What a drag ?!!! Never expected I would say this for an Arsenal game. Wenger made 8 changes to the squad that took on the Mancs and it wasn't pretty. With just one effort on target, it hardly looked like it was Arsenal. Just wondering what inspired Wenger to go Rafa's way and i admit he wasn't as good as Rafa gets it on to be .. atleast we did get out with 1 point !! I hope I never see such a game from Arsenal again, without any co-ordination, without any clarity or vision, without any moves at all !! What was Gilberto doing in there anyways ?! No wonder Flamster's playin week in week out. I hope that doesn't change.

I guess I ain't even motivated to write more than this. I wonder if its worth downloading the game and making the highlights of such an effort. I think I will pass this time. Atleast we made it to the knockout stage of champions league.

Why do the Mancs whine so much ???

Yeah I'm talking about PurpleNose Fergie and his biatch, Hargreaves (or should I say Whoregreaves ?). Why can't they respectfully get on with life after not being able to pull off an "easy" expected win against the Gunners. Why try downplay the decent performance that the young Gunners put up in fighting back into the tie ? Couldn't they muster up enough dignity and get on with it?! Couldn't they take a clue from Liverpool's behavior after the 1-1 draw at Anfield? That was dignified. It was a pleasure to listen to both sides lavishing praise on the opponents, with the often-hyped-hypocrite Gerrard getting in the act as well.

First, Fergie goes on about Webb favoring Arsenal. Was he even watching the same game ? Foul on Brown that led to an Arsenal goal?? Oh Puhleese ... Van der Saar even took a goal kick after that incident. Oh wait .. Tellytubbie wasnt even watching the same game, so how can we expect him to notice that? Pointless, innit? And as far as Webb being biased towards Gunners, any referee in Europe would have given a penalty for the Whoregreaves' pulling of Hleb's jersey in the box. Any other referee would have given a yellow to Anderson for that ridiculous reaction to a not so bad a challenge from Fabregas and later demanding a yellow card in the referee's face. After the 2nd Arsenal goal, Van der Sar and Rio Ferdinand argued with Webb insisting that the ball din't cross the line. From what i saw, Van der Sar was inches away from hitting the back of the net!! What was that about Fergie?? Ahh and the abuse from the fans .. was it his first day as the manager?? and blaming it on the gooners is hardly in good light especially after goading from a Manc security staffer when Ronaldildo scored. Fergie's getting senile by the day and at the moment seems more paranoid that George W. Bush ever was!

And this wasn't it! Fergie had to comment on the celebrations in the Arsenal dressing room. Ferguson says they got a psychological boost from Arsenal's celebrations.

"At the end of the Arsenal game, our players were in the dressing room feeling absolutely sick," he told Manchester United Radio." That's twice in two years they've turned the game around and got something in the last minute, so we were definitely disappointed to come away with a draw. Meanwhile, their dressing room was elated. They were celebrating as if they'd won the World Cup, which I found very interesting. Our players took something out of that, psychologically." "I think we're a better team than Arsenal now. They're a young team and they're going to be a very good team - there's no question of that - but we went there when they were on top form and they hardly managed a shot on goal. There were definitely a lot of positives for us."

Coming into the game, Arsenal were not considered the favorites. It was considered the biggest test the young gunners would face after being seemingly written off even from finishing in top 4 following Henry's departure. The resilient gunners deserved to celebrate after coming back twice at home against a strong opposition. I wonder what could the mancs take something out of it?? They certainly didn't get the takeout pizza this year .. And about shots on goal, don't even get me started. The first shot on goal was Gallas' header from Cesc's free kick. If we look at the statistics, Arsenal had more possession, More number of shots on goal and more shots on target, lesser fouls and lesser bookings as compared to the mancs.. I bet Fergie flunked his statistics course back in high school or wait a minute .. did he even to go school?? That's a different story altogether now.

Now, coming to the c*nt called Hargreaves. Let's see what he had to say. . .

"Arsenal kept the ball and had a lot of possession, but they were never really threatening. Football is about scoring goals and winning games," said Hargreaves. "I do not think they had a clear-cut chance created in the first half, apart from the header by Gallas, and that was a set piece."

