Teri Hatcher “scored big points” with her daughter by introducing her to Justin Bieber. The Desperate Housewives actress’ made 12-year-old Emerson’s day when she set up a photo with the teen pop superstar at the Digital Content Newfront Conference launch of her new website GetHatched in New York on Wednesday.

““I got her a chance to get a picture with Justin Bieber,” Terri told People magazine. “That was a highlight, and I scored some big points with her.” Teri always makes time for her daughter, but admits she sometimes finds it tough to balance her work with her family life.

“There are times when I really need to separate those things — just be the worker or just be the mom,” she said. “Too often, I think, women try to do everything at the same time. I have friends that are technically driving their kids to school but also looking at their BlackBerry and trying to deal with office messages.

“The stress on the kids and yourself is a disservice to us, and I think we are better off compartmentalizing. It’s hard, but it does work for me.”

Actress Eva Longoria Parker has been banned by producers of her hit show Desperate Housewives from getting pregnant this year.

The actress is longing to raise kids with her basketball star husband Tony Parker, but TV bosses have asked her to postpone baby plans, following her co-star Marcia Cross’ pregnancy in 2006, Contactmusic reported.

“Tony and I are working on expanding our family. But the producer has forbidden me from getting pregnant this year. Seriously! Marcia’s pregnancy came as a big surprise and posed a big problem for the script writers. Even so, I love being a real housewife. I cook, I clean up, I do Tony’s washing,” Longoria said.

The actress admits her busy work schedule may also delay plans of motherhood. “I work three to four days a week (in Los Angeles) and then fly to Texas to spend a long weekend with Tony. This means we can only have sex on the weekends,” Longoria said.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker is countersuing her former restaurant partners.

The 35-year-old actress was recently sued by two of her ex-partners at her Beso Las Vegas restaurant.

Her rep Liza Anderson confirmed to RadarOnline.com: 'All allegations against Longoria Parker and the restaurant are absolutely false, untrue, and without merit.

'Longoria Parker plans to countersue the couple in a court of law in order to protect the integrity of the restaurant, its brand, and the welfare and well-being of her employees, as well as her own reputation.'

The actress was recently sued by former partners Ronen and Mali Nachim.

The pair had been brought in to manage the restaurant and had a small equity investment in the Las Vegas branch.

They recently filed a breach-of-contract suit against the actress following concerns from Longoria Parker and other partners about their management style.

Last February Marcia Cross' husband, Tom Mahoney looked gaunt and frail but fast forward one year and the cancer striken stock broker looks back to health again.

Showing the side effects from his gruelling chemotherapy treatments Mahoney lost significant amounts of weight, as well as his hair, but thankfully he's gained both back.

And it's not just Mahoney that's thriving, the couple's 3-year-old twin daughters, Eden and Savannagh are growing into quite the little ladies!

The happy family were snapped Thursday as Marcia and Tom picked their daughters up from school in Santa Monica, California.

Despite the Desperate Housewives star's hectic filming schedule she still makes the time to be a hands on mum and doting wife.

On January 20th 2009 it was announced that Mahoney had been diagnosed with cancer, but by the look of things he seems to be winning the battle appearing the picture of health nowadays.

The 48-year-old actress, who plays Bree Hodge in Desperate Housewives, married Mahoney in June 2006 after dating for just six months.

Marcia has suffered her share of tragedy in her life -her long-term partner, actor Richard Jordan, died of a brain tumor in 1993.

Talking about his tragic death several years ago, Marcia said : "I thought life was passing me by and I was really just devastated about it. So the fact that my life sort of turned in the last two years is just a miracle to me."

Looks like that miracle is going to continue for many more years!

Babble sat down with Hatcher to get the scoop on her newest project, mothering 13-year-old daughter Emerson and the secret to her fabulous — though couldn’t be more than a size-two — figure. — Melissa Chapman

What inspired you to team up with Disney’s Family.com to create an online portal for women?

Women do a lot these days; we make money, take care of our children, spouses, and communities, we carpool, we bake-sale, but sometimes we forget about ourselves. And for some strange reason, we often still confront feelings of not being good enough, and its high time there's a shift in that attitude. Other strong women have inspired me, and I wanted to build a community where we could all learn from each other.

What do you hope Gethatched.com will impart to women?

