I have finished setting up the store for Designing Nicky Ree's Annual Sale 2009. Tropical Orchid is now open for group members.

Group Members will enjoy more discounts and the sim will be open only to Group Members from the 6th November till 7th November 1 PM SLT.

After that I will close the sim once again to adjust the vendors and discounts again for the public sale.
The store will open again a few hours later on the 7th November at 5 PM SLT.

The Sale will end on the 10th November 2007 at 1 pm SLT

Just a short notice, my main store in Tropical Orchid will be closed today.

Sale for Group Members Only
I am preparing for a big sale for my group members - members will enjoy lots of items at 50% discount and there will be quite a few new items hidden in the store for a treasure hunt, items sold for 0L.

I will be opening my store again on the 6th November till 7 November 1 pm PST (SLT) to my group members only.

Sale for the public
Starts on the 7th Nov 2009 at 5pm SLT till 10th Nov 2009 1pm SLT

I will close the store again on the 7th at 1 pm SLT to update some items and will open it to the public a few hours after that.

I have been planning to send out at least one item each month as a gift for members who have my store landmark in their picks.

Night Witch Set for Halloween By Nicky Ree

Hi :)

I have just released my new design called "Night Witch" in black. I updated the web design I had done for an older design called Spider Witch and re-drew the bodice and pants for Night Witch. Night Witch comes with a gown style with matching long cloak. You can also wear the set as a sexy bodysuit. Now available only in black but I will be adding more colours to range soon.

Also recently released is "Bridal Melissa Gown for Halloween" this gown has a optional blood splattered stain on jacket layer. Originally created in 2006 but never released as I had forgotten I had it in my inventory. So Bridal Melissa is now released in 2009.

Maiden Melissa also created in 2006, I gave it away as a gift but never released for sale. ( I sure need to sort my inventory ) Now in 2009 I have finally packaged it and Maiden Melissa is now set for sale at 50L.

I have just released 10 new designs today.

I have not made all the colours available just yet. But I do have "Dione" and "Lovely Ria" all done up in several lovely colours, displayed on each side of the red catwalk runway in my main store in Tropical Orchid.

The other designs are displayed on the red catwalk runway itself. I will be adding more colours to that range soon.

New Goya Svelte Gown by Nicky Ree

This is the 3rd of my series inspired by the theme Water, Sea and Ocean.
The fabric is a montage made from drawings I did of corals with pearls.
The cut and style is a classic line with soft lace like textures for the veil and skirt prims.

A classic cut for the top and sleek lines for the bodice wraps the soft fabric around you.

Goya comes in several colours and is available in my main store in Tropical Orchid.

Beautiful Galatea Collection by Nicky Ree

GALATEIA was one of the Nereides, fifty goddess-nymphs of the sea. Her name means either "the goddess of calm seas" from galênê and theia or "milky-white" from galaktos. Galateia frequented the coast of Sicily where she attracted the attention of the Kyklops (Cyclops) Polyphemos. The giant wooed her with tunes from his rustic pipes, and offerings of cheese, milk, and wild fruit. The nymph, however, spurned his advances and consorted instead with a handsome Sicillian youth named Akis. When Polyphemos learned of this, he fell into a jealous rage and crushed the boy beneath a rock. Galateia was grief-stricken and transformed Akis into a stream.
Some say, Galateia was the mother by Polyphemos of Galatos, the eponymous king of Galatia in Asia Minor.

She was depicted in ancient art as a beautiful woman riding side-saddle on the back of a sea monster or fish-tailed god.

The above information was taken from the web in my search for a name for my new design.

Galatea is the 2nd design from the series inspired by the Water, Sea and Ocean Themed Collection.

I got inspired by the beautiful rich colours of marine life in the coral reefs and the beauty found in the colourful life in the oceans.

I drew the corals, shells, pearls and other sea and ocean graphic motifs used in the creation of the fabric in photoshop and from there formed my design idea for the new outfits.

The textures for "Galatea Collection" is 100% orginal hand drawn by Designing Nicky Ree. Available in several style sets and colours in my main store in Tropical Orchid

I have been busy working on several design projects and playing sims3! I know, I know I should stop and concentrate on designing, but hey I played Sims way before I discovered SL. While in between these busy period, I took a short break to finish up a simple but cute casual set called "Avana"

I know i have been very quiet lately in the group, there are several reasons for this. My mom come over to visit for 7 weeks and I wanted to spend more time with her, then I was away on vacation for 2 weeks. I am back home now, busy finishing up my new collection which I hope to start releasing in stages very soon.

Meanwhile while I work on the finishing touches on my new collection, I am releasing my older design called Satin Shine Floral Collection at a very special price of 50L to my group members.

Some of you may recall my older design called "Mooie Vogel" where I played with feathers and creating 2 lovely cocktail party dresses.

This year, I have revived those feather textures and updated them with a new design. This new Cabaret Star Collection gives you loads of options for styles, from a sexy cabaret outfit with glamourous tail feathers complete with matching feathered gloves and stockings.

But if you prefer a more covered up look, there is also options for an elegant long gown complete with matching hat or a sexy salsa style dress. All this different looks available in the set.

New Cecilia Collection By Nicky Ree

Hi :)

This new gown, dress and swimwear collection uses the colourful patterns of paint splashes as a motif for the fabric design.

The style is elegant simplicity with a touch of glamour for that sunny day by the beach or pool or that party that you just need to go to.

I got the inspiration from my memory of a photo I had of my mom, taken when she was in her early twenties, she was wearing such a dress with a full circular skirt with cute little puff sleeves with matching hat and shoes.

My mom's name is Cecilia, hence why I called this collection "Cecilia"

Cecilia is available for purchase in 2 seperate collection, (1) Cecilia Beach Wear Sets and (2) Cecilia Gown & Dress Sets.

Both Cecilia collections comes in 8 assorted colours in my main store in Tropical Orchid. It is displayed in front on the red carpet runway stage.

Dina Gown and Beach Wear Collection is now available to the public, it is displayed in my main store in Tropical Orchid on the red carpeted runway stage near the entrance.

Dina set uses the simple elegant wave lines created and drawn in photoshop to create the fabric pattern for a sophisticated yet sexy look for both evening and a casual day at the beach. The folds, highlights, creases for the outfits and fabric are all original drawn artwork created in photoshop by Nicky Ree, no photo source were used.

Pre-release sold at a discount now available for Nicky Ree's Fashion Group Members for a limited period.
Group discount period is from 27th May till 30th May at 12 noon SLT.