"Defensively, we did a good job and tried to control their so-called beautiful football.They keep the ball and try to play that way, but when a team is as good defensively as ours, you can keep them at bay because we played very tight together. You do not get to the top by conceding a lot of goals, but it is difficult when there is so much offensive power on the pitch."

"When you win the ball back against a team like Arsenal, who take a lot of risks going forwards, it is vital that you attack. We have a lot of quality going forwards to catch them. Both of our goals were from really beautiful pieces of play and theirs were a bit more scrappy."

Is he high on moonshine?? Beautiful pieces?? One was an own goal and the second one was a defensive mistake that led to a goal. Beautiful?? I am willing to start a fund for raising money so that we can buy an Oxford's pocket dictionary for him. Hopefully he can use that when being interviewed to avoid goofing up saying words whose meaning he doesn't clearly get! This came when Hargreaves hardly put a forward pass in the game. A team as good defensively as their ?? At times they had 3 people covering 1 gunner .. is this their great defense?? (I still remember how 3 players including Whoregreaves were on Hleb trying to recover the ball!) This and then there are mancs who thought it was Arsenal who put all their men behind the ball in order to stifle their creative beautiful passing moves!! Well everyone saw who put more men behind the ball and who tried to break up passes by fouling and acting!! Talking about acting, I guess Fergie can establish an acting academy after he retires from leading the wankers .. He's taught some pretty nifty moves to Rooney, Ronaldo, Evra and now Anderson is quickly learning the trade !! What a rollover .. He should be nominated for the Oscars along with Denzel or Russell Crowe .. He would certainly beat them if it were not the abrupt end to theatrics the same instant he saw the referee give a yellow to Cesc.

And to define Owen's class (and he's not even the better of the two Owen's on the English team!!), he had to denigrate his old team now. He claims that Bayern Munich aren't near Mancs as far as class goes!! This to be said about a club wher he spent half his life since starting to play when he was a kid!! I guess you could stop it already Owen. I bet Fergie's balls are soft and fluffy again after all this sucking up from you!!

Newas, it would be incomplete to finish this rant without the photograph of the soon-to-be-legend-gooner Finger Woman (as the press called her out)!! You're an inspiration to us all .. Standing up against the bullshite thats plaguing English football.

What a finish !! What a last minute .. Almost gave up when the "beautiful" dildo scored from a horrendous error in the defence, and then comes Willie the saviour. Another easy win for the young gunners. Sheffield United didn't even have more than 4-5 attacks, thats how dominant the youngsters were under the guidance of Gilberto Silva. It was surely surprising to see Fabianski getting the captain's armband over Gilberto.

Young Gunners get another chance to show off their impressive skills as they take on Sheffield United in the Carling Cup. Arsene Wenger has announced that he intends to follow his policy of giving reserve players and youngsters some first team action. Amidst reports of Gilberto refusing to play as Centre back, Arsene Wenger reiterated that they haven't had any rifts and that Gilberto has never made such a statement. Wenger expects Gilberto to be in for the game tomorrow and might be starting in central defence with Alexander Song, replacing the injured Phillipe Senderos. Armand Traore looks all set to miss the game while being away on international duty. Justin Hoyte or Kieran Gibbs might take his position up. After the game, I was discussing the game with a mate and up came the topic of Mistah Steven Gerrard .. We ended up discussing the hype around Gerrard and him being seen as the most honest and forthright bloke on the english team who would pull them out from the depths of misery to lead them on to a world cup victory. Then came the talk about Liverpool having the referee on their side most of the times and Gerrard's statements in the press lately about him never thinking of diving (simulation if you insist) or letting others on his team get away with.. (The best part was Gerrard getting Clattenburg to change the yellow card Hibbert was about to get to Red last week)My mate sent me a link to a video which i thought was quite interesting alrite [yea me mate's a manc wank but thats something to fight about on next saturday ;)] Also, posted is one more video of Gerrard's Man of the Match performance against Estonia .. Not Just overly hypocritical but over hyped as well .. Personally, I cannot wait to see Eduardo score against England and Russia win their two ties in the Euro qualifiers .. Game over for Messiah Gerrard ..

