“Voices In The Wind” is the name of a new song I started writing today, on this fourth of July weekend, Independence Day. Independence from tyranny and corruption but dependence on the Lord. Interdependent with one another so that we can live a peaceful and quiet life. This is what I seek. What are the voices saying? Which ones are we listening to? Which ones should we be listening to? Voices In The Wind!

When I was a child, I did not understand the term “Voices in the wind.” I thought, I can’t hear any voices, it is just the wind blowing. It was sometime later on that I realized that these voices are from others. They are speaking in different places at different times in public gatherings, songs are being sung, on the radio and on television. Words have power and they are swirling all around us. Some are starting to swirl like a hurricane and starting to bring major destruction. There are many bandwagons and it seems like everyone has something to say. There are blogs on the internet talking about all kinds of things, most of which don’t really matter. There are talk radio shows and TV talk shows. Voices, words, judgments, opinions, truths, facts, and lies make up most of this chatter and clamor.

There is so much noise. How can we ever get the truth? How can we find it?

Even some church leaders are following their own whims and egos. We need a bigger building. We need to have this program. We need to do this and we need to do that. We need to do it bigger and better than the other guy down the street. We need more money. The children are leaving. Why? Where is the power and the reality of the Lord in these places?

I ask you, where is the rest, peace and quiet. Where is the real Word of the Lord for us today? Does the Lord contradict Himself? I think not, so that means not everyone is telling the truth. But how do we find it? Where do we listen?

My friend, there is only one Voice of Truth. Scripture says that Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth, 1 John 2:27. If we search for Him with all that is within us, we will find Him. He will speak to our heart. He will show us the truth. His is the only voice we need to hear. He is our anchor in these dangerous, stormy waters. He is our peace. He can calm the wicked storm in our soul, if we would only ask. If we would only lay down our pride and humble ourselves we could hear.

We can’t hear His voice amidst the many voices clamoring in our ears. We need a quiet place. A place where we can shut it all out and hear His still small voice speak to our heart. How will we know? We will. When He does speak to us, we know it can’t be our thoughts and it sure can’t be from the darkness. We will know.

Things are changing rapidly on our planet. Big money people, corporations and governments are trying to have their way, but the Lord is at work. They can’t see Him. They have blinded their eyes in their pride and power, but He is at work and soon the way will be established. The enemy seeks to uncover and destroy the plan as he tried to do 2000 years ago, but once again it is hidden from his sight. Once again it is only for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Today, I write in riddles because this message is only for those who are truly seeking His way and those who want to know Him. Don’t let anything stand in the way of you hearing His voice today. He wants to show you His way. He wants you to be ready. Don’t follow the crowd. Go where He says and do what you see Him doing? He will lead you to where you need to be. You are responsible for your own life with the decisions and choices you make. No one else can do it for you. Now is the time! Get ready! Listen and obey! Voices In The Wind!

My friend, I care about you and so does the Lord. A net is forming globally with His people. We must join together and help one another. If we listen, He will tell us where to go and who to talk to. He knows you by name. He knew you before you were born. He loved you then and He loves you now. There is nothing you could ever do to keep Him from loving you. You are His creation and He cares. Give your life to Him today and let Him fill the emptiness inside with His love. His name is Jesus Christ. If you are not for sure, just ask Him to help you. Get to know Him. Let Him be your friend. Write to me if you like, just click here.

The hearts of the children are calling for the fathers and mothers. The hearts of the fathers and mothers are calling for the children. Can you hear it? Can you hear your own heart? Will you dare to get beyond your fears, acknowledge the loneliness inside and let your heart search for truth? There are blessings waiting! Time To Gather!

It has been three weeks since my last post, “Staying Ready.” Since then, there have been a lot of changes for us. We have literally walked out the last two posts. It has not been easy and we are still not quite sure what lies ahead of us, but we know we are not alone. We have never been this way before even though we are in a familiar surrounding. Things have changed. Where we are is only temporary and now, we simply wait for the next direction. There is always a temptation to fall back into old ways, but we must stay focused in order to walk into the new.

The world is in constant upheaval and things just seem to keep getting worse. If we choose, we can keep up with all of the distractions, but they are just the same as they have always been, same stories with different names. It seems like and there is much talk that the world is going to come to an end shortly, but only the Lord really knows how much time is left. There have been these proclamations before over the centuries and yet this time seems riper than all of the times before. So, what do we do? How do we know for sure? How can we prepare? So many people and prophets are saying so many different things. We can not believe the news media. They are all about making money so they pick and choose the best-selling stories. How do I know this?