Women are a force to be reckoned. Collectively, we have a lot of know-how, and we can share that. But we've created patterns and habits that often have us spending more time feeling less than our ourselves, and being competitive instead of sharing and laughing about the commonalities of aging or homework and feeling lonely. [Women] often nurture everyone else, but when it comes to ourselves, we find faults rather than rejoicing in our beauty. And as moms, wives and breadwinners, many of us are overwhelmed by daily to-do lists and forget how to find the fun in a day. The site will offer straightforward and hopefully funny insights on everything a woman might struggle with, from laundry to cooking to style to relationships. All of our content will be wisdom wrapped up in humor, sort of like cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto — laugh while you learn something.

What’s it like being a desperate housewife, and how has it changed your life?

Well, I'm not a desperate housewife; I just play one on TV. I've been blessed by a job filled with new friendships and memories and the freedom to not worry — quite so much — about college tuition and mortgages. As a single mom, there’s always a nagging feeling that this celebrity [status] could go away in a poof. You have to be conservative and smart; no Ferrari for me.

You’ve given moms a reason to feel like they can be sexy and seductive over 40. What’s your secret?

Well, thank you! I want to do everything I can to make women feel good about themselves and the unique, powerful qualities they have. Everyone is sexy and beautiful — the biggest challenge is feeling that way when you’re bloated and exhausted. I try to give myself a break and encourage other women to be kind to themselves — not just everyone else. My biggest piece of advice: Eat right and do eat, breakfast especially. I also drink lots of water and eliminate processed food.

What's your parenting philosophy?

Don't try to be perfect. Life isn't; no one is. Use mistakes and mishaps as opportunities to grow tolerance and to teach. There is such a thing as happy accidents. And love, love, love and listen, listen, listen.

How have you dealt with public tantrums?

Fortunately, I’ve never had to. I know, hate me. But seriously, [tantrums] happen because we put our children in situations we have no right to. We push them when they are tired; we create a behavior reward system with everything from food to stickers to toys. That will always backfire. Children need to behave appropriately because it’s the right thing to do, not out of fear of time-outs or cookie rewards. My advice: Deal in the boundaries of expectations of what a three-year-old should be able to do without a tantrum.

What's been your biggest parenting challenge?

Having a social life of my own. I'm not sorry for it, but I have sort of let that go. My daughter’s old enough now that it’s easier, more guilt-free [to have a social life], but there have been some lonely nights. I wouldn’t change that, nor do I regret it.

What's your favorite meal to make for your daughter?

Green beans, broccoli, mushrooms, and diced chicken in olive oil over a little linguini.

What do you do for "me" time?

Not enough! I hit golf balls at the range. Kills a lot of birds with one stone — but I don't mean literally!

If you could teach your daughter one life lesson, what would it be?

Life’s short — don't waste time on things that are trivial. Get off your cell phone, travel, laugh.

What's the last great book your kids read?

We just finished Alice in Wonderland again and Elsewhere and The Book Thief

What shocked you the most about parenting?

That there's an endless, tireless well of love in me.

Happy Birthday Tony Parker!

Tony Parker has been celebrating his 28th birthday for two weeks in three cities, and his wife Eva Longoria Parker is still not done showering him with gifts.

"I got him a lot of things," Eva Longoria-Parker said Saturday before celebrating her husband’s birthday at Las Vegas’s Eve Nightclub. "I got him four-wheelers because he wanted a new four-wheeler, and I got him a Microsoft surface computer that he can touch and play with."

The gift-giving will only continue, with one present still to open.

"I can’t wait to see the surprise," Parker immediately said. "I don’t have a birthday wish list. Whatever she gives me I’m fine with it. I’m happy."

The couple have been celebrating Parker’s birthday for two weeks in Miami, Los Angeles and Vegas, but Saturday was his big blowout.

Felicity Huffman Named Ambassador For Lee National Denim Day

Since it began in 1996, Lee National Denim Day has raised over $80 million to fund breast cancer research and support programs for patients and survivors of the disease. Each Denim Day, Americans across the country wear jeans to express solidarity in the fight against breast cancer and make donations to support the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Programs.

This year, actress Felicity Huffman is joining the campaign as the official 2010 Ambassador. Huffman is best known for her role portraying a character struggling to overcome breast cancer on the popular television show "Desperate Housewives."

While Denim Day isn't until October 8, supporters are encouraged to register online now to pledge to be a part of the nationwide event. Denim Day teams can be made up of friends, co-workers or other groups and can fundraise in a variety of different ways. All of the funds raised will go towards EIF's work to find new methods for early detection of breast cancer and more effective, less toxic treatment options.

