Unfortunately for the GOP, we call him a "silent killer" because his mannerisms, background and education wouldn't necessarily have caused anyone to believe that he would excel in matters of national security and terrorism the way he has. Interestingly enough, the area where President Obama has hyper-excelled is also the same area where he can't be constantly obstructed by the far right who's mission is to block anything and everything the President does. Irrespective as to the negative consequences of their actions on the American people.

I used the term "unfortunately' because he will go down as one of the greatest orators of our time. A President with the swagger of a rock star, mixed with a charismatic preacher, statesman and yes leader of the free world all in one. The total package.

My how time flies! It just seems like yesterday when everyone doubted President Obama's chances at become the President. And before that Senator. Everyone questioned his resolve against terrorists, foreign affairs and national security matters. They questioned his intellect and decision making skills as it relates to nearly every facet of the kind of governance needed to be a good leader much less the President. And when all else failed, they even embarrassed themselves and questioned his birth certificate. Many Republicans still do.

And to the chagrin of the Republicans, he's proved them wrong again and again and again.

Now, the "silent killer" has to rise to the occasion once again and perform admirably under pressure. And we still have the naysayers throwing salt into the game. Drinking hater-aid and trying to introduce doubt in a man who has excelled under pressure and obstructionism COMBINED like no other President in the history of our great nation.

So unless you you don't mind loosing your shirt, don't bet against President Obama. Because tonight, once again, the silent killer will close the deal.
But felt like you'd look and feel even sillier if you tried to change your course so you just continued even though you knew you were wrong and going to suffer for your mistake?

That's what it's like for a lot of Republicans right now.

The good news is, like President Clinton said, we don't have the same kind of hatred for you that you have for us. In fact, we don't hate you at all. Your behaviors and the hatred, ignorance and mean spirited ways is something that we abhore and disagree with in the most strongest terms but the element of hate that your party bathes in just isn't there for us.

Also, as being reasonable, we understand that on occasion, people make mistakes. We forgive you and accept you with open arms if you confess your sins and simply come to the winning team of the Democratic Party. Actually, you really don't even have to confess anything. Just change your wicked ways through your actions is good enough for us.

There are different elements within our party and unlike the GOP, we don't ostracize, punish or stab the various elements within our party in the back who are more conservative or liberal. Because though we may have some differences, we view ourselves as one. Even with the Independents who lean left to center. We are all one.

So yes, in some of our minds, we may ask ourselves how could you have ever been enticed by the dark side, but we will NEVER hold it against you, be hateful towards you for it and greet you with open arms for having the intellect to switch parties and support President Obama for the sake of you, your family and future generations.

Yes indeed, we are now accepting applications to switch.
Mainly because the damage that the Republicans did was so severe and monumental, though we are not quite where we want to be, if we agreed to vote the GOP back in, we'd be going backwards to the policies that got us in this mess in the first place.

So to a certain degree, it was "yes" in lieu of voting the goon squad back in.

After, watching President Clinton obliterate Romney, Ryan and the myths that the GOP perpetrate against Americans and our President.

The answer doesn't need to be explained, prefaced, couched or framed.

It is a resounding YES. We are much better now as a direct result of the things President Obama has done and will continue to do, once re-elected for his second term.

Corporations ARE NOT People Romney!

Elizabeth Warren is a true American Hero. Raised in the public school system, a former public school teacher who ascended to the position of the first Consumer Protection Agency head under President Obama did an outstanding job at the DNC last night.

Of the several things she said to help us understand why President Obama is the man for the job once again, she eloquently brought up one of the most outrageous and out of touch views of Romney and the GOP.

In her response to Romney's assertion that "corporations are people", Warren said "No, Governor Romney, corporations are not people.
People have hearts, they have kids, they get jobs, they get sick, they
cry, they dance. They live, they love, and they die. And that matters.
That matters because we don't run this country for corporations. We run
it for people,"

She couldn't have said it better and it is a position that the overwhelming majority of Americans agree with.

The only thing more frightening than the Republican Party not understanding the difference between "corporations" and actual "human beings" is the fact they want to be in power to create and evince policies that support corporations while simultaneously decimating Americans at the same time. Romneyhood 2.0. The utter disconnect and insensitivity of the GOP towards us is the stuff that psychological medical journals are made of.

If you don't view yourself as a "corporation" but view yourself as person who wants to live the American dream by working hard and receiving fair pay. If you want to go to school to better yourself and the position of your family. If you want to have affordable healthcare so that you can take care of your children and yourself so that you can watch them grow into productive human beings, then it would be impossible for you to vote for a party, that doesn't even really consider you to be a human being in the first place.

To the GOP, you are one in the same with a corporation. An entity that never feels pain, has thoughts, can shed tears of sadness or joy, can have children, attend a funeral, a wedding or believe in God if it "chooses".

Ironically, these GOP corporations don't have a soul either.

My family, friends and love ones will NEVER be a corporation and neither will you. As a result, it is imperative that we align ourselves with President Obama. A man who makes decisions based on his daughters and not his donors or his delegates as so keenly noted by Warren at the convention.

President Obama is the clear path to the best possible scenarios for American prosperity, respect, dignity and restoration.

And that is why he'll have my vote and ultimately win once again.

REAL CLASS vs The RICH

We've been taught that the ultra rich have some kind of ownership on "class".

And so they love to ask "Are we better off now than we were four years ago?".

How clever as always.

In short, the answer is yes and no.

The first major reason why we're not is because the GOP tried to block virtually every single good thing the President has put forward. How kind of the obstructionists to ask about the success of the things they've obstructed.

The second reason why we're not is because we hadn't reached the crescendo of the calamity created by the Republican Bush administration when this President took office. Everyone was hoping that we could start a disaster recovery plan on day one but the damage was still in full swing. The burden was lessened by the incredible work of President Obama but the scope of the GOP damage was still so severe and long lasting, it's hard for many who suffered to understand. Hard, but luckily not impossible.

The more appropriate question is;

"Look at where we are now. Would you rather be here and continue with a new plan or go BACKWARDS to the very policies that put us here in the first place?

The answer is a resounding "I'd rather be here and move forward, NOT go backwards".

So the next time someone tries to ask you "are we better off now than we were four years ago?" Just say "NO, we aren't better off in a lot of areas than we were four years ago but yes, I'd rather be here than go backwards to the Republican policies that got us in this mess in the first place."

Don't ever fool yourselves into thinking that when the President makes certain decisions, he doesn't automatically consider his upbringing and experiences of not only himself but that of his loved ones starting with the person he loves above all, his wife. Of course his parents and kids are of equal concern too.

How our President thinks has as much to do with the experiences of the people he loves most as it does his own. Though obviously, on many levels they can be considered one in the same. Yet technically, still separate.

Here we have a President who considers the fate of middle class and poor Americans based on some very common and simple experiences that he has a direct and acute reference to.

