Luke 1:37 {FREE} Printable!

I think it is safe to say, I'm addicted to the chalkboard look these days! What about you? I also can't stop thinking about a special little boy over in Wisconsin that is battling cancer. He has had a very rough past couple of days. The verse the family is holding on to is Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible". Since I wanted to try out a chalkboard design of my own, I thought what better than to do that verse and have a constant reminder of God's power and also a reminder to be in prayer for Collin. I printed this on my home printer and put it on a clipboard. To hold it down at the bottom I added a little washi tape. Don't you love that stuff?

I was also shocked to see some of my prints have been downloaded thousands of times. If you notice, I don't even have close to 1,000 followers. I'm offering this free printable to you, but in return would ask that you follow along –>. Thank you!

Signs of Spring!

We're finally getting a glimmer of spring here! I know some of you have had spring weather for a few weeks now. Today I finally carried the rest of the Christmas decor (shhh) to the attic to put it away for another year. My blogging friend Becky finished her "mantle" the other day and asked when mine would be appearing in Blogland... I didn't want to make it tooooo Eastery since it will be over this weekend. However, the print I choose to frame can stay longer than just Easter. It is a truth we celebrate every day of the week~ Praise the Lord "He is Risen"! I cut a few egg shapes out of paint chips my mom brought me last week to add that Easter touch.

Since my living room has a green theme going on, and I didn't want to spend much money, I dug around the house for things I already had. If you remember my Valentine's mantle the apothecary jars were filled with red ribbons. The mossy clumps were from the Dollar Tree and the frog was a new purchase at one of my favorite local stores The Copper Frog.

Are you one of the ones getting snowed in today? It's a sunny 35º day here! Yesterday was a icky winter day though. I'm sure glad spring is on it's way.

It seems that since Pinterest has been developed and gained popularity, my prints from the archives are being dug up and pinned and people are requesting the links to download them. I just re-linked the Love printable from last year and since I can't just leave things be, I designed a chalkboard version as well.

I'll have to get it up on my walls quick if it's going to be there Valentine's day. I have done more decorating this year than ever before. I think Becky's awesome ~~mantle~~ piano inspired me! Here are a few photos from our house...

These are the Valentines I designed and Mia and Owen will be taking to school with them.

And Mr. Frog. I found this guy at a local toy store. It is called a Animail. You write on it and address the frog and stick it in the mail just like this. We stuck some stamps on the back of froggies neck and it's on it's way to some very special people :) If you are interested in the Animails I also found them on Amazon and have my eye on the Pig for someone else! (See him over on the right side? I couldn't figure out how to get him in here)

A {FREE} Joshua Printable

It feels like winter here in Iowa today. In true Iowa fashion we went from 50 degrees, bike riding, and playing in the park yesterday, to 7 frigid degrees today. A good day to stay in with a hot cup of tea and work on a printable to share.

I don't know your circumstances. You may be going through one of life's lows right now. Remember these words found in Joshua.... Be strong and courageous...The Lord your God will be with you!

Has it really been since Mother's day since the last post? Thank you for faithfully following along~

Things have been crazy around the Brandt household! 2 littles {6 yrs & 5 yrs} are in school this year and one little {17 mo.} is here with me at home.

{FREE} Airplane Scripture Art

Good Monday morning! It's been a typical Monday around here so far...I'm hoping things start moving a little faster and with a little less whining! We've recently done some home improvements and that included painting Owen's room. His room still had the old nursery colors on the walls. We added a closet and a bunk bed into his room and painted his walls a light gray color. Now I'm working on some art to hang. I found this airplane over at The Graphics Fairy. She has tons of great free clipart. I used Illustrator and re-drew the airplane and gave it and the clouds some pattern and color.

Yesterday I posted this print on my Facebook page and asked people to "like" it if they would like to see it as a free printable here! Well, it got quite a few likes now I'm offering it to you for your walls.

Thank you for following along with us...we've gained many new followers this year! Welcome!

