3. Select Scatter file from the downloaded ROM version 4.2.1 (extract downloaded file from winrar to different folder)and select all files.
4.Goto options->select usb & select USB Mode& DA Download All - & select force to High Speeds
5. Remove battery, Sim Cards & Memory Card
6. Press Firmware Upgrade (Don’t press download)
7. Insert USB data cable to PC & connect your phone & flash tool will detect your phone& downloadingstart automatically
8. When you see green circle than you are done.
9. Remove the cable from your phone insert battery & restart your phone.
10. You are done& you can insert sim cards & memory card.

FLASHING ROM

7)If everythings right,Flashing will proceed..

8)Wait till It finishes..A green ring is displayed on completion..

9)Now Close SP tool..Remove Phone from PC..

Micromax Canvas Turbo blueprint reveals possible specs

Leaked blueprint of Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 sheds light on possible specifications of the forthcoming phone

Micromax recently teased us with its forthcoming smartphone dubbed Canvas Turbo A250. However when it comes to the specifications it has been tight lipped. That hasn't stopped the rumors though which indicate that the device will arrive with a full HD 1080p display.

Now the latest rumor claim to shed some more light on the specs of the Hugh Jackman endorsed phone. It seems that the phone will come with a 13-megapixel rear snapper accompanied with LED flash. The leaked blueprint comes from MMXNewscaster, a Twitter user with a great history of leaking details of Micromax phones.

As per the sketch, the Canvas Turbo is said to feature a 5-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution as mentioned above and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Also, the leaked sketch shows that there is support for dual SIM cards both being micro SIMs on the left panel.

At the top is a micro USB port and at the bottom is a 3.5mm audio jack. The power button and volume rocker seem to be housed on the right panel of the yet to be announced phone.

Though there is no specific launch date of the Micromax Canvas Turbo, the teaser ads on internet show that the handset can be expected soon as the holiday season is approaching.

Few days ago Google Announced a new android OS version 4.3 JellyBean while some of us were expecting 5.0 Key Lime Pie but atleast the OS got updated .The First device to get this update was Nexus 7 . Though the news isn’t officially out , we read today regarding this on softpedia . Well Few of the Micromax Canvas Phones will soon be able to get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to their phone . Canvas 4 was recently launched and this phone will be the first phone in the canvas smartphone series to get this update and then for other phones .

If you are switching from 4.2 to 4.3 then you will notice only few changes but if you have a phone with 4.0.4 ICS android OS then you will be amazed to see some new added features . Android 4.3 comes with few new advanced features which you can read on the official site of Google Android . As stated above canvas 4 A210 will be the first Micromax phone to get this update and then Canvas HD will get this update .

Those phones that are already running on Jelly Bean will surely get this new update but can’t say for those phones running on ICS ,etc .

How to get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean On Micromax Canvas Smartphone ?

As You all know Micromax has started providing the updates via OTA where users can manually update their phone OS . For this you need to Follow this process – Menu–>Settings–>About Phone–>System Updates –>Check Now!

Else

Take your phone to the Micromax Service Center and ask them to update your Phone’s Android OS . Before doing this make sure you backup all your personal data .

When 4.3 jelly Bean will be available for Micromax Canvas Series ?

The update is expected to come in canvas series in the fourth quarter of 2013 .

Expected Handsets to get this update : Canvas 4 , Canvas Doodle , Canvas HD , Canvas 2 Plus , Canvas 3D, etc . NOT SURE for other handsets whether they are going to receive this update or not .

Hai guys a great news for Micromax 110 canvas 2 users A great news . Cyanogen mod 10.1 Pre-Alpha has released wich is based on the latest Android 4.2.2 Pre-alpha build 1 has released though it is not booting up we atleast have started and we can expect the stable build soon.

This was released by the the one and only one RD for Micromax a110 Varun.chitre15. Actually he posted that he is releasing AOSP 4.2.2 but suddenly came up with CM 10.1. As of now it is not booting but we can expect a stable release soon.]

And for all those who donot know what is cyanogemod 10.1 i am throwing some light here :

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. Micromax Canvas 5 to come in November? Will it run MT6592 octa-core?

After the launch of quad-core Canvas HD and Canvas 4 phablets this year, Micromax is already riding on the success of its awesome phones.

While the Canvas HD in January this year went quad-core at an affordable price, the Canvas 4 introduced a metallic profile phone in the low cost phones segment in India. Now the company seems to be in a mood to score a hat-trick in 2013 with a new Canvas phone.

The company might be announcing its next flagship, the Canvas 5 this year in November. The information comes via the regular Micromax leakster @MMXNewscaster. The leakster on the 29th September tweeted “Micromax planning to launch it's new flagship device in November?”

Though the information comes with a question mark, it is important to remember that most of the time the leaks from this leakster comes to be true later. And hence, we can believe that handset is under production.

The leak does not come as a surprise, as the iPhone 5S and 5C have already been launched, and time for launch of Nexus 5 from Google is expected to launch in October. It will be a perfect time to launch a Canvas 5 for Micromax, eyeing the festive season.