When I was in London during 911 and we were unable to fly out, I listened to the BBC for the news. We watched the whole scenario of the attacks play out on the BBC. I knew more about what was happening with the twin towers, the downed plane, and the Pentagon than my wife who was watching the news here in the U.S. It was then I realized how deceived we are in our own country. We only hear what they want us to hear. What is the truth? How can we find it?

So what is the Word of the Lord for this season. I believe that it is time to gather. You can pray and ask Father to confirm this to you. It is a different kind of gathering though than we have seen in the past. I believe that this gathering is outside of the four walls of a lot of church buildings. I believe that this gathering is outside of many denominations, non-denominations and fellowships. I believe that this gathering is about His Kingdom. I believe that many of these groups are going to be upset in the coming months as their attendance dwindles. I believe that a lot of the attacks in the near future will again come from the religious crowd, nothing surprising here.

What do we need to do? We need to listen to the voice of the Lord to us and obey. This is not a time to be fearful. In the past, the Lord has opened the way before you, while this time He may require you to get your feet wet first. The Lord knows who has made themselves ready for this season and He is putting His net together. He has a purpose and a plan to see us all through the coming days in victory. It is going to require us to humble ourselves before Him and make a choice to follow His lead in this season. To some, He will require a totally new direction and possibly physical relocation. To others, they are in place physically but are going to have some new relationships develop. It is important that we each hear the Word of the Lord to us and do what He says. I can not stress this enough. My spirit is churning within me. I can not keep quiet. Today, if you hear His voice, please do not harden your heart.

Be open to new relationships. Be open to some old relationships becoming new and fresh again. A word of caution though, keep your eyes and ears open to distractions in some of these relationships. Remember, everything is new. This is a new season and the things that worked in the old season will not work in the new. Hear the fresh Word of the Lord and follow Him.

I have some more on this subject but it is going to have to wait for another post. Timing is critical and so are the words that must be said. Listen, listen, listen . . . Time To Gather!

As the creatures we are, it is easy sometimes to just go with the flow. It does not really take that much thought and if we are not careful we can be lulled to sleep. This is the bad thing about systems. By the time one realizes they have gone too far, they might have lost too much. So how can we stay ready? How can we live in this world and not let it dictate to us? Staying Ready!

First of all, when we choose to stay ready and to walk with the Lord we are always going to be different and stand out from those around us. We need to be okay with that because it is reality. There will be challenges from those around us to bend and just go with the flow, hence the saying, ” Just do it!” So, if you are ready, stand before the Lord and make your choice with Him. Ask Him for His help to make it through. We can not walk this walk in our own strenght. We need the power of Holy Spirit and all His attributes of peace, grace, love, mercy, loving kindness, etc.

We also need His healing touch. Our hearts need to be mended so that we can stand strong with Him and not be co-dependent on anyone else. The more healing we receive, the stronger we become and the less fear has a hold on us. The more we walk with Him and talk with Him the more real He becomes. The more real He becomes the less real the circumstances and fears around us. We begin to see the truth and lies are exposed. Humanism becomes exposed to the truth of His Word. All of a sudden we see and the things that we once embraced become as dung to us. We realize that the ways we walked before only brought us pain and grief and our desire now is to get as far away from that old life as possible. We have found a new and better way.

One of the decisions I made in my early walk with the Lord was to choose to go wherever He wanted me to go and to say whatever He wanted me to say. This has been hard sometimes because we have made some friends in different places. Also, we have added things to our household that we really did not need and so we need to let go of them. Sometimes it has meant starting all over again. In all of this it has always been worth it. I think the best thing that has happened in my life because of this is the fact that I am now less afraid of things. If we have to pick up and move somewhere at a moment’s notice, I know that He will be there. If we have to leave everything behind, there will be more than enough for where we are going.

I have walked into many houses that are adorned with elegance and filled with many things. Some of these things are never used but are only for show. Like Paul said, “Everything is permissable, but not everything is beneficial.” Each of us has to know what is good for us. Please, I am not knocking someone who has these things. I would like to have a place like this and I do not think it is wrong to have these things. Here is the catch. It is not about all the things we have, rather it is about the things that have us. Can we leave them behind? Can we go on unhindered if circumstances change? Can we let go of the money without it destroying our lives? This is the point. When the stock markets crash and people lose so much, why do they commit suicide? Where was there hope? Where was their identity? Where is mine? Where is yours?

