be the double faced people who appear to some people with one face and to other people with another face." Nafi' reported from 'Abdullah that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: A woman was punished because she had kept a cat tied until it died, and (as a punishment of this offence) she was thrown into the Hell. She had not provided it with food, or drink, and had not freed her so that she could eat the insects ...of the earth. [Muslim Book 026, Hadith Number 5570]

8. Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Verily Allah likes three things for you and He disapproves three things for you. He is pleased with you that you worship Him and associate nor anything with Him, that you hold fast the rope of Allah, and be not scattered; and He disapproves for y...ou irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and the wasting of wealth. (Muslim Book 18 No. 4255)

9. It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that Nu'man b. Qaufal came to the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) and said: Would I enter Paradise if I say the obligatory prayers and deny myself that which is forbidden and treat that as lawful what has been made permissible (by the Shari'ah) ? The Holy Prophet (may peace... be upon him) replied in the affirmative. (Muslim Book 1 No. 0015)

10. From the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you." [Hadith Qudsi No. 11]

11. Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (pbuh) said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three: Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie; and whenever he promises, he breaks his promise; and whenever he is entrusted, he betrays (proves to be dishonest)..." [Bukhari Volume 8 Book 73 No. 117]

Oricine isi incepe astfel ziua este un vinzator al propriului suflet , fie eliberindu-l , fie ducindu-l la ruina . "

Fiul lui 'Umar (Allah sa fie multumit de el ! ) a relatat ca Profetul (Pacea si binecuvintarea lui Allah fie asupra sa ! ) a spus : "Musulmanul este fratele musulmanului ; nu il nedreptateste si nu il vinde . Iar celui care va implini necesitatile fratelui sau Allah ii va implini necesitatile. Iar pe cel care il scapa pe un musulman de o nenorocire Allah il va scapa pe el de una dintre nenorocirile Zilei de Apoi .Iar cine acopera lipsurile unui musulman , Allah ii va acoperi si lui lipsurile. "

6. Anas (Allah sa fie multumit de el!) a relatat ca Profetul(saws) a spus:"Dintre semnele Ceasului : lipsa stiintei, raspandirea ignorantei, a preacurviei,consumul bauturilor alcoolice,scaderea nr barbatilor si cresterea celui al femeilor pana se va ajunge sa revina unui singur barbat 50 de femei."

7. Abu Hurairah(Allah sa fie multumit de el!) a relatat ca Profetul(saws) a spus:"Uitati-va la cei care sunt mai prejos(se refera la starea materiala) de voi si nu va uitati la cei care sunt mai presus de voi; astfel va fi mai usor pt voi sa nu uitati binecuvantarile lui Allah asupra voastra."

8. Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (Allah sã-l aibã în mila Sa!) a relatat cã Trimisul lui Allah mã îndemna sã recit totdeauna când merg la culcare: O, Allah, m-am predat tie, cãtre Tine mi-am întors fata. si m-am încredintat tie, din dorintã si fricã fatã de Tine (cu sperantã pentru rãsplata Ta si fricã de pedeapsa Ta). Nimeni nu se poate ascunde de Tine, decât dacã de la Tine îi vine puterea. Cred în Cartea pe care ai revelat-o si în Profetul pe care l-ai trimis. Trimisul lui Allah a spus cã dacã cineva repeta aceste cuvinte si se întâmpla sã moarã în acea noapte, el murea în adevãrata religie. În cazul în care trãieste pânã dimineata, el va avea parte de bine.

9. Ibn 'Abbas (Allah sã-l aibã în mila Sa!) a relatat cã Trimisul lui
Allah a spus: "Sunt douã binecuvântãri pe care oamenii le pot prinde:sãnãtatea si timpul liber pentru a face bine." (Bukhari)

10. Abu Huraira (Allah sã-l aibã în mila Sa!) a relatat cã Trimisul
lui Allah a spus: Un credincios puternic este mai bun si mai plãcut lui Allah decât unul slab. Dintre toate lucrurile bune, sã le doriti pe cele folositoare vouã. Implorati-L continuu pe Allah sã vã dea ajutor si nu vã înfrânati. Dacã sunteti loviti în vreun fel, sã nu spuneti: Dacã as fi fãcut asa sau asa, as fi avut cutare sau cutare rezultat, ci spuneti numai: Allah a hotãrât si a fãcut cum a voit El.

11. Allah Preaînaltul spune: "Iar aceia care îi vor necãji pe dreptcredinciosi si pe dreptcredincioase, fara ca ei sa fi agonisit [ceva pentru care sa merite aceasta],
aceia vor avea parte de ponegrire si de pacat invederat." (33 : 58)

12. Abu Dharr (Allah sa-l aiba in mila Sa!) a relatat ca l-a auzit

pe Trimisul lui Allah (pacea si binecuvantarea lui Allah fie asupra lui!)
spunand: "Daca un musulman acuza pe altul pentru nesupunere fata de
Allah ori de necredinta, acuza se intoarce asupra celui care a rostit-o, daca
omul acela nu o merita." (Bukhari)

13. Abu Huraira (Allah sa-l aiba in mila Sa!) a relatat ca Trimisul
lui Allah (pacea si binecuvantarea lui Allah fie asupra lui!) a zis: "Cand doua
persoane se ocarasc una pe cealalta, primul va fi pacatosul, atata vreme
cat cel asuprit nu depaseste limita." (Muslim)

14. Abu Huraira (Allah sa-l aiba in mila Sa!) a relatat: La Trimisul
lui Allah (pacea si binecuvantarea lui Allah fie asupra lui!) a fost adus un
betiv. El a zis: "Dati-i o bataie buna." Atunci cativa dintre ei l-au batut cu
palmele, cu papucii, iar altii cu bucati de panza. Dupa ce el a plecat,

Question
How can you prove the existence of hereafter, i.e. life after death?
Answer

1. Belief in the hereafter is not based on blind faith?
Many people wonder as to how a person with a scientific and logical
temperament, can lend any credence to the belief of life after death. People
assume that anyone believing in the hereafter is doing so on the basis of blind
belief.
My belief in the hereafter is based on a logical argument.

