From the bride: I couldn’t wait to marry Jason, but we decided that we wanted to get married in the fall, so we had a long engagement. It was nice because it gave us time to figure out what we really wanted to do and not feel too pressured with planning. We chose to do a “mini” destination since we love to travel so much and really wanted to have a weekend away with our closest family and friends. With the help of our coordinator, Diane York, we found the perfect venue for us called The Barn on Walnut Hill in North Yarmouth, Maine. It had a beautiful farmhouse attached where we were able to sleep our family and our bridal party. We had the best weekend of our lives there, and it was such a beautiful place to be in the fall. It ended up raining on our wedding day, but it didn’t matter. We were going to have our ceremony outside, but because of the rain, we held it inside the Barn, and it was even more beautiful then I could have imagined with the lighting and sound of the rain. We worked with amazing vendors, Emily Carter did a beautiful job with the flowers, The Kitchen Chicks catered for us and helped us create our dream wedding. Amy Dube from Hobart and Haven created all of our printed pieces, invitations, programs, escort cards, favor tags – it was important to us to have a cohesive look and she created a custom set for us, it was so much fun to work on with her and I really loved how it all came together. My mom also did an amazing job with the pumpkin shown in the pictures, she spent hours hand making it. And last but certainly not least, our photographer Michelle Turner captured everything perfectly. The whole process was so much fun, but what made the weekend so special was celebrating with our amazing friends and family. We felt so overwhelmed with love when it was all over, and we have the most fantastic, warm and loving memories from that weekend.

Delaine and Steve chose the Casa Dorada Cabo San Lucas for their destination wedding. These two just looked so happy and you can tell they were having a lot of fun right till the end of the night. I love the kimonos all the girls wore while getting ready and how relaxed and calm everyone looks. The ceremony was held on the amazing deck over looking the Arch of Los Cabos and Medano beach with the reception to follow in Casa Dorada’s open air restaurant. Wedding planner Maye Cortinas did a gorgeous job with the entire setup. Casa Dorada provide all the other elements so Delaine and Steve could fully relax and enjoy every moment. Photographer Dennis Berti captured all those wonderful smiles and how truly fun and amazing this destination wedding was.