There is one good thing to be said about moving often, if nothing else we stay lean. We are more focused on the things that are necessary. It even crosses over into our mental state. We become more prepared for the changes that may come as we walk down the path of life with the Lord. Even if we are to stay in one place for long periods of time, we can still be prepared and stay ready. Our world changes everyday and we need to be ready for change. Who is the Lord going to send by us? Who is going to read a page of our book today? We are all writing books everyday. They are recorded in heaven. Each page is read by everyone we meet and talk to everyday. What do they see? What would they say about you? How will there lives change in the short moment your paths crossed? Did they see a smile to help encourage them? Did they see a person they would like to be around? Did they take a little bit of you to help them on their way or did what they see help to bring them down? It is about you and it is about them. Are you ready for every opportunity to pass on some of the greatness you have received from the Lord? Staying Ready!

Have you ever had to make a difficult choice? Maybe you had to move somewhere you just did not want to go. Maybe it was to take a job you really didn’t want. Have you ever gone somewhere you really felt right about only to have it totally change for the worst? Temptations are all around us, but what are the right choices? Difficult Choices!

As I write this today, I am facing a difficult choice. We are moving somewhere I really don’t want to go. This has been a comfortable place and a place of prosperity for us. So how do we come to make decisions like this. These decisions do not only affect us, but also those around us that we have met and touched. There is a tearing that occurs. There are some regrets over the desire that we should have taken the time to get together more often, but now it is too late.

Moving is not a bad thing, if you have heard from the Lord. It can be devastating if you go on your own desires and at the wrong time. I have walked with the Lord long enough to know it is better to obey than go my own way. Some things must come to an end for the new to come about. There are people we need to meet. There are paths we need to walk so that we can grow in Him. There are others He desires for us to touch. Just like this website reaches out across the world and has touched people in over 50 countries and different languages. It would not have happened without one of those Difficult Choices.

Five years ago I was not looking to spend a lot of money, nor was I interested in going back to school to get a degree. There were many times I thought, “Are You sure I heard You correctly, Lord?” My first week in the classroom, at my much older age than my classmates, I was almost convinced I had made a mistake. These peers of mine knew more about the computer, coming out of High School, than I thought I would ever grasp in so short of a time period. The Lord was faithful and two years later I graduated with honors. My desire was to have a ministry web site where I could reach out to others and help them. I didn’t have the money to build one, so Father helped me get the skills and knowledge to do it. Now, I have three personal web sites and have been able to help many more people have one of their own.

Difficult Choices go against the grain. Things sometime appear good to us when they are not. Times change and so do the circumstances. Walking this path with Jesus is sometimes very difficult, but it has always been more than worth it. The hard times are forgotten as the blessings flow and flow. The relationships I have gained over the years are so much more valuable than any earthly gain or riches. For us, a season is ending, but another is just beginning to bloom. In reality, this old season is like a flower that is at the end of its season and is turning to seed that will enable an abundance of new flowers in this new soil, in this new place, in this new season. These seeds are for a different place. They are for refreshing for those who will come around us. They are to bless others as well as for us to receive.

Are you facing Difficult Choices today? Do not make decisions based on your feelings and fears, but rather, wait until you hear His voice and are sure of the way to go. Sometimes the circumstances do not even change until you make the decision to go His way. Think back to the Jordan river as it flooded before Israel. As they stepped into the flooded river, it parted for them to walk through. Listen for the word from the Lord, make the decision and then step out when it is time. Enjoy your walk with Him. It is always an adventure. It has more thrills than any roller coaster could ever attain. If you have any thoughts or anything you would like to share with others, please write. We are all on this journey together and sometimes our paths cross more than just this once. I want you to know that I care. It doesn’t matter how you got to where you are, your decisions today will change your life anew. Live like every moment really means something because it really does. One decision can put you on a better path. Difficult Choices!

No regrets! Is that a true goal? What about your loved ones and knowing how precious they are to you, do they know it? Have you told them lately? Do you hold a grudge? Have you gotten mad and in your anger made some bad choices and decisions and now you don’t know how to mend what has been torn? Or has it been the other way around? What if one of you died today, would the other one know how you really felt? Speak Your Heart!

What is it all worth to you? How can you possibly overcome the mountain that stands in your way? If it is a mountain placed there by you, chances are good that you have the means to get it out of the way. Is it unforgiveness? Why did they treat you this way? Don’t they understand? Maybe it was the lack of respect or maybe they just did something that broke your heart in two and now it hurts too much.