His mother died of cancer. She suffered immeasurably and desired better healthcare. President Obama saw his mother arguing with insurance companies and even doctors on the phone regarding her treatment, coverage and money. This caused him great pain.

Then we have The First Lady. Her father had MS, was a water plant worker, often bound to crutches dealing with severe bouts of pain and agony in the process. A man who felt that he had to endure excruciating pain just to make ends meet and pay bills. A man who continued to work in order to pay for the schooling for his children. A young girl who watched her father struggle in pain. A site that caused her great pain.

Then we have the President who bypassed large salaries to work in middle class and poor communities to effect change and make their lives better. Sometimes with great results. But many times, he witnessed the cycle of poverty, despair and hopelessness associated with the fate of most Americans who are uneducated, poor and the voiceless of our nation. A site that caused him great pain as well.

All of these experiences have shaped a large part of how our President thinks. His desires, ambitions and goals are often easily and proudly transparent based on the aforementioned experiences. As a result, we have a President who identifies with us and cares. But not because I say so, but because we see how much he cares through is actions. President Obama risked his largest portion of political capitol on ensuring that we wouldn't have to suffer like his mother and his father in law did. And won.

Then we have the Republicans. A party who takes pride in making fun of the fact that President Obama was a "community organizer". A position that we have always known he assumed at great sacrifice in order to help the least of us. My how the GOP laughs at the notion. Proudly in their mean spirited ignorance.

And then we have Romney and company. The team who wants tax breaks for the richest Americans during a time where there should be more sacrifice. The team that wants to hide their taxes and offshore account dealings and financial safe havens. But what us to "trust them" because they viewed their own taxes and have deemed them "OK". The super rich and ultra-wealthy who want us to believe that they can relate to our pain based on what? The fact that they want us to be wealthy like them? We know better.

It's not a reasonable bet to believe that a guy who's nothing like you nor has ever experienced anything you're enduring will somehow be able to relate to you more than a guy who's been through much of what you've experienced and worse. A man who then came into the seat of power and immediately ensured that some of his painful experiences regarding healthcare didn't have to be repeated by you and your family. Especially while the outsider fought against that same plan tooth and nail.

The choice is clear. Our President, who thinks based on similar and common experiences as us. Or an outsider who's family refers to us as "you people".

After one of the greatest speeches ever given by a wife of any politician running for office anywhere in America or the world for that matter, President Obama really doesn't have to say a word.

Michelle Obama's elegance, mixed with passion, compassion and her extraordinary ability to allow the listeners to envision themselves in her shoes or the shoes of the people she speaks of is beyond anything we have seen in recent memory.

Respectfully, something that Ann Romney probably could never do. And certainly hasn't done to date.

The inspiration and sense of hope and commonality with most Americans was not only refreshing but really helped us to understand that it's not a matter of being better off than four years ago. It's about looking at the damage that the GOP inflicted on us. And how if we choose to go back to the GOP policies and Romney, instead of continue with President Obama's vision, we will be certain to be far worse off than we are now.

As I finished my fifth or six composition book full of documenting their lies, it occurred to me that it really wasn't necessary. At this juncture, the Republican Party has done more for the Democrats than what they could have ever done for themselves. With their messages being clearly off key throughout the convention and the staggering amount of lies and deception perpetrated by the event, it's becoming hard for me to believe that any reasonable, sane or otherwise intelligent person could support them in good conscience.

I couldn't really see any high tech attempts to say or do anything that would cause a voter to not believe what the evidence has shown in their true intentions and thoughts about large potions of Americans.

Anything new about women? Well they put a few out front but that's not enough to make a woman feel like they are a party who are for women rights more so than the Democrats. Romney did mention his mother's views on respecting women and their ability to make decisions which got a cheer from the women robots in the audience. But we all know that is absolutely not the position of the GOP on abortion and rape at the very least. Two huge, perhaps the hugest areas where the Republicans show their lack of sensitivity and respect women. Women can see through that perhaps more than any other dynamic who's currently being told one thing by the GOP and yet doing another.

The environment? The Bishop mentioned the President's pledge to heal the earth and the ocean so to speak but aren't they the ones who say "drill baby drill" and who consider global warming to be junk science despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary? Which leads to my next point of their unparalleled obstructionism efforts which have blocked the President in virtually every single thing he's tried to do.

By now, most Americans know that it's hypocritical to chastise someone for not doing enough while simultaneously trying to block that persons efforts all along the way. It's not being honest, it's not showing integrity in your thought process and it's definitely not the American way.

Clint Eastwood? Let's just say that when I watch "Unforgiven" (for what has to be the 1000th time), to my utter dismay, I'll never view him the same. Ever.

This convention offered nothing by way of their hatred for the poor, Muslims, Gays, the elderly, students, kids, middle class Whites, Blacks, Latinos or immigrants. Suffice it to say that Americans are smart enough to know when a person is disingenuously saying "see, here's goes one of your types who likes us, so vote for us and ignore our behavior towards you".

My former statement of "any reasonable, sane or otherwise intelligent person could support them in good conscience" is the key here. Being hateful, racist, bigoted, misogynistic, hyper-insensitive and the list goes on and on of adjectives and character defects would not qualify you to be any of the former. What's left? People who are weak minded, easily fooled and mislead. The sheep.

Other than that, it doesn't appear that the Democrats or President Obama have much to worry about as a result of the Republican Convention.

Because it was a failure.

Last week, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said that Democrats could very well blame George W. Bush's presidency forever for the nation's problems.

My first response was to say "no..." and then continue with why but the fact of the matter is, we're still kneee deep in the damage that the Bush and Republican Party has caused (that we know of anyway). So it's difficult to really say when or how long you guys will have to shoulder the blame for nearly decimating the middle class but in theory, I guess it could reverberate almost "Forever" as you suggested.

In fact, thanks for using the "F" word in the same sentence regarding the lasting impression of your horrible leadership.

Now, you might find this hard to believe but there's no automatic time limit to a legacy of a screw up!

The reason why we keep on blaming Bush is because the damage of what he's done has continued until now!

If the damage had lasted only six months after he left, then we wouldn't be talking about him anymore. Actually, we probably would because he was such a horrible President but in terms of invoking his name in relation to some of the things that Americans are currently suffering from, probably not. Because they wouldn't exist anymore!

Once again, in the hypocrisy of how you guys do almost everything, you're trying to have it both ways. You NEVER took responsibility from the beginning and now that time is passed, you're saying it's time to stop blaming the party who's never accepted the blame in the first place. Quite cunning as always in the way you frame conversations with such limited options to cause people to choose things that only benefit you.

Unfortunately for you, that Jedi mind trick from the dark side doesn't work here. You must make a reasonable, responsible and intelligent choice.

So let's set the record straight. Which one is it?

Is it a fact that Bush and the GOP caused the crisis that got us in this catastrophe in the first place? And you're saying that you should be excused now by calling in a GOP term limits to responsibility "life line"?