2. Hereafter a logical belief
There are more than a thousand verses in the Glorious Qur’an, containing
scientific facts. Many facts mentioned in the Qur’an have been discovered in
the last few centuries. But science has not advanced to a level where it can
confirm every statement of the Qur’an.
Suppose 80% of all that is mentioned in the Qur’an has been proved 100% correct.
About the remaining 20%, science makes no categorical statement, since it has
not advanced to a level, where it can either prove or disprove these statements.
With the limited knowledge that we have, we cannot say for sure whether even a
single percentage or a single verse of the Qur’an from this 20% portion is wrong.
Thus when 80% of the Qur’an is 100% correct and the remaining 20% is not
disproved, logic says that even the 20% portion is correct. The existence of the
hereafter, which is mentioned in the Qur’an, falls in the 20% ambiguous portion
which my logic says is correct.

3. Concept of peace and human values is useless without the concept of hereafter
Is robbing a good or an evil act? A normal balanced person would say it is evil.
How would a person who does not believe in the hereafter convince a powerful
and influential criminal that robbing is evil?
Suppose I am the most powerful and influential criminal in the world. At the
same time I am an Intelligent and a logical person. I say that robbing is good
because it helps me lead a luxurious life. Thus robbing is good for me.
If anybody can put forward a single logical argument as to why it is evil for me,
I will stop immediately. People usually put forward the following arguments:
a. The person who is robbed will face difficulties
Some may say that the person who is robbed will face difficulties. I certainly
agree that it is bad for the person who is robbed. But it is good for me. If I rob
a thousand dollars, I can enjoy a good meal at a 5 star restaurant.
b. Some one may rob you
Some people argue that someday I may be robbed. No one can rob me
because I am a very powerful criminal and I have hundreds of bodyguards. I can
rob anybody but nobody can rob me. Robbing may be a risky profession for a
common man but not for an influential person like me.
c. The police may arrest you
Some may say, if you rob, you can be arrested by the police. The police cannot
arrest me because I have the police on my payroll. I have the ministers on my
payroll. I agree that if a common man robs, he will be arrested and it will be bad
for him, but I am an extraordinarily influential and powerful criminal.
Give me one logical reason why it is bad for me and I will stop robbing.
d. Its easy money
Some may say its easy money and not hard-earned money. I agree completely
that it is easy money, and that is one of the main reasons why I rob. If a person
has the option of earning money the easy as well as the hard way, any logical
person would choose the easy way.
e. It is against humanity
Some may say it is against humanity and that a person should care for other
human beings. I counter argue by asking as to who wrote this law called
‘humanity’ and why should I follow it?
This law may be good for the emotional and sentimental people but I am a
logical person and I see no benefit in caring for other human beings.
f. It is a selfish act
Some may say that robbing is being selfish. It is true that robbing is a selfish act;
but then why should I not be selfish? It helps me enjoy life.

1. No logical reason for robbing being an evil act
Hence all arguments that attempt to prove that robbing is an evil act are futile.
These arguments may satisfy a common man but not a powerful and influential
criminal like me. None of the arguments can be defended on the strength of reason
and logic. It is no surprise that there are so many criminals in this world.
Similarly raping, cheating etc. can be justified as good for a person like me and
there is no logical argument that can convince me that these things are bad.
2. A Muslim can convince a powerful and influential criminal
Now let us switch sides. Suppose you are the most powerful and influential
criminal in the world, who has the police and the ministers on his payroll. You
have army of thugs to protect you. I am a Muslim who will convince you that
robbing, raping, cheating, etc. are evil acts.
Even if I put forth the same arguments to prove that robbing is evil the criminal
will respond the same way as he did earlier.
I agree that the criminal is being logical and all his arguments are true only
when he is the most powerful and influential criminal.
3. Every human being wants justice
Each and every human being desires justice. Even if he does not want justice
for others he wants justice for himself. Some people are intoxicated by power
and influence and inflict pain and suffering on others. The same people,
however, would surely object if some injustice was done to them. The reason
such people become insensitive to the suffering of others is that they worship
power and influence. Power and influence, they feel, not only allows them to
inflict injustice on others but also prevents others from doing likewise to them.
4. God is Most Powerful and Just
As a Muslim I would convince the criminal about the existence of Almighty God
(refer to answer proving the existence of God). This God is more powerful than
you and at the same time is also just.
The Glorious Qur’an says:
“Allah is never unjust in the least degree”
[Al-Qur’an 4:40]
5. Why does God not punish me?
The criminal, being a logical and scientific person, agrees that God exists, after
being presented with scientific facts from the Qur’an. He may argue as to why
God, if He is Powerful and Just, does not punish him.
6. The people who do injustice should be punished
Every person who has suffered injustice, irrespective of financial or social
status, almost certainly wants the perpetrator of injustice to be punished. Every
normal person would like the robber or the rapist to be taught a lesson. Though
a large number of criminals are punished, many even go scot-free. They lead a
pleasant, luxurious life, and even enjoy a peaceful existence. If injustice is done
to a powerful and influential person, by someone more powerful and more
influential than he, even such a person would want that person perpetrators of
injustice to be punished.
7. This life is a test for the hereafter
This life is a test for the hereafter. The Glorious Qur’an says:
“He who created Death and life that He may try which of you is best in
deed; and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving”
[Al-Qur’an 67:2]
8. Final justice on day of judgement
The Glorious Qur’an says:
“Every soul shall have a taste of death: and only on the Day of
Judgement shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is
saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained
the object (of life): for the life of this world is but goods and chattels of
deception.”
[Al-Qur’an 3:185]
Final justice will be meted out on the Day of Judgement. After a person dies, he
will be resurrected on the Day of Judgement along with the rest of mankind. It
is possible that a person receives part of his punishment in this world. The final
reward and punishment will only be in the hereafter. God Almighty may not
punish a robber or a rapist in this world but he will surely be held accountable
on the Day of Judgement and will be punished in the hereafter i.e. life after
death.
9. What punishment can the human law give Hitler?
Hitler incinerated six million Jews during his reign of terror. Even if the
police had arrested him, what punishment can the human law give Hitler
for justice to prevail? The most they can do is to send Hitler to the gas
chamber. But that will only be punishment for the killing of one Jew.
What about the remaining five million, nine hundred and ninety nine
thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine Jews?
10. Allah can burn Hitler more than six million times in hellfire
Allah say in the Glorious Qur’an:
“Those who reject Our signs, We shall sooncast into the Fire;as often as
their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins,
that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise”
[Al-Qur’an 4:56]
If Allah wishes he can incinerate Hitler six million times in the hereafter in the
hellfire.
11. No concept of human values or good and bad without concept
of hereafter
It is clear that without convincing a person about the hereafter, i.e. life after
death, the concept of human values and the good or evil nature of acts is
impossible to prove to any person who is doing injustice especially when he is
influential and powerful.