Somewhere in all of that hurt and pain, you have to separate your feelings from what you know to be true in your heart, at least for a moment. Ask the Lord to help you. Once you find the truth, the rest is much easier. Our feelings can lie to us. Take the old story, for instance, about an automobile wreck. There are many witnesses but if you ask each one of them their story, they will all be different. This is because they see it all from different perspectives.

What is in your heart? Is it healed or are there some areas that are broken, bruised and torn. How do you react or respond in different situations? Is there a certain situation that triggers you to react in a ceretain way? These are the things that we can work on to help. These are our responsibilities. We need to be healed and the Lord can heal us if we ask and if we truly want to be healed. Once we are healed then we can respond to situations instead of react.

Maybe the person who has hurt you is totally unaware of what they did. Maybe what you thought they did was not really what happened at all. Maybe it was twisted by your own hurts and wounds and you just took it the wrong way. A healed person would respond in these situations and ask if this is what was intended. A wounded person reacts from the previous pain in their heart and usually closes up more, even if the situation had nothing to do with them. I know. I have been there many times.

How do you overcome because obviously this person means a lot to you? Communication! Write a letter. Send an email. Call them on the telephone. Meet with them in person. Do what you have to do? If the other person is unwilling, at least make sure they understand where you are. Forgive them, love them and let the Lord handle the situation. Maybe they need to go through some things in their life before they get the understanding.

The main point I am wanting to make is this: As for as it is in your power, make sure that those you love know that you love them. Do not leave it open for interpretation. Tell them over and over again. Listen to them also. They may not like some things about you and you about them, but love goes beyond that. Life is too short to not make things right. If you don’t believe me, ask someone who has lost a loved one and is now grieving. There are some who will tell you that they wish they would have done this or said that. They wish they could get one more chance, but they can’t.

I tell my children this and those who will listen. I have made many mistakes in my life but I don’t want to live with this kind of regret especially since it is in my power to do something about it. One thing my family knows is that I love them and there is nothing that will ever change that. I am here for them. While I have to let them grow up and make their own decisions, the door to my heart is always open, even more so when they make a mistake. You see, I have been there too.

Be there for those around you. Speak to them tenderly and with your heart. Encourage others and let them know you care. Share the love you have and a whole new world will open up to you. Some of the hurts and pains in your heart will simply go away. As you give your love away, you will also receive.

How divided we are in the body of Christ today! It grieves me to see all of the division. Christians can’t get with each other because of their different fellowship and denominational ties. Why is this? What is behind the scenes in this spiritual battle? Why can’t we be with each other? If you are in Christ, then we are brothers and sisters. Why the separation? Walk With Me!

The Me in “Walk With Me” refers to Jesus Christ. He wants us to walk with Him, get to know Him, be His friend, go wherever He leads and say whatever He says. He is passionate for our love. It is deeper than the love between a husband and wife. We are to become one with Him. He died for us, should He expect anything less? Should we expect to give Him anything less? We should never hold anyone up higher than Jesus, especially any servant of the Lord.

Let’s look at the following scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:9-17, “God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says, ‘I follow Paul’; another, ‘I follow Apollos’; another, ‘I follow Cephas‘; still another, ‘I follow Christ.’

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”

Notice in the letters to the 7 churches in Revelation 2 & 3 that the Lord has a message for the church body in each of the 7 cities. He didn’t call them out by denomination nor by their leaders names. He spoke to the church in Ephesus. He spoke to the church in Laodicea. He speaks to the church in Dallas, the church in New York, the church in London, the church in Sydney, the church in Bagdad, the church in Jerusalem, the church in Berlin, and on and on. We must get this truth. We must unite together across the chasm of pride that is rampant in the Church today. He praised them for what they were doing right, addressed the spiritual darkness and powers over that city, and then admonished them in where they needed to improve. This was for all of the church in that city as a whole, not divisions. Can the true Church of Jesus Christ catch this truth and walk in it?

Not everyone who goes to a fellowship meeting is a part of the church. Not all leaders of these fellowships are following Christ. You need to spend time with the Lord. You are personally responsible for your walk with Him. No one else can be. When you leave this earth and meet Jesus face-to-face, He isn’t going to talk to you about everybody else. He is going to talk to you about your life and how you lived it. You will not be able to blame someone else. It was your fear, judgments, unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, rage, greed, pride, envy, jealousy and all of those things that might have kept you from being who you were meant to be. No one else. It is how you responded or reacted to everything around you that made the difference. You are responsible for the decisions you have made regardless of what has happened to you or someone else that you love. You can choose love, healing, grace, mercy, peace, loving kindness, and all the other good things that are available in Christ to overcome and live a victorious life. It is that simple. He has given us everything we need to live a life of victory. He has also given us brothers and sisters to help us along the way. At the end of the day and at the end of our lives, we alone are responsible.