What a game !!! Going away to Anfield and almost coming off with 3 points .. the lads have got some steel in em .. and i think everyone knows it for now .. Starting badly with a free kick given away in a bad position, it always looked dangerous. Unfortunately, the wall caved in and through went the ball .. Brilliance from Gerrard was nothing more than a lucky goal due to a mistake by the Arsenal wall (I think it was Hleb .. ain't too sure). From then, it was all Arsenal in terms of possession but no end product .. Adebayor culprit many a times with too heavy a touch for the final pass. He drew one good save from the charging Reina inside the box. Carragher cleared one off the line when Rosicky lobbed one after beating Reina near the box. It seemed it was gonna come to a frustrating end. Eboue hit a blinder which somehow hit the post and went back straight to Fabregas who could just moon the ball over the bar. Crouch forced a good save from Almunia at full stretch and tipped one over the bar from a Gerrard shot (who somehow seemed like coming in the game after being on the sidelines for the entire duration). Carragher then seemingly tugged Fabregas' jersey in the box to bring him down during a corner. The ref however, choosing to side again with Liverpool, (he branded just a yellow to Mascherano earlier for a two footed lunge on Sagna which he jumped in .. i think it would be a red had it not been liverfool) Then came the moment. Hleb had the ball and Adebayor and Bendtner in front of him. One after another, Adebayor and Bendtner went into offside positions and it seemed tight with 3 players converging on Hleb. But Alexander the Great saw a darting run by Cesc from behind, layed the ball in his path and all Fabregas had to do was poke it in besides Reina for the equalizer. Suddenly Reina the invincible was not so invincible after all. Another Fabregas shot parried off the bar and fell to Bendtner. Bendtner (who surely looked surprised) put it over the bar. At the other end, Gallas produced a wonderful block to a Gerrard shot along the near post, showing the signs of regaining that old touch again .. It finished 1-1 with Arsenal clearly having the upper hand throughout the game. Had liverfool not played with 12 men (actually 11 as Gerrard was out of the game seemingly out the entire time), we would have easily won it 3-1 ..

Anyways, Go Gunners .. MAncs next ..

Squad Update: Van Persie, Senderos Out / Gallas, Lehmann, Rosicky, Eduardo In

Robin van Persie will be out for a month after injuring his knee playing for Holland on Wednesday. He limped off against Slovenia after he fell awkwardly and appeared to badly twist his knee. He will miss a number of key fixtures as the Champions League restarts next week and Arsenal face Liverpool and Manchester United back to back after the Bolton match.

"We will know later how bad it is but the early signs are he will not be able to perform for us the next four weeks. It is a big blow. I hope he will be back soon and we'll do the maximum to get him back," Arsene Wenger said while speaking to Arsenal.com.

Meanwhile, defender Philippe Senderos faces two weeks on the sidelines after picking up a back injury playing in Switzerland's midweek friendly against the USA. Adebayor faces a fitness test as well before the game against Bolton.

On the brighter side, William Gallas, Jens Lehmann and Tomas Rosicky have been declared fit for Saturday's home Premier League match against Bolton. Eduardo is to be back in the squad after he faced Israel on the weekend. He was out earlier with a knock to the knee.

What started as a game that would go atleast 4-0 to Arsenal ended in a thriller with Arsenal edging out Sunderland 3-2. And it's not because of the fact that Sunderland were fantastic .. They were good but they were let into the game by some lax plays and bad play marking by the defence. Up by 2 goals in 14 minutes (courtesy a cannon ball of a free kick by Persie and a trickled finish by Senderos) and having a 3rd goal wrongfully disallowed by the assistant referee, it seemed that it was going to be a drubbing similar to what Derby had experienced a couple of weeks ago. But then all of a sudden, Sunderland pulled back one via a Wallace goal and they started to get back into the game with a decent amount of possesion ... We had some half chances and could have certainly done better at times. The start of second half and we go down to a powerful Jones header . . . but this the fact is that there was no one covering the flanks when the Sunderland player (i forgot his name .. maybe miller) put in the cross .. and Jens Lehmann would have a better chance to come back now as it was partly Almunia's fault as he failed to position himself properly. A close free kick by Cesc that sailed over the bar and a thunderstrike by Toure from atleast 35 yards outside the box that hit the post meant that we were frustrated yet again. Walcott making a mess of a Hleb cross at the far post made it seem like it was yet another day from last season. It seemed like we were having to be content with a draw when van Persie made it 3-2, from a neat layoff by Walcott, and we rightfully carved out a win that we had presented them on a platter. It was all helter skelter when Stokes produced a fine save from Almunia and Jones going close to scoring. McShane was red carded straight away in the 90th minute for a foul on Hleb(I missed the incident completely only to find out when i returned) and Walcott hit the post in extra time as we squeezed in a win. Credit to Sunderland though as they din't get bottled up after we went 2-0 and kept on pressing for goals with a lone striker up front.