Non-muslims not allowed in Makkah

Question:
Why are non-Muslims not allowed in the Holy cities of Makkah and Madinah?
Answer:
It is true that non-Muslims are not allowed in the holy cities of Makkah and
Madinah, by law. The following points will serve to elucidate the possible
reasoning behind such a restriction.

1. All citizens are not permitted in the cantonment area
I am a citizen of India. Yet, I am not permitted to enter certain restricted areas
like the cantonment. In every country there are certain areas where a common
citizen of that country cannot enter. Only a citizen who is enrolled in the military
or those who are connected with the defence of the country are allowed in the
cantonment area. Similarly Islam is a Universal Religion for the entire world and
for all human beings. The cantonment areas of Islam are the two holy cites of
Makkah and Madinah. Here only those who believe in Islam and are involved in
the defence of Islam i.e. the Muslims are allowed.
It would be illogical for a common citizen to object against the restriction on
entering a cantonment area. Similarly it is not appropriate for non-Muslims to
object against the restriction on non-Muslims against entering Makkah and
Madinah.

2. Visa to enter Makkah and Madinah
a. Whenever a person travels to a foreign country he has to first apply for a
visa i.e. the permission to enter that country. Every country has its own
rules, regulations and requirements for issuing a visa. Unless their critera
are satisfied they will not issue a visa.

b. One of the countries which is very strict in issuing a visa is the United States
of America, especially when issuing visas to citizens of the third world. They
have several conditions and requirements to be fulfilled before they issue a
visa.

c. When I visited Singapore, it was mentioned on their immigration form -
death to drug traffickers. If I want to visit Singapore I have to abide by the
rules. I cannot say that death penalty is a barbaric punishment. Only if I
agree with their requirements and conditions will I be permitted to enter the
country.

d. The Visa – The primary condition required for any human being to enter
Makkah or Madina is to say with his lips, La ila ha illallah Muhammed ur
Rasulullah meaning that ‘there is no God but Allah and Muhammed (pbuh)
is His Messenger.’

Hijab for women

Question:
Why does Islam degrade women by keeping them behind the veil?
Answer:
The status of women in Islam is often the target of attacks in the secular media.
The ‘hijab’ or the Islamic dress is cited by many as an example of the
‘subjugation’ of women under Islamic law. Before we analyze the reasoning
behind the religiously mandated ‘hijab’, let us first study the status of women in
societies before the advent of Islam

1. In the past women were degraded and used as objects of lust
The following examples from history amply illustrate the fact that the status of
women in earlier civilizations was very low to the extent that they were denied
basic human dignity:

a. Babylonian Civilization:
The women were degraded and were denied all rights under the Babylonian
law. If a man murdered a woman, instead of him being punished, his wife
was put to death.

b. Greek Civilization:
Greek Civilization is considered the most glorious of all ancient civilizations.
Under this very ‘glorious’ system, women were deprived of all rights and
were looked down upon. In Greek mythology, an ‘imaginary woman’ called
‘Pandora’ is the root cause of misfortune of human beings. The Greeks
considered women to be subhuman and inferior to men. Though chastity of
women was precious, and women were held in high esteem, the Greeks
were later overwhelmed by ego and sexual perversions. Prostitution
became a regular practice amongst all classes of Greek society.

c. Roman Civilization:
When Roman Civilization was at the zenith of its ‘glory’, a man even had the
right to take the life of his wife. Prostitution and nudity were common
amongst the Romans.

d. Egyptian Civilization:
The Egyptian considered women evil and as a sign of a devil.

e. Pre-Islamic Arabia:
Before Islam spread in Arabia, the Arabs looked down upon women and
very often when a female child was born, she was buried alive.

2. Islam uplifted women and gave them equality and expects them
to maintain their status.
Islam uplifted the status of women and granted them their rights just 1400 years
ago. Islam expects women to maintain their status.

Hijab for men
People usually only discuss ‘hijab’ in the context of women. However, in the
Glorious Qur’an, Allah (swt) first mentions ‘hijab’ for men before ‘hijab’ for the
women. The Qur’an mentions in Surah Noor:

“Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard
their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah is
well acquainted with all that they do.” [Al-Qur’an 24:30]

The moment a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought
comes to his mind, he should lower his gaze.

Hijab for women.
The next verse of Surah Noor, says:
“ And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and
guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and
ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they
should draw veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty
except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their
sons...” [Al-Qur’an 24:31]

3. Six criteria for Hijab.
According to Qur’an and Sunnah there are basically six criteria for observing
hijab:

1. Extent:
The first criterion is the extent of the body that should be covered. This is
different for men and women. The extent of covering obligatory on the male
is to cover the body at least from the navel to the knees. For women, the
extent of covering obligatory is to cover the complete body except the face
and the hands upto the wrist. If they wish to, they can cover even these
parts of the body. Some scholars of Islam insist that the face and the hands
are part of the obligatory extent of ‘hijab’.
All the remaining five criteria are the same for men and women.

