Do less than stellar reviews affect box office performance? Sometimes, but with Transformers big money making week and Yash Raj's New York , critics seem to have been given the middle finger. The Los Angeles Times reviewed the film calling it, "part overwrought examination of the war on terror -- is a slice of the Big Apple that you should skip."

AFP reports the John Abrahams-Katrina Kaif starrer has grossed 350 million rupees (eight million dollars) in three days since opening worldwide on Friday.

Since the unexpected death of pop god Michael Jackson, tweets and tributes have been pouring in from all over the globe. Time Magazine put together a special tribute issue dedicated to Michael, chronicling the ups and downs of his 30 plus career.

Philanthropist, spiritual advisor and doctor, Deepak Chopra knew Michael and shared his thoughts on his sudden demise. Chopra reveals that Michael's ghost white appearance was due to leukoderma, a skin disease.

Chopra also talked about how Michael was surrounded by enablers who fed his prescription drug addiction, "totally enabled by these Hollywood mafia drug dealer doctors who have medical licenses and should be brought to justice. The same thing happened with Anna Nicole Smith, the same thing has happened over the years with and I'm not going to mince my words but Elizabeth Taylor. I know these guys, and they should be in jail."

These days it's pretty much expected to see artists cross over to other industries. Some have fashion ( come to think of it, many have fashion) a perfume line or shoes. But directing? With the exception of Fred Durst who directed a feature film, I think M.I.A is one of the only female music artists making that leap. The Sri Lankan wonder has posted a behind the scenes quickie on the making of Bang, a video for up and coming rapper, Rye Rye. Watch MIA swagga behind the camera and let us know what you think.