OR

Is it what you all originally said which is that it was never your fault in the first place and the blame should have never been placed at the feet of The President in charge at that time?

Be wise in how you answer but you can't have it both ways.
One of the things that I find to be the most troubling about Mitt
Romney is that he's manipulated the rule (might I add in a very slick
and cunning way), that religion should not be placed as the primary
barometer for who is to be elected President.

Obviously though that is true, it doesn't mean that we can't take an
analytical look at the beliefs of the guys asking for our vote.
Republicans have an ingenious way of formulating misguided parameters
for a conversation and making it seem like it has to be one way or the
other within their prescribed guidelines of a question or situation. For
instance, "If you're against (the war or) President Bush who supports
our troops, then you're against the American troops themselves".
Obviously, the premise of the question offers no asylum for those who
dissent against the President or the war for that matter. So the weak
minded, were afraid to heavily dissent for fear of being viewed as
UN-supportive of America and our military. It was only later that people
started to scream that they were against President Bush because they
were FOR the troops. Accurately re-framing the conversation properly.

Despite a "no religious test clause" to become an American President,
I think people have been fooled into thinking that it's somehow wrong
to take a look at the beliefs of Romney and the secrecy of the Mormon
Church. More importantly, we should be alarmed at their unwillingness to
confess and speak openly about their beliefs. Sorry, but those 30
second "look here, Imma a cool Mormon" commercials with interracial
couples isn't quite going to be enough. After all, if it's all
reasonable, and above board, why can't we talk about it? I've always
been taught and believe that in the end "there's really no such thing as
a good secret".

So what's the iron curtain for?

Why can't Romney go into severe detail about his Mormon beliefs? For
fear people will view him differently? That's funny because I'm a
Christian and proudly proclaim myself as such. As a result of my
proclamation, I actually hope that people do look at me "differently ".

Let's take me for instance; I proclaim Jesus Christ as my Lord and
Savior. I believe that there is but only one way to the Father and that
is through his son, Jesus Christ. I guess the difference between me and
the GOP is, I don't hate everyone who doesn't believe that. I prefer to
pray for them and treat them with the same respect and dignity as anyone
else. But back to my specific beliefs, I subscribe to the scripture
that "should I ask anything in his name, I shall receive it." Now, if I
go to Vegas, and ask the Lord to "bless me" with the right slot machine
so that I can have the best party weekend I've ever had in my life and
buy the best chick magnet car ever created, then unfortunately, it
doesn't quite work that way. I can sit down and in my beliefs as a
Christian, explain why it doesn't. To anyone. I can profess that for me,
the Bible is the same then as it is now and that again, all things are
possible through Christ. And then I can give you a shpeel about what it
means to be Christian and trying to be more Christ like in our daily
behavior, compassion, mercy, justice, treatment of the poor and not
using filthy four letter words all of the time like it's nothing etc..
Furthermore, though I've certainly never been a "big wig" in my Church, I
can tell you all about our (what some would call) "ceremonies" and the
like as well. It's no big deal! For instance; If you come into my church
from out of the street, and desire to be baptized and confess Christ,
then we'll be happy to dunk you in the water and pray over you. How does
that work you ask? We have a small pool in the Church where everyone
can see you. Just out of view, we have a room filled with fresh white
robes and under garments. Someone from the Church escorts you to the
back, gives you a towel or two, let's you change out of your street
clothes in private and then when you're ready, you come on out in front
of the congregation. Maybe you'll say a word or two, maybe not, walk
down into the warm water and then take the Nestle plunge! A gentle
immersion, backwards being held by whoever is assigned to baptism duty
that day while you may or may not hold your nose. In the summer, it's
the same deal except at times we do it outside in the drink. We have
sunrise service on Easter and I can explain all of the concepts within
that Church holiday. Last but not least, we believe in the power of the
Holy spirit. We will have a HOLY GHOST party in a New York minute.

Yep, I said it. And proudly. As a result, I have my friends, blog
followers and people who I otherwise have a tremendous amount of respect
for like the Bill Maher types laugh so hard at those things, they
almost can't breath. They'll say, he's a great guy, very engaging and I
enjoy talking to him. All up until he starts to pray over his food, pray
over me when I'm sick and starts his "unicorn stories about people who
never existed in his fake bible. It's all a bit ridiculous but heck if
we don't love his blog and use it."

I'm good with that. I'll never pour a caramel coating over my
confession for Christ or edit the more "silly" elements of beliefs for
fear of not being accepted. This isn't a religious blog of any kind, so
it really never comes into play here. Even in my piece about how the GOP
right is the enemy of the Christian Church and Christ, I didn't have to
be one to see how their behavior towards the poor and needy is an
affront to the teachings of Christ.

I'm not running for anything but if I was interviewing for the job
and it came up during an interview, I'd confess it all with a straight
face and feel bad for the person who discriminated against me for it
because I'm a proud and a true believer.

Enter a man who I like to refer to as "The Master" Mitt Romney and his Church. He's managed to take the conversation of what his core beliefs are,
what drives him and what he teaches his children as completely off
limits in terms of details. His posture and even that of his Church is,
"we know what our practices are and they're fine with us. We've reviewed
them and because you shouldn't judge a Presidential candidate based on
his religion, never mind analyzing the finer details of what we believe.
The End". Sound familiar? It should because it's similar to his
position on his taxes. He wants us to believe that because HE HAS
reviewed them, HE HASN'T SEEN anything there worth talking about so
let's all move on to the next portion of the exercise. Not only is this
elitist in nature and treating Americans like "the help", it elicits a
feeling that he's hiding something because he's either ashamed or
embarrassed by what he's doing or has done.

For many elected positions, like dogcatcher, this posture could skate
by the smell test without protest. But for The Office of The President,
Bishop Romney will have to share more of his core religious beliefs and
his business records by way of his taxes too. Did I mention he was a
Bishop in the Mormon Church? Yes, " The Master" is a Bishop too. Which
one would think would qualify him and cause him to tell us more about
the intricacies of the Mormon Church more than probably any other
candidate in the history of Presidential elections. But instead, Romney
shies away from telling us details about Mormonism. Not only is that
illogical but it's very suspicious to say the least.

Could it be the Planet Kolob thing? As cut and pasted from my friends at Wikipedia;

"Kolob is a star or planet described in Mormon scripture. Reference
to Kolob is found in the Book of Abraham, a work published by Joseph
Smith, Jr., the founder of the Latter Day Saint movement. According to
this work, Kolob is the heavenly body nearest to the throne of God..

..According to several LDS writers (such as Cleon Skousen in his book
The First 2000 Years), the earth was created near Kolob over a period
of 6000 years (six "days" in Kolob time), and then moved to its present
position in our solar system. ..