Felicity looks stunning in the promotional ad. Absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't think of a better person to be named Ambassador for Lee National Denim Day. I think that a lot of housewives out there can relate to Felicity's character Lynette Scavo on Desperate Housewives.

Can't wait for season 7 to start and see what Bree's up to next. Will she get her company back to Sam and how is she going to cope with Orson leaving her.

Wisteria Lane is about to lose another longtime resident: Kyle MacLachlan is leaving Desperate Housewives after four years of playing Orson Hodge, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Exit rumors have swirled around the woefully underused MacLachlan for the better part of the past two years. Speculation picked up again after Sunday’s season finale, during which Orson — disappointed that Bree would allow herself to be blackmailed by Sam — abruptly moved out.

I’m told MacLachlan will likely return for an episode or two next fall to tie up the Orson/Bree story.

MacLachlan’s decampment brings to three the number of series regulars coming off the Housewives payroll. He joins the dearly departed Drea de Matteo and Dana Delany.

Thoughts? Is this something that should have happened two years ago when Orson started to drift onto the back burner? Will the return of Mark Moses and the recent addition of Vanessa Williams more than fill the void? Sound off below!

I'm so glad that Kyle is finally leaving Desperate Housewives. I felt that his storyline with Bree has been dragging on forever! He should have left ages ago. I'm also glad that Dana is gone as well. I was never crazy about Katherine. So am I worried that they both left? NO! Desperate Housewives can and will continue without them! Vanessa Williams Joins Desperate Housewives!

Kudos to ABC for the smartest move of the yet-to-be-hatched 2010-2011 TV season. Nope, I’m not talking about picking up The New Adventures of Old Christine from CBS — hasn’t happened yet, and probably won’t, according to Ausiello — but rather for adding Vanessa Williams (multiple Emmy nominee for the network’s recently departed Ugly Betty) to the cast of Desperate Housewives. “ABC is infinitely smart to keep her in the fold,” my colleague Tanner Stransky (EW’s resident Housewives recapper) emailed me. “They’re awesome about keeping talent they like around.”

Smarter still, the addition of the delectable Ms. Williams breathes instant buzz into a show that, six seasons in, has settled into the role of comfortable Sunday night companion, but ranks pretty low on the water-cooler flow chart. Now, of course, the question arises: What kind of role do we want to see Williams play? And how do we make sure she avoids getting Alfre’d (the syndrome that befell Alfre Woodard, Dana Delany, and Drea de Matteo — high-profile Housewives additions whose roles started strong and eventually turned to little more than suburban lawn mulch)?

Here’s my suggestion: As much as I want Williams to bring the patented bitchery of Ugly Betty‘s Wilhemina Slater to Wisteria Lane — can you imagine the high comedy of seeing Willie take a golden parachute from the Meades and land smack in suburbia? — an actress of her caliber probably isn’t interested in getting typecast. So how about casting Williams as a big-shot financial planner who moves from Wall Street to join Carlos’ firm, then lures her neighbors into unwittingly investing in a Ponzi scheme that brings them all to the brink of financial ruin? Williams’ housewife could be frenemies with Gaby, forge an instant working-girl connection with Bree, and perhaps activate Lynette’s competitive side when she realizes she’s not necessarily the fiercest businesswoman on the block.

Plus, the role wouldn’t waste Williams’ talents at rocking outrageous couture. And naturally, Williams’ character would carry on a torrid affair with Mike Delfino –’cause it’s time the most boring household in Fairview got rocked by something harder than unpaid plumbing bills.

Why Marcia Cross Is No Domestic Diva Like Bree Van De Kamp

She may play the queen of homemaking on ABC's Desperate Housewives, but actress Marcia Cross isn't anything like Bree Van De Kamp. "I am not the greatest cook. I can do some nice breakfast foods, but don't ask me to do much more!" the actress admits to iVillage in an exclusive interview. As for Bree, "I wish she'd come and move in," Cross jokes.

Her lack of Bree's talent in the kitchen isn't stopping the 48-year-old actress, though. The mother of 3-year-old twin daughters Eden and Savannah is working with Mott's to help kids -- including her daughters -- eat healthier. As part of their commitment to healthy lifestyles, the company has also partnered with the nonprofit organization KaBOOM! to improve local parks and build new "mega-playgrounds" across the country, an initiative Cross feels is essential. "We really need to change the dynamic of what's going on in our country right now, which has led to these high levels of obesity," she explains.

iVillage chatted with Cross about why she's a funny mom, the "gift" she got when her daughters were born (hint: it's a type of guilt!) and why she'd love to get Bree scuba diving!