In January this year amidst the rumours of an upcoming Galaxy S4 from Samsung Micromax announced the Canvas HD. Soon after the Galaxy S4 store debut the company came up with a Canvas 4 perfectly in time to compete with its Sammy competitor in mid of this year. Pitching a phone to compete with the Nexus 5 and iPhone 5S and 5C shall not come as a surprise.

MediaTek was working with its octa-core chip during the launch of the Canvas 4. The company’s next generation true octa-core MT6592 chipset recently leaked online. This 8-core chipset has scored over 30000 points on AnTuTu benchmarks, thereby crushing the Snapdragon 800 and, beating out every other chipset such as the Snapdragon 600 and Exynos 5 Octa.

It was expected that an announcement should come around the iPhone 5S/6 launch this year. Though there is no formal announcement yet, the leak comes as a hint to expected launch of a smartphone device.

First smartphone running this processor is expected to come in as early as November, estimates gizchai. We cannot but agree.

Recently Nvidia launched its Tegra 4 processor based stylus based Note with Xolo. India being a good market for mobile devices, (especially low cost mobile devices) it will not be surprising if the octa-core MediaTek chip is found powering the Canvas 5.

After two all-new Canvas phones this year, the company needs another landmark phone for the year to end it with a bang.

What’s expected in Canvas 5

There is almost no information available on the upcoming Canvas 5. We however, do not expect the company to go back to the plastic profile phones for its next flagship this year. The phone should sport an aluminum body (or a metallic mid body). Latest Android and better camera features are also expected in the phone. We can also expect it to be full HD with a 1280 x 1080 pixels display (which was expected in the Canvas 4).

Alternatively we can also expect the Canvas 4 smartphone with this new processor clocked at a speed of at least 2 GHz and a 2 GB RAM as the new Canvas 5 smartphone.

Expected price

The expected price should be within 20K for the Canvas 5.

2. Install the apk and make sure that you had tick the "Unknown Source" at Settings>Security.
3. Go to Settings>Developer Options and enable developer options. Then, tick Usb Debugging at Debugging section.
4. Connect your phone to your pc or laptop.
5. Make sure that Android logo is visible at your status bar.
6. Open your framaroot.apk.
7. Select SuperSu or Superuser.
8. Select Gandalf exploiter.(at this point your phone may freeze for awhile)
9. Reboot your phone
10. Enjoy

Possible case once application is launched

A popup saying "Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in Framaroot", in this case you can uninstall app
You seeing one or more exploit name, also click on one after you have selected an action and you will see one of the above messages

Possible case once exploit is launched

"Success ... Superuser and su binary installed. You have to reboot your device"
"Failed ... Exploit work but installation of Superuser and su binary have failed"
"Half-Success :-/ ... system partition is read-only, use local.prop trick. Reboot your device and use adb to see if it run as root", happen when the filesystem in use on system partition is a read only filesystem (ex: squashfs)
"Failed ... Try another exploit if available"

It is clearly mentioned that "If you can not do any of the above, release your rom without a boot.img in the flashable zip."
And my ROM does not have a boot.img and it is a flashable zip.

NO need to DOWNLOAD any other app for downloading videos from YOUTUBE "Click on OGyoutube"
it will show download option for videos {Same GUI as YOUTUBE}

How To Flash :
You Can Take CMW Backup/TWRP Backup to Revert back to your old system (Just in case)

Please Note that the first boot may take upto 10 minutes.

1) Download Melting Rocks.zip File
2) Put into External/Internal SD Card
3) Go to CMW Recovery/TWRP Recovery
4) Wipe Data
5) Wipe Cache
6) Wipe System
7) Wipe Dalvik Cache
8) Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
9) Select Melting Rocks.zip and Select YES
10) If in CWM select OK / TWRP swipe to flash

NOTE:- This ROM is not Pre-Rooted so u have to root it;
Download and Flash Attachment below after installing My Rom

11) Reboot Your System
12) Enjoy

Known bugs: NONE as GPS is fixed no extra patch needed

First of all we would like to thank you Mr. Subhash Gautham for making this artice.
Flash the Stock rom with SP tools if your phone is soft or hard bricked or even though your recoveries like 'CWM' or 'TWRP' isn't opening. If you do this stuff properly and carefully then you won't need to go to the pathetic XOLO Service Center. Let's begin!