2. The clothes worn should be loose and should not reveal the figure.
3. The clothes worn should not be transparent such that one can see through
them.
4. The clothes worn should not be so glamorous as to attract the opposite sex.
5. The clothes worn should not resemble that of the opposite sex.
6. The clothes worn should not resemble that of the unbelievers i.e. they
should not wear clothes that are specifically identities or symbols of the
unbelievers’ religions.

4. Hijab includes conduct and behaviour among other things
Complete ‘hijab’, besides the six criteria of clothing, also includes the moral
conduct, behaviour, attitude and intention of the individual. A person only
fulfilling the criteria of ‘hijab’ of the clothes is observing ‘hijab’ in a limited sense.
‘Hijab’ of the clothes should be accompanied by ‘hijab’ of the eyes, ‘hijab’ of the
heart, ‘hijab’ of thought and ‘hijab’ of intention. It also includes the way a person
walks, the way a person talks, the way he behaves, etc.

5. Hijab prevents molestation
The reason why Hijab is prescribed for women is mentioned in the Qur’an in the
following verses of Surah Al-Ahzab:
“O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women
that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when
abroad); that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such)
and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
[Al-Qur’an 33:59]
The Qur’an says that Hijab has been prescribed for the women so that they are
recognized as modest women and this will also prevent them from being
molested.

6. Example of twin sisters
Suppose two sisters who are twins, and who are equally beautiful, walk down
the street. One of them is attired in the Islamic hijab i.e. the complete body is
covered, except for the face and the hands up to the wrists. The other sister is
wearing western clothes, a mini skirt or shorts. Just around the corner there is
a hooligan or ruffian who is waiting for a catch, to tease a girl. Whom will he
tease? The girl wearing the Islamic Hijab or the girl wearing the skirt or the mini?
Naturally he will tease the girl wearing the skirt or the mini. Such dresses are an
indirect invitation to the opposite sex for teasing and molestation. The Qur’an
rightly says that hijab prevents women from being molested.

7. Capital punishment for the rapists
Under the Islamic shariah, a man convicted of having raped a woman, is given
capital punishment. Many are astonished at this ‘harsh’ sentence. Some even
say that Islam is a ruthless, barbaric religion! I have asked a simple question to
hundreds of non-Muslim men. Suppose, God forbid, someone rapes your wife,
your mother or your sister. You are made the judge and the rapist is brought in
front of you. What punishment would you give him? All of them said they would
put him to death. Some went to the extent of saying they would torture him to
death. To them I ask, if someone rapes your wife or your mother you want to put
him to death. But if the same crime is committed on somebody else’s wife or
daughter you say capital punishment is barbaric. Why should there be double
standards?

8. Western society falsely claims to have uplifted women
Western talk of women’s liberalization is nothing but a disguised form of
exploitation of her body, degradation of her soul, and deprivation of her honour.
Western society claims to have ‘uplifted’ women. On the contrary it has actually
degraded them to the status of concubines, mistresses and society butterflies
who are mere tools in the hands of pleasure seekers and sex marketeers,
hidden behind the colourful screen of ‘art’ and ‘culture’.

9. USA has one of the highest rates of rape
United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries
of the world. It also has one of the highest rates of rape in any country in the
world. According to a FBI report, in the year 1990, every day on an average
1756 cases of rape were committed in U.S.A alone. Later another report said
that on an average everyday 1900 cases of rapes are committed in USA. The
year was not mentioned. May be it was 1992 or 1993. May be the Americans
got ‘bolder’ in the following years.
Consider a scenario where the Islamic hijab is followed in America. Whenever
a man looks at a woman and any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his
mind, he lowers his gaze. Every woman wears the Islamic hijab, that is the
complete body is covered except the face and the hands upto the wrist. After
this if any man commits rape he is given capital punishment. I ask you, in such
a scenario, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same, or
will it decrease?

10. Implementation of Islamic Shariah will reduce the rate of rapes
Naturally as soon as Islamic Shariah is implemented positive results will be
inevitable. If Islamic Shariah is implemented in any part of the world, whether it
is America or Europe, society will breathe easier. Hijab does not degrade a
woman but uplifts a woman and protects her modesty and chastity.

Why are muslims divided into sects/different schools of thought?