Why is this Mott's campaign so important to you?

It's just a great combination of things. Obviously, healthy juices and fruits for kids is priority. And they are now partnering with KaBOOM! this year to help build ten playgrounds across the United States. Ten doesn't sound like many, but they're like super-duper $75,000 mega playgrounds. I've learned through KaBOOM! that 60 percent of kids don't have a playground within walking distance of their home. And that statistic moves to 70 percent when you're talking about inner-city kids. Kids need to start out eating right and then going out and playing. I spent my whole childhood outdoors.

What do you do to keep your kids healthy?

In terms of food, I do it with the Mott's Medley Juices. I serve them those, or I sneak food into other foods, which is something Jessica Seinfeld wrote a book about. That's what you've gotta do. One of my girls is kind of a foodie and the other one would like to just only have a jelly sandwich so I have to kind of work it with her. And then I get them out to the park or we go on a hike. I try to get them to love nature like I do.

Do you go for hikes to help you stay in shape?

Well when I hike with them it's not exactly like that. (Laughs) They're actually pretty good -- it won't be long before I will be trying to keep up. For me, I have to press a little harder.

What's a survival tip for overwhelmed twin moms out there?

I think always knowing that it's universal, that you're doing the best I can and there's nothing wrong with you. It's just that hard. It's like, "Okay, this is what it is." And not thinking, "If only I could do this better or that better," which is what I actually am always thinking. But if you just know you're doing the best you can. Take a deep breath. You only have to be a good enough mother. You don't have to be a perfect mother.

What's surprised you most about yourself as a parent?

I didn't know that I'd have such a sense of humor with them. I just use humor a lot rather than getting annoyed or angry. I use the edges of humor to laugh through things as opposed to just being strict or mean. It's hard to explain, but if opportunities come up, we just laugh a lot. We have a lot of fun. We do.

How have you changed since becoming a mom?

I've had to work endlessly at being more and more organized because I'm definitely not a hugely organized person and the world moves at a very fast pace for me -- between emails and a million things you have to do for two children and my work life and my husband. Just trying to keep up with all that -- that's how I've kind of changed, but still always need to change more!

How do you see yourself in Eden and Savannah?

Oh my goodness, what a great question. I see the humor that I've brought to them. I see that coming back to me now, but in terms of who they are, they're both so different and I just see them as them. I don't really see me in them. I see some of the humor. I just feel like they're their own girls. And they're radically different.

How are they different?

One's a little more introverted, one's a little more extroverted. One loves to eat, one doesn't really want to eat. One always wants to wear shorts and blue, and the other's all girly and wants to wear my high heels. They're so much fun and so joyful to watch and just be with.

What's the funniest thing they've been doing lately?

There's this song that they know that is really cute, but it drives me crazy and it gets stuck in my head and I keep telling them, "This song gets stuck in my head." So now when they want to tease me, they'll start singing the song. It's so cute. It's adorable.

Do you think they understand the special bond of being twin sisters?

I'm not sure yet. I'd say in the next couple years they'll start to figure it out. They just know nothing different. That's just the way it is -- that's who (they've) been with morning, noon and night.

You brought Desperate Housewives home with you when you were pregnant, shooting scenes from your bedroom. How do you now balance motherhood and work?

I don't think you can look at it on a day-to-day basis because I might have a 14-hour day at work, so that's completely unbalanced in terms of seeing my kids and it's a ton of work. But then the next day I'll spend lots and lots of time with them. So I try to do it on an ongoing basis. If I've been working, then the next day I'll spend more time with the girls. And if I've been with the girls, then maybe I'll allow myself a little me time. It just depends how it's all going and that changes week to week.

Do you ever feel mommy guilt?

I think the minute any child is born that comes with it! I think it's just wrapped in a big bow right beside them. It never goes away.

Which Desperate Housewife are you most like in real life?

None of them, really. No, because Lynette's so organized and so with it and Gaby is just nothing like me, but she's so much fun. I'd be more like Susan.

Is there one thing you would like to do as Bree that you haven't?

I would like to see her in situations where she's just so out of her comfort zone, like skydiving or on a roller coaster. You know what I mean? I would like to see her pushed that way.

Like a "Bree Has Fun" episode.

Or maybe a few! Scuba diving. Just things that she's never allowed herself to do.