Please hear what I am saying here because it is vital to the days ahead. When we walk with Jesus and follow Him as He leads, we begin to form a network with others across the earth. Each one of us is joined to many others. Now, if we are only secluded in one fellowship or denomination and will only be a part of others who belong to that belief, then we alienate ourselves from the true body and become like those that brought division in the early church. I follow ____!

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. I have had enough of being around people who are playing little children’s games on a battlefield filled with real enemies. Enough! Will the real body of Christ stand up and bring healing. Will the real body of Christ focus on the Kingdom of the Lord instead of all the distractions and bandwagons.

1John 2:26-27, “I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.”

The Lord gave me this scripture early in my walk. I think the reason He did was because I was so naive. I thought that all preachers spoke the truth. I thought that they all followed Jesus. Through many heartaches and pains I found that this was simply not true. Some of these leaders were hired hands like Jesus talked about in the gospels. They cared more about their ministry and fame than they did the Lord’s people. My tears fell over and over again for the innocent who were always being hurt. Ezekiel 34 talks about the goats and the sheep and the shepherds who abuse them.

Let us stand up in the calling we have received. Let us stand up in the truth. Let us not hold on to things that do not matter. Let us press forward to know Him more and to live our life in Him. Let His grace, love, and peace flow through our lives to others. Let us not build big fancy buildings, but rather build each other up in Him. Come on, hear His voice. Don’t harden your heart. The harvest is plentiful, vast, numerous, but the workers are few. Stand up today and make a difference. If everyone comes against you, remember that you are not alone. The Lord will send you help. People are searching for the truth and they know when they find it. The are tired of rituals and empty promises. They want LIFE! Help them find it no matter who they are.

If you need encouragement, read this blog and write to me if you want. Comment to some of the posts and share your story too. Give and you will receive. Give to every one around you. You have a smile. You have a word of encouragement. Meet everyone you see with a smile. Open a door for someone. Give someone a ride. Help them with a project. It is not just about money, rather it is about being a friend. It is easy to give money and walk away. Love stays around and helps someone down the path. Here’s to you. Be encouraged. You can do it. You can change the world around you and make it better by just walking with Him every moment of your life. Walk With Me!

Have you ever fallen down in your soul? Have you ever gotten so tired you just don’t want to keep going? Does the path ahead look like there is no way through? Have you lost sight of your goal or dream? I have been through all of these and it seems like the journey has come to an end. Just Keep Walking!

I have noticed that some of the times this happened over the years was because there was going to be a change in direction or maybe even a slight adjustment. I also noticed that if this dilemma had not have gotten my attention, I would not have been ready for the change. I might have even gone on with my life oblivious to the fact that there was a change and a better way. The Lord knows how each of us responds or reacts to the things around us. He doesn’t treat us the same as He does others. He cares way too much for us to do that. He knows what we need and He wants us to have the very best. He doesn’t like to see us hurt.

If you find yourself in one of these situations today and know of someone else who is, take courage, you both are in a good place. Change is coming so be ready. Lift up your head and look to the One who loves you more than you can imagine. Listen for His voice and do what He tells you to do. It is the still quiet voice, the one that brings peace to your soul.

If you’ve been in a bad relationship and now it is at an end. If you’ve had a good relationship and it has somehow broken apart. If the job you had has suddenly gone away. If the friend you loved has turned on you. If the dream you believed in has been shattered. If your family doesn’t understand and they are all against you. If you are broke, without a home, and no where to turn. If you’ve tried and tried and nothing works. Whatever it is, my friend, it will pass. The storm will pass over. The sun will shine again.

I have gone through some terrible storms in my life. Some were because of my foolishness and others just happened to me. As I look back in retrospect, I can see that it was these storms that actually saved my life. The motorcycle wreck, where I miraculously survived with only a few broken bones, was a turning point in my life that put me on a different path. Sometimes it takes these types of things to get our attention. Blessed are those who can take a tragedy or storm, not judge the situation wrongly, but discern it correctly and walk into the blessings the Lord has for them.