Question:
When all the Muslim follow one and the same Qur’an then why are there so
many sects and different schools of thoughts among Muslims?
Answer:
1. Muslims Should be United
It is a fact that Muslims today, are divided amongst themselves. The tragedy is
that such divisions are not endorsed by Islam at all. Islam believes in fostering
unity amongst its followers.
The Glorious Qur’an says:
“And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for
you), and be not divided among yourselves;” [Al-Qur’an 3:103]
Which is the rope of Allah that is being referred to in this verse? It is the Glorious
Qur’an. The Glorious Qur’an is the rope of Allah which all Muslims should hold
fast together. There is double emphasis in this verse. Besides saying ‘hold fast
all together’ it also says, ‘be not divided’.
Qur’an further says,
“Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger” [Al-Qur’an 4:59]
All the Muslim should follow the Qur’an and authentic ahadith and be not
divided among themselves.
2. It is Prohibited to make sects and divisions in Islam
The Glorious Qur’an says:
“As for those who divide Their religion and break up into sects, thou
hast no part in them in the least: Their affair is with Allah: He will in the
end tell them the truth of all that they did.” [Al-Qur’an 6:159]
In this verse Allah (swt) says that one should disassociate oneself from those
who divide their religion and break it up into sects.
But when one asks a Muslim, “who are you?”, the common answer is either ‘I
am a Sunni, or ‘I am Shia’. Some call themselves Hanafi, or Shafi or Maliki or
Humbali. Some say ‘I am a Deobandi’, while some others say ‘I am a Barelvi’.
3. Our Prophet was a Muslim
One may ask such Muslims, “Who was our beloved prophet (pbuh)? Was he a
Hanafi or a Shafi, or a Humbali or a Maliki?” No! He was a Muslim, like all the
other prophets and messengers of Allah before him.
It is mentioned in chapter 3 verse 52 of Al-Qur’an that Jesus (pbuh) was a Muslim.
Further, in chapter 3 verse 67, Al-Qur’an says that Ibrahim (pbuh) was not a
Jew or a Christian but was a Muslim.
4. Qur’an says call yourselves Muslim
a. If anyone poses a Muslim the question who are you, he should say “I am a
MUSLIM, not a Hanafi or a Shafi”. Surah Fussilat chapter 41 verse 33 says
“Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works
righteousness, and says, ‘I am of those Who bow in Islam (Muslim)?’ ”
[Al-Qur’an 41:33]
The Qur’an says “Say I am of those who bow in Islam”. In other words, say,
“I am a Muslim”.
b. The Prophet (pbuh) dictated letters to non-Muslim kings and rulers inviting
them to accept Islam. In these letters he mentioned the verse of the Qur’an
from Surah Ali Imran chapter 3 verse 64:
Say ye: “Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will).”
[Al-Qur’an 3:64]
5. Respect all the Great Scholars of Islam
We must respect all the great scholars of Islam, including the four Imaams,
Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi, Imam Humbal and Imam Malik (may Allah be
pleased with them all). They were great scholars and may Allah reward them for
their research and hardwork. One can have no objection if someone agrees
with the views and research of Imam Abu Hanifa or Imam Shafi, etc. But when
posed a question, ‘who are you?’, the reply should only be ‘I am a Muslim’.
Some may argue by quoting the hadith of our beloved Prophet from Sunan Abu
Dawood Hadith No. 4579. In this hadith the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have
said, “My community will be split up into seventy-three sects.”
This hadith reports that the prophet predicted the emergence of seventy-three
sects. He did not say that Muslims should be active in dividing themselves into
sects. The Glorious Qur’an commands us not to create sects. Those who follow
the teachings of the Qur’an and Sahih Hadith, and do not create sects are the
people who are on the true path.
According to Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171, the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have
said, “My Umma will be fragmented into seventy-three sects, and all of them will
be in Hell fire except one sect.” The companions asked Allah’s messenger
which group that would be. Where upon he replied, “It is the one to which I and
my companions belong.”
The Glorious Qur’an mentions in several verses, “Obey Allah and obey His
Messenger”. A true Muslim should only follow the Glorious Qur’an and the
Sahih Hadith. He can agree with the views of any scholar as long as they
conform to the teachings of the Qur’an and Sahih Hadith. If such views go
against the Word of Allah, or the Sunnah of His Prophet, then they carry no
weight, regardless of how learned the scholar might be.
If only all Muslims read the Qur’an with understanding and adhere to Sahih
Hadith, Inshallah most of these differences would be solved and we could be
one united Muslim Ummah.