.. In addition to the literal interpretation of Kolob as an actual
heavenly body, the LDS Church has proposed that Kolob is also "a symbol
of Jesus Christ", in that like Kolob, Jesus "governs" all the stars and
planets similar to the earth".

It should also be noted that The Battle Star Galactica science
fiction series was patterned after the Mormon tales of Kolob using the
name "Kobol".

Why won't Bishop Romney and the Mormons openly share those stories
with us? Exactly who is Joseph Smith? How is he viewed by his Church?
Inquiring minds want to know from the candidate who believes in these
things.

Or maybe it's the "magic undergarment" as people often refer to? From Wikipedia as well.
"Mormon underwear is a type of underwear worn by a vast majority of
adherents of the Latter Day Saint movement, after they have taken part
in the Endowment ceremony. Garments are worn both day and night and are
required for any previously endowed adult to enter a temple...

According to the LDS Church, the temple garments serve a number of
purposes. First, the garment provides the member "a constant reminder"
of the covenants they made in the temple. Second, the garment "when
properly worn...provides protection against temptation and evil...
General authority Carlos E. Asay adds that the garment "strengthens the
wearer to resist temptation, fend off evil influences, and stand firmly
for the right."

Is Romney going to wear this undergarment everyday or when he has to
make his most important decisions because he feels like it's going to
help him and America someway? That's a very fair question we should ask.
Lastly, there are special symbols written on these garments that have
a wide range of interesting meanings. Too long to go into on this blog
but that I encourage each of you to be independent and critical thinkers
and research for yourself.

These two areas of Bishop Romney's beliefs are only a small fraction
of what he should be coming clean about and explaining in detail so
that Americans can have a clear picture of who and what kind of man Mitt
Romney is. But again, we get the distinct feeling that he doesn't
really want us to know anything about him that would cause us to
question his judgement, character or business acumen in taxes and
finances. All of which he says are superior to that of President
Obama's. But without the proof.

In Islam they proudly confess their beliefs and are willing to
discuss them in detail. Same with Judaism. And of course, with 80% of
Americans being "Christian" and the majority being protestant, no
secrets there either.
So why can't the old Bishop and his Church go into detail about their
prophets, ceremonies, rituals and beliefs? The oddities of the Mormon
religion and particualrly that they are very much not in line with
traditional christian values and concepts is HUGE.

But why is it huge Mr. Destroy The Right? After all, That whole
baptism and being born again thing is as loony as Mitt's magic underwear
thing to a non-believer like me!

The question is fair and a good one but the answer is even better.

When the Republican Evangelical Christians smelled (what they thought
was) Muslim blood in the water, the first thing that they said was,
"there's no way they could ever support a Muslim candidate because Islam
is not line with traditional Christian values." If they didn't say it
once, they didn't say it a thousand times! We all understood them loud
and clear. But now, in Bishop Romney, we have a religion that's founded
by a guy named "Joesph Smith" as their founder and concepts involving a
planet called Planet Kolob. And that's some how more in line with
"traditional Christian values" than Islam? And now you come out and
support Bishop Romney more than you do the "traditional Christian"
candidate? That tells us that it couldn't have just been the whole Islam thing
you complained so hard about as to why you lied and said that you
couldn't support Barack Obama. But what could it be? Could it be that
you were discriminating against the fact that he came from Harvard? Man I
tell you, you really gotta watch those Harvard graduates. Nah, that
doesn't sound right either. I just can't seem to think what it could be?

Interestingly enough, if you take the time to examine Islam, the
Koran goes into great detail about Jesus Christ and also refers to Mary
and Peter as well. In fact, the Koran parallels the "traditional
Christian" Bible in many way to include but not limited to:

Jesus was born of a virgin
Jesus healed those born blind.
Jesus healed the lepers.
Jesus revived the dead.
and the list others is actually astounding. Peter's figure, especially
in Shia theolgy is important as he is generally regarded as the first
Imam after Jesus, and therefore is in accordance with the Christian view
of Peter as the 'Prince of the Apostles'. The Koran further tells us
that Jesus came to teach the same basic message which was taught by
previous prophets from God—that we must shun every false god and worship
only the one true God. Jesus taught that he is the servant and
messenger of that one true God, the God of Abraham. Imagine that?

Now what if, after a thorough examination of what Mormons believe vs.
a thorough examination of what Muslims belief, it came to pass that
Islam had as much IF NOT MORE relation to "traditional Christianity"
than Mormonism?

If Romney and the Mormon Church have their way, we will never take
the time or have the information to verify and see for ourselves because
Romney is doing everything in his power to hide who he is, what he does
and what he really believes from the American public until it's too
late. But luckily for us, we're smarter than that!

Seems like the Republican machine would rather act ignorant of the
facts and prop up a man who they really don't like or know than support a
man who proclaims himself outwardly as "their kind". A"traditional
Christian" candidate in President Obama. The one thing that USED TO BE
their biggest litmus test. My how things change. They couldn't support
Obama the first time around because they were all about traditional
Christian values and there was some questions there. Now, It's his
"performance"?. And they're supporting a Mormon who believes in things
so far from traditional Christian doctrine that it's beyond the realm of
what can be categorized as "opposite". But hate it when they're called
hypocrites, racists, bigots and flip floppers.

It's either one or the other;

If you were against the prospect of electing a "potential Muslim" in
President Obama the first time, then it is impossible for you to ever
consider electing Romney.

And if you're considering electing Romney for President, then you
have to outwardly confess that you would elect a Muslim for President as
well.

Romney+Mormon=Islam

The jig is up!

Specifically as it pertains to the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden.

One of the things that always comes to mind is, if it were Bush, then the GOP would have erected a 50 foot tall monument of him somewhere down on K street or next to the monument somewhere. There would be a "Game of Thrones" type of proclamation such as "Protector of the Realm" accolade bestowed upon him, a petition to add his face to Mt. Rushmore and he would be celebrated by the GOP in ways that we couldn't
fathom. Perhaps a holiday too.

But the real questions is, why aren't the Democrats doing that?

Why haven't they put their man out front in a way that promotes his leadership of the military and specifically his success in killing the enemies of America the way the Republicans would?

In case it hasn't occurred to them, they should. Before the end of President Obama's second term, the Democrats should push for the kind of official recognition that he deserves and ensure that his place in history is secured as a President who made one of the most daring, gutsy and successful calls ever in the history of American military leadership.

Just like the GOP would.

A MESSAGE FROM "THE TEAM"

Well our team is off for the weekend but look forward to seeing you again on Monday.
Boy do I love to say "we". Makes me feel like we have a nice full staff here at Destroy The Right :)
But we know that's not true because of my penchant for typos every now and again (for lack of a better term). Because if it were "we" instead of "me", I'm sure I wouldn't have as many typos as I do :0
Look No Further Than Your Neighbor!

I wasn't going to devote an entire piece to this but the Republicans have forced me to do the one thing they can't stand more than anything else. Present them with cold hard facts to go against their "superior sense" of "how they feel". Because as we all know, the GOP operates off of "feelings" above all.