Will we ever see Bree having it nice and easy?

I doubt it. I would like that. It'd be great to have some fun. She should have a good time.

'Desperate Housewives': 'Ugly Betty's' Vanessa Williams on Wisteria?

Will Vanessa Williams Move Into Wisteria Lane?

"Desperate Housewives" has several vacancies to fill after this season's finale. The Bolens have moved on. And now we know that Dana Delany's pilot, "Body of Proof," has been picked up. So, Katherine's house may go up for sale.

So far, they've only filled Susan's empty home with the return of baddie, Paul Young (played by Mark Moses).

And executive producer Bob Daily tells us that Moses isn't the new "Edie" they've been searching for as Zap2it first reported back in February.

"We haven't really figured out what that person is," Daily tells us. "What we're looking for is sort of a provocateur, a muckraker. We've had a couple different people filling that role over the years. When Dana Delany joined The Lane, her function was partially to sort of stir things up a little bit. I think that's really what we're looking for."

Zap2it has heard rumors that former "Ugly Betty" star Vanessa Williams was being considered for a role next season. When a casting call for an African-American mother and daughter hit the web, the rumors about Williams joining seemed plausible. Both an ABC spokesperson and Daily say that casting call is not true. That doesn't mean that Vanessa Williams isn't being considered though.

"We love Vanessa Williams and I knew her name has been floated," says Daily. "If she were available, we would certainly be interested in talking to her."

Daily goes on to say, "We haven't had a moment to really think about the new characters for next season. I think we're primarily looking for what kind of character we want to add next year. In terms of gender or age or race, we haven't thought that far yet. [Vanessa Williams] has come up, but nothing more at this point. We think she's great, but nothing more than that her name was mentioned in the writer's room."

Daily tells us that "Desperate Housewives" creator, Marc Cherry, will be having lunch with Williams soon. He stresses it's not to talk about the show, but about the legendary stage and film composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Cherry is a big fan and Williams is currently starring on Broadway in "Sondheim on Sondheim."

They probably won't talk about "Desperate Housewives" at all, right?

Paul Young is back on Wisteria Lane . . . We wonder why?

The star of ABC Studios, the ‘Desperate Housewives’ TV series, is going to enter its seventh season this September 2010.

And if the mysteries to be concluded in the seventh season aren't enough, Marc Cherry is going to add on the spice. Paul Young (played by Mark Moses), the husband of Mary Alice Young in the first season ‘Desperate Housewives’, is back from prison to surprise the almost peaceful Wisteria Lane, or more like ‘Histeria Lane’.

Paul Young’s last appearance was on the third season of the Desperate Housewives. Can't remember what happened to Paul Young? Here's a small recap . . .

"Felicia Tilman was still intent on making Paul Young pay for her sister's death. Felicia planned to inform Noah Taylor about Paul's involvement in the murder of Noah's daughter Deirdre, hoping that Noah would take justice into his own hands. Her plan failed, however, when Zach Young blackmailed his grandfather into sparing Paul. She moved back onto Wisteria Lane and terrorized Paul.

After Paul lost control and attacked her in front of several witnesses, she seized her chance and faked her own murder by cutting off two of her fingers which led to Paul being arrested and subsequently abandoned by Zach after he inherited his grandfather's fortune and realized that Paul was responsible for Martha Huber's death." The seventh season is predicted to be the revenge of Paul Young to Mike Delfino (played by James Denton), for Paul thinks that Mike took his son, Zach Young (played by Cody Kasch), away from him.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ was created by Marc Cherry, and its premiere was on October 3^rd 2004. It is actually an American drama-comedy series about the life of some housewives in Wisteria Lane, Fairview town in the Eagle State of America. The ‘Desperate Housewives’ is produced by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions, featuring Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Van de Kamp, Eva Longoria Parker as Gabrielle Solis, and Brenda Strong as the narrator of the presence of Mary Alice Young.

Being a successful TV series, the ‘Desperate Housewives’ has been through six glorious years and winning many awards, such as the Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild. And on previous April 2007, the ‘Desperate Housewives’ was reported as the most popular show worldwide which reached 120 million audiences.

When she learned that he was gay, the highly religious Bree strongly disapproved. The wrangling continued as Andrew tried to get his inheritance ahead of schedule from his late father, while Bree joined up with Andrew's boyfriend, Justin, to keep him from moving in with his grandparents.

