Happy Monday! I'm a sucker for cut flowers, and have a gorgeous collection of red roses gracing the coffee table. But sometimes a pot of pretty blooms is a more affordable, longer lasting alternative. In honor of a wonderful week in Manhattan, this week's cocktail is the Pegu Club. Though most probably identify this cocktail with New York's famous Pegu Club cocktail lounge, it actually owes its origin to Rangoon (the Pegu is a river in Burma) where ex-pats (mostly military officials) imbibed this hot weather favorite.  Ingredients: 2 ounces London dry gin 3/4 ounce