It's their "feelings" above the law, "feelings" above what's reasonable and let's not forget their favorite, their "feelings" above "the facts".

So, let's look at some of the facts surrounding my claim that "If you're scared of being attacked. Look no further than your AMERICAN CHRISTIAN neighbor."

Muslims make up less than 4% of people here.
Christians on the other hand equal roughly 80%
There are about 310 MILLION people here.
In 2010 there were over 14,600 murders and 84,000 rapes. (Of which I'm not sure how many Republican Rep. Todd Akin would consider to be legitimate).
There were 1.2 MILLION violent
crimes and there were 8.2 MILLION burglaries and thefts.

And 2010 was overall the safest year in America almost forty years!

Though I'd love to take the credit for being this incredible researcher. The fact of the matter is, a 6th grader could go online and look these stats up by inputting "American crime rate" in a google search. From Wikipedia to the FBI crime stats (UCR), they're all there for the picking.

Let's dig a little deeper here. Compared with other countries, the United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world.

As of 2006, a record 7 million people were behind bars, on probation or on parole of which 2.2 million were incarcerated. The People Republic of China ranks second with 1.5 million. The United States has 5% of the worlds population and 25% of the world's incarcerated population.

When we examine everything from child abuse, physical neglect and everything in between in terms of how we treat each other as Americans who were born and raised here that are predominantly of Christian upbringing, the numbers are appalling. Particularly if you're just judging based on the statistics. Which many American like to use as a best indicator for things. That is of course, unless you want to use the ever present "selective application of principal" lifeline that allows you to be a hypocrite.

But if you're fair, reasonable and want to abide by the fats and the truth, then let's stop the "all of the Muslims are going to get me" phobias. And if you insist on having one, it should start with us fearing
each other BEFORE looking elsewhere. Which we won't do because "we know
better". Because when you know better, you should do better. So don't do it to others.

More importantly, as a Christian, I KNOW BETTER. When we look back over our lives at our "friends", people who we grew up with, or strangers in our neighborhoods and cities who either; owe us money that we're obviously never getting back, stabbed us in the back, cut us off while driving & gave us the bird, skipped us on line, hit our car while parked in the lot and then drove off without leaving a note or calling police, cheated on us etc.. I can assure you, it wasn't someone from "the evil Muslim empire". In your day to day travels, it was a fellow Christian. Not that all Christians are criminals or even most but it's the demographs and dynamics of our great country, the greatest in the world that shape our daily dealings. Not that of the less than 4%. To make people fearful of that is unreasonable and ridiculous based on "a feeling" and not "a fact".

There's good and bad everywhere, but Muslims are among the least to have
a corner on the crime market.

Not because I say so, but because their
behavior does.

Ironically, it wasn't in a far away land in a secret battle that most of us, would never even know happened other than waking up every morning and taking our freedom for granted in lieu of their tremendous sacrifices that keep us all safe. It was the battle to maintain their professional military bearing or in this unfortunate case, sequester their feelings of hatred that have disrespected and tarnished their reputation as the consummate "quiet professionals" that the overwhelming majority of them are.

Also ironically, they have served to be somewhat like insurgents within the teams. But really, instead of doing damage to the President, this small group of men are doing it to their fellow SEAL team members. Like no foreign enemy ever could.

We are seeing one of the worst examples of a lack of honor, integrity and discipline associated with a unit that previously had a blank check with the admiration, respect and gratitude of Americans like no other. The US Navy SEALs.

So without further delay, don't take my word for it, let's get right to the crux of what's been done. Or more aptly "undone".

Larry Bailey, a retired 27-year veteran of the Navy SEALs who founded the anti-Obama political group Special Operations Speaks is at the forefront of this disgraceful and disrespectful behavior towards the President. A proud and self proclaimed Birther, this "quiet professional" said "If there were a jury of 12 good men and women and the evidence were
placed before them, there would be absolutely no question Barack Obama
was not born where he said he was and is not who he says he is." His lack of shame went on to include insulting the President by saying "Obama was a socialist who was raised by communists". I can't emphasize how sad of a day it was for the Special Operations community when these comments were made.

Enter his buddy, former Navy SEAL Ben Smith, a spokesman for the OPSEC Education Fund. A group that pays for ads against the President. Some of his comments regarding a sitting American President are as follows; "You are an Imposter, You are a Muslim (Cassius Clay, Lew Alcindor,
Barry Soetoro), You are the Manchurian President and may you go back to
the country you were born in when you are deposed you little, little man
(and take all your communist sympathizers with you)," Smith wrote. "You
insult everything that was considered American. May you and your
administration be a lesson to history and your posterity be lost to the
rebirth of AMERICAN PATRIOTISM!"

All of this sanctioned and co-signed by the Republican party. But wait a minute? What happened to the GOP cries for "respecting the Office of The President above all else"? In classic Republican hypocritical form and their rabid attempts to win at all costs, the rules have been thrown out of the window in order to succeed.

Interestingly enough, the crux of a lot their complaints stem from not wanting to give the President his proper credit for the Bin Laden mission. They want the mission to have happened, but just want to erase it from the books when it comes to being a win for President Obama as well as America. Actually, the military and America yes, President Obama no. In a move that former Secretary Robert Gates described as " gutsy" Gates said, "I worked for a lot of these guys. And this is one of the most
courageous calls – decisions — that I think I’ve ever seen a president
make,”. But somehow, the "Republican only SEAL team" wants to re-write history by writing our President out of it in an effort to emasculate his efforts to be re-elected. In their Republican selfishness, at the expense of the countless others who have the highest degree of integrity in everything they do and represent the ultimate in not being selfish as all.

Adm. Bill McRaven, head of the U.S. Special Operations command, said, "At the end of the day, make no mistake about it, it was the President
of the United States that shouldered the burden of this operation, that
made the hard decision," But just like their Birther claims based on "how they feel" instead of irrefutable facts, we have these outrageous positions continue despite the truth. They have done more to show the "sickness" of hate in the last five years than what we've had the pleasure of NOT knowing in the former twenty.

If the Bin Laden mission would have failed. It would have been an epic failure shouldered by the White House and President Obama's name would be featured in big bright lights scrawled across the middle of it. As was the case with the Iran hostage rescue failure. It was viewed as a failure of the President at that time.

And so now we have the exact opposite that has resulted in the highest degree of success possible. No loss of American lives and total loss of lives for the people who were the objective of the kill mission. But nothing in the way of true credit given to this President in conjunction with the credit afforded our CIA and military assets?

Luckily, there are counter forces in the military, highly respected
both current and retired who have spoken out against their behavior in a
tremendous way. I give them all the credit in the world. They are the finest example of consummate and consistent professionals who favor neutrality and poise instead of diving into the shallow end of the pool of GOP hate.

