Like most of the parents we came this awesome stage when we hear thousand of times during a day those two sentences. “I want it” or ” I don’t want it”. It’s like a little war every day.

Even after reading lot’s of parenting books sometimes it hard to keep yourself quite.
Only sense of humor helps us to stay safe and sound. We hope we are strong enough to survive.

There are lot’s of tricks to switch attention to something other but they don’t work every day. There are some days when nothing can switch attention from ” I want it” to something different. But it’s ok.

The most important is to understand that it’s only stage of development as a person. We all behaved in this way. Maybe…

Surfing the web I came across lovely Tilda toys. I can tell honestly that one day I’ll try to make some of them for my daughter. Or for myself… Just look at them.

They are very simple but fantastic at the same time.

Anyone can make them and use author’s patterns. It makes everything very easy:)

Play Patterns with Toddler

Is your toddler bored with everything and wants something new?

Try to play patterns. Amazing activity developing imagination and aestheticism. If you haven’t taught colors your toddler yet it’s great opportunity to do it playing patterns.

Game is very easy and doesn’t take much time to be prepared for you.

You need some sheets of colored paper and white paper. The plot of your picture you have to invent yourself. Usually it can be something your toddler is interested in.

Toddler can’t the papers good enough to be able to make a shape, so you have to help in this.

Give your toddler glue and patterns. But don’t leave your working toddler alone:) Let your child work independently even if something going wrong.

You make try also some natural patterns. They are interesting also. But don’t forget to dry leaves and flowers before using in your artworks.

Toddler and Bilinguism

Modern world is not a world of a single language.
Our time is not time of people dedicated to one language. It’s even impossible for those who want to speak only one language.
Society is transforming itself so fast and we see great changes almost every year.
We can learn foreign languages in every age but easier to do it when you are child.
To my mind the best way to help your child in learning other languages is to make your toddler bilingual.
My Toddler is bilingual and I’m very glad that I’ve helped her in this.
Here are some thoughts why it’s so important.
1. Till the age of 3 a mind of a child is in the stage of its intensive development. There are many films and books explaining how receiving of new information helps creating bounds between exciters. Of course it doesn’t mean that everyone who starts to learn language later never able to reach the goal. But it’s more easy to do it when you are child because any information is absorbed instantly.
2. You can easy integrate some geography information (we successful this done with our daughter) while teaching other languages.
That’s very interesting to speak about other countries and cities, cultures and customs. Perhaps, some people think that it’s too early to speak about it with toddlers. But I’m sure toddler loves to know more about the world.
3. Speaking a foreign language is like putting glasses of different colors in order to see the world in a new way. Who can argue that it’s incredibly developing?
4. I’m teacher of foreign languages and I’m very glad that my knowledge helped me in developing my toddler.
My daughter can easily learn any language she wants in any time of her life because her mind is trained for it.

7 Things Kunfu Panda Can Teach a Parent

Kunfu Panda like a Parenting Guide

Each movie or cartoon can teach us something good, something bad or leave without any idea what was on the screen. I want to speak only about movies from the first case. What can we learn about parenting while watching some cartoons with our kids?

My daughter like to watch Kunfu Panda. We watched it together a hundred times. But every time this amazing cartoon teaches me something new. (Maybe the reason is that I’m so stupid to get everything from the first time like the most people do.)

If you are still reading this post I can tell you what I’ve learned.

Parents can have absolutely different children. A goose has a son - panda. Perhaps, it’s usual thing in China.
Your choice is not choice of your child. Sometimes it’s really hard to realize it. But let’s life as it is.
Be attentive. Listen what your kids are trying to tell you. Making your own plans and following your every day routine you can miss something really important they want to tell you.
Everyone has their own destiny. Though we try to make lifepath smother and safer for our children we can’t do all work for them. All “pandas” have to work hard to achieve something.
If desire is sincere and strong the whole Universe can give you everything you want. As to me that’s the main rule we have to teach our kids.
The secret ingredient doesn’t exist. The secret is inside us. We have only to learn how to use it.
Sense of humor helps in any situation.

Stop Cell Phone Deafness!

Very often I see many parents speaking over the cell phones while their kids are playing in the playground.

Yes, it seems very important to speak with our friends and family. But I don’t believe all conversations are very urgent.

Kids are left to themselves while the parents present only physically during the walk.

I feel pity for those kids. They probably very seldom communicate with parents.

It’s necessary to do really something bad for them to be noticed.

I wonder how people lived without cell phones and didn’t die or arrange everything in time.

Cell phones were created for communication but had less real communication since we started to use them.

Especially with our children…