An uneasy truce had been reached, but that fell apart disastrously after Andrew seduced her boyfriend, who happened to be a recovering sex addict. A shattered Bree drove Andrew out of town, leaving him at the side of the road with only a backpack and some money.

After some time spent turning tricks, Andrew returned to the fold. He and his mother made up so well, in fact, that he went to work for her after she became a successful caterer and cookbook author. When Orson met Bree Van de Kamp, the two hit it off immediately. Orson stepped up his courtship by aiding Bree during her escape from his old mental health facility. Everyone around here feels turning a blind eye to a prison break is so much more romantic than just bringing flowers.

Orson’s mysterious past almost came to light when Mike recognized him during a routine dentist visit. We say it “almost” because Orson later ran Mike over with a car, giving him retrograde amnesia. Problem solved, right? Wrong. Questions about the death of Orson’s ex-wife came up just before his wedding to Bree. Orson assured his bride-to-be that he didn’t kill his ex and the wedding was on. But when Bree discovered Orson ran over Mike, she threatened to divorce him unless he turned himself in.

After the five-year leap, we see that Orson did, indeed, go to prison for hitting Mike. His criminal record made it impossible for him to find work as a dentist. His marriage to Bree was on the rocks, too. She published a highly-successful cookbook while Orson was serving time. This left him feeling underappreciated. In order to feel alive again, Orson started stealing things from just about everyone on Wisteria Lane.

This was the last straw for Bree. She wants a divorce, but Orson doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. He blackmails Bree into staying married. She doesn’t love him but Orson says, “That’s all right, darling. I have enough love for both of us.” You think that sentiment is going to stick once Orson finds out about Bree’s affair with less-than-ethical divorce attorney Karl Mayer?

About Kyle MacLachlan

Wisteria Lane is a long way from Twin Peaks, Washington, but we’re pretty sure Desperate Housewives serves up enough twists and turns to keep Kyle MacLachlan guessing!

MacLachlan is an actor who has brought indelible charm and a quirky sophistication to some of film and television's most memorable roles. He has recently joined the cast of Desperate Housewives, playing Dr. Orson Hodge, Bree's (Marcia Cross) charming new husband who is a dentist with a hidden agenda.

He is perhaps best known for his performance as FBI Agent Dale Cooper in David Lynch's ground breaking series, Twin Peaks, for which he received two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award. MacLachlan made his feature film debut in the futuristic drama Dune, directed by David Lynch. This was followed by his second collaboration with Lynch in Blue Velvet. He starred alongside Ethan Hawke in Miramax's Hamlet (2000), directed by Michael Almeryeda, with MacLachlan portraying Claudius, Hamlet's stepfather, in a cast that included Bill Murray, Julia Stiles and Sam Shepard.

There's no question who calls the shots in the Scavo household and it's definitely Lynette, not her husband, Tom. She's never had a problem letting him know she's better at the ad game than he ever was, and that he's far too soft with their kids -- Parker, Penny and troublesome twins Porter and Preston.

The awkward revelation of a love child from a previous relationship turned nightmarish when his daughter, Kayla, coolly plotted to frame Lynette as an abusive stepmother. Tom caught on to Kayla's scheme, however, and sent her packing.

Lynette went along with Tom's lifelong dream of opening a pizzeria, but their relationship hit another snag when she fell for their chef, Rick, and it looked like Tom had torched his rival's new restaurant.

After a near-death experience at the pizzeria, Tom grew disenchanted with the idea of making pizza for a living and suggested, to Lynette's horror, that they pull the kids out of the school and tour the country by RV. His mid-life crisis looked ready to dash all their hard-earned dreams, until he contented himself by buying a vintage sports car and channeling his inner rock god in the garage band Dave Williams put together.

Doug Savant first gained national attention when he was cast in the role of Matt Fielding on the Fox series Melrose Place. It marked one of the first times an openly gay character was portrayed on network television. The series, which could only be described as a cultural phenomenon, became a television fixation, continually sparking water cooler conversations week after week. He's currently back for a second turn on another television cultural phenomenon, Desperate Housewives, in which he portrays former ad exec and current house husband Tom Scavo.

When we first met Carlos, he was a high-powered executive whose neglect of his wife led to her affair with their teenage gardener. After a stint in jail for dubious business practices, Carlos had an affair of his own, with the maid Gabrielle had convinced to bear their surrogate child.

The two divorced and Gaby began seeing Victor, the town's mayor, while Carlos began an affair with Edie Britt. But on her wedding day to Victor, Gabrielle and Carlos secretly resumed their torrid romance.