Prohibition of Alcohol

Question:
Why is the consumption of alcohol prohibited in Islam?
Answer:
Alcohol has been the scourge of human society since time immemorial. It
continues to cost countless human lives, and causes terrible misery to millions
throughout the world. Alcohol is the root cause of several problems facing
society. The statistics of soaring crime rates, increasing instances of mental
illnesses and millions of broken homes throughout the world bear mute
testimony to the destructive power of alcohol.
1. Prohibition of alcohol in the Qur’an
The Glorious Qur’an prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verse:
“O ye who believe! Intoxicants and Gambling, (dedication of) stones,
and (divination by) arrows, are an Abomination – of Satan’s handiwork;
eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.” [Al-Qur’an 5:90]
2. Prohibition of alcohol in the Bible
The Bible prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verses:
a. “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is
deceived thereby is not wise.” [Proverbs 20:1]
b. “And be not drunk with wine.” [Ephesians 5:18]
3. Alcohol inhibits the inhibitory centre
The human beings possess an inhibitory centre in their brains. This inhibitory
centre prevents the person from doing things that he considers wrong. For
instance a person does not normally use abusive language while addressing his
parents or elders. If he has to answer the call of nature, his inhibitory centre will
prevent him from doing so in public. Therefore he uses the toilet.
When a person consumes alcohol, the inhibitory centre itself is inhibited. That
is precisely the reason that an inebriated person is often found to be indulging
in behaviour that is completely uncharacteristic of him. For instance the
intoxicated person is found to use abusive and foul language and does not
realize his mistake even if he is addressing his parents. Many even urinate in
their clothes. Neither do they talk nor walk properly. They even misbehave.
4. Cases of adultery, rape, incest and AIDS are found more among
alcoholics
According to National Crime Victimization Survey Bureau of Justice (U.S.
Department of Justice) in the year 1996 alone everyday on an average 2,713
rapes took place. The statistics tell us that the majority of the rapists, were
intoxicated while committing the crime. The same is true in cases of
molestation.
According to statistics, 8% of Americans commit incest i.e. one in every twelve
to thirteen persons in America is involved in incest. Almost all the cases of
incest are due to intoxication of one or both the persons involved.
One of the major factors associated with the spread of AIDS, the most dreaded
disease, is alcoholism.
5. Every alcoholic was initially a social drinker
Many may argue in favour of liquor by calling themselves ‘social drinkers’. They
claim that they only have one or two pegs and they have self-control and so
never get intoxicated. Investigations reveal that every alcoholic started as a
social drinker. Not a single alcoholic or drunkard initially starts drinking with the
intention of becoming an alcoholic or a drunkard. No social drinker can say that
I have been having alcohol for several years and that I have so much selfcontrol
that I have never been intoxicated even a single time.
6. If a person is intoxicated just once and commits something
shameful, it will remain with him for a lifetime.
Suppose a ‘social drinker’ loses his self-control just once. In a state of
intoxication he commits rape or incest. Even if the act is later regretted, a
normal human being is likely to carry the guilt throughout his life. Both the
perpetrator and the victim are irreparably and irreversibly damaged.
7. Alcohol is prohibited in the Hadith
The Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
a. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No.
3371.
“Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils.”
b. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No.
3392
“Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity, is prohibited even in a small
quantity.”
Thus there is no excuse for a nip or a tot.
c. Not only those who drink alcohol are cursed but also those who deal with
them directly or indirectly are cursed by Allah.
According to Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30
Hadith No. 3380.
It was reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“God’s curse falls on ten groups of people who deal with alcohol. The one who
distills it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one
who transports it, the one to who it has been brought, the one whom serves it,
the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it, the one who buys it and
the one who buys it for someone else.”
8. Diseases associated with alcoholism
There are several scientific reasons for the prohibition of consumption of
intoxicants i.e. alcohol. The maximum number of deaths in the world related to
any one particular cause is due to the consumption of alcohol. Millions of people
die every year only because of intake of alcohol. I need not go into the details
of all the ill-effects of alcohol since most of them are commonly known. Below
is a simple list of few of the alcohol related illnesses:
1. Cirrhosis of Liver is the most well known alcohol associated disease.
2. Others are Cancer of Oesophagus, Cancer of Head and Neck, Cancer of
Liver (Hepatoma), Cancer of Bowel, etc.
3. Oesophagitis, Gastritis, Pancreatitis and Hepatitis are linked with alcohol
consumption.
4. Cardiomyopathy, Hypertension, Coronary Artherosclerosis, Angina and
Heart Attacks are linked with heavy alcohol intakes.
5. Strokes, Apoplexy, Fits and different types of Paralysis are linked with
alcohol intake.
6. Peripheral Neuropathy, Cortical Atrophy, Cerebellar Atrophy are well-known
syndromes caused by alcohol consumption.
7. Wernicke – Korsakoff syndrome with amnesia of recent events,
confabulations and retainment of memory to old events with different types
of paralysis are mainly due to thiamine deficiency due to excessive alcohol
intake.
8. Beriberi and other deficiencies are not uncommon among alcoholics. Even
Pellagra occurs in alcoholics.
9. Delerium Tremens is a serious complication that may occur during recurrent
infection of alcoholics or post operatively. It also occurs during abstention as
a sign of withdrawal effect. It is quite serious and may cause death even if
treated in well equipped centres.
10. Numerous Endocrine Disorders have been associated with alcoholism
ranging from Myxodema to Hyperthyroidism and Florid Cushing Syndrome.
11. Hematological ill effects are long and variable. Folic acid deficiency,
however, is the most common manifestation of alcoholic abuse resulting in
Macrocytic Anemia. Zeive’s syndrome is a triad of Hemolytic Anemia,
Jaundice and Hyperlipaedemia that follows alcoholic binges.
12. Thrombocytopenia and other platelet abnormalities are not rare in
alcoholics.
13. The commonly used tablet metronidazole (flagyl) interacts badly with
alcohol.
14. Recurrent infection is very common among chronic alcoholics. The
resistance to disease and the immunological defense system are
compromised by alcohol intake.
15. Chest infections are notorious in alcoholics. Pneumonia, Lung Abcess,
Emphysema and Pulmonary Tuberculosis are all common in alcoholics.
16. During acute alcoholic intoxication, the drunk person usually vomits, the
cough reflexes which are protective are paralysed. The vomitus thus easily
pass to the lung causing Pneumonia or Lung Abscess. Occasionally it may
even cause suffocation and death.
17. The ill effects of alcohol consumption on women deserves special mention.
Females are more vulnerable to alcohol-related Cirrhosis than men. During
pregnancy alcohol consumption has a severe detrimental effect on the
foetus. Foetal Alcohol Syndrome is being recognised more and more in the
medical profession.
18. Skin diseases are also related to alcohol indulgence.
19. Eczema, Alopecia, Nail Dystrophy, Paronychia (infection around the nails)
and Angular Stomatitis (inflammation of the angle of the mouth) are
common diseases among alcoholics.
9. Alcoholism is a ‘disease’
Medical doctors have now turned liberal towards alcoholics and call alcoholism
a disease rather than an addiction.
The Islamic Research Foundation has published a pamphlet that says:
If alcohol is a disease, it is the only disease that:
- Is sold in bottles
- Is advertised in newspapers, magazines, on radio and television
- Has licensed outlets to spread it
- Produces revenue for the government
- Brings violent deaths on the highways
- Destroys family life and increases crime
- Has no germs or viral cause
ALCOHOLISM IS NOT A DISEASE – IT IS SATAN’S HANDIWORK
Allah (swt) in His Infinite Wisdom has warned us against this snare of Satan.
Islam is called the “Deen-ul-Fitrah” or the natural religion of Man. All its
injunctions are aimed at preserving the natural state of man. Alcohol is a
deviation from this natural state, for the individual as well as for society. It
degrades man to a level below that of the beasts he claims to be superior to.
Hence the consumption of alcohol is prohibited in Islam.

Question:
Why is the eating of pork forbidden in Islam?
Answer:
The fact that consumption of pork is prohibited in Islam is well known. The
following points explain various aspects of this prohibition:
1. Pork prohibited in Qur’an
The Qur’an prohibits the consumption of pork in no less than 4 different places.
It is prohibited in 2:173, 5:3, 6:145 and 16:115.
“Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine,
and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah.”
[Al-Qur’an 5:3]
The above verses of the Holy Qur’an are sufficient to satisfy a Muslim as to why
pork is forbidden.
2. Pork prohibited in the Bible
The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible
prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus
“And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth
not the cud; he is unclean to you”.
“Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch,
they are unclean to you.” [Leviticus 11:7-8]
Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy
“And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud,
it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their
dead carcass.” [Deuteronomy 14:8]
A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.
3. Consumption of pork causes several diseases
The other non-Muslims and atheists will agree only if convinced through reason,
logic and science. Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types
of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm,
hookworm, etc. One of the most dangerous is Taenia Solium, which is in lay
man’s terminology called tapeworm. It harbours in the intestine and is very long.
Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of
the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it
can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the
liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.
Another dangerous helminthes is Trichura Tichurasis.
A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die.
In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four
people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very
well. This indicates that the ova present in the pork do not die under normal
cooking temperature.
4. Pork has fat building material
Pork has very little muscle building material and contains excess of fat. This fat
gets deposited in the vessels and can cause hypertension and heart attack. It is
not surprising that over 50% of Americans suffer from hypertension.
5. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth
The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck,
faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In
the villages they don’t have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open
air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs.
Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very
clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are
kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are
filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbour’s
excreta.
6. Pig is the most shameless animal
The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only
animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people
consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives;
i.e. many say “you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife.” If you eat
pigs then you behave like pigs.