It was such a relief to see us win and go back to the top with a game in hand against the mancs. An internationals week ahead means its a couple of weeks before we face Bolton. I will try put up the highlights as soon as I can. Till then, Laters...

Btw .. Where did Sagna lose all his hair ?? I thought we had started Eboue at right back before I realised it was Sagna minus the golden dreadlocks :)

I had been gone a while and I come back to see a shocker of a headline .. Not that its bad .. its just unexpected .. Stan Kroenke has been invited to be a part of the Arsenal board in order to stall a hostile takeover from the fatbastard .. Well thats the case if you believe the Sunday Telegraph .. This was a development out of the meeting with Kroenke on Wednesday. This has been a complete turn around from the attitude that the board had from the moment Kroenke had bought shares from iTV .. but this comes around when Kroenke has become an important player in the tussle for power between the Arsenal board and the Fat Bastard ... I think its a good move and better late than never .. lets just wait up for more on this news .. till then, just take it with a pinch of salt ..

Carlos Vela wants to tread the same way that Cesc did and aims to become a star at the Emirates stadium. The 18 year old, who is on loan at Osasuna, is aiming to develop and to become a regular player for The Gunners, but believes he could be offered the chance to remain in Spain for a longer spell. Vela interviewed with SetantaSports (yea the yellow boys)...

“My objective is to be a world icon like Cesc Fabregas, to learn thanks to Arsene Wenger, and to impose myself at Emirates Stadium. We have talked with Arsene Wenger, our relationship is good. I don’t know if he wants to watch me play in La Liga and then make me return to Arsenal, just ask him."

When asked if he planned to extend his stay in Spain rather than returning to Arsenal, he responded: "I live day by day. Today I am just focused on doing well for Osasuna. I want to do well in order to benefit from the chance I am given to play in La Liga. I don’t know if I am going to stay for more than one season. I am learning English and I think that I can speak it right now.”

Theo Walcott has revealed the secret behind Arsenal's stunning start to the season - bonding over dinner: "We've had a meals with all the players, wives and girlfriends. We never did that last season but it shows how good team spirit is."

In squad news, Jens Lehmann and William Gallas are likely to be back in full training by the time Arsenal kick off against Sunderland on Sunday however neither are expected to feature. Lehmann returned to the training field on Thursday morning and Gallas is expected to follow suit the following day. Likewise, Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) and Alex Song (calf) are no longer injured but not yet fit. The five players who were doubtful for the midweek game at Steaua came through unscathed. Therefore, the only player in need of the physio team is Eduardo (ankle).

“Lehmann came back into full training today,” Arsène Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on Thursday afternoon. "Gallas should be in full training tomorrow. Rosicky and Song as well. Physically they are all better. But all of them will be short to be considered for Sunday. The only one completely out though is Eduardo."

Stand Kroenke met up with the board of directors on Wednesday when he flew into London and descended upon the Emirates stadium for the first time. The board and the fat bastard are in a tussle over who controls Arsenal in the long run and Kroenke with his 12.2 % being in the thick of the action. Stan Kroenke is understood to have informed the Arsenal board during a meeting in London that he will abide by the terms of its agreement preventing major share sales.

The US billionaire was at the Emirates Stadium between 10am and 3.30pm on Wednesday and was introduced to Arsenal's directors before conducting a tour of the ground and the Highbury Square property development. High on the agenda were talks about the commercial partnership between the club and Kroenke's Colorado Rapids. Although Kroenke is not believed to be willing to commit as a signatory to the agreement - which the director- shareholders hope to extend for 12 months beyond its expiry in April - it is understood he has informed them that he intends to remain a shareholder for at least that long. Arsenal yesterday described the meeting as "positive".

All i can say is that the battle's getting tense out there, with what looks like a 3 way battle (sort of) for deciding whom shall control the Arsenal. All i want is Fat Bastard not having total control of the club. Rest everything is fine by me ..