Victor tried to kill Carlos, but a timely tornado took Victor out -- and left Carlos blind. He and Gaby remarried and, to her shock and his delight, she became pregnant, not once but twice. Still blind but finally fulfilled as a father, Carlos found work at the local country club as a masseur.

Another blow to the head and a successful surgery later, Carlos' s sight was restored. He yearned to work with the blind at the local community center, but Gabrielle insisted he start bringing in the big bucks again, to make up for five years of penny-pinching. Carlos reluctantly agreed, and the two were right back where they started, rich but miserable.

Mike Delfino. All the ladies love him and all the guys want to be him. Well, at least, all the ones we know. Mike first rolled into town under the guise of your hunky neighborhood plumber. His presence was enough to make any desperate housewife clog a drain or burst a pipe.

The women of Wisteria Lane were quickly hooked by Mike’s rugged looks. We were, too. But Mike wasn’t looking for love when he first arrived. He was trying to track down his missing ex-girlfriend, Deirdre, on orders from her dying dad. He ultimately discovered the truth behind Deidre’s death as well as being introduced to the son he never knew he had. But Mike’s life changed forever once he met Susan Mayer.

We like to describe Mike and Susan’s relationship as having all the unwavering stability of a runaway roller coaster. Mike didn’t like it when Susan drove away his creepy son, Zach. Susan was a tad put off when Mike couldn’t remember their relationship after coming out of a coma. And she really shouldn’t have gotten engaged to that dashing Brit, Ian. But once Mike got his memory back, Ian was sent packing.

Mike and Susan eventually got married and had a baby. Mike was injured while working hard to support his growing family. He became addicted to pain killers. It put a serious strain on the marriage. A tragic car accident that happened during the five-year time gap ultimately led to the end of their union. Yeah, we were shocked, too. We loved when Mike and Susan first fell in love but our hearts broke whenever they fell apart.

About James Denton

Currently starring as Mike Delfino in the Golden Globe and SAG Award-winning "Desperate Housewives," Nashville native James Denton recently completed filming the feature film "Tortured" with Laurence Fishburne. Other recent projects include the highly rated Lifetime movie "Custody," with Rob Morrow, and the feature film "Wanted: Undead or Alive," with "Saturday Night Live's" Chris Kattan.

Denton, who originally attended college on a basketball scholarship, wasn't bitten by the acting bug until he was 28. He landed the role of George Gibbs in a Nashville production of "Our Town," got fine reviews, but thought there was a more solid career in selling advertising, which he did in Tennessee and in North Carolina for four years before taking off for Chicago to become a professional actor.

He soon was accepted as one of Chicago's brightest stars. After earning a key casting when the "Untouchables" series came to town to film, Denton was drawn to Los Angeles, where his strong theatre reputation had preceded him, and he locked in choice turns in film, on TV and on the stage. He started building his big screen profile with performances in such films as "Primary Colors," "Face/Off" and "That Old Feeling," but soon off-beat roles in adventurous TV series were claiming his time. In 1997 Denton landed the role of the eerily sociopathic Mr. Lyle on NBC's hit drama "The Pretender," which was followed by roles in the television films "Pretender 2001" and "Pretender: The Island of The Haunted."

In 2001 he was cast by ABC to star opposite Kim Delaney in Steven Bochco's short-lived series, "Philly," but his growing reputation quickly led to a new series, "Threat Matrix," as Special Agent Jon Kilmer.

Denton's first Chicago stage role was as Stanley Kowalski in "A Streetcar Named Desire," and his last was the terrorist on the French farce, "Lapin, Lapin." He was a company member of the Griffin Theatre and at the Strawdog Theatre Ensemble, was one of the leads in the world premiere of "Flesh and Blood," performed in and composed the music for "The Night Hank Williams Died," and portrayed Kentucky preacher C.C. Showers in "The Diviners," which earned him a Joseph Jefferson Best Actor nomination. In Los Angeles he appeared in the premieres of "Asylum" at the Court Theatre, "Locked Up Down Shorty's" at the Powerhouse Theatre and "In Walked Monk" at the Hudson Theatre.

In addition to his series starring roles on TV, his guest appearances include "JAG," "Slider," "Dark Skies," "Two Guys and a Girl," "Ally McBeal" and "The West Wing." In January 2006 James Denton hosted the prestigious Miss America Pageant on the CMT Network.