Keep the blessings and benefits alive

Almost invariably it happens a few days after the end of Ramadan. The letdown. Fasting is finished; the nightly prayers are over; the group gatherings to break the fast have vanished. We can eat, drink, and be merry again when the sun is shining. And that special feeling you have in your heart--the one that keeps you going despite your hunger and thirst--gradually fades away. The spiritual high evaporates, and all you are left with are the bad habits you tried to shed during Ramadan, but mysteriously rear their ugly heads once it is over.

THE MOST APPALLING SIGHT IS WATCHING THE JUMMAH SALAAH ON EID DAY HAVING A MOSQUE ONLY HALF-FULL AS SOME PEOPLE "FORGOT ABOUT JUMMAH" OR "WERE SLEEPING AS THEY WERE TIRED FROM STAYING AWAKE ALL NIGHT FOR EID SALAAH" (??!!)

Ramadan is supposed to increase your faith and God-consciousness: Believers! Fasting has been prescribed for you--as it was prescribed for those before you--so that you may be conscious of Allah. (The Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqara 2:183). The point is not to be an angel for Ramadan and a demon at other times. The lessons learned and spiritual benefits gained during that month are intended to carry over for the rest of the year until next Ramadan.

Yet frequently they do not. Is there anything we can do about it? Absolutely, and here are five ways we can try to keep the spirit of Ramadan alive and well throughout the rest of the year. 5 tips:

1. Keep up the good habits practiced during Ramadan.

More than just denying oneself food and drink, the fast of Ramadan is a complete body-and-soul fast. Although this should be the behavior of the believer at all times, when one is fasting, he or she should take special care not to harm anyone, curse anyone, or do anything wrong. In fact, the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions [while fasting], ALLAH (swt) is not in need of his leaving his food and drink." Well, once Ramadan is over, these good behavioral traits should continue.

Remove bad habits. For instance, if you took the opportunity of the month of Ramadan to try to curb talking about other people, why not continue to refrain from doing so after Ramadan is over? If you didn't go partying and dancing, why do so now?

We should continue to go to the mosque for congregational prayers. It is so amazing, yet sad and disappointing to see the mosque--which was packed just a few days earlier--stand almost completely empty during Isha, or night, prayers, after Ramadan. If we can go to the mosque each day during Ramadan, we can get there every day during the rest of the year.

Ramadan gives us the perfect opportunity to quit cigarettes, chewing tobacco, sheeshas, etc. and to quit any form of unhealthy food. Remember, our bodies are a gift given to us by ALLAH (swt). We should take care of our physical being as well. Every thing we do that harms our body is NOT PERMISSIBLE in Islam. Hence, let us not overeat, let us practice self-restraint in our daily dietary habits. Eat moderate, balanced portions at even intervals, exercise and live a healthy life.

2. Continue to fast throughout the year.

The fast of Ramadan is obligatory for every adult Muslim, but there are numerous other fasts that Muslims are encouraged to undertake throughout the year, and we should try to participate. For instance, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) encouraged Muslims to fast six days of the month of Shawwal, the month after Ramadan. The reward is equivalent to fasting the entire year. In a few months, the season of Hajj will begin, and those Muslims who do not perform the Hajj are encouraged to fast the day of Arafat, when all the pilgrims will be standing on that plain and begging ALLAH (swt) for forgiveness.

The Prophet (pbuh) used to fast every week of every month, and if one is able, he or she could follow this sunnah, or tradition of the Prophet (pbuh). The very ambitious could even fast in the tradition of the Prophet Dawood (pbuh): fasting every other day. If this is too much, perhaps we can fast one, two, or three days each month. Whatever the number, we should try to fast outside of Ramadan to help keep the spirit of the month alive in our daily lives.

3. Continue the nightly qiyam prayers.

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims gather together and perform the Isha'a, or night prayer, and then special devotional prayers, called Taraweeh, in congregation (together these are called, qiyam, extra devotional night prayers). It is such a wonderful time, and it is perhaps--after actually getting to eat and drink--the best part of Ramadan. We are all together in the mosque, and we get to hear the entire Qur'an recited if we go every night of Ramadan. Why not, at home, have your own "mini-Taraweeh>"? You can either read what you have already memorized, or you can read from the Qur'an itself. If you continue this throughout the year, it is quite possible to finish reading the entire Qur'an many times over. This is an excellent way to keep the feeling and spirit of Ramadan alive.

4. Don't forget about charity.

Ramadan is also the month of charity. It was said that the Prophet (pbuh), already the most generous of men, was even more generous during the month of Ramadan. Along with teaching the believer discipline and spiritual focus, the fast of Ramadan is a potent reminder that there are millions of people around the world who must forgo food and drink involuntarily, out of sheer poverty. As a result, Muslims are frequently motivated to give to the poor during Ramadan, and the reward for an act of charity--already substantial--is multiplied many times over in the month of Ramadan. Muslims often discharge their obligatory annual alms tax, the Zaka'ah, during this month.

Yet that does not mean we should be stingy and miserly throughout the rest of the year. We should continue to be generous even when it is not Ramadan, perhaps devoting a little bit of what we earn to help the poor. You could even open a donor-directed fund or a charitable gift fund at a brokerage firm and invest your donations so you could give more. If you want to be even more ambitious, you can start your own charitable endowment, an essential aspect of the classical Islamic tradition that has unfortunately gone by the wayside in modern times.

5. "I haven't seen you since last Ramadan..."