It is easy to give up. It is easy to judge wrongly and walk in bitterness. It is easy to strike out in anger and frustration and lose your soul in the process. I see people all of the time walking out their own judments. They took things personally that had nothing to do with them. Sometimes things just happen. Sometimes people make bad decisions without thinking that causes hurt to someone else. Were they trying to hurt that person? No! That person just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. What matters is how the victim responds? Will they forgive and go on with their life or will they hold on to bitterness and lose everything that is dear and precious to them? It is their choice. Bad things happen to everyone, but it is how we respond that either helps us to continue down a better path in life, or continue down a path that leads to eternal death.

I hope this helps you today. I have other posts about this subject that go more in depth and posts about other topics. I write because I care and the Lord has told me to do so. Some people minister from a stage, mine is from my desk. I also care about those who will not step inside of a church fellowship building, but might search the internet for help. You might even be on the other side of the world. This blog can be translated in 42 languages at the click on a flag. I feel privileged that software exists so that language is not that much of a barrier. We all hurt. We all laugh. We are not that different from each other as a few would have us believe. Share your life and love with others no matter where you are and dare to make a difference. The biggest difference and blessing will be in your life. Just Keep Walking!

For this post, I am going to tell you about my story. The scriptures say that if we ask, seek and knock, we will find that which we desire to know. Mathew 7:7-8, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” From the time I was a child, I think I have done this over and over again. It seems like I have always asked the question, “Why?”

When I was young I used to live in the country and during the summers I would go for walks in the pastures around our home. I would observe the land, water, and the animals. It seems like I always felt the presence of the Lord. I just knew He was there. My family was torn several times as I grew up. My dad left us when I was only three. My mother would marry two more times before I would graduate high school. Everything seemed broken all the time. Relationships were hard to develop with anything lasting more than just a short while.

I heard about Jesus as early as I can remember. My grandmother told me stories about him and prayed for my brother and I. We also went to a Lutheran Sunday school every Sunday morning although my parents would rarely attend Church. I was born into the Catholic church but my mother was kicked out when she divorced my father for threatening her with a gun. I have also been a part of several other denominations and some non-denominations in my life.

I remember talking to Jesus even when I didn’t understand much at all. The most I do remember is that when I knew He was near, I felt at peace and was comforted no matter what I was going through. I have been through a lot of trauma and broken relationships in my life so I can speak from experience about these kinds of things. I also can share about the Lord’s love, His caring and His healing touch. I am absolutely convinced that there is nothing He cannot do or heal. The only thing that stops Him from operating in our lives is our choice. He gave us the freedom to choose and He honors that.

For the sake of the length of this post I am only going to touch on this subject, but I’ll continue it later in another post. The main thing I would like each reader to get is this. You can tell the difference between someone who is walking with the Lord and someone who is just religious! You need to remember this. It can save you much heartache. Not everyone who says they are a Christian are. Neither are all that preach and minister. Secondly, we can only point the way to the Lord, but we can not make you follow Him. This is a choice you must make each and every day. This is a relationship you must develop. If you don’t, it simply won’t happen.

The Lord is a gentleman. He will not force Himself on you. It is more like a love affair between a man and a woman. The first step in the relationship is to meet. If they feel something between themselves it has the possibility to progress further. As they spend time with each other they share their hearts and their dreams. If things are still going in the right direction, there is the possibility of marriage. This is the way it is with the Lord. He is the bridegroom and we are the bride. Please note that this does not have any thing to do with gender. The soul and spirit are genderless. It is only the physical body that has a gender.

The way we learn about the Lord is through His Word, the Bible. We can also learn about Him through others who are walking with Him. We mainly learn about Him by walking with Him, praying and listening for His voice, feeling His heart, walking in His Spirit, basking in His peace and love, and living in His mighty anointing. This, my friend, is living. It is a journey and it will last for an eternity.

We start out with baby steps. It is like a child learning to walk. If the child falls the parent picks him back up and helps him to go again. If the child gets hurt the parent is there to love and protect. This is the way it is with the Lord. He is there for us. The more we let go of who we think we are, the more He can show us who we really are and can be. He will show us our destiny and purpose and if we follow Him and go His way, He will bring it about. It is really simple.

There are two basic differences between walking with the Lord and walking with the world. With the Lord everything is about Him and His love for us. He created us and He wants us to fulfill the desires He placed within our hearts so that we might live an abundant fruitful life. With the world everything is about power, greed, lust, and destruction. It is about stepping on others to get what you want. It doesn’t care about us at all. It only cares about what we can do for it.