Denton, who lives with his family in Los Angeles, became part owner of the Orange County Flyers baseball team in 2007.

Mariana 'Ana' Solis (Maiara Walsh) is Carlos Solis's niece. Ana arrives to Wisteria Lane in the fifth season finale to live with her uncle Carlos Solis and his family, as her grandmother had stated she was dying and couldn't take care of Ana anymore. Gabrielle soon realizes Ana is a very superficial, scheming and nasty young girl who uses her good looks to get what she wants. She openly admits to taking advantage of boys, such as the Scavo kids, as well as older men.

In the sixth season premiere, Ana continues to push Gabrielle's buttons in the two months leading to Susan and Mike Delfino's second wedding. Carlos wants Gabrielle to sign the legal papers that would define them as Ana's legal guardians, but Gabrielle isn't willing to. Ana overhears their conversation and starts acting out even more in purpose to get back at her aunt. When Gaby learns this, she immediately signs the papers to keep her niece at ease, 24/7.

Ana reveals she has a thing for Danny Bolen, and when Julie Mayer is strangled and sent to the hospital, he asks her to make up an alibi for him. The truth comes out, however, and Danny is eventually taken in custody. Later, Ana gets a job working for John Rowland, Gabrielle's ex-lover, and develops a crush on him. John leads Ana on only to get to Gabrielle. When Gaby confronts him, he kisses her, and Ana witnesses the kiss.

She runs home, infuriated, and prepares to tell her uncle Carlos, but Gabrielle reassures her that Carlos knows about her past affair with John, and that she is so happy with Carlos right now. She begs Ana not to do anything that would ruin their happiness. Ana keeps quiet, and tells Carlos she is going to quit her job. Ana isn't seen again until Emily dies. She tells Julie that she would have liked her. She and Danny Bolen began to date. Gaby sends Ana to New York for a while after hearing Angie and Nick argue about their cover. Danny tracks down Ana to tell her the real reason while her aunt sent her away because Gaby did not want them to be together.

About Maiara Walsh

Adding to the already-certifiably hot roster of “Wisteria Lane” residents, Maiara Walsh (pronounced MY-ODDUH) moves in as the manipulative niece of Eva Longoria Parker, Ana Solis, on the cultural phenomenon that is ABC network’s Emmy Award-winning “Desperate Housewives.”

Walsh was born in Seattle, Washington to a Brazilian mother and Irish/German/Swedish father, second to older sister Lydia, all of whom have remained her grounding force through the years. The pentilingual actress (she speaks Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian and English) moved to Brazil for two years before returning to Seattle to finish grade school, in which she took the stage for the first time in the play “Mozart.”

Katherine Mayfair, an old friend of Susan Mayer's, returned to Wisteria Lane with her younger second husband, Adam, and teenage daughter, Dylan. Katherine was close-lipped about her past, including the fate of her first husband, Wayne Davis, and why Dylan didn't remember anything about growing up in Fairview, such as former best friend Julie Mayer.

Katherine's flair for baking and gardening began a heated rivalry with the neighborhood's resident homemaker extraordinare, Bree, until the two teamed up to create a successful catering company.

Her ex, Wayne, an abusive policeman, was not dead as many believed, but alive and well. He wanted to get to know his daughter Dylan better, but Katherine was dead-set against it. The big secret Katherine has been hiding: the real Dylan died in a tragic accident as a little girl and rather than deal with Wayne, Katherine adopted a lookalike from a Romanian orphanage. Wayne, demanding answers, held Katherine hostage, but Katherine shot and killed him. The residents of Wisteria Lane insisted the shooting was in self-defense, proving they considered Katherine one of their own.

Her marriage with Adam ended after revelations of an affair proved to be true. Katherine then found an unexpected romance with Mike Delfino, which put a strain on her relationship with Susan, who'd never gotten over her ex.

Dana Delany currently appears as Katherine Mayfair on "Desperate Housewives."

She made her mark as Army nurse Colleen McMurphy on ABC-TV's critically acclaimed series "China Beach," for which she received two Emmy Awards and four nominations for Best Dramatic Actress.

Following her graduation from Wesleyan University, Dana, a Stamford, Connecticut native, went to New York where she honed her skills in daytime television and theatre. She starred on Broadway in "A Life" and received critical acclaim in a number of off-Broadway productions including Nicholas Kazan's "Blood Moon" which led to her arrival in Los Angeles for the west coast production of the controversial drama.
