Stuck at login screen after boot

Hi,

It's been a few weeks so I might not have all the steps recall-able. I have a 2013 era MacBook Pro (the thick one) i7. Been running OCLP for a while now. Wanted to update to Sequoia. Update seemed to go fine but now it's stuck at the login screen. Mouse doesn't move, no response. Tried Safe Mode, no luck. It won't do that. If I hold down the Shift key during reboot and it will just get about half way and restart. Tried Shift-Return, didn't get anywhere. Tried external keyboard and mouse. No luck.

I suspect it needs the OCLP root modifications done but I can't get it to boot to do that.

Any idea on how to get past this? thanks.

I FOUND A DYLD SHARED CACHE COMPILED FOR X86 IN MACOS 27

So I was digging through the macOS 27 IPSW for Apple Silicon, and I literally found a dyld shared cache for Intel and ARM.

I ran it in terminal to verify it's real, and I found various other files compiled as universal binaries (including safari)

macOS Golden Gate is officially the first version to be never supported by OCLP or ANY Intel Mac in existence. The end of a long run. As Cook steps down, so does hackintosh and OCLP. Goodbye!

Windows + OCLP Ventura Dualboot help

I got a 27 inch 2014 iMac, it has a 120gb ssd and a 1tb ssd, i have OCLP Ventura on the 1tb ssd and ive recently installed Windows on the 120gb ssd. After that, i can no longer pick Ventura, in boot picker i see "Windows" with the OCLP logo, and i can only access Ventura if i plug in the Ventura installer USB. NVRAM reset/Rebuilding OCLP does not work, can anyone help?

iMac 2011 Bluetooth mouse connection issue after OCLP

I have issues connecting my 2011 edition iMac Bluetooth mouse after my Ventura OCLP install. Just after the install of OS Ventura on my mid 2011 iMac has finished ‘Bluetooth Setup Assistant’ has popped up in the middle of the Ventura wallpaper. For the last 30 minutes it’s been trying unsuccessfully to connect my 2011 Bluetooth mouse. I’ve waited for over half an hour and even put the mouse into discoverable mode but still no joy. Any suggestions to fix this, please? It’s quite possible that it will have the same issue when it next looks for my 2011 iMac Bluetooth keyboard..

27' L2013 iMac OCLP version, to find

Yesterday when I triggered the on/off button; I received a start-up error note.

I tried several things:

° Screamed at it, performed like Batman,

° Drank multiple espressos, 2 wodka rb:

° Then I started threatening to throw him out of the window at night,

° Ending with some multiple keyboard combos..

And ended up with the fresh installation of macOS X

Now I tried updating the system with the help of OCLP, but I can't find the right version for this OS.

After installation OCLP, I keep getting the error:

u have os x 10.9.5, program needs 10.10 or higher.

How's Sequoia looking on 21.5" iMac 2011?

Just last year I've installed Monterey on my machine (20GB and 1T SSD) bc I needed to run Google Drive from it, and now I'm getting notifications that it will stop working on Monterey, so I need to update it. I will most likely install Sequoia on my 2017 Macbook Air, and would love to have the same system on the iMac. Is it too much of a stretch? Should I make a clean install or update? Would you recommend installing Ventura instead? I will have to run no heavy graphics but Photoshop at least. Thanks!

For those 2012 and older debating jumping to the latest, after messing with Sonoma and sequoia for weeks with constant frustration, reboots, patching etc. ventura has been all rock and roll and no lag. Ventura w oclp and keep your sanity.

For a Mid-2010 MacBook, all I need is a USB Hub for Ventura to work? Would this just be for the install or perpetually? Would I be better off downgrading to Monterey?

I tried installing Ventura on a mid-2010 MacBook and ran into some flashing outlines of Magic Mouse and I assume a keyboard or track pad? After some research online, this seems to be the USB 1.0 issue that everyone else is having. The solution of a USB Hub seems simple and easy enough. However, after I install Ventura (theoretically), would I be able to go back to using the built-in track pad and keyboard? Or would I need to continue using the USB Hub with attached mouse and keyboard after the OS upgrade? If the latter, I'll just give Monterey a try

Sequoia vs USB ports

Hey guys! I've been using Sequioa on my late 2013 MBPro for a few months, and it is great.

I am going to open the MB to swap termal paste and a speaker, and I know my usb's have som trouble working. like the iPhone connected keeps asking to trust, non stop. could that be a software problem? I was just going to reconnect stuff around and clean, but my hopes are down on solving this one.

Macbook Pro 13 (9.2) issues with using external (USB) SSD

Hey yall,

I've been trying to update my fiancee's old Macbook pro 13 (mid 2012) for me to update some software builds via xcode. It initially ran incredibly slow even after updating the HDD to Ventura via Opencore. I've upgraded RAM to 16gb, wiped anything on there etc and it still runs incredibly slow.

I'm now trying to use an SSD in hopes that it will increase its speed as I suspect its the HDD.

I've been able to get what I needed installed on the SSD while able to lean back on the HDD, but when I go to boot up and select the SSD for MacOS Install, it'll take hours until it reaches the very end (black screen with Apple logo) and it then says "it has less than a minute left" but stays there forever. Eventually (12hrs or so later) it gave me an error "an error occured preparing the software update", however its never getting past that point.

Has anyone ran into this?