People tell me that they can live their own lives the way the want. Look at the world and see if this is true. Jesus said you can only serve one of two masters, the Lord or mammon (the world). When a person truly finds the Lord and experiences His love, his eyes are opened and he sees everything clearly. How can anyone make an intelligent decision if they never search it out for themselves? What about you? Will you choose to make an intelligent decision or will you trust someone else to influence your choice through their own judgments, hurts and bitterness? This is not about the moment. It is about eternity.

May the Lord guide, protect and show you Himself. May you experience everything He wants to show you. May you find the love you so desperately desire. May you find His peace and fulfill the desires of your heart. I so want for you to be fulfilled, vibrant, healed and secure in Him. May you find the courage to lose yourself in His love to find out who you were really meant to be. May He become as real to you as He is to me. May you have a wonderful life. Ask, seek and knock. Ask Him to show you what you want to know. Seek Him to find out who He is. Knock on the door of His heart and open yours up to Him.

Here is a website that has online bibles in many translations. It is free. Also, if you are able, buy a Bible and start reading where you think He wants you to start. Let it be an adventure. I have written many posts about different topics, feel free to check them out. We are also in the process of doing new things with this website and our sister site. Keep checking back to the Home page for updates or to our sister site, BeneficialZone.

How can we stay focused in all the storms about us? How can we sleep through the night and wake up refreshed? What are the culprits that keep us awake and how do we attain the peace we so desperately need? These storms are real and they need our attention, but how do we put them in their right place? Staying Focused!

There are many things we need to do each day, but sometimes deciding on what is priority is the hard part. There are many voices in the wind that tell us we need to do this or we need to do that. Some of these voices are from the TV, the internet, the radio, laws, opinions, our thoughts and everything else. They are called the “shoulds.” You should do this. You should do that. This is the trap and we need to be aware of it.

In reality, we don’t need to do anything the Lord isn’t telling us to do. We know what is right but it is hard not to bow to the pressure of this world system. Our biggest enemy can be time if we let it dictate to us. Some things can wait. Some things don’t need to be done at all. Some things just work themselves out in time. But when they are coming at us all at once, it can be really overpowering.

I remember when computers were first arriving on the scene. Everyone was saying that they were going to enable us to do things faster so that we could have more time to do the things we wanted to do. The only problem is that the faster we are able to do things the more greedy people become so we now have to accomplish more and we end up using the free time that we desired to have in the first place. It is a never ending cycle once we buy into it. We need to overcome the curse of time and walk in the blessings of eternity.

When we are born again in Christ, we become new creatures. Our spirit is alive and we communicate with and in eternity. We will never die. We start to understand that we have a place on this earth for a season and then we have eternity with God the Father and Jesus in Heaven. We are here on this earth for a purpose and however long it takes is how long we will remain here. If we look at some of the saints of old we can get a glimpse of this. Abraham was given a promise that he longed to see fulfilled. Because of him, history was changed. Others had to walk different parts of it out for it to be fulfilled.

Why are you here on this earth right now? Do you know? If you do know, are you walking everyday with the Lord? At the end of the day can you say, “I did everything You wanted me to do today, Lord!” This is all there is. It is simple but it is not easy. The world system does not operate this way and it doesn’t like anyone to go against it, hence the storms that come our way.

What happens when we start walking the way of the Lord? First of all, we notice His peace that envelopes us. His presence is all about us. Sometimes others are attracted to us and some are repelled. His presence causes different responses, yet all will notice something different. Look at the different ways people responded to Jesus and to the disciples in the book of Acts. Those who were religious were the ones who fought them. Those who were needy received from the Lord. Those who have a form of godliness by denying the power of God, (2 Timothy 3:5) will always fight against the anointing. They rely on rituals to feel good instead of confessing the truth and getting right with the Lord. Then they put their rules and regulations on everyone else. The truth is simple. The truth brings freedom. Religion brings bondage, fear, and control. Please understand that the religion I am talking about is based upon rituals, rules and regulations taught by men and demons. A person or group can use parts of the truth, make a doctrine and beat others with it. We need to be careful that we live in the freedom that Jesus died to bring us. Holy Spirit will show us the truth. 1 John 2:26-27 says, “I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.” Do not let anyone rule over you as a god. Do not give away your freedom in Christ for someone else’s doctrine and belief. You are responsible for your life. When you leave this earth and meet face to face with the Lord, He is going to ask you about you, not someone else.