Another beautiful aspect of Ramadan is the frequent invitation to people's homes foriftar meals after sunset. Here, Muslims gather and break their fast together. Many times, it is an opportunity to see friends (and maybe even family) they do not normally get a chance to see during the rest of the year. Well, the same theme applies: if you can do it during Ramadan, you can do it at any other time as well. Why not keep up the contacts made during Ramadan throughout the rest of the year? Have monthly gatherings at each other's homes or at a favorite restaurant. Let it not be another year when you say to a friend, "Wow! I haven't seen you since last Ramadan!"

For Muslims, the month of Ramadan is the most wonderful time of the year. The benefits and beauties of this month are boundless, and sincere believers always feel a tinge of sadness when Ramadan is over. Yet we can keep the spirit of the month alive and well throughout the rest of the year. For that is the whole purpose of the fast, isn't it? So that you may be conscious of ALLAH, as The Holy Qur'an says. And remember, the month of Ramadan is over in 30 days, but ALLAH is there for us 24/7, 365, always :)

Laylat al-Qadr (Araba: لیلة القدر‎) (sau Shab-e-Qadr), Noaptea Iertarii, este una dintre cele mai importante aniversari pentru Islam din luna Ramadan. In araba "Qadr" inseamna DESTIN si reprezinta noaptea in care primele versete din Quran i-au fost revelate profetului Muhammed (saws).

Laylat Al-Qadr reprezinta noaptea in care Quranul i-a fost revelat profetului (saws). Quranul a fost revelat in intregime in noaptea Al-Qadr, si apoi verset cu verset de catre ingerul Gavriil profetului Muhammed (saws).

Surat Al-Qadr sau Sura "Hotararii Divine" este numita asa dupa versetul 1, pentru ca in aceasta noapte, Allah oranduieste toate lucrurile pamantului si ale celor care traiesc pe el pentru anul urmator. Este vorba de una dintre noptile impare din ultimele 10 ale lunii Ramadan, in care profetul Muhammed (saws) a avut prima revelatie cu privire la revelarea Coranului.

Indicele 2 din sura se refera la Arhanghelul Gavriil.

Care este noaptea Al-Qadr?

Exista diferite opinii intre scolari asupra determinarii cu exactitate a noptii Al-Qadr. Unii spun ca noaptea Al-Qadr este in a 21-a zi din Ramadan, altii spun ziua 23, sau ziua 25, ba mai mult, sunt scolari care sustin ca e in ziua 29. Altii spun ca noaptea Al-Qadr variaza de la an la an, dar intotdeauna este intr-o zi impara din ultimile 10 zile din Ramadan. Si totusi, majoritatea scolarilor opteaza pentru ziua 27 din luna Ramadan ca fiind noaptea Al-Qadr.

Ahmad a spus ca Ibn 'Umar a relatat ca profetul (saws) a spus: "Cel care doreste sa caute noaptea Al-Qadr o va gasi in ziua 27".

Ubayy Ibn K'ab, Allah sa fie multumit de el, a spus: "In numele lui Allah, este in luna Ramadan si stiu care noapte este. Este in noaptea zilei 27." [ Ubayy Ibn K’ab, may Allaah be pleased with him, said: “By Allaah, and there is no God but Him, it is during Ramadhaan – and He swore to that – and by Allaah, I know what night it is. It is the night of the 27^th. Its sign is that the sun rises in the morning white and without any rays”. This is related by Muslim, Abu Daawood, Ahmad and At-Tirmithi who called it saheeh. ]

Sunnah

Al-Bukhaari and Muslim record from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said: “Whoever prays during the night of qadr with faith and hoping for its reward will have all of his previous sins forgiven”.

As to the supplication during the night of qadr' ,Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said:"I asked the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, O Messenger of Allaah, if I know what night is the night of qadr, what should I say during it’? He, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said: “Say,O Allaah, You are pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.” This is related by Ahmed,Ibn Maajah, and At-Tirmithi, who called it saheeh.

O Allah! You are aware of my weakness to bear even a minor affliction of this world and its consequence and adversity affecting the denizen of this earth, although such afflictions are momentary, short-lived and transient

How then can I bear the retributions and the punishments of the Hereafter which are enormous and of intensive sufferings, of prolonged period and perpetual duration, and which shall never be alleviated for those who deserve the same as those retributions will be the result of Your wrath; and Your punishment which neither the heavens nor the earth can withstand and bear!

My Lord! How can I, a weak, insignificant, humble, poor and destitute creature of Yours be able to bear them?

O' my God! My Lord! My King! And Master! Which of the matters shall I complain to You and for which of them shall I bewail and weep?

Shall I bewail for the pains and pangs of the punishment and their intensity or for the length of sufferings and their duration?

Therefore (my Lord!) If You will subject me to the penalties (of hell) in company of Your enemies and cast me with those who merited my punishments and tear me apart from Your friends and those who will be near to You, then my God, my Lord and my Master, though I may patiently bear Your punishments, how can I calmly accept being kept away from You?

I reckon that though I may patiently endure the scorching fire of the hell, yet how can I resign myself to the denial of Your pity and clemency? How can I remain in the fire while I have hopes of Your forgiveness?

So, my Lord! I look earnestly towards You and towards You, my Lord!

I have stretched forth my hands therefore, by Your honor, respond to my supplication and let me attain my prayers and, by Your bounty, frustrate not my hopes and protect me from the evils of my enemies and O' My Lord! have mercy on me whose only asset is hope and whose only weapon is lamentation.

Ameen ... Ya Rabb ... Ameen ... Ameen ...

Ummul Momineen Sayyidina Aaisha (Radiyallahu anha)

reported that she asked

Allah's Messenger (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam),

"O Messenger of Allah!

(sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam),

If I knew which night is Laylat ul-Qadr,

what should I say during it?"

Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam)

advised her to recite:

"Allahumma innaka `afuwwun

tuh.ibbul `afwa

fa`fu `annee "

O Allah! You are forgiving,

and you love forgiveness. So forgive me.