As written in my piece yesterday, "Hate is the Life Force of the GOP", once again, because they are a party of doing things based on "how they feel" more than facts, and as we know, the "feeling of hate" is so strong, they couldn't help themselves even if it causes the worst self inflicted wounds in the history of the Special Operations Military community. Feelings that decimate the ability to feel any sense of shame or embarrassment might I add. Just like when you look back on that dysfunctional relationship with your girlfriend/boyfriend and say, "I can't believe I took that from him/her in front of everyone like that!". Because you (thought you) "loved" that person, you were oblivious to being treated like a fool and embarrassed in public. The same goes for when you do things based "on the feeling" of "hate". And so in absence of shame, you have comments like the ones being made by these men who have proven themselves to be the tip of the sword in every other way. As a result, I guess it further provides a psychological profile into just how strong and destructive hate can be. And how it won't hesitate to destroy a reputation, hard work or image that you may have worked your entire life to build.

Ultimately, it serves as the best reason why we should stay away from it. And the GOP as well.

I've come to learn some rather astounding things. Aside from the obvious, which is that they are among the most hateful groups of people in our great nation, it's not enough to just say that hate drives them. When we take a closer look at the paradigm of hate within the Republican party, we have a recurrence of issues and pathologies surrounding "how they feel". Particularly in contrast to "a fact".

The GOP doesn't do well with facts. It's mostly about "how they feel" about things.

For instance, they "felt good" about the old immigration rules and
enjoyed pounding Latinos into the ground because "the law is the law and
we have no choice but to abide by it". It was a great mantra to lean on because after all, "the law" was in fact "the law". Though obviously, intelligent people understood that all laws aren't fair laws. Much less just or are examples of the American way. The Civil Rights era taught us nothing if not that much.

So now, the immigration rules have changed. But because "they don't feel" like it's a good change, Gov.
Jan Brewer and the GOP hate machine are actively circumventing "the law" which they
used to respect oh so much.

When President Obama was running for office, the GOP types reverted back to the most base core characteristic of their racist inner beings. They really felt like "an African was trying to rule over Americans and invade the White House". Anything having to do with bad old Kenya and the White House just wouldn't do. In fact, they still feel that way and if you listen intently, you'll here them say it in their "we have to take America back" rants. Which of course, we'd never heard prior to the ascension of this President.

So with the GOP, because the feelings of hate are strong, for the more delusional of the bunch, the lines become blurred and they actually super- impose their feelings into something that they create off of the top of their heads. Then voila! We have the Birther nonsense. It's all based off of and conjured up off of "how they feel". Not facts.

The same with their, "he's going to be better friends and protect the interests of Muslim nations than Americans" claims. There was no proof, evidence or facts. But they weren't embarrassed to say it because "how you feel" can easily replace shame and honor. That's why, we can look back on a past relationship and say, "I can't believe I took that from him/her". Your "feelings" for the person replaced your sense of shame. And so, you ate their crap far longer or in a way that you normally wouldn't have. because "you loved them".

Well the GOP is a party that loves hate! Therefor their sense of shame is completely gone.

As we all know, hate is widely considered the most powerful emotion that a human can have. Along with love. Both are "feelings".

Because the GOP is a party of "feelings" and hate is the feeling that they've chosen to serve as their life force, facts can rarely serve as the impetus for doing the right thing, making proper decisions, having compassion or even being reasonable because intellect is often drowned out by "feelings". It happens with normal people on a much smaller scale and less frequency everyday. Our "feelings" got in the way of a better decision or "judgement". We learn from it, we grow and when we know better, we tend to do better.

But for the Republican party, they bask in what they think is the glory of their "feelings". It serves as a security blanket for them. Because they can all come together and agree on "how they feel" without having be proven wrong in their assertions. Because after all, it's ultimately "a feeling". If i show you a birth certificate proving that you are factually wrong, I can still deny it because I'm not dealing with "facts", my friends and i all believe otherwise because it's just "how we feel". And we're all buddies for feeling the same way. Sadly in this case, feelings of hate. Pathetically enough, all of which emanate from a form of self-hatred.

So the next time you're trying to convince the Ryans, the Limbaughs and many Republicans who support Romney and their kind, just remember. You really can't argue with someone's hatred and unreasonablness because it stems from how (in their case) they've chosen "to feel". And not the facts.

Even though they're going to lose again, they are still a strong party because hate is a strong "feeling".

Ultimately futile, but still strong.

What It Takes To Be A Republican Leader

What does it take to be a Republican leader nowadays? Or even a Republican for that matter?

The way they have the beg each other to show their taxes, drop out of races, apologize, betray each other constantly and the list goes on and on shows us that there's almost an element of having to suffer from an acute psychological disorder in order to be a GOP leader.

Knowing that you can be turned on at any given minute by former friends and colleagues.

Knowing that you have to hide how you really feel particularly during election time so you don't "ruin your chances" of winning. Thus never being yourself. The kind of acting that trained actors would never want to be.

Knowing that you have to fake how you interact with the middle class, Latinos, Blacks, women, gays, Muslims, kids, students, the elderly, minorities in general and the poor because in your heart you know that you evince policies and laws that hurt them. And uphold the Romney types.

Thinking that somehow, someway history isn't going to remember your legacy of hate and shame you've brought upon our nation for your votes, coalitions and policies that go directly against the American way.

Knowing that your party is the one that made up the Birther and tea bagger movements after a Black President was elected.

Your "he's a Muslim and will be better friends with Muslim leaders than us" rants along with attacks against the President's deceased mother, living father along with chastising the President for where he went to school briefly as a little boy. All will be recorded as GOP hate. Forever.

Knowing that you want to win so bad, you'll say and do anything to win at any given moment even if you weren't raised to be that way by parents who you love and otherwise respect. Shame no longer exists for you as a party. Yet you continue on.

Knowing that lying to get ahead and deceiving have become the foundational components of your party. And you've been exposed. Yet you continue on.

Knowing that you love women in your family yet still evince policies that could alter their lives for the worse. Forever. Because you consider them to be "granular". Instead of women who are human beings.

Calling yourself a true American knowing that by doing things like blocking the Olympics, it is the most un-American thing you could possibly do. At the expense of millions of us who needed that opportunity.

And calling yourself a follower of Christ. Yet treating the poor and needy in such an unjust and contemptuous manner. Being a party associated with hate more than any other party in our great nation.

Lastly, knowing that truly, in order to hate all of these groups and people, it means that you really hate yourselves the most.

A whole hell of a lot, is what it takes to be.... one of you.

How Republicans View Women

We are all aware of the outrageous comments made by Republican leader Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) regarding women getting raped and pregnancy. It's about as disgusting and disrespectful a comment that one can make regarding women and particularly women who have been raped.

For those who have been under a rock for the last couple of days , Akin said "From what I understand from doctors, that's really rare, If it's a
legitimate rape, the female body has ways to shut that whole thing down.
But let's assume maybe that didn't work or something. I think there
should be some punishment, but he punishment ought to be on rapists."