It is one thing to say you are a Christian and go to a church fellowship on the weekend. It is a totally different thing to be one. I can either have this religion that is a mere ritual that does not benefit me at all or I can have the real thing and walk everyday with the living Lord. I don’t want to share any religion with anyone else. I do want to share Him with everyone else. I want His love to flow through me so that others can feel Him touch their heart. I want His healing to heal those places that have been torn. I desire for everyone to walk in His peace and let stress be gone. I want everyone to be able to talk to Him and to hear His voice. He is not a religion. He is reality! He has changed my life forever and He can change your life too.

In my next post I will be writing about getting started in walking with Him. May you be blessed today. May the Lord’s peace envelope you as you seek His face. Remember, He loves you no matter what you’ve done or have not done. He will never leave you. He will always be with you. Get to know Him and experience a life of fullness and joy. Staying Focused!

Who needs comfort? Everyone! Is there any comfort? In the last year it looks like the whole world has gone into a tailspin. People are weeping and grieving over their lives and their loved ones. Who will comfort them? Who can help them? Who can they trust? Comfort My People!

As I was praying this morning I heard these words, “Comfort My People!” The Lord Jesus Christ wants you to know that He loves and cares for you. You are not alone. It doesn’t matter what others think of you, what matters is what you think of yourself and what He thinks of you. Wherever you hurt, He knows. Whatever you fear, He is there. He waits for you to call on Him and ask Him for His help. His angels are always around you to help you as you walk. BUT, it is you who must ask Him to help. Let Him wrap His arms around you and give you His peace and comfort. Will you do it?

I would like you to just tell Him everything that is wrong, how you feel about things, if you are mad, if you hate, how someone else wronged you. Whatever it is tell Him. He already knows what is in your heart anyways, but you need to get it out so it can be removed from you. Let go of the pain. Shout if you must. Cry if you must, but let it go and then let Him comfort and heal you.

Some people live their lives shut up in a dark room all by themselves. They don’t let anyone in and especially not into those sacred areas where they have been hurt, those places where the pain is unbearable. Their lives consist of a multitude of triggers that get pushed when someone says a certain word or looks at them in a certain way. How much the Lord grieves and wants to help. Others also want to help, but this person is locked in a room and they are the only one who has the key to let themselves out.

How can this person ever win? They need to feel His presence. They need to feel His love. They need to know that He cares. And then they need to trust and let Him. The pain is so deep, but His healing goes deeper still. The hate and anger is so intense, but His love is more than able to overcome. The fears are so intimidating and real, how much more the power of His presence. Pain and misery live in the darkness, but the Light of His love can bring the truth and make this room shine brighter than the sunniest day.

My friend, I don’t know how to reach you. I can tell you that I have been there. It isn’t easy to trust again. It isn’t easy to talk about it again so that healing can come, but the truth is you are dwelling on it all the time anyway by trying to keep others out. What will it hurt to trust one more time?

The Lord has a purpose and a plan for your life and it is good. He is not the one who hurt you. Bad things happen because people make bad choices and they hurt others, some on purpose and some by mistake. What matters most is how we choose to either react or respond. Reacting always brings more pain and suffering and it amplifies the situation. It can even hurt the ones you love that were totally innocent of the situation. In the end the victim can become the perpetrator. Responding with love and forgiveness cuts off the attack. It acknowledges that there was a wrong done. It acknowledges that perhaps a law was broken and there needs to be justice. It acknowledges that others might have also been affected and they need help too. It acknowledges that loved ones might have a need to be able to help. Don’t push them away. Let the healing come and get strengthened again. Then help others who are going through the same things. Walk away from selfishness and become a giver of life. Take a bad thing and make it into something beautiful.

If you have a piece of land that is filled with thorn bushes, briers and the like, take it and turn it into a wonderful garden of flowers and trees where the wind can blow and sweet fragrances can touch everyone who walks by you. Let your garden be a garden of love, not a garden of pain. If we can look out at others and see how we can help them, we soon forget about our troubles and our lives become more meaningful. The blessings also start to flow. Start smiling at others. Acknowledge them in a way that makes them feel special. Open a door for them or sometimes simply listen to what they need to say. It may be something you need to hear.

If you have been touched by this post, feel free to leave a comment or send an email through the contact page. If you need prayer, please write. If you have something you would like to share, please write. People need to know that the Lord loves them and that He is with them. They also need to know that He is there to comfort them. Have a great and wonderful day!