Life has been crazy these past few weeks with Christmas parties, events, family and the everyday laundry etc. I haven't had uninterrupted time to sit down at the computer. Then again, when do I?? This will probably be the last print for 2011... there will be many more to come in the new year. Today's print is not a Christmas quote or verse, but a fitting verse for us at this time. There are so many uncertainties in life right now. If we keep this verse in mind at all times we can know we are trusting in the One who holds our breath in His hands.

While it is not a Christmas quote, it is done in Christmas colors. If you have a color scheme in mind you'd like to see, feel free to send me an email!

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom {11.9.11}

November 9th. This day has so many emotions. It was on this day 6 years ago I became a mom for the first time. My littlest buddy, Evan, was born at 5:19 p.m. weighing 2 pounds 9 ounces. He wasn't due for another 3 months so his early arrival was a surprise to us all. He was whisked away in a helicopter to the Children's Hospital, and the next few weeks are a blur. Tests, blood work, but just mostly waiting.... waiting for him to grow. But God had other plans for him. After 18 short days with us baby Evan went to live in his eternal home. I know I will see him again someday and I am thankful for the 3 other children God has blessed us with. Today's print is inspired by Evan, I pray that the memories will make us stronger.

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom {11.2.11}

Getting organized. Some of you are already there. I still need work in that department! I recently came across this post from the blog In Between Laundry. I loved her list printable. After using it for a week I decided I needed to add a few things to my list. I added a category for supper each night and a "we're all out of" category on the side and a section to record appointments for the week. I've decided to share it with you this week as a free printable. I have mine on a clipboard and after the week is done I 3-hole punch it and put it in a binder. I pick the six most important things I need to accomplish for the day and write them down. Some days my list goes something like this: 1) Shower, 2) Mia to school, 3) make lunch, 4) clean up, 5) make supper, 6) clean up. I'm a list person so having this in front of me helps to keep focused. Hopefully it will help you as well.

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom {10.26.11}

A few weeks ago our family went on a walk at Pikes Peak which is practically in our backyard. We happen to live in a very beautiful corner of Iowa! When you picture Iowa I'm sure you don't think of hills, rivers, and trees. Believe it or not we do have more than corn and pigs... I took a few photos that Sunday afternoon and used one to create this weeks print. There are 2 versions of the quote by Mary Engelbreit... save it to your desktop or print it out for a good reminder.

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom {10.19.11}

It seems as if Wednesday rolls around even faster these days! Here are 2 motivational prints for you. My wonderful mother-in-law has been sending me some sayings and we've turned them into prints for you. I realize by now your walls might be full of words. Not every print belongs on your wall! Pick the ones that you love and frame them. These are 5x7. I've printed them and put then in those cheap clear plastic $1 picture holders you can buy at Dollar Tree. I have it sitting on my kitchen counter, that way when next week rolls around you can easily replace it with new motivational words to help you through the week :)

(I left off the words: mice, box elders, and corn dust although they would all be appropriate I just didn't think they quite fit). I am allergic to cats and prefer dogs any day, so I'm not sure how a cat ended up on this print, but I think he's pretty cute!

Today, our free print is another leaf in the fall series. While designing it I thought the leaf was more different but after putting the two together in the wall grouping they look quite similar! Leaves are like snowflakes...each one is different. That's amazing to me. I would run out of ideas on how to make each one unique and different!

What we're up to....

This week my computer was in the shop for a "new brain"...it was on the verge of a melt-down... not good for a graphic designer. It's all fixed up now! Yay! This weekend is the big birthday bash around here, so we are busy getting this place ready. There won't be a print this week. Between flip flops and space missions and picking corn we're BUSY!

The leaves are starting to turn colors and the corn fields are drying up.... Signs that Fall is just around the corner. Actually I think it officially starts on Friday! Cooler temperatures, warm blankets and hot chili ahhh. I am not ready for what comes after fall but for now we will "rejoice in the day the Lord has made."