I have outlined the psychological components of the Republican Akin and his party is my article yesterday titled "The Psychological Profile of How The GOP Views Women". Which you can read here as well.

So as Akin realizes that he made a big mistake in showing us how he and the Republicans really feel about women during such an important election cycle, we have other Republican spokespersons and "influencers" coming out in support of him. Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association,
a conservative Christian group, said that Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) was
"absolutely right" to claim that women cannot become pregnant from
"legitimate rape."

He goes on to say, "There's a very delicate and complex mix of hormones
that take place -- that are released -- in a woman's body, and if that
gets interfered with, it may make it impossible for her or difficult in
that particular circumstance to conceive a child," Fischer said during
his show Monday.

We just can't make this stuff up folks!

No one is ignorant enough to believe that these two men do not represent a large faction of how the Republicans think and view women and rape.

Additionally, the Republican party has said that even in cases of rape and incest, they want to ban all abortions thus making the decision for women. A group of mostly men! They went on to say that they don't want to get into the "granular" issues surrounding the various circumstances around abortion like rape or incest. The problem is, they view women as being "granular" compared to their own "wisdom" and exercise in authority over what women should and should not do.

And for that reason, above all. If you are a women or have ever loved a women.

You can never support the Republican party and what they represent.

The disrespect of women everywhere.

A Psychological Profile of the GOP Attack on Women

I've said it once and I'll say it again, despite all of the code, dog whistle racism, caramel coated sexism and suggestive comments regarding large portions of Americans who they wish weren't Americans, the republicans can be very forthright in how they feel.

Bring in Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.). Yesterday, the GOP Senate nominee was asked if he supported abortion in the case of rape. His answer, though disgusting, really isn't that shocking coming from the GOP conservative base. Akin stated " From what I understand from doctors, that's really rare, If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to shut that whole thing down. But let's assume maybe that didn't work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but he punishment ought to be on rapists.

Let's take a look at the psychological components of his statements in line with that of the republican party.

Here we go again with "the doctors said". When he was pressed he couldn't offer a doctors name. Evidence that the only real fact is that it's probably made up from his warped mind. Like Birther and the Muslim rants against the President, Huma Abedein and the vast majority of their claims and accusations that are made up to try and hurt us, divide us and further the republican agenda.

A very clear premise was given regarding a rape case. Not a "possible" rape case where we weren't sure of the facts surrounding a crime. But here, we see the GOP nominee immediately changing the premise of the question to that of a matter of doubt and disbelief by saying "if it's legitimate". It shows a distrust and lack of respect for women at the very least. This is the number one reason why they feel like it's OK to tell women what to do with their bodies. Not because of religion but because of a lack of trust and respect for them as equals. Capable of making their own decisions right or wrong. Religion is just the mask for their true feeling towards women.

"The female body has ways to shut that whole thing down. But let's assume maybe that didn't work or something". And what ways would that be? Scientifically, how does that all come about? Here we see, an introduction of offering a cloud of nothingness as a foundational component to reinforce his views. You can see it from afar, but can't touch it and if you were close enough, your hands would go right through it because it's a part of the air. This is patent GOP playbook stuff. They offer their word as the evidence and not facts backing up their claims. Because saying something ignorant, TO THE ignorant just once is all it takes. And they bank on us being that more than anything.

"But let's assume maybe that didn't work or something". Here's the textbook wording of the party of liars. Offering himself an out in case his original statements prove false. What's the "that" in "that didn't work"? What's "or something"? What's the "something" part pertain to? It's the sign of a pathological liar who infuses scenarios within a story to give him what he thinks is a safe passage away from his former comments. It's the equivalent of a man saying he's from outer space but his ray gun doesn't work or he can't beam himself back up because the sun rays shine differently here than his planet which causes a malfunction in his equipment. Brilliant!

We saw it when Rush Limbaugh called that nice young lady derogatory names because she used birth control and hardly any of them rebuked him for it. We see it with their concerted attacks on planned parenthood and now it's manifested itself through very specific comments made by Rep.Todd Akin.

If you're a woman, or have a woman in your life you love or have ever loved, you'd have to be crazy to vote for the republican party.

ROMNEY CONFIRMS OUR SUSPICIONS

Sometimes, when going through a serious challenge in life, no matter how strong you are, no matter how much you know you're on the right side of justice on a particular issue, the fact of the matter is, even the strongest can doubt themselves at any given juncture in the struggle.

It is inherent with being human.

Team Obama just reached out to the Romney campaign and asked that he release five years of his taxes. In return, they wouldn't barbeque him over the issue anymore and in line with their concerns, Team Obama wouldn't chastise him for not releasing more years and essentially it would be a dead issue.

Romneyhood declined once again. Now I wouldn't necessarily call this a seminal moment but it clearly let's us know two very important things.

1. We were correct in our attacks on Romney for this issue
2. We shouldn't take our foot of his neck on the issue and attack him on it harder now than ever. Morning, noon and night.

Romney has just confirmed and bolstered our strategy regarding this hyper-critical issue.

We must expose him in a very concise and methodical way and let the American public know that Romney, a man who just demanded several years of taxes from Paul Ryan, because Ryan was "applying for a job", doesn't see fit to do the same for us, because he views us as "the help". And not his potential new employers. Furthermore, his tax secrecy denotes that he's engaged in conduct that is anti-American, slick and loophole abusive. A recurring pattern in his style of leadership. The same way he led as the CEO of Bain Capitol.

A man not worthy of American trust nor the position he currently seeks.

Between her and that corrupt Sheriff of theirs, people from Arizona will be walking the streets with paper bags on their heads soon. I wouldn't blame them.

The hateful Governor issues an order on Wednesday barring undocumented immigrants who qualify for
temporary legal status in the United States from receiving any state or
local public benefits. his is in direct response to the new more relaxed immigration laws that make sense. Her devious plan prevents those covered under the Presidents new policy from receiving State issued ID.

Let's examine the crux of the GOP hateful and mean spirited behavior.

Their chief argument was "It's not that we have a choice or want to be mean to these people, it's just that
the law is the law and it must be
followed to the letter of the law, if the law were different, we
wouldn't have a problem with them" . Like most people who are ignorant and hypocrites, they had no idea that using the "we're simply enforcing the law" argument would ever change as a result of the law changing. Not in their lifetimes anyway.

With a change in our immigration policy you would think they were defeated fair and square. Because after all, we all know that they really really respect the rules and letter of the law like no one else in America. Correct? Not so fast. They are considered the party of hate and hypocrites for a reason.

Their new or in actuality seasoned policy that dates back generations has reared it's ugly head once again. When it comes to following a new law that goes against what they really
want, it's "Let's circumvent the letter and the spirit of the law and
even parts of it in order to punish those benefiting from it and the law
makers themselves."

