Raymond is expected to produce total rainfall accumulations of 3 to 5 inches across the southern portions of Baja California Sur with isolated maximum amounts of 10 inches. At 02:00 hr MST (09:00 hr UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Raymond was located about 805 km (500 mi) S of the southern tip of the Baja peninsula near latitude 15.7 North, longitude 110.6 West. Raymond jogged west-northwestward overnight, but it is expected to resume a motion toward the north-northwest near 15 km/h (9 mph).

The 2019 Baja 1000 will be a loop race of 1288 kilometer (800.5 miles) in the northern state of Mexico’s majestic Baja California peninsula. With a total time limit of 34 hours in the elapsed-time race, the motorcycle and quad classes will start at 03:00hr (PT) Friday 22nd November 2019 and the car, truck and UTV classes will follow with their start on at 10:30 hr (PT). While the fastest vehicles are expected to cover the course in approximately 16 hours, all vehicles will have 34 hours from the time each starts to become an official finisher.

Pre-race festivities include two days of contingency and the Manufacturer’s Midway (Wednesday, Nov. 20 and Thursday, Nov. 21) on Boulevard Costero adjacent to the Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center. Contingency will run each day from 09:00hr to 17:00hr and pre-race tech will be held from 09:00hr to 18:00hr each day. On Wednesday (Nov. 20), contingency will be held for all motorcycles, quads and UTV classes along with several car/truck classes.

On Thursday (Nov. 21), contingency will be held for the balance of the car and truck classes including the Trophy Truck, TT Legend, unlimited Class 1, Spec Trophy Truck and Class 10.

Memorable San Felipe 250 race course of 349.91 miles, the longest in the history of this popular “Spring Break” desert race. This year’s grueling race course will be another beauty to behold but a tough challenge to race on. It runs in a clockwise direction running over high-speed dry lake beds, through low-speed winding, rock-strewn, twisting canyons and trails, along quick-paced dirt roads and through three of Baja’s most infamous washes in Azufre, Matomi, and Coabuso.

It features three physical, full-stop checkpoints and 96 virtual checkpoints.

2018 Baja 1000 - The race organizer claims he has put together another memorable race course for the 51st anniversary, a loop race, with all of the unforgiving terrain that the northern state of the Baja California peninsula has to offer. The organizers race director has designed and finalized this year’s race course of 1298.35 kilometer (806.76 miles).

Start and finish in the center of Ensenada in front of the Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center, the course travels in a clockwise direction east to Ojos Negros before launching its weaving route around both the east and then the west side of the northern part of the peninsula.

Gordon edged Rob MacCachren to grab fastest qualifer position in Las Vegas for upcoming 50th annual Baja 1000 desert offroad race. The qualifying was held Tuesday night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Off-Road Track. The legendary race itself, starting in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico and finishing in La Paz, Baja California Sur, this year’s Baja 1000 will be held 13-18. Novmber.

The season-finale of the four-race 2017 so called SCORE World Desert Championship will feature a typically rugged 1,134.40-mile race course.

The qualifying course was three laps over the .6 mile LVMS Off-Road Track for 2.1 total miles. Gordon was quickest among the 29 trucks out of the 42 entered in the race that elected to participate in the optional qualifying event.