STEPS :-

1. Download attached files and unzip the folder in your PC.

2. Run SP Flash tool as an Administrator.

3. Load Scatterer file

4. Press firmware>upgrade on flash tool.

5. Connect your mobile in switched off mode.

6. Wait for the SP tool procedure.

7. Green circle pop-up and say download complete.

8. Restart your phone.
And now the phone is been booted and boot loop is stopped.

So here is a complete guide to update Micromax Canvas HD A116 to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

REQUIREMENTS
• A Micromax Canvas HD A116 with usb data cable
• Please ensure that the battery of your device is above 75%, so you don't get sudden shut down during our process.
• Take full backup of your device.
• Backup data like SMS, contacts, whatsapp data etc etc., as these would be formatted during the process.
• Install the drivers of Micromax Canvas HD from the official Micromax website.
• Download Jelly Bean OS ROM & SP FLASH TOOLS, that you will flash.
• Take the backup of the Calibration with the help of Maui Meta (This is to be done incase you mess up any thing while the upgrade. restore the calibration taken before flashing into the newly flashed rom)

INSTALLATION:

1. Install drivers - Mobistel_Cynus_T1_Drivers_x86
2. Open SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119
3. Select Scatter file from the downloaded ROM version 4.2.1 (extract downloaded file from winrar to different folder)and select all files.
4.Goto options->select usb & select USB Mode& DA Download All - & select force to High Speeds
5. Remove battery, Sim Cards & Memory Card

7. Insert USB data cable to PC & connect your phone & flash tool will detect your phone& downloadingstart automatically
8. When you see green circle than you are done.
9. Remove the cable from your phone insert battery & restart your phone.
10. It will take some times while re-starting and there will be TP Update popup. *
11. You are done& you can insert sim cards & memory card.

After Flashing and updating from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1 there will be a TP UPDATE pop up which will update the TP automatically. So it is advised DON'T TOUCH PHONE's SCREEN ON FIRST BOOT (don't even press the OK button), LET THE TP UPGRADE DO HIS WORK,WAIT FOR AT LEAST 10-15 MINUTES BEFORE DOING ANYTHING.

Xolo A700 review and Unboxing – dual core with 4.5 inch qHD display

The Xolo A700 is powered by a MTK6577 dual core processor with 512MB RAM and 4.5 inch qHD display. The handset comes with a 5MP rear camera, a front camera and supports dual SIM.

The A700 Box pack
Inside the box there is the A700 model in pure black colour with silver sides, USB to Micro USB cable, power adapter, earphone, warranty booklet and user manual.

Design
The handset definitely looks much better and slimmer than the Micromax A110. The handset is 9.1mm thick. The front side has got 3 touch sensitive buttons, in call speaker, sensors and front camera. The rear side is black colour with matt finishing and comfortable to hold.

The power button is on the right and volume rockers on the left. There is one more button (the camera button) on the left side just below the volume rockers. You need to press and hold the camera button for few seconds to launch the camera app, you can also use it for clicking photos.

Inside the hood
I will make this quick – it’s the same hardware MTK6577 + PowerVR SGX 531 GPU as seen on many other handsets like Xolo A800, Micromax A110, Lava Iris 501 and many more. The Xolo A700 supports dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm jack and micro USB port. The handset sails on the Android 4.0 (ICS) OS.

The display screen is 4.5 inches with 960×540 pixels resolution (16M colours). There is a 5MP rear camera capable of shooting videos in 720p resolution and a front 0.3MP camera for video calling. The handset weighs about 115 grams.

The Lava A700 comes with accelerometer, proximity and light sensors. There is no magnetic sensor. A 1700 mAh battery powers the handset with 3 hours talkime over 3G network and 288 hours standby time on 3G network. If you are using only the 2G network then you get 6 hours talktime and 425 hours standby time.

RAM is 512MB of which 223MB is free.
There is 4GB internal storage of which 503 MB is allocated for apps (467MB free) and 2GB as internal storage, similar to as seen on A110 and A800.
There is micro SD slot for adding additional storage of up to 32GB.

Performance
I did not find any issues with the handset. The touch is smooth and responsive. The apps load faster, no lags and text rendering is pretty smooth. The image quality is really good thanks to smaller screen and higher resolution. Viewing angle is good. The sound is loud and clear. In call sound is also good enough.

Benchmark Scores

Quadrant Benchmark: 2747.
Anutu Benchmark: 6333.
Nenamark2: 23.6 fps.
Linpack : Single 36 , Multi 55.
Multi Touch : 5 Point.

Camera
The auto focus 5MP camera captures decent shots. The indoor shots are not that good – it is the case with many handsets. You can record videos in 720p resolution. But I found that the auto focus was not working in 720p video mode and had to tap the screen to focus the subject. You can check the sample video at the end of the article.

Entertainment
The sound quality is good. You can play 720p videos – 1080p videos not supported. The sound output is better via earphones of a good quality better than what you get with MMX A110.

Battery
The handset comes with 1700 mAh battery. I did not get enough time to check the battery. But the battery drop was decent while I was doing the review / benchmarks. It should last for over a day with moderate usage. The handset does get heated up a bit when used continuously for some time.

Xolo A700 review
It is a good alternative for users who are not comfortable with a 5inch phone and looking for something like the MMX A110. The Xolo A700 is with the same hardware a smaller screen and with 5MP camera. Though the camera output is not that bad, the camera on A800 is much better. For 7,999 A700 is not a bad option.

5 Move to Sdcard