But don't take my word for it, let's look at history in this tactic and when it was done. Perpetrated by people from all parties.

After the abolishment of Jim Crow laws.
Same with the abolishment school desegregation
Same with the abolishment of slavery
Same with voting rights
And now Immigration rights.

What the GOP did was, they took the worst people from all of those events and made a party of out them.

The GOP!

So far, they've shown hate for;
Latinos
Blacks
Middle class Whites
The poor (being the good Christians they are)
Women
Immigrants
Gays
Any republican who disagrees with them (See Justice Roberts)
Healthcare

And now with Romney's plans to destroy PBS and this latest development.
Children too.

Now that I think about it, there's actually one last thing they hate perhaps even more than all of the above now.

The law.

THE ARGUMENT FOR GOP VOTER ID

So "A Pennsylvania judge just refused to stop a tough new voter
identification law from going into effect, which Democrats say will
suppress votes among President Barack Obama's supporters" as reported by HP.

It would have halted the law requiring each voter to show a
valid photo ID.

This is GOP voter suppression at it's very best and here's why.

Believe
it or not, I'm all for everyone being required to have a State issued ID in
order to vote. I think it's reasonable, can help to prevent voter fraud
irrespective as to whether it's wide spread or not, which it's been
proven to the dismay of the GOP that it's in fact not. I believe
that it's a great way to be proactive in ensuring things stay that way.
So it's not the idea that I disagree with. It's the timing and
methodology that clearly spells out the intentions of the GOP to hurt to
poor and the elderly once again. All in the true spirit of the great
kind of Christians the GOP proclaim to be. Yep, I think they're congregation title is "Church of the destruction of the poor and elderly". As highlighted in my
previous article "The Far Right, The True Enemy of Christians and the Church" which you can on this blog as well.

So let's get to truth of things here;

Pushing this agenda is a direct attack on Americans because if the GOP was sincere and respected everyone's right to vote they would have proposed this law years ago. Not weeks before a Presidential election. But because things are looking dim from them, in their well denoted spirit of winning by any means necessary mantra, they've resorted to suppression techniques.

Here's what reasonable, responsible and decent human beings would offer by way of instituting a new voter ID law.

Everyone must have State issued ID in order to vote.

No less than 36 months prior to the ID requirement deadline, the voter ID initiative will take place.

Mobile Voter ID stations will be set up in lower socio-economic areas. (which now includes the middle class)

Temporary Voter ID stations will be set up in lower socio-economic areas.

Permanent Voter ID stations will be set up in lower socio-economic areas.

TV campaigns must run for x amount of times over x amount of time. Same with Radio.

Numerous task forces will be set up to assist with transportation of the elderly and the indigent though in most cases, it shouldn't be needed because of the temporary Voter ID stations.

Specific staff shall be assigned to nursing homes. Which would also expedite and assist with birth certificate issues. Same with Churches.

Allowances in cost for the ID should be made for the indigent.

Outside monitoring of the program should be done with progress reports and real time statistics on what's being accomplished and where they may be a need for improvements.

This kind of plan puts an emphasis on the rights of the people to vote over the concern that a person who's not qualified to vote will. Which is how it should be. Not focusing on an obvious and proven anomaly.

But then again, when you believe in "winning over everything", little things like oppression and suppression of the poor, indigent and the elderly don't stand a chance.

So much for respecting "The Office of the President"

The kind of disrespect that we've seen by the GOP is beyond anything ever recorded in the history of modern day politics. In fact, the kind of disrespect we see for The Office of the President is probably beyond anything ever done in the history of our nation.

The secret service reports more death threats with this President than ever recorded by the secret service for any President since they started recording threats.

When President Obama was running for office, there were racial epithets hurled daily. Same against him during the McCain campaign. That continues even after he's been elected.

Next we have the groups of overtly armed men at his rallies and speeches because "it's their right to bear arms". Suddenly, the nerve to do the outrageous becomes the norm.

Then we have the interruptions. First Rep. Joe Wilson yelling at the President and calling him a liar in the middle of the State of the Union. Then a heckler interrupting the President in Ohio, another in California and then we have the imbecilic reporter who displayed the worst kind of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior I've ever seen from a White House reporter. Asking "why do you favor foreigners over Americans" when it was obviously not the question and answer period of his Rose Garden speech on immigration. So rude, that the President had to admonish him for it though not as hard as he should have.

Hmm, I seem to remember when the majority of Americans were complaining about the Bush wars. Or to be specific, about their displeasure for the war. The GOP sentiment was, "be careful how you address the issue because remember, ultimately we have to respect The Office of the President above all things. It's bigger than the man in office". We agreed. But in typical GOP hypocrisy, when the tables are turned, the rules don't apply anymore.

So now with the rules clearly changed, suffice it to say that they will continue to have changed forever and what was good for the goose will be good for the gander in future situations? Probably not. Because hate is the driving force of what they do so automatically, it tends to cause a completely different behavior profile than those who are being reasonable and responsible. Though to a certain degree, it probably should change how we act towards them. Not because of any lust for disrespect. But because the GOP goes nuts when they are made to sample some of their own behavior. It's only then that they can begin to see the err of their ways and hopefully change them..

And of course, we'll continue to pray for them.

ONCE AGAIN, GOP DECEIT BY PICKING GOV. CHRISTIE

By selecting Gov. Christie as their key note speaker at the GOP convention in Tampa it proves several things. First and foremost, it shows us that they know they are not what most Americans want or believe in.

So how do they fix that you ask? Let's put the guy who many American's of all backgrounds and parties tend to like even though he's really nothing like us as a party. Dress him up as our darling and then try to fool the masses into thinking that Gov. Christie and the GOP really think and behave the same.

It appears that the GOP has become medically incapable of operating in honesty.

Gov. Christie does NOT believe in what the GOP conservative base does by any stretch of the imagination.

Isn't that supposed to be their core value and driving base? Strict conservative values? Why not put one of those types out front to tell us your very specific conservative messages? Tell us again how you feel about ALL of America.

So they parade a guy who's in the middle and good friends with Mayor Booker of Newark to show us "see, we're cool, we have a Black friend too", when in fact, as a party, they are the enemy of middle class Whites, Blacks, Gays, Women, Latinos and the poor. All of which is well known not to be the case of the good Governor.

What does it say about the moral compass of a party that would parade a set of ideas that are the farthest from how they really feel in order to gain a vote?

This choice also tells us that they are not drinking their own Kool aid but so much. They know deep down they are wrong in yet still consider themselves as true believers of their hate, attack on the poor, lack of inclusion and mean spirited campaigns. The fact of the matter is, they know that it's not what we as decent human beings and particularly Americans will ultimately stand for. But winning is all they care about.

And so their acts in desperation continues.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://destroytheright.blogspot.com/2012/08/once-again-gop-deceit-by-picking-gov.html' title='ONCE AGAIN, GOP DECEIT BY PICKING GOV.
